- Alex (2/5): - The hotel charged me in dollars with a terrible exchange rate, rather than pesos, which violated the Orbitz terms and is also illegal in Mexico. In addition, they charged me for breakfast even though it was supposed to be free and didn't tell me until I was checking out. Finally, the wifi terrible -- forget about trying to work remotely.

We visit Zacatecas often, have stayed in a handful of hotels and have our long time favorites. Casa Torres will now be our preferred accommodations.

Sugiero que tengan a la mano algunos calentadores portátiles para que se puedan ocupar cuando no funcione el Minisplits o necesite ayuda para calentar la habitación.

El problema es que No te ayudan con equipaje, no son atentos, el estacionamiento está enfrente y no te ayudan a estacionar, a sacar equipaje, ya que por fin atraviesas cargando todo, no tienen elevador y tú tienes que subir equipaje 2 o 3 pisos al llegar, y al salir también lo mismo pero ahora para entregar habitación. Pedimos nos reservaran un paseo, al llegar aproximadamente con 15 horas de anticipación, pasaban según 9:45 am nos engañaron que habían hecho la reserva, nadie de las 3 personas llamó para que pasaran x nosotros y decían que era culpa de la empresa del tour. Por fin 10:30 nos recogieron porque les amenazamos que no queríamos nada, pero la realidad fué que a los demás si los recogieron ala hora indicada y el personal de Casa Torres nunca reservó para nosotros. El horario de restaurante dicen una hora y cierra más temprano, menú de cena muy pobre, pedimos y no tenían nada, la cena fué solo un Té, pues no había nada más.

- Alicia (10/5): - The property was in an excellent location, just a block from cathedral. Room was big and very clean. Staff was very accommodating, even when we had to access our car several times. They have a private parking garage across the street that remains locked. The only thing that didn't work for me was the lack of elevator. Breakfast was included, but I am not able to safely climb 4 flights of stairs. It was ok, because they brought my meal down to my first floor.
- Adri (10/5): - Loved the hotel. It was about 2 blocks from the cathedral. You can walk everywhere. It was clean and all we needed for a 4 night stay. The hotel was full for the weekend and we ended up staying in one of the front rooms @ the entrance of the hotel. We thought it was going to be horrible, loud and unsafe. Actually we felt even more safe because we were next to the reception and they have 24hr staff. The rooms darken if you have a night out and need to sleep in & the other guest were not that loud so that was not an issue. The breakfast is cut up fruit, yogurt, granola, fresh juice (OMG the orange juice was super pulpy and delicious!), coffee and toast/pan dulce. If you are not a heavy breakfast eater this is perfect. It was not too heavy to start the day. They also offer tours and can print your boarding passes.
- mtlbaltdan (8/5): Centrally Located for Zacatecas Exploration - Let me begin by saying what an under-rated jewel Zacatecas is. A gorgeous colonial jewel of a city with amazing views from up-high in the teleferico and the high points of la Bufa and el Grillo. And the Hotel Casa Torres was an ideal place for exploring this amazing city, being only 2 streets from the main cathedral. While the breakfast included is only continental, there are more traditional hot breakfasts which can be made for you. Be aware that there are 2 buildings of the Casa Torres, very close to each other, but that only one has the breakfast. Our room was a nice mix of modernity and old-world-charm. My only complaint was that the card-operated lighting system was a bit wonky in our room and my travel companion was annoyed that one employee seemed to not want to answer questions (my friend speaks fluent Spanish, so it's not that) forthrightly and instead was evasive. Nevertheless, I think Hotel Casa Torres is a great choice.

- Holly (10/5): Near Perfect - Casa Torres has a perfect location in the Historic Area of Zacatecas, yet is a challenge to locate if you are driving. This is no fault of the Hotel, but of the road maintenance which was on going at time of our stay. The Hotel is near perfect; its rooms are newly renovated, modern, beautifully decorated and so very comfortable. We had a standard room, located on the first floor, close to front of Hotel, but it was very quiet. Their breakfast room/restaurant is located on the top floor with a wonderful view of Zacatecas. Their complimentary continental breakfast was deluxe, tasty and filling If ever we return to Zacatecas, we will stay for sure at Casa Torres.
- jean (8/5): I will return... - I loved the hotel; charmingly furnished with lots of original art. I had a fabulous view from my terrace. The restaurant has a million $ view and good service. The location is close and safe. The only problem I had was with the a/c it never really worked. I only needed it once a day when the sun set. But the thing that bothered me, is they never told me the truth about it—better to say we don’t have any!

I had troubles to connect to the internet with my mac. PCs and iphone were ok, macs are temperamental. I lost my earphones bose. They sent them very quickly and just have to pay the airbill. Very helpful and friendly.

Large well equipped rooms, good internet, free parking, friendly staff, a delicious breakfast included and a central location. It was an enjoyable stay and great value.

- almo52 (10/5): i will stay here again! - we drove into zacatecas, five couples in an urvan and right from the start we had excellent service. gonzalo from the front desk,came out to meet and greet us, he hurried across the street to guide us into the parking lot, help with our luggage, and quickly assigned us our rooms. my husband and i lucked out getting room 301 on the top floor, huge room, with a very ample balcony overlooking the whole city. wonderful views any time of day. we stayed three nights, even had the other couples over in the evening for a drink on our balcony! the room was spotless and modern, lots of hot water in the shower. great location, just two blocks to downtown. the breakfast room on the forth floor also had the same wonderful view, excellent service, and delicious breakfast including coffee, frech fruit, juices and breads, you could aslo order inexpensive items from the menu such as eggs, pancakes. etc. as i say, the service at the restaurant was excellent. this hotel actually has two separate buildings, which i don't think most people know about....(we were a very curious group of travellers! ) we stayed in the building without an elevator, but the other building does have one, so if you don't want to take suitcases up one or two flights of stairs, ask for the other structure. customer service was tops at the front desk, no matter who was there. but i want to congratulate gonzalo on alway being very willing to help with any questions or services. and ok, so the internet isn't the greatest, but who wants to be on it all the time in beautiful zacatecas!!!
- shawna196 (10/5): Highly recommend! - We were there two nights and had a room on the ground floor facing the street. I was worried about noise but really didn't have any issues to speak of. The bed was super comfortable, the room was very clean, and had a beautiful, modern decor. The location was PERFECT! Just off the main street, about a 5 minute walk, never felt unsafe, even in the evenings. The breakfast was beautiful and we were happy with the selection, presentation and quality. Really a charming town.
- IngridTrue (10/5): Great value - When I booked using a third-party site in the comments section I requested a room with a balcony and a view; they gave me the room on the highest guest floor with the best view, which was greatly appreciated. The views at sunset and at night were truly spectacular (see photos). Rooms are comfortable and clean and great value for money. The free breakfast was tasty and very generous; I did not need to order any additional items. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful with requests like booking taxis. Location is excellent: a few minutes’ walk to the cathedral. There is noise from the city center on weekends but the hotel is far enough away that it didn't bother me. During the week the nights were extremely quiet. My only complaint is that the wifi was unreliable. To be fair, this is a common problem in Mexico. I was initially unable to connect on either my laptop or phone in the room, but after going down to the lobby I was able to log in on both. However, only the laptop continued to work in the room, and the connection often dropped. The signal seemed to be strongest in the lobby and the restaurant on the top floor and weakest on the third floor where my room was, but I didn’t want to change rooms and lose my beautiful view.

Reception clerk argued with us about the room rate at check-in (we had pre-booked through Expedia) Our room had king-size bed but window was 2 feet from the wall of the neighbouring building (no view, no fresh air.) Continental breakfast was very nice, and the 4th floor restaurant provided an expansive view of the entire City. Hotel is divided into two sections, and we rarely saw staff in our section which gave it an eerie vibe (where is everyone?) Good location for walking throughout the historical centre.

- cutthecrap4 (6/5): Only average - My room was on the second floor facing the street. It was so noisy, I hardly got any rest. We had no internet on any of our three days, although we continued to be promised it would be taken care of. This hotel is within walking distance of a lot of wonderful attractions. I wouldn't stay here again.

- Ray (10/5): - This hotel has 2 parts i stayed in the newer part. very good! clean quiet great location. did i say quiet? good internet. TV was a good size and it was connected to internet so for all YouTube junk's this place is for you. I would definitely stay her again when i go back. Oh the newer part has elevator but the older part doesn't and to have breakfast. you have to clime. but if you are having problem. i have a feeling they would bring your breakfast to you. over all ill give this place A+

- 993paulinab (10/5): Excelente - The hotel was very clean and with great service. Included breakfast is fresh and delicious. Our room was always cleaned in less than 1 hour. The only thing I would point out is that my room was located in the first floor and we could hear noises at night when people entered the hotel.
- Michele (10/5): Love this convenient and clean hotel - Our stay at the hotel was wonderful. It is a bit removed from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area, but it is very close to everything. The rooms are clean and the staff is fantastic - from the front desk to the waitresses in the restaurant. The hotel has a small restaurant on property with very good food. A continental breakfast consisting of fruit, juice/coffee, pastries, yogurt and granola is included. Additional breakfast items can be ordered, and lunch and dinner can be ordered at the restaurant (there is no room service). It is nice to come back to the hotel and eat at the restaurant if you want to get away from the busy downtown area. The rooms have individual heating/cooling units which are quiet and efficient. In my view, I have found my home away from home. The hotel is very lovely with a superb staff.

- Marilynn (10/5): Great location great view - The hotel is in a quiet location off the main area. Service and hospitality was excellent as well as one of the best breakfasts ever.....included in the hotel price. Only downside is that the wifi did not work well in the room.....had to access it in the breakfast or reception area.
- Robert (10/5): Outstanding hotel - We stayed at Hotel Torres for a weekend getaway and we came back delighted with this place. It's very close to Zacatecas downtown, the breakfast was always great, hotel staff is very kind and always willing to assist, the room has everything you need, comfortable bed and pillows, very clean. The hotel is very well decorated, art is everywhere which is always pretty much appreciated. For sure we'll come back to Hotel Torres in our next getaway to Zacatecas.
- Cpharris21 (10/5): I was surprised - I was surprised at how nice this hotel was. They have two buildings and the rooms are very modern, very clean, and very spacious. The free breakfast in a nice place of fruit and yogurt with juice coffee and about five types of bread. They also have other things you can order and all that I tried were great and inexpensive. I did not eat dinner there but what I saw looked really good. The only draw back was the internet was a little sporadic at times.
- kenya (8/5): Nice hotel in the heart of Zacatecas. - Beautiful and clean hotel located behind the Zacatecas Cathedral. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The only problem is the noise over the weekend, I stayed in a room with a street view. It is very nice to have a continental breakfast included. Food is very good as well.
- Monica (8/5): Centrally located ! - I reserved junior room #102 the window was facing the street. What i loved about this hotel, were the views and the walk to the historic district ( 5 min). I Requested a room Close to the entrance because The guest has difficulty going up several stairs. Unfortunately, the restaurant it's on the fourth floor. The bed was a bit smaller than i expected. But overall, i definitely recommend this hotel.
