Nothing gold star, but nothing wrong either, although the smell of furniture polish was a bit overpowering when we first entered the room. Stop, shower, sleep, and leave. Exactly what we needed. Exactly what we paid for.

• Kimbull (8/5): - Self-contained cabin was very clean and comfortable. Owners are very friendly and helpful. A couple of suggestions for the owners would be to put a non-slip surface on the bathtub, and to improve the internet which was intermittent at times.

There was a massive storm which knocked our power in the area and this motel was one of the few places that had power. All we wanted was a hit shower. They took advantage of the situation and are trying to get paid twice for the same room. Avoid this place

Great time!! Really cute little cabins great location. Perfect outside area for enjoying an evening drink.

• normmork (4/5): WET Sheets and I can't be bothered Attitude - This motel was fairly quiet except there are trains that pass nearby. We checked in around 9:30 pm, there was a phone on the front desk that said dial zero and then someone comes out of the living quarters to check you in. The sheets on my wife's bed were wet with water and nothing else on the bed was wet which I found strange. We could not get new sheets as the desk was closed as it was around 11 pm and this is a family owned place and they were asleep. However the most galling part which I found to be rude was the next day when I went to check out I did it by the phone on the front desk. The people who owned the place could not bother to come to the desk and check me out.
• Ross (8/5): - Nice little motel that was very clean and had a comfortable bed. The tub was quite slippery and a mat in the tub would be a great addition. Nice family run operation with good value for your money.

• Alexandria (10/5): Excellent stay - My friend and I stayed here one night since we had a business meeting the next morning and the room was far cleaner and nicer than we thought. Linens were clean and water was hot for a shower. Had a very good stay and the owner was very very kind. Would definitely stay here again for such a good price.
• Taryn (2/5): - Will never stay here again, way over priced, dirty and nothing is supplied! coffee maker, hairdryer , 2 towels for 3 people, would have left and stayed elsewhere but everything was booked. Its more like one of those dives motels you live at when your down on you luck than a comfortable hotel for a nights stay! So disappointing
• h j (6/5): Room stinks - Room appeared clean but there was an oppressive chemical smell which permeated the room. The staff were obviously aware of this as the windows were wide open when we entered our room. This was not enough to rid the room of the odor.
• willis5001 (8/5): Clean rest - The place was clean. We had Large room with a queen and couch. Fridge and microwave. Nice large screen with all the movie channels. No coffee machines though there is a Tim's up the road. A little more attention to details would add that last star.

Would have been an overall positive visit but would have liked to have had a box of kleenex and some white not yellowe white pillowcases and crisp white sheets. Furniture was drabby and would have liked a coffee maker in the room. Not saying it was a bad experience.
• John D (10/5): I'd recommend it to my friends - Excellent place. Very friendly service. It's a motel outside town, but I decide to save a few bucks and walk to the place from downtown and it wasn't hard to get there.
• Daniel (8/5): Great experience. - Check-in was prompt, and the staff member was very friendly. Our room was very spacious, bright, and clean. Having a coffee maker in the room would have been nice, although the fridge and microwave were clean and adequate. All in all, a great stay for the price, and this will be our motel of choice when visiting Smiths Falls in the future.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointed this time - I have been coming here for years. Owners are extremely friendly. The rooms however are starting to look rough. Our phone didn't work, none of the lamps worked and the alarm clock did not work. The heater is good but a very strong draft rushes cold air into the room. Water pressure very low and the shower is pretty rough. This motel use to be a diamond in the rough... not so much anymore. Again, very nice owner but this stay I think has convinced me to look elsewhere next time we are in town.
• Kelvin (8/5): Better than average motel - I checked in rather late but reception was still up waiting for me, was told I was the last guest of the day. The room was nice and quiet I would say better than an average motel. Only things that bothered me were that they didn't refill their toilet paper and they had no clothes hooks in the bathroom.

• alfredok390 (2/5): TERRIBLE MOTEL. NOT RECOMMENDED - The hotel has no services (coffe machine, breakfast, etc). Very poor service. The person in charge, very unfriendly. I went to tell him that the WIFI was connected, but stopped connecting to Internet, he immediately told me that the problem was on my laptop. My answer was, it wasn't, and that I already checked with another laptop (I work with computers, and have 3 on this trip). Finally, found that the WIFI I was connected, had a problem, but he was connected to another router. He never mentioned that. And when I told him that that was not the way to treat a customer, he said I was wrong. Not a very friendly person, not also the way to treat customers.
• JennWilliams69 (2/5): Worst place ever. Stay away. - I called the hotel and they quoted me a price $30 more than what was online. They would not match the offer. The owner had friends staying over and they made excessive noise late at night. He yelled at me when I politely asked him if he could ask them to lower the noise. Their friends were loud and had kids running all over the place in front of our room and screaming. He said he couldn't do anything since it wasn't 11pm. I told him he could at least ask them politely. He screamed at me. I even told him to stop yelling since I was talking quite low. He made fun of me and threatened to call the police on me. I'd rather pay extra and stay somewhere else if it means that I'm treated with more respect. Don't stay here. Run from this place as fast as you can.
• Piperwilly (8/5): Forget those big hotel chains! - Needed to get a room late and night and was feeling resentful at the thought of spending over a hundred dollars for 7 hrs sleep. Checked tripadvisor first and decided to try Best Inn. Really glad I did! For under a hundred bucks I got a nice clean room and the owner, Peter, was a very good host. I spoke with him for almost half an hour and was glad to support a local family owned business. I would go back again anytime.
• West1107 (8/5): Stop over on the way to Ottawa - Hubby decided to leave a night earlier for our weekend away with our youngest. Looked on booking.com for a cheap option and found this....we've never stayed in a motel! Hubby was totally disappointed....he was thinking we were going to stay at a seedy place (he's watched way too many movies) The rooms look freshly painted, beds are comfortable (our lad kept saying how comfy his bed was). Will definately rebook. Owner very nice and helpful as we arrived late at night in bad weather!
• 322winniem (2/5): uneventful, until we got the bill - my wife and i stayed here the night of Feb 24 2017. The next day my visa bill was charged 169.50 for a 'Clean up' of the room fo alledgely smoking in the room. We did not smoke in the room. The owner billed my visa card for the cleanup. Visa says that nothing can be done, he has the right to do this. This is fraud. I would not recommend this motel to anyone
• gonin60seconds (8/5): Excellent short stay - good value - Stayed for one night on the way somewhere else. Clean, comfortable, quiet room; friendly owners. Comfortable bed. Amenities (towels, etc.) as expected at a roadside motel. The price was right. Breakfast at diner down the road was solid. Would happily stay again.
• legault82 (2/5): Very disapointed - Stay there couple month ago and did had a good expériences.... Really like the concept of the cabine at the back.... We stay my husbnd and i for a week and a half .... They told us that we destroy the room cos the carpet was dirty...!!!! They never offer to do the room in the week and i had to bring towel & sheet to get replace .... For the price with no service, its way better at roger motel.....
• 550kellyf (8/5): Clean, comfortable , quiet and friendly motel - Stay here frequently. All rooms clean and quiet. Owners are friendly and attentive. Any requests have been accommodated. Excellent value for rates. Microwave and fridge clean. Large tv with good channel selection. Beds are comfortable. Air conditioning and heat work well. A nice place to stay.
• Traveller99ab (10/5): Excellent family motel - Lots of space in the room. Air conditioning worked well. Room and bathroom clean. Nice large TV, microwave, fridge. Convenient parking at the side of the room. But the real recommendation comes from the friendly, polite and very helpful owners, who helped me find things in Smiths Falls. This is the third time I have spent a few days in this motel on business in the last several years, and I look forward to returning there.
• reelman59 (8/5): Clean, bright, and quiet - Our requested "early" check-in was prompt and hassle free. The proprietor, Peter, was very cheerful and friendly. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of our spacious room. It was newly decorated and very clean. Due to it's location well away from the highway, and behind the main building, it was very quiet. We will surely be returning.
• gcbenedict (2/5): double billed - evening clerk double billed us and they will not return our one billing saying there bank only shows one charge and we showed the manager our bank statement show it was taken out 2 times I think they are thiefs
• rpthirty1 (6/5): Clean, practical accommodations - If all you're looking for is a clean room and comfortable bed, you will be quite satisfied with this motel. The owner is very kind and courteous. The small rooms have very basic features. The rooms are split into separate pods so noise is limited. Room had a small microwave and fridge but lacked some other basics: iron, hair blower, coffee maker.
• cailin8888 (10/5): Really nice cabin room, spotless, very friendly staff! A gem for the price! - We were nicely surprised to find an attractive and clean cabin room for such a low price. It was spotless and comfortable, the owners friendly and kind. The bathroom very clean which is the first thing I look for. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the extra large tv on the wall to watch the last of the Batchelorette. :) It was a very pleasant stay and much improved from the motel down the street which was near the same price.
• PRiver_12 (10/5): Modest and clean: a friendly stopping place for couples or families - This little private hotel is just before Smith Falls on Rte 15 which connects Kingston to Ottawa along the Rideau River. It is run by a family and they take pride in customer service and cleanliness. Ideal location to spend a night in transit without spending a small fortune.
• 131beverleyc (10/5): Hospitality - Wonderful welcoming people..we stayed for a week and enjoyed "worry-free" home base...the owner is very welcoming and very interested in keeping the rooms and his property in "excellent condition"...this is the place to stay...the room was clean, clean and clean...what more can one ask?!
