• Arnoud (9/5): - De kwaliteit van het eten, zowel het ontbijt als het diner (we hadden halfpension geboekt), de ervaren gastvrijheid, de service, de kamer - uiteraard in Japanse stijl - en het feit dat je een pas krijgt om naar de verschillende baden te gaan. Niets.

• Hannah (10/5): - Everything about our stay at Tsutaya Ryokan was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond during our stay to make sure that we were content and comfortable. We had a traditional Japanese evening meal and breakfast included in our booking, which I highly recommend for those who want to experience traditional Japanese cuisine. The ryokan is perfectly located within a few minutes walk of several of the town’s onsens and is only a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. The staff even offered to drive us to the station on the morning of our check out! Our stay was absolutely wonderful and was an experience that I will never forget.

• Maria Chiara (4/5): Un bel posto ma non so se ne valga la pena - La struttura è carina, c’è una piccola Onsen all’interno, le camere sono dotate di riscaldamento, quindi anche se un ryokan non soffrirai il freddo. Il comportamento dello staff non mi ha messo a mio agio: appena arrivata, devi toglierti le scarpe, ti fanno mettere le ciabatte, ti portano a scegliere la yukata ( dove ti devi togliere le ciabatte) mentre fornisci loro il passaporto. La cena è alle 18, sebbene su Booking ci sia scritto che la cena è dalle 18 alle 20, in realtà si inizia alle 18 e finisce alle 20, stessa cosa per la colazione: inizia alle 7:30, massimo 8:00. A cena abbiamo strappato un 18:30 come orario per la cena ma ci hanno messo fretta; la colazione mio marito l’ha saltata perché non si è svegliato in tempo. I cuscini sono scomodi. La stanza è provvista di un bar ben fornito, peccato che quando ti fanno pagare le bevande consumate non controllano cosa manchi effettivamente dal frigo….oltre alle birre ci hanno fatto pagare il saké che avevamo acquistato per conto nostro in un altra città. Nonostante gli abbiamo detto che non l’avevamo preso dalle bevande della stanza, l’hanno messo a carico nostro.

• Johanes (9/5): - Excellent stay in Kinosaki Onsen village as well as in this ryokan. The room is spacious and the staff were helpful despite limited communication barrier. The ryokan has their own public bath, small but comfortable. The ryokan is at the point of the village close to the ropeway and main public baths. Good price for the quality. The dinner was faboulous. Dinner was faboulous but would be better if explication was given or english menu was provided.

• Muriel (7/5): - Das Ryokan ist eine altehrwürdige Gaststätte, die definitiv in die Jahre gekommen ist. Das ist an sich auch ok. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir wussten, dass wir auf traditionellen Betten schlafen werden, was uns eher Mühe bereitet hat. Aber die Erfahrung war es wert. Die Lage ist gut, die öffentlichen Onsen sind gut zu Fuss erreichen. Ein Highlight sind die Kimonos, die man bei der Ankunft erhält. Die Sauberkeit war nicht die beste und das hauseigene Onsen ist kein Besuch wert.

• Christophe (9/5): Un séjour qui vous immerge dans le Japon qu’on aime! - Un Ryokan japonais traditionnel qui vous immerge dans l’ambiance du Japon que l’on aime! Les équipements et l’immeuble sont une peu anciens et pourraient être rafraîchis, mais l’ambiance est excellente et les propriétaires d’une gentillesse remarquable. On s’y sent comme en famille, dans un endroit chargé d’histoire. Et surtout: la cuisine est excellente! On se délecte des plats japonais préparés le matin à 8h et le soir à 18h dans une salle de restauration très belle et traditionnelle. Je recommande.

• Kelly (9/5): Excellent hospitality and location. Wish we stayed longer. - The staff were warm and welcoming, we felt like we were visiting a friend's home. The meals were beautifully prepared and we enjoyed the ryokan's onsen. They were very accommodating to our family with two small kids (3yr and 5 yrs). Cold barely tea and green tea was often set out in the evenings in the room. However, it would be nice to have an electric kettle in room to prepare some coffee/tea in the early mornings.

• Jozef (9/5): Unique experience in traditional Ryokan with Japanese meals and extra helpful staff - Staff was very helpful and attentive and was always steps ahead of our and provided every need and tips. Almost every meal was new to us as we are from Europe, but they explained everything and we did like it very much. It's certainly might not be for everybody so you better check the food options before booking.

• Josh (8/5): Great food and room. - The kaiseki dinner was good and the portion was enough to fill us, unlike some ryokan establishments & we eat A LOT. Hahaha. The location is great and near the temple. However, Kinosaki is a small town and everything is within walking distance. The Wi-Fi was very bad. The staff tried their best to understand us. However, there should be at least 1 staff that can converse in good English at the Ryokan which is located at a popular tourist destination. I understand Japan is a very traditional and homogenous country. However, in this day and age, it is necessary to have at least 1 staff that can speak fluent English. That way, we as tourists can also enjoy the full hospitality of the establishment. Also, the bath in the Ryokan is subpar. However, I understand most people use the public baths around town instead.

Will surely refer frien - Beautiful traditional ryokan with such lavish keiseki meals served twice a day but the staff. Futon beds made daily by the staff also. Has a small onsen of its own, they also gave us passes to other onsens in town. Staff is lovely and great in communication. Our room helper was excellent and took great care of us. Amazing place in a quaint little town! will surely refer friends here! Arogato and Sayonara to the staff! NA
• Tayana (10/5): A traditional experience to remember! - The staff was great! The owner was lovely. She made me feel welcomed and at home. There was a full course dinner and breakfast included. I got to choose a beautiful Yukata to wear which the owner helped me put on, and a pass is included which gives you access to all the onsens around town. Also, upon checkout they offer you luggage carrier services where they will take your luggage to the station for you free of charge. I enjoyed my stay and will be back during my next visit! I liked everything but did wish there was a private shower in the room. I believe there was a public bath on the floor though.
