• Silke (8/5): - Die Lage in den Bergen war sehr ruhig, wir hatten einen schönen Blick aufs Meer. Alles sehr gepflegt, sehr nette Gastgeber, die einen mit Tipps für den Ort und Ausflüge versorgen. Direkt neben der Unterkunft ist eine große Baustelle, was leider bei der Buchung nicht erwähnt wurde. Wir waren ziemlich entsetzt, als wir ankamen. Letztendlich war davon aber glücklicherweise im Zimmer nichts zu hören. Sollte aber erwähnt werden.

• Tracey (8/5): Lovely hosts but a shame about the building site right next door - The Boat House is a lovely small hotel with wonderful hosts - Walter and Amanda who were very helpful and had lots of knowledge about the area and South Africa in general. We couldn’t fault their hospitality and that of the staff. The downside to this hotel is that the owners have decided to build another property slap bang next door so it was a building site from 8am to 6pm and therefore impossible to have any peace and quiet on our balcony. At no point did we have any prior knowledge of this building work taking place - such a shame as it’s likely to continue for quite some time.

• Daniel F.O. (9/5): Great place in Simon's Town - The location, the view and the staff were absolutely fantastic, very made our stay to be special and memorable. There is a construction site happening right next to the place. The noise and also the site is quite dangerous for guests unaware of the unstable soil. The manager was hurt by falling on the construction site during our stay but still did her best to make us feel safe and comfortable.
• Krause (4/5): - Management und Service war super Baustelle direkt neben dem Zimmer. Baustelle nicht gesichert und der Zugang zur Treppe ist zusammengebrochen - mit Personenschaden!!! Zimmer nur über umwege erreichbar. Grundstück nicht mit Zaun gesichert und die Kamera ist fake! Fairer weise bekommen wir eine Teilerstattung.

• Annika (9/5): - Wir haben ein kostenloses Upgrade bekommen und waren in einem tollen Zimmer mit super Ausblick untergebracht. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und das Frühstück sehr lecker. In das Städtchen runter zu den Cafés und Restaurants sind es circa 15min zu Fuß, zu den Pinguinen circa 20min. Evtl wäre ein Moskitonetz ganz praktisch gewesen da wir nachts ein kleines Mückenproblem hatten.

• Marc (9/5): Tolle Unterkunft, danke für die tolle Informationen für weitere Ausflüge - Tolle Aussicht aufs Meer, über den Dächer von Simon Town. die Unterkunft hat eine kleine Küche mit Spülbecken ein großes Tageslicht Bad sehr bequeme Bitten. Wir waren für eine Nacht dort tolle Ausgangspunkt zur Besichtigung der Pinguine und um ans cape zu fahren. Wenn man zum Strand will, muss man ein Auto nehmen oder ein Taxi. Dafür hat man eben aber auch eine tolle Aussicht aufs Meer..

Belle décoration La chambre était petite et non climatisée. Lit très petit 140cm pour deux, quand il fait trop chaud ca devient vite inconfortable. D'autres chambres plus grande sont disponible dans cet établissement.

Great choice of freshly prepared breakfasts. Simon’s Town has lots of options to eat and drink and is a short walk down the hill from The Boat House. We would definitely recommend staying here and it’s a great base for visiting Boulders Beach and Cape Point. There was nothing we didn’t like.

The publicity photos & views are accurate. Hosts Amanda & Walter were simply superb, making our stay in Simon’s Town and surrounding area one we will return to. Responsive, helpful, knowledgable and delightful. They also make the best breakfasts and run a good team, keeping this property tip top. All doors & windows have security bars locked on to prevent local Baboons from entering. We visited all the places we wanted to very easily. Special area. Wonderful memories. Property is adjacent to a huge construction with 20 builders on site from 7:30am until 5pm. Est completion late ‘27! We should have been notified before or on booking. No Aircons in the bedrooms. They would really help esp with minimising construction noise & dust. Pointless to open the 2 small windows for a cross breeze as building site is 1 meter away, with workers & noise from the cement mixer & red brick dust. Our rental car was parked overnight in guest parking bay subsequently covered in dust and splashes of cement!

Codziennie sprzątanie pokoju. Jedyne miejsce gdzie była normalna kawa w pokoju do zaparzenia, a ja uwielbiam rano pić kawę z takim widokiem i nie musiałam męża ganiać po kawę. :) Najlepszy pobyt Łazienka nie była super czysta, szafki wymagają doczyszczenia (osadzony kurz niezauważony przez personel sprzątający), drzwi również, płytki w kabinie prysznicowej koniecznie trzeba jakim mocnym środkiem wyczyścić bo są zacieki żółte, fugi. To jedyny drobiazg.

• Nadine (10/5): A fantastic stay from start to finish - Carmen, Karen and their team are absolutely wonderful hosts. They are warm, welcoming and genuinely thoughtful. When they noticed from our room that it was my birthday, they chilled a bottle of champagne and surprised me with it when I returned — such a lovely gesture. Breakfast was incredibly delicious, and the view from both the room and the breakfast area is truly beautiful. From here, it’s easy to take great day trips to Cape Point or Boulders Beach.

El personal fue muy amable. Todo muy limpio. Desayuno excelente. Check in autónomo sin problemas. Entorno seguro y una muy buena ubicación para descubrir las atracciones de la zona. Las vistas son una locura. A tener en cuenta: tienes que bajar las maletas por unas escaleras.

Leider pfeift der Wind (welcher in der Region sehr häufig ist) überall sehr laut und rüttelt an Fenster und Türen. Daher war die Nacht leider doch sehr unruhig.

• Sandy (9/5): Sehr empfehlenswert! - Eine wirklich schöne und saubere Unterkunft mit einer tollen Aussicht! Das Frühstück hätte besser nicht sein können. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt hier sehr genossen und wären gerne noch länger geblieben. Die Toilette im Raum war nur durch einen Vorhang abgetrennt und auch nach oben hin offen. Das ist vielleicht nicht für jeden optimal. Ansonsten können wir nur positives über diese Unterkunft sagen.

• kim (9/5): Great base to explore the cape. - We stayed for 2 nights. Excellent stay in a cute and safe town. The hosts were brilliant with lots of good advice on where to eat (lighthouse cafe) in town and advice on travelling in South Africa when we met for breakfasts. The breakfasts were really good with good coffee. There was great privacy, parking on site and you could walk into town for dinner. It was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. Gorgeous views of the ocean. I recommend.

• Sarahwings (10/5): - Amanda and Walter welcomed me in such a warm way that I felt home away from home, from the beginning to the end. They are the soul of this place and I felt held and safe. The rooms are just beautiful and Carlos's omelette and smile in the mornings made the sun rise even brighter. My need was to relax and the spacious terrace and view was just perfect for that. There is a lot to see and do there, pinguins, whale watching on a boat trip...cute towns nearby. Hakunamatuktuk was my easy ride. 8 min walking distance to the harbour where you can find little restaurants and take away. I had a relaxing and wonderful stay. Thank you Amanda and Walter, you are the BEST! Just a small thing, the mold at the ceiling by the pool entrance, but they said it will be taken care of these days.
