Guest Reviews
- Alex (10/5): Fabulous! - We received a really warm welcome. We stayed in the Tudor Room (all 6 rooms are themed); it was very comfortable with plenty of hanging and drawer space. Bottled water and plenty of decent tea & coffee. Lovely bathroom with a decent shower and plenty of hot water. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both were plentiful and delicious. The staff are very welcoming and can't do enough to help.
Even if you aren't visiting this particular part of Yorkshire we would recommend going slightly out of your way and stay at this little gem - you won't be disappointed! Nothing! Wish we'd stayed for another night!
- Frank (10/5): Had a great time thanks to the owners of the Hotel as we were the only two guests staying that time - food was very good, and staff so friendly, we were there to celebrate a family members birthday and so the party was at the same place, all good and had an enjoyable weekend will definitely let others know N/A

The meals were really good, we had a meal in the evening which was lovely and the full English breakfast was plentiful. Having to walk to another building to get to the restaurant especially in the rain was a bit of a pain but apart from that nothing really.

- Howard (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, great venue! - This quirky hotel is in a quiet, secluded, location, ideal for touring East/North Yorkshire. The themed rooms are gorgeous, spotlessly clean and replenished daily. The owners made us feel very welcome and provided us with very hearty breakfasts and an evening meal. The portions are very generous! We enjoyed the grounds and the quirky treasure hunt! Will no doubt return in the future! The hotel does not provide evening meals on a Sunday. It would be helpful if they made available a list of local places that are open as we struggled to find anywhere open! Our only very minor complaint!

- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -

- Maureen (10/5): Excellent service from owners in award winning hotel - Comfortable, quiet
rooms in Edwardian style that felt more like a home than hotel.
Large well equipped bathroom.
Good coffee bags in room, nice toiletries and hairdryer.
Peaceful setting with countryside view.
Interesting meadow walk - strong shoes needed.
Nothing too much trouble for owners - special requests for food for disabled son, and fruity teabags for me to take to room.
Tasty, plentiful meals in conservatory restaurant and option for meals in rooms if required.
The photograph is the view from our bedrooms. Nothing. Can't blame the hotel for the rain - and they did provide umbrellas for the walk across the courtyard to the restaurant.

- Sarah (10/5): Brilliantly unique stay with fantastic hosts. - The rooms were all unique and fantastically decorated. The setting was lovely with walks from the door. The hosts couldn't have been lovelier, helped with any questions we had, provided chocolates in the room, brought drinks to the room, cooked a fantastic meal and breakfast. The beds were super comfy and the shower forceful and hot. Everything we could have wanted after walking part of the Minster Way. Nothing at all. Fabulous experience.
- Cope (9/5): excellent -
- Correna (10/5): - Our stay at Wolds was AMAZING. We arrived late into the evening but Chris greeted us with a smile and ensured that we were satisfied with our room. Very comfy beds and a very large bathroom! However, the main highlights were the property (with walking trails) and the hot breakfast. The property is BEAUTIFUL and well taken care of. The breakfast was super flavorful and there was a large variety to choose from. I was only disappointed that we didn't have the chance to enjoy their evening menu as well, because it also looked amazing! Highly recommend and will stay again if in the area.

Only sorry we didn't get chance to walk the trail there but hopefully we will return later in the year. To be honest there was nothing to complain about and I don't say that very often.
- Mr DAVID (10/5): Great stay - A little bit further out than i like for work but well worth it. Room was excellent.
Was the only one in for evening meal so well looked after.
I did wake in the night thinking i could hear musical voices & tunes but realised it was the coffee table 😉
- Samantha (10/5): Very comfortable and luxurious stopover - Very comfortable, clean and well-equipped. Easy to find and park. Hosts friendly and helpful. - Joanne (10/5): Another fantastic stay - We love visiting here every year for my husbands birthday, we love the rooms especially the red victorian room. We had our meals served in our room. A room as lovely as the one we stay in needs to be full appreciated. So having the option to stay and dine in our room was perfect.
