- Aaron (10/5): - Great base station for park adventure. Would easily stay again.
- Lynne (6/5): - We arrived expecting to wash laundry after our stay in Anchorage. We were told that it was closed due to water issues. We also found out that the facility- and entire area- was shutting down by the weekend. So while we had expected to buy food for daily breakfast, the stores were almost empty of food and we had to buy breakfast out every day. An unexpected expense. At minimum travelers should be notified when reservations are made that everything will be in the process of shutting down.
- Angela (8/5): - I was able to use the shuttle for the hotel across the street to get from and to the park... the staff was very nice... but the office closed at 8 and so in order to check in you had to be there before then. I was a little unsure about the quality of the water, due to the residue left in the "leak container" under the bathroom sink (the only running water in the cabin. It was right behind the "boardwalk" which was a great location :)
- Lori (8/5): - Denali Rainbow is pretty good. Like most places they don't come in and clean everyday. We stayed there 4 nights in the middle of our stay they entered while we were gone and dropped off coffee cups and some towels. We in turn went down and requested additional coffee pods and sweetner. No one emptied the trash, we did it. It was convenient also to be near some shopping and eating, and was heated and fairly quiet.
- Lynne (6/5): - No do not disturb signs available. Housekeeping knocked on our door three different times. Some maintenance issues, flickering light and towel rack was loose. Only three hangers provided.
- Joy Ruth (6/5): - It's across (walking distance from the bus stop) the Denali Princess Lodge, which makes going around Denali via shuttle. There are stores next door so shopping is very convenient. The Lodge isnt pet friendly. You're not allowed to cook fish or anything smelly in the cabins. The hot water runs out so you need to finish your shower in 10mins or less. We loved the ambiance because you can see the mountain. But we weren't able to sleep well because the heater was way up (the cabin became too warm). Overall, it was still a great accommodation. The staff is very friendly and professional. The area is quiet sans being along the highway.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not bad - We stayed in a cabin. It was big, clean and quiet. It had fairly hot water. There was a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The only thing that I was not happy with was the bed. It was very uncomfortable for me.

- Tewee (10/5): - It’s very affordable for the area . Was not so sure from the pics but high rating didn’t disappoint. The hallway give you a dormitory feeling but the room is specious , clean and modern look also equip with coffee maker , fridge and microwave is a big plus . Vey convenient shops and restaurants nearby . Black bear coffee is awesome , by the way . Staffs were so nice and helpful . Complimentary pick up and drop off at the train depot is very helpful. Also , very convenient to hop in any tour or go to the park by utilizing free shuttle across the street at either Holland American or Princess hotel.
- Liangsheng (10/5): - Location was great in relation to Denali and boardwalk shops. Room cleanliness was also great! Downside is that room door is not very soundproof.
- Yan (10/5): - The place is close to Denali park and one of the pickup spots for Tundra Wilderness Tour. There are several eateries and shops on the premises. The motel has all the basics and not more. Don’t book the cabins, as they don’t have free wifi.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The stay was good. The room was fine. It was a little confusing to get to the office. Parking can be a hassle at times, and you are abound the restaurant/boardwalk.
- Lynn (10/5): - Perfect for our group. We had one studio rental with a kitchen and another with 2 queen beds so we could have breakfast together and plan the day. Only complaint is that shower floors were extremely slick with no mat.

- John (8/5): - In the same building as the shopping center. It was just a quick walk to one of the many restaurants and shops. If you plan on cooking you will want to shop for groceries in a larger city like Fairbanks or Anchorage first because the markets are very limited with stock. The staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms have thin walls but otherwise spacious and comfortable. Great views of Denali National Park.

- Jing (10/5): - Absolutely exceeded expectations, more like a luxury Airbnb! We rented a suite and were blown away by how clean and spacious it was. The living room was huge, the full kitchen looked brand new, and the bedrooms had multiple queen beds, perfect for families or groups. The entire place felt more like a luxury Airbnb, surrounded by stunning mountain views. Honestly, calling it a “motel” doesn’t do it justice at all. The name is misleading and undersells the experience. Highly recommend a name change. It deserves better!

The room was clean, but kind of quirky (towel bar was super high, nowhere to set anything in the shower). Beds were alright. Only major complaint would be that the pillows were probably the flattest I’ve ever slept on in my life. And there were only two pillows per bed, so couldn’t just double-up.

It’s located close enough to the park and the area has a limited selection of shopping and dining options. They offer more value than their competition if you are there just to sleep.

- Maryanne (10/5): - From the outside this motel looks old, but our room was beautifully remodeled, good size, great bed and pillows, plenty of hot water. Conveniently located near restaurants and gift shops. Right on main road, but super quiet. Only a mile from national park entrance. We’d stay here again. Town had a power outage for five hours due to nearby forest fires. Management started several generators, so still hot water & flushing toilets. Very pleased with emergency response.

- UTPAL (6/5): - This Motel (RV park is just behind of this Motel) is in prime location (close to Denali NP), and on the first floor of the commercial area. Food smell was coming from downstairs restaurants. The area is not so good. Room didn't have table or chair to keep our stuffs. Bed linens were not good, smelled badly, bathroom drain line was clogged.

- Arghya (10/5): - Excellent experience overall. The shuttle service from the train station was very helpful. The rooms were clean and had all the amenities including a kitchen. Its right next to the boardwalk so very conveniently located next to gift shops, restaurants and other activities in the area. The free shuttle to the Denali park is across the street from the rainbow village

- Keith (6/5): - cancellation rules need to be better detailed. I booked 2 nights. Because of a change of our job we had to cut our trip shorter. So I had to cancel one night. I gave over 2 months notice but was still charged 30% of one night. I made a comment that they could rent the night to someone else and was told that they could not do that??? This seemed unfair.

Also when asked if there was any shuttle service to post office the clerk said no they didnt have any. They never bothered to tell us about the park shuttle that was available with reservations. Same when asked about shipping supplies or services. The clerk said no there wasnt any. Did not mention the store directly in front of them had shipping supplies and services But the room was beautiful and it was a pleasure to stay in it
- meikang (8/5): - Property was remodeled and spacious, kitchen is well equipped. price $300 is a little high for a motel room. Location is very good, right by the boardwalk shops.
- Gregory (6/5): - Was in Denali for four nights, though only could book the Princess Lodge for three. There are around seven hotels/motels close to the Denali entrance, Rainbow Village one of them, so it gets points for its proximity to the park. Stayed one night, walking my bags across the highway. Night and day from the beautiful and comfy Denali Princess. I get that for budget reasons (though it is still pricey) and availability (hard to get rooms elsewhere) some will choose Rainbow Village. To be fair the room was larger than the Princess, though lacking any charm or character. Still, it was clean, including the bathroom. Staff was friendly such as the super personable driver to the bus station, Kevin, who handles many chores. Another plus is several places to eat are within walking distance, yet could also walk to the Princess Lodge (and others) with their many restaurants. The whole building, including the hallways, the tiny office, etc. simply look very second rate. Was also noisy in the evening and morning as one family chose to allow other guests to also experience the joy of their loud child running the hall, the family keeping its door open. (Some are simply clueless.) Thankfully, at least at night that didn’t last too long. Overall Rainbow Village is certainly OK. But if able to splurge a bit more, especially traveling a great distance to Denali, for a more relaxing and upscale experience should try and book one of the others nearby, if available.
- Luisa (8/5): - Plain but comfortable and convenient. Could do with some renovating but the room was large and close to main boardwalk. Kevin the friendly driver was fantastic. He did the free pickup and drop off from train depot and provided helpful local advice. Kevin also went above and beyond in assisting another client who had a minor disability.

- Robert (8/5): Basic but good. Great location - Basic, but much better than expected. Excellent location. Rainbow RV’s shuttle driver was the most helpful and friendly person at the complex. A real asset to the establishment.

The motel is conveniently located near restaurants and the places to sign up for adventurous (Zipline g, ATV rides, flights around Denali, rafting, etc). And right down the street from the park entrance. The room was clean and a nice value for the price, but we could hear neighbors on either side of us.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Kevin the van driver was super friendly and helpful! The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only problem was they made us move rooms agter one night (they did email me that information right after we booked, so at least it wasn't a surprise).

- jess (10/5): denali rainbow lodge - its a nice place to stay in denali. good price and a plus having a full kitchen in the room as well. only thing that could be better is having better pillows for the beds.
- Shannan (6/5): - The location is so convenient. We were able to walk across the street and get on the Princess bus which would take us into Denali for free. It was easy to walk to good restaurants. So the location was perfect. However the staff was not always helpful (except Kevin who picked us up at the train depot - he was the best!). Anyway the bathroom was sort of clean and the rooms were very basic. It was ok for a couple of nights. The beds were not comfortable and the 2 pillows were the smallest flattest pillows we have ever seen.
- D (10/5): - The manager made special arrangements for us to be picked up after normal hours from a Denali tour and took us to the hotel for a late check-in. The driver was friendly, courteous, and very accommodating to our itinerary.
- William (8/5): - The exterior of the lodge and office looks awful; the room is plain, with exposed unpainted pipes, but the bath was new and fine (except for a noisy fan), the bedspread and pillowcases delightful for the location, and the bear lamp wonderful. The best thing about our stay was the wonderful, helpful staff. We requested a 1st floor room due to our age (late 80s) and got one with accessible ramp & shower. We requested a shuttle and had the most wonderful driver, helper, and all-around good man in Kevin!

- Shannan (6/5): - This is a basic hotel. It served the purpose to get us near Denali NP. The Princess bus picks up passengers across the street from Rainbow Lodge to take people into the park. This is the only reason to stay at this motel. Kevin picked us up from the train depot to take us to the Rainbow Motel. He was very helpful and curtious.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Basic but Ok - If all you need is a basic place to stay during your time here, this place will work. Pros: -Location. It is very closer to the entrance to Denali National Park and it's easy to get to the shops and couple of restaurants. -Bathroom. Seems to have been recently remodeled and was decent. Could have used a shelf of some sort in the shower. Cons: -Location. This is right off the main road, which means it can be noisy with the traffic going by. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. -Almost zero drawer space for clothes etc. There were maybe 5 hangers in our room and a tiny set of 2 drawers-not nearly enough space for 4 people. -Noisy hallways. The walls are paper thin and we could hear everyone in the hallways, including the cleaning staff who were quite loud. For the price, this place was ok, but nothing special.
- Ryan (10/5): The ONLY place to stay in Denali - Amazing place to stay in Denali. After viewing the lay of the town, THIS is the place you want to stay. Don’t let other reviews fool you, this place was perfect. It’s exactly where you want to me, directly across from where you catch the bus into the national park, back to the bus depot or the train. For how much time you will spend in the park, the convenience factor alone makes this place worth it. Plus it’s the only place in town close to all the restaurants and shops. So unless you have a car, this is definitely the place you want to stay because it’s the only place where you can walk to everything. The building rooms were huge. Had a full kitchen, dining table, fridge, microwave and it looked weird at first, with a water heater in the bathroom, but guess what, your own personal supply of hot water for the showers with zero delay. Kevin who works there is amazing. He greeted us at the train station and helped up with our luggage. They provide a van to pick us up. He checked us in and throughout the week was always there to help. He even drove us to the two National Park entrance signs so we could get our pictures since the busses don’t stop there. Kevin was great! All in all, highly recommend staying here.
- sharon (8/5): - Much nicer inside than outside. The Princess lodge is right across the road, with good dining options and free shuttle (for non guests also) to Denali park.
