- Vince (8/5): Convenient overnight stay in a quiet location but handy to facililites. - The Lodge provided a quiet, bush location, conveniently not far from the M1 Motorway. Also, only a few kilometers from dining and shopping options. Would consider for a retreat style stay.
- Venus (9/5): Peaceful forest lodge close to the beach with ample open grass areas to plays. - Very well maintained. Peacefully surrounded by native bushlands with two open grass areas for the kids to play. Very clean bbq area adjacent to a decent sized pool. And no flies! A few too many rules but I suppose that’s how the place is kept nice.
- Milan (8/5): Very good - The facilities were exceptionally well-maintained, reflecting a high standard of care and attention to detail. The location was bit off road. The location was strategically and beautifully situated, offering a serene environment - one of the rare places where you can truly disconnect, as internet connectivity was minimal or non-existent. This intentional digital detox adds to the charm and uniqueness of the experience. The overarching theme and stay concept was thoughtfully created with an immersive atmosphere, close to nature. The stay also had inclusion of a recreation and media room, which provided a perfect balance between relaxation and entertainment. Internet accessibility should be improved.
- Grace (10/5): A very peaceful spot - Very clear and thorough instructions for finding and entry to the property. The cabin was very well equipped with clear labelling. The info booklet was great and very helpful. The staff was friendly and made sure that we knew they would help with anything we needed. It was sad that the hot tub was out of commission but that was beyond the properties control. Also the bugs were INTENSE! but the property had plenty of bug spray on offer.
- Catherine (7/5): Lovely place, not overcrowded and quite clean and comfortable. Awesome pool! - We loved the facilities that were on offer and the cabins and whole place, was very clean. It was a tranquil place where we could relax most of the time. We received a nice warm welcome which makes a big difference. Felt like were cleaned up after constantly. We would use the games room at lunch and leave the windows open and the games table uncovered as we wanted to come back later, only to come back and find everything put away and windows closed up an hour later and it was only just after lunch. Felt micro-managed. The room was like an oven when it was all closed up on a hot day which made it feel uncomfortable to hang out in. The room should just be cleaned up at the end of the day, not every time someone uses it!

- Julian (10/5): Highly recommended. - The accommodation was immaculately clean and tidy and the grounds were very well landscaped. You often come across some places that have facilities like a rec room or games area but the equipment is often just an afterthought. Not here. Everything was well thought out and maintained with the guest experience in mind. Highly recommended. Mobile reception wasn't great but no big deal.

We were only there for one night but would definitely return for a longer stay. Perfect for families with plenty of beds, a swimming pool and recreation room. Staff member was friendly. N/a

- Rt2000 (10/5): Amazing. - The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable with amazing attention to detail and provision not only of essentials but anything that might enhance your stay. For example- mosquito coils; wood fired pizza oven and extensive barbecue area; outdoor games for kids-cricket, badminton, basketball etc; rec facilities including home cinema, pool table; table tennis table; great coffee. I could go on further. The venue made us all feel like a home away from home and we will surely be back. Thanks Leanne and Chad for a truly hospitable and wonderfully relaxed time. Mosquitos seemed to resist Bushman’s!!

- John (8/5): Lovely accommodation in quite location. Slept well and awoke refreshed to continue our journey. - Accommodation in stand alone 2 bedroom cabins which were immaculately clean and tidy. We had 2 cabins. Property was very well maintained. Onsite recreation room, pool and communal barbecue/eating area all lovely. Quiet, leafy setting but only 5 minutes drive from Old Bar shopping area and beach. Beds very comfy. Shower unit in our cabin was small but incorporated a small bath at base for a child. Our other cabin provided access for disabled and had a larger walk-in shower. We had a very nice dinner at the local club. We stayed 1 night only to break our trip back to Sydney from the Gold Coast. It was summer (Xmas holidays) and unfortunately mosquitos were prevalent at this location. The manager warned us of this on our arrival and provided personal insect repellent in the rooms. This may not be an issue for some but was a little dampener for us. May not be a problem if visiting in cooler months.
- Paul (10/5): So beautiful accomodation!! - A beautiful cabin which is recently renovated and is very comfortable. So quiet and you will be waken by all kind of birdsong. As a bonus, there is a nice swimming pool. Close to Old Bar which is a nice little town.
- Jade (10/5): 10 outta 10 - Only a short drive into town and beach. Beautiful property, perfect for families/kids to explore. Cottages really comfy and very clean, everything you need is provided. Salt pool, heated spa, games room and awesome outdoor kitchen/BBQ area with everything you could possibly need available to use. All the little details for your comfort and convenience has been thought of. Hosts are lovely people. Nothing we didn't like. Phone reception is not great out there in that area depending on your phone carrier.

- Catherine (10/5): A beautiful, comfortable and superbly managed Lodge! - The manager was fantastic - friendly and welcoming. Accommodation was pristine. Facilities were amazing. Outdoor kitchen was a real surprise - could not believe how well stocked and clean it was!. The grounds were extensive with lots of games for the kids. I liked everything!

- Hazel (10/5): Exceptional - Chiltern Lodge was lovely, the facilities were great, the cottage was well equipped, and the fireplace made the place lovely and cosy. The staff were awesome, even offering to help unhitch our trailer in the dark with us. There was nothing to dislike.
- Helen (10/5): A beautiful and tranquil place, perfect for a retreat and recharge - We absolutely loved our stay. The villas and outdoor areas were well appointed immaculately kept and presented. The entertaining area/games room was amazing with every detail thought of and covered. The kids enjoyed the games/activities on offer, animals and spa. We all enjoyed the open fireplace and the overall tranquil serenity. Definitely a great place to retreat and recharge. Nothing was an issue and the owners couldn’t have been more accommodating - even when we decided to stay an extra night. The thought, love and care the owners have put into the retreat shows.

I expected a little room as a pit stop on our drive, but this was a little retreat, complete with balcony…I only wish we had more time to stay and visit the animals, sit by the fire and use all of facilities. I was very happy with Chiltern.

Really enjoyed the pool after a hot day and the spa pool later in the evening. The BBQ area is amazing and spotlessly clean. Will stay again whenever I am in this area. Having to leave after only one night

It was super quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Loved the pool & spa, has a really nice undercover outdoor BBQ area and recreation room, awesome place to stay for a relaxing getaway. Cute farm animals, tracks to explore, short drive into the town Old Bar for restaurants and supermarket. Will definitely return, highly recommend. There was nothing that we didn't like, all our needs were met.

The rooms itself are beautiful. it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere in a rainforest retreat! Absolutely loved out stay and the owners are lovely lovely people. - Deeceezz (10/5): A lovely quiet place in the trees - Such a lovely spot in the trees, well away from the road and traffic. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The pool was large and gorgeous and the spa was an added bonus that was lovely in the evening. We didn't use the kitchen but it seemed well appointed with a large fridge. The double bed was very comfortable and I had a great nights sleep in the quiet of the bush. Having to leave early the next day! Next time I'll stay for longer.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - This place is absolutely amazing. Seems like we were the only people there and we wished we had stayed longer. We were there with our 10 month old and there was so much space to play on. They have a pool a t.v. room and an absolutely amazing outdoor area. I would imagine this place would be packed in summer time. The cabin was spotless with everything you need. Our baby has his own room we brought our portacot. It honestly is the best cabin we've stayed at so far. Will definitely be back.
