- Myrna (8/5): - It was a beautiful location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean but could hear everything the people up above us were doing. I would recommend being on the top floor.
- Richard (1/5): Definitely beyond disappointing stay, will never stay there again, not - There was really nothing we liked. Arrived within 15 minutes of our stated arrival and were not told in advance that there was no restaurant, consequently we had to go searching for food and most of the area food establishments were closed. The best part of the stay was Jesse at the front desk was very, very good The room was advertised as lake view. We were on the bottom floor and could only see the lake through a slight opening between buildings. The door had light coming through it during the night and the window coverings were definitely not room darkening and light shone through as soon as daylight started. The air conditioner was so loud we had to decide whether to have it on or off throughout the night. We went back and forth, consequently had VERY LITTLE sleep. Couldn't sit on our deck because there were 2 bags of dog poop sitting on the deck from the previous occupants.

- Michelle (10/5): Pleasant setting in Balfour - Pleasant stay between Nelson and Kaslo. The hotel offers lake views on the opposite side of the lake but elevated for viewing. Nice balcony areas. Hotel is more rustic and quiet but clean rooms, free continental breakfast. More of a lodge than a resort. Golf course associated with it that has a small but tasty restaurant with more elevated options than expected.

When we arrived the power was still out but we had backup fobs to get into the room. It was clean and well laid out. Power came back on and all was great. Beautiful property. I would say Jesse went above regular customer service to make sure we were okay and happy.

The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully presented by the excellent housekeeping team. Special shout-outs to Jesse and Anouk for their incredible hospitality – they truly made our visit special. We loved having access to the BBQ and jacuzzi for ultimate relaxation. It was a peaceful and amazing getaway!

- Lynette (9/5): Beautiful place to stay - We loved staying here - it has a beautiful view of the lake and the room was lovely, very clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff were nice too. Our only complaint is the breakfast is served on very flimsy paper plates and paper cups which we're finding seems to happen regularly in Canada. This is new to us as we're from New Zealand and we never do this there. It astounds us as it's all going into landfill. Surely it's not that hard to wash a few nice breakfast plates and cups and save the environment from more landfill? This is more an observation though, rather than a complaint. The hotel is lovely.

- WanderlustDave101 (10/5): Large Balcony with a Great View - On a long weekend getaway to Nelson, we decided to stay at the Kootenay Lakeview Resort. It was a great location with easy drives to both Nelson and Ainsworth Hot Springs. The rooms were clean and very spacious, and the balcony was huge with a great view of the lake. The breakfast was okay, but nothing overly special. The staff was very helpful and I would definitely stay there again if I'm in the area.

There are limited dining options with 15 minutes of this hotel and everything including the minimarket closes at 8 pm.
- Tunde (9/5): Peaceful, relaxing, remote - Beautiful location and view. Staff was very friendly answered all our questions and made sure we had a great visit. The lodge is such a wonderful addition where my kids (8,11) loved playing chess and the breakfast was an extra surprise. Just waffles toast and muffins cereal and tea and juice but it was enough to fuel us until lunch. The room was a little tight and bathroom was even tighter but we didn’t spend much time inside and the outdoor space and lodge makes up for it. We wish we would’ve had more time to stay there and I am sure we will be back in the future
