• sarahrD3730IR (4/5): Not a luxury hotel - Don’t make the mistake in thinking this hotel is a ‘Luxury’ 5*. We visited as a group of 6 adults & 3 babies last summer. Whilst we had a brilliant holiday together, we had to set aside our expectations of a 5* holiday. You can hear music booming from the neighbouring hotel until midnight most nights & 1.30 am on a weekend. Rooms are dated. The main restaurant puts the air con on/off every 30minutes. Which makes it absolutely UNBEARABLE. Luckily we were later informed of an alternative restaurant next door that has constant air con on, but has limited food selection. You don’t get table service for drinks at dinner, not even offered a tea/ coffee on a morning. Some staff are very rude and unhelpful & Customer service barely speak English. The facilities, food and cleanliness are all fantastic!
• markpT3351OO (4/5): A mixed bag. - We stayed at the Starlight from 16th October to 23rd October, we being a middle aged couple. Upon arriving at Reception very early in the morning we were given the chance to visit the 24/7 ‘Bistro’ at the very bottom of the hotel (in the entertainment ‘Cave’ of which more later) for some very welcome food after a long trip, we also had the 24/7 lobby bar identified for us whilst check in was processed. We booked a deluxe double with sea-view and we got exactly that, a very large room (which also had a single bed as well as the double), walk-in wardrobe and large bathroom. The views from the balcony were stunning. Yes, in some areas a refresh of the decor and fittings would improve things, however the room was perfectly appointed for us and the housekeeping function could not be faulted. The site itself is enormous, so big it has a road-train running every half an hour around the complex, beginning at Fountain Square. The resort is very impressive in scale and amenities, in fact even at the end of the week we were still finding new places (the Patisserie is a hidden gem)! It should be noted that each of the days we stayed saw a closing of some of the facilities e.g. on our first day there was entertainment in the Sunrise amphitheatre (dancers) and a full bar service nearby, by the end of the stay the Sunrise was all but closed and with it their bar and restaurant choice. We thought that this was a great shame for a dance troupe on a subsequent evening as they had to perform on a smaller stage with restricted viewing for the audience as they were relocated to the ‘Cave’ in the Starlight. The hotel was still busy from what we could tell, firstly with a large international football tournament and then with more family groups later in the week. We had no problem finding sunbeds and although we used the Adults Only pool one day (the 16+ rule was being actively enforced) we found the Elephant pool to be very peaceful all week. The water temperature of all of the pools was cold but not unbearably so and the sea a few degrees warmer. There is always an indoor pool to use. The site, like the room, will need some further constant upkeep and some modernisation to keep pace with customer expectation of a 5 star resort. In terms of entertainment, there was a full animation programme each day and our encounters with the staff showed them to be friendly and professional. The morning Aquafit in the main pool was fun and the early morning paddleboarding was also a nice experience (suitable only for strong/confident swimmers as most of this takes place in deep water). Music choice is subjective but we enjoyed most of the nightly bands which played many internationally recognised tunes, some benefitted more than others from a sound-check but the ‘Cave’ is an excellent venue with a large seating area, bar facilities, aforementioned Bistro, a nightclub (!), shops and a gaming centre. Not that it bothers us at all but others have commented on the lack of UK visitors and we found that to be true, most visitors seemed to come from Eastern Europe and beyond and we can see the points made by some families regarding groups of males and feelings of insecurity. That said the international vibe around the football tournaments added to our enjoyment when we went along to some of the matches. The language barrier with staff was certainly not insurmountable and I ask ‘Is my Turkish as good as their English? Probably not’ so no room to complain certainly, as we got by just fine. The amount of areas in which smoking is permitted, including in the ‘Cave’, may surprise British guests. Finally, on to food and drink. We might agree with some comments that the food in the main restaurants is a little repetitive and quality was just above average, we saw no ‘theme’ evenings as we have experienced in other hotels. For the first couple of evenings we chose the Luna restaurant as it had many of the dishes from the main restaurant but was a little quieter. However as the hotel got busier with family groups, the food service systems fell apart. It was clear that the waiting staff struggled to cope to re-lay the tables in a timely fashion as well as cope with clearing down and taking drinks orders. We regularly had to hunt for our own cutlery. In the Luna restaurant one evening we found it to have stopped serving many of the main dishes by 8.20 pm when advertised hours were until 9.00 pm. We found this to be the same in the main restaurant on the day that we left as we had an early transfer and came down to breakfast at the 7.00 am advertised start time to find the restaurant still being set up and virtually nothing ready, even the orange juice machines were empty. In a hotel of this star-rating, this is unforgivable and the hotel management urgently need to address these failings. In the later days of our holiday we resorted to eating at the outside snack bar and then using the 24/7 later rather than enter the maelstrom of the main rooms. We also booked a table at one of the ‘a la carte’ offerings although the choice had been cut to 2 as the others had closed, a Mexican (which was full when we wanted it) and an Indian, which was passable in terms of quality but marred by the volume of a football game being shown in the ‘Cave’, we were fortunate to be indoors which was still noisy but the din must have been unbearable for the diners outside on the mezzanine directly above the entertainment area. Finally, the drinks service: on the upside many branded products were used and the Adults Only bar and veranda were very elegant places to spend time, with some interesting cocktails available. The general bar service was OK but the queues show that either a) more staff are needed or b) the system of service needs to change, as many times the bar staff were dealing with complex time-consuming cocktail orders when all some people were queuing for were soft drinks and beer. Either self service of beer/soft drinks could be an option or a dedicated cocktail bar function to cut the general queue. That beer is served in tiny measures in most cases does not help. The situation in the main restaurants is even more chaotic with waiters, as well as their general jobs, expected to dispense wine, whilst only selected other drinks seem to be dispensed from bars to customers direct. The chances of getting a drink at an appropriate time over dinner were slim and a real let-down. Overall, we enjoyed most of what this hotel had to offer but we have experienced far better at the same level of accreditation in Turkey, so cannot really recommend highly.
• jojey (10/5): Great hotel, enjoyed by three generations - We stayed as a multigenerational family of 7 Hotel: Large imposing and grand building with a beautiful lobby and stunning and well maintained botanical gardens. We had several room types: single, double deluxe and family duplex. All were well laid out and sufficient. Mini bars were replenished and rooms well thought out. As a couple with older children this is by far the best room option that we’ve had for a holiday stay. Very occasional issue with towels/cleaning but remedied quickly on request. Rooms slightly dated but again not a concern. Food: Food was plentiful and very enjoyable with varied options. If you want a full English type breakfast you won’t find it here but you will find tasty alternatives. Lunch and dinner options were great but closure of the food stalls and sunrise restaurant was disappointing and narrowed options of location to eat. The hotel I believe was winding down for seasonal closure. We paid 20 euro pp supplement for the seafood restaurant which wasn’t in my opinion worth the money with one of the courses unavailable with no alternative. The coffee stations were a great addition with a real barista experience on hand. Staff: staff were generally friendly and accommodating, always willing to help. English is less widely spoken and it took a little More creativity to explain ourselves to staff. As mentioned in other posts regarding preferential treatment depending on nationality, I didn’t spot this directly but I did note that guests from some other cultures were more assertive, not queuing and some almost appearing abrupt. Coming from the UK this was quite alien but was neither the fault of the hotel or other guests. One thing I was less comfortable with was the large volume of male groups. This is a huge hotel hosting conferences and football tournaments. I felt less comfortable allowing my teenage daughter to wander freely with large groups of men drinking and congregating between their activities. the location was little remote but not unlike many other large resorts, I would have preferred something more than the usual fake brand/souvenir type shops nearby. Facilities were great with plenty of room to wander the grounds, ample places to sit and plenty of room poolside. The beach was well maintained with sun beds available. The shingle on the beach is tough on your feet but the sea warm in October We didn’t tend to opt into the entertainment but there as a well advertised programme available. This is a great hotel with fabulous facilities and grounds. Minor issues occurred but nothing that spoiled the experience. We would certainly return here
• razvanverone (10/5): Honest review - We decided last minute to return to Starlight Resort Manavgat, right after our stay at Titanic Mardan Palace. Even though the hotel was almost full, Mrs. Fatma Kan Karabey — who has helped us on previous visits with our parents— found us a beautiful room again. Her kindness and professionalism have been consistent every single time, and she truly makes the difference. We travel a lot, and while Starlight isn’t ultra-luxury, it’s a very good resort once you set your expectations right. What we like • The grounds – huge, green, beautifully maintained; a real paradise for nature lovers. • Rooms – spacious, elegant, with sea views that are still among the best in Antalya. Large balcony, separate dressing area, roomy bathroom, and nice upgrades like big Samsung Smart TVs. • Secret Garden – quiet and private, with discreet bungalows, lots of greenery, a calm pool, and premium touches (butler, minibar, fresh fruit). It costs extra, but it’s 100% worth it if you value peace and privacy. The 7 cabanas right next to the beach are the best part. • Spa – stylish, fairly priced. We did the hammam peeling and a massage — both great. • Private dining terrace – available with certain packages, offering more privacy. • Staff – some of them are truly hands-on. Aside from Mrs. Fatma Kan Karabey, Mr. Adil Atay, the Operations Manager, was there when issues came up and handled them right away. He stood out as a professional always around, helping guests and staff alike. You could see him every day, present and genuinely involved. Things to keep in mind • Service – large-scale; restaurants get busy, typical for this kind of resort. • Food – wide variety, but taste is subjective. “Fish night” was popular, though less so for my wife, who doesn’t eat fish, for example. •Cannot give feedback on alcohol, since we don't drink any. • Guests – mostly Russian clientele. We’re obviously not, but still had no issues communicating in English with a bit of patience and simple phrasing. Bottom line We’d gladly return — mainly knowing that Mrs. Kan Karabey and Mr. Adil Atay are still there. The sea-view rooms, the Secret Garden cabana, the spa and the property's natural beauty are worth it. Also, the fact that it’s just a 1.5-hour flight from home.
• 420alland (4/5): Not a very Starry experience - Have to say out off over 30 years of travelling abroad this is the worst holiday I have experienced. The golf range advertised does not exist. The garden rooms are of 3 star standard and that's being polite . The restaurant experience was diabolical. Omelette still raw in middle . Tables dirty people seen touching the food and putting it back. Hotel caters for mainly Russian guests .We were made to wait at the bar despite being there first . Holiday was booked with Tui and due to being so bad I would never book with them again as disregarded our concerns. Paid £1100 per person for 10 nights all inclusive which i feel was a waste of money. I fell in the bath as no anti slip measures despite hotel claiming there was . Poor customer service. False advertising of facilities available.
• emmamR7106CQ (8/5): Extremely upset by the neglected horses otherwise a lovely place set in beautiful surroundings. - This is our second time in Turkey , last years hotel had a lot to live up to . The hotel and garden rooms are good the grounds are amazing, set in beautiful gardens with an abundance of trees and flowers plus tortoises , hedgehogs, peacocks and bats flying about to . The areas are beautifully clean with no rubbish . Lots of pools to choose from that are very clean with a beautiful beach to choose from too . The animation team work hard to offer things to do . We found their love for hardcore house music a bit too much especially when laying around the pools . We would have preferred different music and would have been happier if they varied the music at the events it seemed just for those that liked just that style of music , which we didn’t so we felt singled out , we did ask them to play something different but it was only a couple of songs . We found the food hit and miss especially in the starlight restaurant so we mainly went to sunrise which was hotter and more variety and less chaotic. Certain nationalities were very rude and pushy in the main restaurant so we chose to go to the other one and avoid the stress English visitors are a minority here so if this bothers you don’t come here . I was disappointed at the swim up pool bars as they had very little choice of alcohol and this was also an issue at the starlight restaurant so I had to go to other bars which was much further to walk and preferred to eat in sunrise as a well equipped bar right next to restaurants was perfect and toilets next to the restaurant too . The patisserie was pointless and not in a nice location , we had a situation where my husband felt unwell so slept in the room which was locked and a do not disturb sign on the door , he had the balcony door open , we were on the ground floor and a male cleaner jumped over the balcony and into the room 😱 made my husband jump he then went back out if this was myself or my three daughters in another ground floor room it would of terrified them . I reported this but was shocked that they thought it ok to do . One small thing was that there was insufficient signs for anything so you spent a while looking for things that should have been signposted better. The garden rooms were tricky as each path looked the same after 10 days I still got lost going to my room if they could coordinated the blocks it would be soo much easier to find them . UNFORTUNATELY 🐎 🐎🐴🐴😭😭😡😡 I would not return due to checking on the horses that the hotel advertise for horse riding and they were extremely thin and covered in sores . I complained to my tour operator and the hotel . The hotel have denied being involved with them stating it’s an outside company , even though they Advertise all over the hotel and it’s on all the signposts and as we checked in we were told about it .. It was extremely upsetting to see how bad they were being treated . If you are there now or due to go please raise your concerns through your tour operators , if holiday makers don’t speak up animals will continue being ill treated and nothing will change for these poor animals in the future . To provide them with sufficient food water and shade is a basic requirement plus saddles that fit them correctly so as not to cause painful sores . You can easily walk and see them as they are just behind the water park . I have reported it to animal welfare agents but if more people speak up something may be done . I was disappointed in the way the hotel shunned any responsibility and don’t seem interested that they promote this level of cruelty and think it’s ok to send guests to ride horses that are soo badly neglected 😩

• constantinf68 (4/5): Maxim 3 stars hotel - Unfortunately it is a hotel that presents itself on the website as 5 stars but is a maximum of 3 stars. When you offer customers Ultra all inclusive and receive money for ultra all inclusive you have to offer it! It is not fair to ask for extra money for certain restaurants that you present as included in the ultra all inclusive price, and the same with the bungalows, 15 -20 € per person per day!!! I will definitely not come back!!!

The food was repetitive almost every day, and sometimes meals from the previous day were served. Most of the guests were Russian-speaking; there were very few Lithuanians. The staff mainly spoke Russian, and only a few employees spoke English. The cocktails were very disappointing – essentially just sparkling mineral water with mint. Of course, we did not come here just for cocktails, but having paid for all-inclusive services, we expected at least a minimal level of quality. The biggest negative impression came from the behavior of the lifeguard at the pool. One day there were two lifeguards – one allowed a 12-year-old girl to swim with her parents, but when the other asked my daughter’s age (she is 14 and was always with me), we were told she was too young and were asked to leave. Although later the situation seemed resolved, the next day we were again asked to leave. At the same time, another girl clearly under 16 was swimming with her mother, but the lifeguard did not intervene. When I tried to explain, there was a communication barrier, as the lifeguard did not speak English. At another pool, an incident occurred – a child had a serious accident. The lifeguard’s response was questionable. After the staff removed the issue from the pool, there was no proper disinfection, and people continued swimming. Unfortunately, this was not the first such case. There was a constant lack of sunbeds. By around 10 a.m., they were already “reserved” with towels, even though the actual people often never appeared throughout the day. On the positive side, the territory is large, and there are enough water slides. However, the overall impression corresponds to a 3–3.5 star hotel at best. We wish other travelers a pleasant stay. P.S. We stayed at the hotel from August 15th to 22nd.

• jeffbF9904NL (6/5): Honest appraisal - 5*hotel, 3* service - We have spent the past 10 days here having had our hotel changed at the last minute because the previous hotel wasn't finished and fully operational so we didn't really have much time to consider this place fully. That said, the facilities are 5*..Set in a beautiful location, on the beach. Food is generally good, plenty of space at the pools (adult pool was only full one day and we went to one of the many family pools). If you head down at 9am you can generally secure a pair of sunbeds and parasol. BUT.... I wouldn't give the service anymore than 3*... This hotel is very geared towards Russians and Eastern Europeans. We heard three other English voices the whole time we were here. Very few staff speak English. Just ordering two cokes was a challenge. Gave up ordering sparkling water. Staff would talk to you first in Russian, then when faced with a blank response, spoke German. When you told them you were English, they walked off. When ordering, the staff paid no attention to who arrived at the bar first and it became the case of who shouted loudest first. It was all very aggressive and impolite. Now, whilst talking staff there is a very distinctive pecking order. White shirt are your genuine bar and waiting staff. One serves, whilst the others with trays stand around chatting. The queue could be 10 deep. You then have those in blue shirts who are obviously supervisors/managers. They also watch on, and, even when you point out there's a queue or that your table needs clearing down for lunch, they walk away. It's like a blue shirt is passage to stand around and look busy, whilst checking Facebook or smoking. Russians seem to feel entitled. They don't queue, push in at every opportunity, are rude by nature and if you hold a door open or similar, it's ignored. We laughed at it after a couple of days. I'm sure it's just cultural differences. This isn't a bad hotel. It just lacks an awareness of where it's clients are coming from. The fact that our tour operator, Tui, doesn't even have any reps on site. You have to call them, says a lot. I wouldn't not come, just be aware that you may have to be tolerant and will be sleft frustrated at times.
• nickwH3663QQ (8/5): Holiday - We stayed at the Starlight Resort Hotel in Manavgat, Turkey, and overall had a pleasant experience. All the staff members were extremely kind and friendly, always ready to help with a smile. The hotel itself is very nice, and the food was consistently good with plenty of variety. However, the club was a big disappointment — poor promotion, no atmosphere, and unfortunately no Russian music at all, which made it feel uninviting. Another point that could be improved is that imported alcohol should also be available at the beach, not just in selected areas. Special thanks to Oskar, a great animator who made our days more enjoyable with his energy and friendliness. Also, Mahmut, the manager, was excellent — he took care of all our requests promptly and gave us very good recommendations during our stay. With a few improvements, especially regarding the club and beach service, this hotel could easily be perfect.

• klaudiamB7277VX (4/5): Disappointed - Many people have been commenting on racism at the hotel and improved service for Russians. The hotel responded to these comments by saying "improvements will be made in this regard." Unfortunately, these are just promises, and nothing has changed. The staff remains focused on Russian customers. They treat polish people with contempt, ignore them, and serve them last with a sour face as if it were a punishment. No smiles, no jokes, and they won't even acknowledge a tip. They refuse to help or answer questions, and most don't even understand English. The bartenders don't understand and sigh when you ask for something, and the waiters do the same. To get juice in the 24/7 a la carte restaurant, we had to ask and remind ourselves seven times because Russians are more important. We were even asked to leave the restaurant for wearing wet clothes (we were sitting outside), but when Russians came in wet from the pool, it wasn't a problem. The only English-speaking staff at the front desk and the service desk (in the middle of the hotel) were the only ones who could communicate in English, although one of the service staff is incredibly nasty, narcissistic, and doesn't like Poles either. In short, nothing has changed – racism has existed, exists, and will continue to exist. You promised improvement, but it was empty words. A huge drawback is that the staff doesn't keep track of the reserved sunbeds. In the morning, all the sunbeds should be free, and towels from the previous day should be thrown away. This hasn't changed, just promises. It's absurd that the resort is so large and there aren't any sunbeds. Either buy a second row of sunbeds or properly supervise them. It's obvious that towels have been on those sunbeds for three hours, and the owner hasn't shown up.
• Sunshine07908114125 (8/5): Good - First and foremost, the hotel has a wonderful service representative, Muhammet Dalkiranli. He helped us with many things that made our stay unforgettable. Thanks to him, we were able to buy flowers and balloons, create a slide show, and enjoy beautiful music on the grand stage. He organized a grand engagement show in the amphitheater and my sister's 18th birthday party. He took care of every detail and was the only person willing to help, and only thanks to him did it happen. Without him, the engagement and my sister's 18th birthday wouldn't have happened. We are grateful to him, and thanks to him, we will have very positive memories of the hotel. The hotel's appearance was beautiful: waterfalls, numerous pools, beautiful streets, and plenty of greenery. The beach next to the hotel is also a plus. The food was very good and there was a wide selection. It was amazing

• Tourist28487227535 (8/5): Personally I think it’s not a 5 star hotel - my honest opinion. - We are currently staying here for a week. The hotel and gardens are fantastic, the decor is amazing - it took our breath away when we first walked in. However there are a lot of areas which are kept in the dark and are not in use. Unless you explore a bit you would not find certain spots ie the patisserie (it’s tucked away without much signage). The pools are all great sizes and a good amount of sun-beds, we don’t have difficulty finding some, however I wouldn’t like to try to get one when it’s high seasons as I witnessed quite a high amount of sun-beds being reserved by people with their towels from 08.00 but not arriving to use them until past 13.00. This should not be allowed. The room we stayed in was a supreme club double room which is good, the size is great and the bathroom spacious. The balcony is quite small even for 2 people (could be a bit bigger). The beds are a good size but are very hard (apparently you can request a mattress topper but I didn’t find that out until the end of our stay). The mini fridge is topped up daily with a good variety of drinks and the maids come in and change your towels daily too. The food in the main restaurants is nice and the fresh fruit and salad is good, however the food is relatively the same every day which gets a bit boring. Unfortunately some the dishes were not labelled to say what they were so you didn’t know what you were eating - this was mainly the salad add on’s and the desserts. The waiter service is okay, sometimes I felt ignored (servers would walk straight past us on multiple occasions and go to another family who’d just sat down. We’d wait a while and then either try and catch their eyes or just go up ourselves) a bit disappointing. Everyone should be treated the same. (Yes, I do tip if I’ve had good service). The snack ranges near the main pool are great and they have access to free water nearly everywhere you go. The drinks available from the bars have good options and the queues (if any) go down quickly. The nice touch is they have a coffee hut next to the main pool which serves coffees, iced lattes with various flavours and bubble tea amongst other drinks (all free). We tried the Al Carte Mexican restaurant one night and the food was amazing - couldn’t fault it! One evening we fancied a change from the buffet meals and ordered room service through the TV. We waited 45mins and then phoned up to enquire as to where the food is, to be told the TV doesn’t take orders for room service (that’s not the message you get on the tv when you place the order tv). On the phone the gentlemen acknowledged that we had placed the order but said he would have to take the order again over the phone. Now we wait to see how much longer it will take. It took another 30mins (1 hour and 20mins from the first order). Another 15mins as I wasn’t happy to be charged for 2 meals after waiting so long for a fault of the hotel. The burgers were cold but tasty. (I wasn’t happy to pay as this was a matter of principle, you should not be able to use an app on the hotels own tv and page to order room service if the system is not up and running properly). There should be a notification to inform hotel guests or not be able to place it in the first place. The entertainment during the day (at the main pool) is okay - your average exercise class and DJ playing music throughout the day , but that’s about it. We didn’t experience the evening entertainment as it looked like a band playing music or if you’re an adult you could go to the night club (those days are over for me). You could go over to the sister hotel for some entertainment at the pavilion but then you’d have to leave to watch the rest of the entertainment at the Starlight hotel. The hotel entrance and main building is lovely but there are other areas that let it down (shabby, tired looking, chipped stone work in the pool areas and other places. Not many toilet facilities available close to the pools, hall lights outside the rooms (club houses) that shine through the bottoms of doors at night (would be better to have light sensors). Food on repeat virtually everywhere day, not much entertainment and room service appalling ). On a good note most of the staff we have encountered have been okay, some not very friendly and seem uninterested. Unfortunately from this experience I wouldn’t say it’s a 5 star hotel, which is a shame as I was really excited when we booked the holiday and had seen the reviews. Sadly I’ve stayed in better 4 star hotels which is disappointing. I personally wouldn’t stay here again.

• Q1027WNjacekm (8/5): From the perspective of years - I have been coming back to this Hotel for years. The Hotel has many advantages. In the foreground space, garden, lots of well-kept greenery, paths where it is nice to walk and in all of this, bungalows embedded in it, constituting an oasis of peace in this space. The multitude of pools, the gigantic beach (although rocky but such is the region) mean that the inglorious custom of occupying sunbeds at dawn does not exist here. You will find free ones at any time of day. The service is nice, cheerful, helpful, I cannot say a bad word. I will not mention anyone by name, so as not to disappoint those not mentioned. rooms cleaned every day, the room bar refilled every day (this year unfortunately without Doritos). New pluses: food truck with coffee - great, although you have to wait a while :-), Turkish specialties corner in the main restaurant. Unfortunately, the last 2 years have seen a deterioration. Animations, monotonous and only for "brothers" from the East, similarly with evening animations for Toddlers. Definitely less activity during the day, darts and pool aerobics, it's much less than what the Hotel got me used to in previous years. Food - abyss. I understand that the situation on the markets is what it is and you have to look for these savings somewhere, but chicken and fish every day can be discouraging. Where are the steaks, where are the shashliks... . Bars? This is a tragedy, just compare the photos of the bar in the Lobby from previous years and this year, and that should be enough for the whole comment. Limited amount of premium alcohols or rather their complete lack, nuts or snacks are also hard to find. Fortunately, Yeni and Shalgam are still present. To sum up, the recession on the markets took its toll on World of Sunrise. Does it mean that I won't go there again? NO!!! :-), because the advantages of the Hotel still outweigh some shortcomings, and I am willing to pay more for a vacation spent there, but with conditions from 5 years ago. • fadidib (6/5): Theft in the room - THis was my 2nd stay in this resort, I usually pay in cash when i arrive to the hotel. This year after i was surprised that they didn't accept any $100 bill that had writing on it or a stamp so i replaced all the notes that were stamped with clean ones on check in which left me with a number of stamped bills and a numbe of clean ones. I put all the bank notes in the safe in the room and 2 days later when i wanted to withdraw some cash i noticed all the clean bank notes were gone and i was left with only the stamped ones. I reported the theft " $1600 USD" and the hotel did his inquiry but said that it was impossible. It became my word against theirs. Anyway I just wanted to share this incident with you so you don't treat the safes in the rooms as a safe place for your cash and papers.
• anamariapricop (6/5): Its decent - Beautiful Hotel with Serious Health Concerns to Be Aware Of We stayed here last week as a family (my wife, our 1-year-old baby, and I), and while the resort has many positives, we also had a very unfortunate experience that travelers should be aware of. The good parts: • The hotel is huge — actually a combination of two resorts — with beautiful swimming pools and lots of activities to keep you busy. • You can stay in the main hotel or choose a bungalow, which we really liked for its peaceful, nature-surrounded setting. • The beach is clean and well-organized with sunbeds and umbrellas (but go early to get a spot). • Evening events are well done and fun for guests of all ages. The negatives: • Entering the sea is very uncomfortable due to large stones — bring water shoes. • The food is mediocre, and the restaurant layout is confusing for the first few days. • Unfortunately, during our stay, both my wife and I developed stomach issues, possibly from the food or pool water. We needed a doctor. Here’s the serious part: the hotel claims to have an in-house doctor, but it turned out to be a young woman who only spoke Turkish and seemed far more focused on collecting our personal and insurance info than helping. She quickly referred us to an outside hospital — Eslem Hastanesi — where we had a terrible experience and were scammed with excessive charges for minimal treatment. Our advice: enjoy the facilities, but be very cautious about any medical issues. Do not go to the hospital they refer you to — research independent clinics if needed. This hotel has a lot of potential, but after what we experienced, especially as a family with a baby, we left with mixed feelings and concern for others who might find themselves in a similar situation.
• Maksym (10/5): - I liked being directly on the beach, I spent every day of my stay going there in the mornings. Even though I didn't do any of the activities on offer, I did see that there are lots of them every day. I think this is a great place for relaxing vacation.

• _Y2125RP (10/5): Excellent 5-star hotel if you don't have too high expectations from Turkey - The hotel is excellent: rooms are good (at least bungalows, which were some of the last to be renovated), the area is bombastic green, the beach is clean, the sea is very clean and despite October it was still very warm (perhaps the biggest pleasant surprise), children's towns, hammocks, swings. It was our first time in a hotel with a stable, a 24-hour fully-functional restaurant, and show program that surprised every day (it is repeated only once every 14 days and includes only guest artists: Todes, circuses, motorcyclists, etc.). No one, as some complain in comments, needs to be extra paid for anything, tips are voluntary. Extra room items, 24-hour coffee in the bar, refillable in-room minibar, beach towels change, bottled water etc. – everything is unlimited, included and there was no problem with anything. I don't fully understand those comments on the lack of food: every day there are at least two kinds of grilled fish, lots of vegetables and fruits, Turkish sweets every time, always french fries, pizza, Turkish and other bagels for young picky eaters. During the day, right at the beach, unlimited fruits, ice cream, waffles, fries and hot dogs are waiting for you. We visited three a la carte restaurants. Two of them were free of charge (4 free restaurants all in all, and only once a week), and the other was a prepayment fish one. The last one at the seaside we liked most of all, the Turkish one (on the lawn) was also of a good level, the Mexican we liked little less. Yes, food is constantly repeated, and you can only find huge shrimps and all sorts of seafood in the prepaid a la carte, but during your stay you never get tired of variety of the main table, which is much larger than at home. In case of birthday, the hotel provides you with a birthday cake with a candle, no matter where you have your dinner (you have to inform Guest Relation Service in advance). - The hotel shares its area with the Sunrise Hotel, and everyone can use both properties. There's a train, travelling through the territory, stopping about once every half hour at each stop. But kids jump into it on the move. By the way, actively and by foot, we could reach quickly any point of both hotels, although at first glance the territory may seem vast. - We made our own way to the greenhouses. There's nothing outstanding about them, but they are nice, and there was a gardener on the spot, he tried to talk about his plants (suits us better than joining hotel tour). - Pools are beautiful, in October they were cold, for some reason only Starlight pools don’t have a chlorine smell, and there is no heated pool. - Waterpark is not extreme, but excellent, for all ages: a cute sand pool for babies, a "king of the mountain" ball for teenagers, the scariest slide-toilet:) and others. - There is a high-level spa center, with many chill-out zones, hammam of no charge. - There is a be-paid-for water sports center on the beach. Jet ski, banana, pill, ski, motorcycle, windsurfing. We only tried parachute. The only unpleasant impression came from here. Fed-up, not-so-welcome beach dealers who gave almost equal price for both videos-photos and the flight itself, not letting us to take at least one our own picture to remember. Anyway, we were not ready for that and denied to buy photo services. - At the beach there's also a small river with a bridge. It is clean, no smell, no mosquitoes. - There's also a pier with sunbeds and stairs to the deep sea. You can snorkel under it, especially if you have some bread for the fish with you. - All promised animals were found onsite: a hedgehog, a turtle, peacocks (including albinos), ducks, river fish, crabs, rooster and chickens, cats. - The stable has nine horses and a nice horse keeper. Fee-based. My sister-in-law was excited that, instead of her usual once a week training, she was able to practice every other day. She practiced show jumping for the first time there) Three of us took a two-hour ride to the beach. Harshness of the village we passed through to get to the seaside was a bit depressing. But riding on horseback through sea waves makes it worth enduring. - Pleasant yoga classes (again, if not expect professional trainers, but enjoy morning practice outdoors or night meditation on the sea pier). - Also included: water polo, fitness center, cross-fit, stretching, face yoga, pilates, chess (floor-type), bocce, water gymnastics (including with exercise equipment, but there are so many those wishing to, you need to come in advance whenever equipment is used), beach volleyball, darts, table tennis, tabata in place of aerobics. We haven't made it to mini-football and basketball. There's also an extra-pay mini-golf. As for disadvantages, I only want to complain about animation chart. Lists of activities differ everywhere, some don't match the time. Of the stated here and there a cinema, a skating ring, squash, foam parties, pool games, dancing, including club-dance, kangoo jumps, cardio, tibet, archery, skating, badminton and canoeing are missing, although some of the listed are on the schedule. No one comes to cross-fit because coach doesn't invite anyone and seems to hide. The Play Station Teenage Club is not open at all (apparently due to lack of popularity among teenagers), and the rock-climbing wall is closed. Our teenagers weren't rushing in, and we don't really need all these activities, but it is better to take anything irrelevant off the schedule and to warn about the closed ones. Otherwise, one spends some of his priceless vacation time trying to figure out what works and what doesn't (because you want to try everything available). Teenage club’s location is even hard to be found (and in the end it is useless). Same thing with the play center of the main building (pool, gaming machines, etc.). A Guest Relation lady informed us some activities are included, but it wasn't so. The same lady said that the hotel service application (called Guestranet) had never been launched. However, when I addressed reception through Guestranet, my request was processed. But on the whole the app is really dead. Water park slides for adults are open between 12 and 4 pm, being located at the far end of the hotel - all such information should be compiled in one brochure so that there are no unreasonable expectations. In general, negative side is following: there is lack of an updated schedule and of informing guests on all the entertainment and everything to enjoy “all inclusive”. Tip: go straight to animation team and ask what is relevant and what is not, don't trust beautiful posters. Also, it turned out to be funny that despite the fact that this hotel unusually states it “does not check in men unaccompanied by women”, entire football teams (within a business-cup) and also Turkish male officials (within a huge team retreat) checked in at one time. And yes, companies come to the meetings. But personally, they didn't bother us any more than other guests. Closure. We love intimate type of vacation, and we didn’t buy all-inclusive in a while. We’d been a little bit afraid of crowding, but wanted to go to such an entertainment-oriented hotel because of the kids. As a result, the scope of Starlight pleasures outweighed the crowding - we didn't have time to notice others. Have a nice trip! :)) Oleg and Liza P.S. Please pass this request on to the management! The hotel possesses a lot of tennis-courts, the outermost being a bit abandoned. They could serve a great pasture area for your horses! Your stable with wonderful horse keeper is what we and many others choose this hotel for. Horses only have a training area, and the court that directly borders this training area is already overgrown - it would be a great grassland, tasty and to be cut down by animals. There is only city infrastructure and all those courts around – find some more places for your horses to walk, show even more humane attitude towards them. Thank you!
• EminOruc (6/5): Bad quality food - Hotel staff is friendly and drinks are ok. The only problem with the hotel is the quality of food. For an instance it seems there are variety of food but all has similar taste and the quality of the food is in extremely low. We were there for a symposium and nearly everyone had stomach problems.
• Irina (4/5): - Good: The hotel has beautifully maintained gardens, a wide selection of food options catering to various tastes, and a clean, quiet lobby – all of which set a promising tone for a relaxing stay. Bad: Now, let me explain the reality behind that first impression. Service at the snack bar was truly unacceptable. Waiters couldn’t be bothered to offer us a table, even though plenty were available just behind a red rope. They simply rolled their eyes and pointed to a makeshift area not intended for dining. Another day, staff members actually followed me around to ensure I didn’t take food out of the snack bar, leaving me feeling like a thief. When I raised these issues, the guest relationship manager saw fit to lecture me on “Turkish manners.” Instead of addressing the problem, I was made to feel in the wrong. Sending a few apples and a bottle of wine is hardly an adequate response – a little genuine effort would go a long way. To make matters worse, our rooms weren’t cleaned daily, and we even ran out of toilet paper. Again, a plate of fruit and some wine were sent as a supposed “solution.” The sunbeds by the elephant pool were cleaned with bleach, but not rinsed, leaving my mum with ruined shorts covered in holes. No apology, no response – nothing. And finally, the rudeness peaked with the barmen at the beach bar, who chose to mock my request by mimicking my face and responding sarcastically in Turkish. Consistent rudeness and hostility tainted the entire experience.
• 294keryn (4/5): No longer a 5 star & take note if travelling with teenage girls. - Having stayed at the Starlight twice before I hope this review helps others. We first stayed at the Starlight in 2018 & 2019 when my daughter was under 10. We really enjoyed everything about the Starlight, it felt safe & secure and there was lots of choice of what to do. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we had a great time each time we visited (we stayed for 10 days each time) This time we arrived around 11pm (which had been the case on previous visits) and immediately knew something had changed. Previously we had been greeted by hotel staff who took our cases ready to be transported to the room, there was even a lovely welcome drink on arrival. This time there was no one around and we found ourselves waiting in a smoky (even though the hotel is none smoking) reception for around 15 minutes before someone appeared to check us in, who then told us to take our cases back outside for the bel-boy to take us to our room. 10 minutes later I went back in to request the bel-boy as no one had come to collect us. The service at mealtimes and at the bars was terrible too, it felt like they were almost doing their best to avoid serving a drink. My previous visits have been in August when the hotel was really busy and the service was 10 times better, the hotel this time was much quieter, but the service was shocking. The food was good, there was always a good choice, it was fresh and tasty. The rooms were fine a little basic and in need of some updating but ok (not 5 star) Our mini bar was topped up a couple of times not daily and we had to request toilet rolls. I don’t think I would have written this review if the rest of the holiday was different, but I feel that it needs to be pointed out. When looking for a holiday earlier this year and the Starlight came up as an option, we had no problem booking again based on our previous experience. This time there would be myself, my partner, my daughter (15) and stepdaughter (16) (who had never been previously). Like I said at the start the complex felt very safe and we would have no problem in letting our daughters explore a little by themselves in the daytime on the complex. They loved this idea, the thought of being able to nip to the water park or grab lunch when they wanted it was ideal for them. The reason I have mentioned my daughters ages a couple of times is also the reason I would not attend this hotel with them again. The waiting on and bar staff were obsessed with them, staring at them, trying to talk to them, asking for their Instagram and snapchat names was completely unacceptable. I witnessed them doing the same with most of the younger woman there, they seemed to think they were on holiday themselves trying to get the attention of girls rather than doing their job. Please teach your staff that they are at work and not on a dating app. Night times during the entertainment the whole place was very intimidating, it no longer felt family friendly, the number of times different bar staff would wander past to look at the girls was really disturbing. I actually spoke with one of the bar men and told them not to talk to my daughter again as they were 15 & 16, unfortunately this didn’t seem to stop them.
• Q2345YPchristophern (2/5): BE VERY CAUTIOUS! 2 year old caught Hand, Foot & Mouth in pool, 1 adult got Salmonella poisoning. HOLIDAY FROM HELL - HOLIDAY FROM HELL!!! Our 2 year old girl catches Hand foot and mouth disease half way through our 11 night stay. I got salmonella poisoning and had severe diarrhoea and cramps all through my last day. Once returned back to UK I was off work for 2 weeks waiting on salmonella clearing up. Our 2 year old was taken to a private hospital which the hotel has a contract with, little did we know the hospital was black listed by our insurance group AXA for communication, and lack of correct procedures. We were held ransom and passport taken upon arrival and not allowed to leave hospital until we paid 3250 euros for 2 nights in hospital. Hospital said it was most likely that our little girl had caught the disease from the swimming pools, we were also told 1 other family had just been discharged from the same hospital that came from Starlight as well. Now if the hotel knows there is a disease in pools there should be notices and closures to give time to clean and prevent further outbreak. Clearly this did not happen. We were asked not to go into any swimming pools once we arrived back to hotel after 3 days, they offered us “executive terrace” to have breakfast lunch and dinner, which is basically just a secluded area away from all the other guests, it’s not any more fancy than the normal dining area, just quiet, my girlfriends birthday was on the Monday the day before our flight and they did organise a free massage for her, and yes it was appreciated. But the lack of ownership and responsibility was beyond a joke, no apology, they just wanted to hide us away and keep us quiet, they didn’t close pool to clean or even make announcement. They would not accept it had came from their pools. We only spent time at the Elephant pool, that was suited for both adults and kids with the kids pool next to it, we honestly never stepped in another pool. I just want to make other families aware of the practices here and be very cautious if you do decide to stay here. And please do not go to a private hospital!! Always ask for state hospital.
• 940radus (8/5): Nice place to visit with your family. - Very good hotel and services. Hotel is placed in a very large area. In the garden there are two hotels an a large number of villas. The garden has a large fron open to the Mediteran see. Beach with small rocks. Food and berages served at the testaurants and bars has a normal quality for a 5 stars hotel located in Antalya. It worth to visit this location! Have a nice holiday!
• Deniz (2/5): - Bis auf yigithan und Eray sollte das gesamte Personal ausgetauscht werden! Bin jedes Jahr 2x im Urlaub 5sterne. Dies war das schrecklichste bis jetzt. Meine Freundin kam 19 Uhr an und sagte das sie 20 Minuten an der Rezeption stand und nicht beachtet wurde. Noch schlimmer sie sprach das Personal an aber es wird klar klassifiziert zwischen Russen und allen anderen Gästen. Schlimmer noch sie musste 1 Stunde auf ihr Zimmer warten um 19uhr?! Nachdem ich am nächsten Tag angereist war, erlebte ich unglaublicher Weise einfach das selbe mit dem Personal. Vor allem die Damen an der Lobby sorgen für viele Probleme. Nachdem wir Beschwerde eingereicht hatten wurde uns ein wenig entgegen kommen. Wir haben auch ein Pavillon gemietet für einen Tag selbst was dort passierte ist nicht zu glauben. Dort Empfang uns eine Frau namens Elena die von Anfang an sehr kalt und unsympathisch war. Wir hatten unsere Karte vergessen und dann hatte sie keine Lust 5 Minuten zu warten aber ich habe gesagt doch warten sie bitte jetzt. Dann wurde sie schon unhöflich mit ihrer Gestik. Nachdem wir die Karte brachten , sagte sie sie sind die Familie xxx ? Dann wurde ich sehr sauer weshalb sie das nicht von Anfang gefragt hatte da wir schon gebucht und gezahlt hatten und da bin ich geplatzt und siehe da ab da an wurde sie dann auch auf einmal netter. Und ebenfalls bei dem Pavillons wird sich über die russischen Gäste extra nochmal mehr gekümmert! Viele Mitarbeiter bestätigten die Beschwerden von uns.

• Jeffrey (8/5): - Very clean and nice accommodation with plenty for children to do. Spacious with good food selection and several restaurants. The staff is helpful and responsive. Excellent selection of swimming pools if you do not fancy the rocky beach. It was sometimes difficult to find a clean table at peak meal times and wild roosters roam the property and a mosque is near with morning prayer calls, so if you don't fancy an early wake-up call from either, then perhaps worth staying elsewhere.
• Liliia (6/5): - Even property rated as 5 star, which really not. Maybe 15 years ago it was a 5 star, but not today. 2 times when we stayed we had power outage and that's mean no AC during heat 33C. If you expect everyone on reception can speak english, dont :) Overall personal is welcoming.

• Alice (6/5): - This was more of a 4 star than a 5 star hotel. Very disappointing. Most of the staff spoke no English which was very hard. The beach was stony rather than sandy which nade getting in very painful. Food selection extremely poor and dinner was very short time frame which meant it was incredibly busy and difficult to find a table. Glad we werr only there for a week. Would not recommend.

• Büşra (4/5): - The hotel was located by sea, that was fascinating. However it was one and a half hour distant to Antalya airport. Meals were not that much good. It took an hour us to check-in. Not feeling so relaxed and special after our stay.

• Mike (2/5): Terrible Service, Rude Staff, Avoid! - Lots of issues with this Resort. We get there at 2 PM to check-in as listed, Reception says that it will take time to find rooms as they are busy and didn't have time to prepare our rooms (booked 6 weeks in advance), we wait til 6 PM for our rooms, 4 hours after check in time. The rooms are not what is pictured on the Expedia site, they resemble a 2 star motel room at best. They are outdated and dirty. Again, our complaints were not taken care of, and we were ignored by the resort staff. Staff is extremely rude to anyone that speaks English to them. Dining options are a lie, you are allowed access to the buffet and snack bar, all other restaurants have a fee (we were allowed one restaurant during our stay). Lights and air conditioning in the dining hall are turned off at the end of each meal as to push out guests, food starts getting removed a half hour before the meal end time. Most activities have a charge. Absolutely horrible service.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Great Hotel. Loved every moment. - Everything here was perfect. Friendly staff, Good food, facilities were taken care of well. Beautiful gardens and endless amounts of pools, not to mention instant beach access. Free drinks and alcohol every hour of the day. Only downside is that the maids stole an important towel my friend had and also our second key.
