- Kay (10/5): - Came just for a night over Valentine's day weekend and had dinner at the property. Food was insane!!! Best dessert I've had in years and I am in culinary school. Super comfortable stay, lots of fun products/serums to use, heated floors, great library room where we thumbed through books on local attractions. Wonderful night.

- Saluki2013 (10/5): Peace in the chaos of NY - Sometimes there are no words for excellence. I will do my best - but very simply - I don’t think it gets any better than this. Having the privilege to stay at many iconic hotels in my travels - this place has taken a very special place among many. Susan and Dillon at the Inn, Nikki at the Tavern, Jen from Majestic Hudson and Jenny from the Yoga Loft created a truly magical experience. At one point I was told to just relax - “we have everything you need” - and this continued on throughout our stay. From the snacks to the fireside ceremony to the wine and s’mores served under the stars - just a sense of understated luxury I have never seen executed at this level. We were able to find peace at the BPI - something we truly believe is priceless. Thank you.

- nymw (2/5): If you are looking for below average food and terrible service, this is your place! - The Tavern at Bedford Post Inn continues to deliver mediocre food and beyond terrible service. The beautiful location masks a disorganized cabal of poorly trained employees, rude management and an overwhelmed kitchen that cannot even produce the correct temperature of their $33 burger which may be the most expensive in Westchester. We had to send back our fries because they were undercooked and soggy. Aren't these on a timer??? Last night we waited +20 minutes before our first drinks were finally served, then the food was delivered almost an hour after that. Unacceptable. The joke at the table was we could not get enough bread to finish the fois gras we ordered. After multiple requests over 15 minutes to our wait staff, a manager threw down a bowl of stale, crusted bread pieces that suspiciously looked like the salad croutons they served. The excuse was the kitchen and bar are overwhelmed.....This dumpster fire of poor service, an over burdened kitchen and forgettable food falls directly on the arrogant and aloof management team that cares more about turning tables than producing a high quality dining experience. I have been here 5 or 6 times and it's always the same bad experience. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for dinner unless poor service and below average food is what you are looking for. I am so done with this place - never again.

An incredibly good breakfast at the cozy barn and dinner at the tavern we can also only recommend. Super nice and friendly and thoughtful staff and best service by EVERYONE, but special thanks to Susan! And if you do practice yoga, don't miss a class at the beautiful yoga loft! Nothing that we could add to this space! Everything was just perfect.
- Jeanmarie (5/5): The warmest summer I’ve ever had was a night at this hotel. - The location was perfect in regards to family and entertainment The room had absolutely no airflow and after six hours of sweating to death at 4 AM I went out for a walk and then just turned off the heat altogether where I’ve never had a bad night of sleep in my life.

- Isabella (10/5): Lovely overnight - Bedford Post Inn exceeded all expectations! The staff is first rate and the room was cozy with a lovely fireplace. Dinner in the Tavern was delicious and I loved breakfast in barn followed by yoga- heaven!
- W (6/5): Disruptive noise, poor management response, and a lack of concern ruined our stay - The overall condition of the inn and attention to detail created a very good first impression—it felt very homey and inviting. The reception staff were also very good. The inn has 8 rooms and 2 restaurants, The restaurants are always busy. In general the atmosphere is peacefull but they have a problem with the sound travelling through the structure and hvac. We stayed in Room 3, and the noise coming from the walls—only noticeable when trying to sleep—was disruptive. Despite reception's efforts, the source couldn't be identified. The general manager's insincere response and lack of resolution added to our frustration after two nights of poor sleep. I wouldn't have written this review if genuine concern was shown, but instead, she called at exactly 11 a.m. to quicken the pace of our checkout, furthering our frustration. This experience ruined our stay.

From the moment you approach the property, you are greeted with a magical backdrop of natural plantings, masonry stonework, and pergolas. The landscapes simply embraces you. There are a variety of outdoor places to sit including the fire pit area which offered comfortable seating under the trees and amazing perennial gardens. As you enter the dining room, the host staff is genuinely pleased to see you. I always appreciate the personal attention! Lexi greeted our party by name and warmly walked us to our table. The dining room layout was well thought out and the decor provided for a very intimate setting. The stone fireplace will be incredibly inviting during the cold winter months and is a central focal point in the main dining room. The attentive wait staff engaged us almost immediately with smiles and energy. Our server, Catherine was very well-versed on the menu and spent time describing flavors and the menu options. During our entire seating, the staff insured we were comfortable and that our table was well organized and attended to for every course! Our food was equally as impressive from beginning to end. We appreciated the variety and the selection for each of our unique pallets. I highly recommend every guest begin with a pop over. It brings back such wonderful memories of Maine, but it also creates the warm embrace of breaking bread with friends and family to start your dining experience. Each of our choices offered a well-balanced mix of flavors, distinctive tastes including one dish paired with a smoked chili yogurt sauce. It was impressive to see the unique seasonal pairings offered. For example, you must experience the burrata salad with heirloom tomatoes, watermelon slices and summer herbs with nasturtium. Another member of our party enjoyed the delicious salmon plate with peas, asparagus, and a gentle butter sauce. All of the flavors worked brilliantly together. We found the menu to offer a variety for all! The desserts did not disappoint. So much creativity in flavors and the wonderful presentation! Our party was also impressed with the beverage menu. Many classic drinks and some with twists, which only complemented the dining experience. The valet service was friendly and seamless. We are looking forward to our next visit.
- ArtistofEscape (10/5): A Beautiful Escape - I loved my stay at Bedford Post Inn. The Inn is beautiful and the staff is incredible. Julia VanBuren and Alexander were both amazing and very welcoming. The town of Bedford is equally charming and you feel tucked away at the Inn, though you are very close to the shops and restaurants.

Price was high, but it advertised having a very good restaurant. When we later called for dinner reservation wr were told it was closed for renovations. We wouldn’t have reserved a high priced hotel if we knew that ahead.

The room was so loud. If I had not have paid so much I would be more generous. No one told me there was a hot breakfast until I was leaving.

Warren from the moment we checked in, to finding the football game on in our room- after turning on our fireplace and bringing us wine… can’t say enough about how great he treated us!

- Sarsprdoc (10/5): Anniversary stay was great in room 2 - Room 2 was spacious bright and clean. Love the large bathroom and walk in shower with its temperature controlled faucet handle. Takes the guesswork out of 2 knob start up. Nice fluffy robes and a complementary glass of wine were relaxing. Would have been nice to visit on a dry summer day rather than a rainy cold November night. The deck in room 2 has a partial roof view which I did not like as well as the gravel parking lot. Also we like to relax in bed on morning and watch network morning show which was not available on their satellite TV
- nkr09 (8/5): Nice Annoversary Stay - I was weary to stay here because the reviews made it seem mediocre. However, my husband and I decided to spend our anniversary here. We found the Inn lovely. The room was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. Zach at the front desk was extremely helpful and kind. We would definitely stay here again. My only semi issue was the service at The Barn was quite slow, but what restaurant isn’t post-2020. Food was great. All and all a nice night away.

- Traveler44787 (10/5): A wonderful weekend at the Bedford post inn - Booked by my travel agent Virgi at Luxvoyage and professionally attended by zak, Lukas, Warren and Robert to a great family get together in a beautiful setting. We booked 4 large rooms that were all tastefully furnished with a balcony . The breakfast was different and loved by all. Yes, it is expensive but worth it for us. We will definitely be back there again.

- Roam624102 (6/5): Beautiful but staff need training - A Beautiful room but thats it. Welcome was guy on the computer telling me to wait. He then showed us around and apologised profusely for the state of the lounge and proceeded to do nothing about it for 4 hours. Breakfast was undercooked frittata and breadbasket was 1 scone and an undercooked confection. We had one of our party with allergies for dairy and eggs and absolutely no attempt to find a substitute was made. The restaurant and the hotel are now completely separately owned. Overall the place is beautiful but the staff make it not worth the expense

- Michele (8/5): High price creates high expectations - This is a very nice location. We stayed here because it was close to our family. It is like a very nice bed and breakfast. Staff were delightful. Based on the price we expected this to be a full service hotel. Restaurant was not open. You can hear people in their rooms. There was no charger for electric cars. Room was small but spotless. Bathroom large very nice and spotless. Again- the staff were super but we left early.
- Noush78 (4/5): Bedford Post Inn needs immédiate attention! - The lovely Bedford Post Inn needs immediate care and love it seems...The property is beautiful but its staff is incompetent, food is average at best and the service is well, inexistant for what is dubbed a "luxury" establishment. Even more when it is supposed to be a "Relais et Chateaux"... The wifi did not work, yet the manager explained to me it worked just fine all whilst chewing gum... Staff should be there to take care of guests not be snooty and stand offish... Enjoy!

A gorgeous property, beautiful gardens, super comfortable rooms with great amenities and the most warm and welcoming team. You are so close to the city and CT and yet you feel like you are tucked away in Tuscany or the Cotswolds. Old world charm everywhere. My corner room had beautiful old wood exposed beams and a delightful spa bathroom. Every corner, every detail of this place is picture perfect. Can’t wait to come back!
- cleanergym (4/5): confused, odd and rather unpleasant. - Despite the fact that hospitality has many of the same letters as hostile, one should not confuse the two. However, this is exactly what the staff at this strange place have done. Stand offish, over-staffed and under welcoming seem to be their mantra. Rooms, well decked out, grounds lovely - but feeling scared of the staff does not make for a good stay! Heating also not easy to manage. Food options poor both in scope and accessibility.

- stephenicardi (4/5): Not even a 4-star - My partner and I were very excited to spend a few nights at the Bedford Post Inn for our fifth anniversary after staying with some friends in Pound Ridge earlier that week. While the price tag was a bit high, we thought it would be a lovely way to spend our anniversary, especially since it’s a part of the prestigious Relais & Chateaux. Upon arrival we were greeted by a slightly frantic front desk attendant. We were then shown to our room where we settled in and then decided it was time for an afternoon cocktail. After all, it was 3:00pm on a Sunday. We made our way down to “The Barn” which is the only open restaurant on the premises - normally there are 3. We were told they were closed between brunch and dinner. Normally that wouldn’t be a problem, but there was no minibar, no room service, and no other restaurants/bars in the surrounding areas, so we were out of luck. Later that day as we were got ready for dinner, we found that our shower wouldn’t get hotter than lukewarm. The sink? More than very hot. But the shower just wouldn’t heat up. So a lukewarm shower would have to do.We left our room to walk to the restaurant for our reservation, which thankfully we made because when we checked in earlier that day we were told by the front desk that they were fully booked. And again, nothing else was open at the hotel. When we finished dinner, we passed the front desk where we were asked whether we still wanted our evening beverage and charcuterie plate. At check-in we told them we would love that. “Are you sure?” asked the front desk attendant asked at 9pm. “Yes, that would be great.” I said. “And the charcuterie plate? Are you sure?” “Yes,...please” I said. Confused, we wandered back to our room. The after dinner drink and plate never arrived. The next day both my partner and I had a little bit of work to do so we turned the TV on and opened our laptops. No more than 5 minutes passed and the TV froze and started buffering and our internet cut in and out. We walked to the front desk and asked for their help. One of the employees came to our room and proceeded to inspect the back of our TV for about 5 minutes. Clearly a bit out of her element, she told us she was going to get someone to help and would be back. She never returned. No one came to fix it. Also, there is no cell service at the hotel so without WIFI you’re a little out of luck. While I understand that this is only a 4-star hotel, I would have expected more from a boutique property that had only 8 rooms and whose cheapest room starts at $675.00.
- MJH161 (4/5): Surprises @ Bedford Post Inn - Upon our arrival at the Bedford Post Inn at 4pm there was some type of cleaning crew spraying forcefully at all the windows. No one greeted us. We found the front desk but nobody was present. We wandered around for a few minutes. Eventually we did find an employee who was on the phone. Once she got off the phone, she volunteered to help us bring some of our baggage in. Apparently there is one staff member on duty at a time to answer the phone and deal with requests from callers and from the eight rooms that are available. She seemed overwhelmed. We took a walk around the property. The area beneath and east of the yoga studio was a mess. There were at least three tarps covering up piles of dirt and various hoses laying around. The reflecting pool was filled with dirty leaves. We felt like we were off to a rough start given the price of nearly $1000 a night for our room. Our room #2 seemed clean and nice. We were surprised that there was no refrigerator. We were again surprised that there is no ice readily available at the inn, although the single front desk employee can retrieve it from the basement upon request. We did have a wooden deck with some pretty flowers. We were about 35 yards from a busy highway with a lot of noise. I didn’t notice the noise inside but it was obvious when we were sitting on the deck. I thought we were going to a remote area that would be very peaceful — surprise! We continued to experience all sorts of issues with our room. The thermostat was pumping out cold air on a cold night and we couldn’t get it to switch to heating the room. The toilet didn’t flush properly. The tile floor in the bathroom was supposedly heated but didn’t work. The Wi-Fi was spotty. The hot water in the shower exhausted after a few minutes. The inn ran out of decaffeinated coffee. The TV cuts out for about a minute every 30 minutes, presumably due to slow Wi-Fi streaming. No nightlight to help find the bathroom. OK let’s also point out a few good things. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was huge. We had two sinks. There is a glass of wine served in the afternoon along with some charcuterie. A breakfast is included and it was unusually good for a continental breakfast. The juice seemed fresh squeezed and the yogurt was possibly homemade (one oddity is that precisely the same breakfast is served every day). The bathrobes actually fit! One morning we walked out of the Inn and who would be seated at a table outside in a meeting? Richard Gere himself! Surprise! We did ask multiple staff members at different times on multiple days (Joanna, Warren, Lynn, 2 others) for help in addressing the issues with the room and they did respond as best they could. I think they did care. One mentioned that a major renovation will be happening in the near future. In summary, we were disappointed with our travel agent for recommending and booking this place for 3 nights. They need a full-time handyman or renovation crew to address multiple problems, during which time they need to close the inn. This is not a five-star resort. Perhaps it used to be, but it has deteriorated.
- nohbb (2/5): RITA TRIEGER IS HORRIBLE AND THE FOOD IS HORRIBLE! - I didn’t know what to vomit over first. The yoga class or the food that I waited over two hours for. Rita’s class was less than sufficient and the food from a “five star” restaurant was tasteless, insufficient and could have easily been bought at a take out. Rita is ridiculous. Bedford a post Inn is ridiculous And please see the photo of her sleepy face!.
- sgfuirst (10/5): Yoga Loft - Love love the yoga loft! Such a wonderful gem of a space with smart, experienced teachers (Kate is magic), and the studio manager, Janet, was so helpful. It felt like a covid-safe experience. Definitely not your typical resort or tourism yoga. I will keep coming back.
- ND19family (4/5): Not Relais Chateaux quality - The young staff left to handle the guests- paying Relais Chateaux prices- are unprepared for simple requests such as - can you provide a map of the property, where can we safely ride the bikes, what's the best way to access the Hudson Valley? They are well meaning and sweet, but without training or guidance can not provide the kind of service expected. In addition, the restaurant is understaffed. It leads to delayed food, long waits for drinks and the check. The wifi simply doesn't work, yet the only way to access the menu is online. Our waitress ended up sending a photo of the menu from her personal phone after a long frustrating wait. We abandoned plans to return the next day because the service was so stalled. Finally, we never received the cheese/charcuterie offered at check in and the breakfast provided to the room was unappetizing. In short, it felt as if the owners created this lovely property but were not there to serve there guests.

Spent a wonderful weekend there and the grounds are beautiful and excellent for hiking. The restaurant is also top-notch - delicious and great atmosphere. And the staff could not have been more helpful. We will definitely return.
