Guest Reviews
- Fernando I (10/5): Super - 😎

- Wilding (10/5): Peaceful, spacious and comfortable. - The kitchen facilities were fully equiped, there was water available both in reception and in the kitchen. The bed was comfortable with a fan and a plug in air conditioner, large sizeable room with balcony and large bathroom, good hot water. Nice and quiet, very polite and accomodating staff, there is always someone available at the desk, great communication. Shower in bathroom could have been a little cleaner. The location is quiet but we found there were not many food options really close by.
- Jairo Cespedes (10/5): Good value for the money - Close to the center and very friendly staff. No complains.
- David Alejandro (10/5): -
- Alfredo (2/5): - The WORST hotel/hostel I've ever stayed in. The bathroom walls were dirty and moldy, as was the toilet. There was excessive humidity on the room walls. The fan was noisy and dirty. I couldn't stay even one night. I had to find another hotel. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience.
- Oscar (2/5): -
- luisa (10/5): - Todo muy bien! Excelente!
- Imen (10/5): A perfect stay, Olga B&B feels like a home away from home thanks to its amazing team and atmosphere! - Olga B & B was absolutely perfect. The location made it easy to explore everything on foot, and the owners had such a warm and welcoming vibe. The staff went above and beyond to help with anything we needed, always with kindness and a smile. Breakfast was fresh and made with care. The room was spotless, cozy, and made me feel good. Honestly, nothing — everything exceeded expectations. From the atmosphere to the hospitality, it was flawless.
W opisie podano 30m2 a w rzeczywistości było około 10m2. To wpływało zdecydowanie na komfort.
- Mohammed (10/5): Alejandro was amazing—friendly, helpful, and made me feel truly welcome. - I had a great stay at Olga Querida B&B Hostal in Guadalajara. The staff were friendly and helpful, the location was excellent—close to the historic center—and the room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. I didn’t get to try the breakfast because I overslept :) Highly recommended for a relaxing stay in the city.
(8/5): Very good -
- Diana (8/5): Very good - The staff was great! The facilities was peaceful and unique. Some cleaning details with the walls.
- Magdalena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emily (10/5): Cozy room and nice people! - The bed was comfortable, it was easy to get into the hostel, the location was great! Plus we had a good coffee egg and tortilla breakfast in the morning.
- Barbara (8/5): Very good - Balcony, located on a quiet street. No A/C.
- Joy (7/5): Good for price, don’t expect much - The breakfast is very basic, but there is a great coffee shop around the hotel . The stuff was helpful and the owner too.
- Rosalina (6/5): - Staff was very helpful.
- Camilla (8/5): Very good - Nice staff, good location and facilities, good options for the included breakfast, free drinking water. No hot water in the shower.
- Jose carlos (10/5): Lugar céntrico y cómodo - Excelente como siempre
- Barbara (8/5): Very good -
- Israel (8/5): - Mucha tranquilidad
- Barbara (8/5): Good value for money - On a quiet street, friendly staff. No airco.
- Lucie (7/5): Good - Comfortable bed, friendly staff, nice courtyard
No regresaremos.
- Jeaneth (10/5): - Todos muy amables
- Ana (9/5): Superb -
- Graham (10/5): - The manager is awesome! He remembered me from a previous visit and gave me a deal on a ground floor room because he had nothing available on the second floor and the third floor is a lot of stairs for me. Super considerate!
- Josephine (7/5): Good - Staff were very friendly, flexible and helpful, always available. A little noisy and messy in the common areas due to long term residents and groups
- Holly (7/5): A good location but was dirty and didn’t feel homely - It was in a great location in the centre of the city and the room was very spacious. The common areas are great for relaxing. It was also quiet during our stay. The bathroom was quite dirty and there was a lot mould on the ceiling. The room wasn’t very clean either, floors and surfaces was dirty. The receptionist was also a bit rude when we first got there. The breakfast is pretty awful so don’t book it for the free breakfast.
- Lauren (4/5): Not worth the money pictures are deceiving - The bed was comfortable but the sheets were really old and used Black mould on the bathroom ceiling and the breakfast wasn’t great a bit of toast or cereal. Wasn’t like the pictures at all very worn down property
- Leisa (9/5): I would come back - Great location. Coffee, cereal and milk with toast and jelly in the morning. Spacious. Other guests were so friendly and communal kitchen and salon allow you to meet others All was good
- Andreas (7/5): Good -
- Al (9/5): Superb -
- Donald (1/5): Bad - Nothing.they did not answer the phone or open the door.never stay in this place NOTHING.THEY SHOULD BE OUT OF BOOKING
- Pamela (9/5): Olga Querida is clean, secure with a family atmosphere and helpful staff. - The staff are wonderful, very accomodating. I needed a room change for more natural light which was provided upon request. The room I moved to was comfortable and quiet. The owner, Alejandro wants his guests to be comfortable. Although I was booked to stay for longer, I had to leave earlier than expected and the process was simple. The kitchen had many appliances and common areas were spacious. Plenty of refrigerator space for individual storage. The designated seating areas to write were only in common areas, no desk in the guestrooms. Breakfast is generous but no real options for gluten or dairy-free (not that I expect that). Only was able to get a banana one day (even though I was one of the earliest risers) - the guests must be quick for fruit!
- Ken (9/5): Good base to explore the city - Owner is very responsive to messages and caters for guests' requests like check-in/out beyond normal hours.
The whole premise (rooms, bathroom, kitchen and common areas) ais clean and well-kept. Clean and fully-equipped kitchen is a plus.
Room is very spacious but has no air-con; they have two big fans (but the motors roar) to keep the room cool and ventilated, but late October is cool enough I don't need them for sleep.
Good wifi and cable TV; they also serve light self-help breakfast (bread, jams, juices, tea bags etc.) It takes a bit longer to get hot shower, but it gets there.
My room is facing the street, so expect some level of street/traffic noise at night. But a ear plug should do the work.
- Andrew (6/5): Disappointed - So firstly the good, we traveled on an overnight bus from Mexico city, we arrived at about 11am, they allowed us to check in early, lovely. There is an ample kitchen with plenty storage in the fridges and utensils. The coffee and bread in the morning are appreciated to make a full meal easier.
The bed was comfortable.
The bad.
Housekeeping is non existent, we stayed 5 nights without the bathroom bin being changed. (We changed it ourselves) Our ceiling fan had about an inch of dust on it. The bathroom ceiling was covered in mould, the corners of the room felt like they hadn't been cleaned properly in months.
The dish towel in the kitchen was always soaking wet and was the same each day.
The curtain in the room is very thin so the light comes through easily.
The advertised 24/7 reception is not a thing. Unfortunately on our last night someone must have fallen foul of this as at 1-2am (yes the whole hour) we were woken up to the telephone ringing and knocking on the front door, we do not speak Spanish nor did we want to open the door and invite people inside without knowing who they were.
The neighbourhood, although very close to the centre is not the nicest. We encountered no problems however we were very safe and made sure to be back at a reasonable hour.
If the hostel had been clean, had offered even a courtesy bin change daily and had actually offered the services advertised then this review would be extremely different.
- T (8/5): Good and Clean budget stay - Clean and had kitchen where you could cook. Not really anything I didnt like. Sometimes if you needed staff they werent at desk.
- Sinead (4/5): Get a bed in a shared room and pay hostel prices, because this is hostel accommodation. - it was quiet. it really is a hostel, and if I had taken a shared hostel room at a hostel price I would have been happier. instead I had, and paid for, a large double room, which was bad value for a solo Traveller. Breakfast was minimal (toast, peanut butter, jam, cereal, coffee). other residents had and cooked their own food and that’s what I should have done.
- Meaghan (9/5): Cozy hostel with a perfect location - The kitchen was big with lots of dining and chill out space
- Binh (10/5): - The property owner was excellent
- Nuñez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Victoria (10/5): - I had a lovely experience at the hostal. Alejandro, the owner, and Jesús, the employee I saw the most often, were super friendly and responsive to requests. The cleaning lady came once a week, other staff and guests kept things tidy in between, and the atmosphere was fun.
Things to know before you stay:
- If you need towels or toilet paper for your room, make sure to ask for them at the front desk.
- There is no air conditioning (just fans) in the rooms because the climate is temperate.
- Some guests there have chosen to stay for a long period of time, and they may have habits and routines set in place, so it has roommate vibes at times.
- Logan (10/5): - I had a lovely stay at this Hostel. Jesus and Enrique were very kind and helpful, even though I didn't speak much Spanish. I booked a room with a double bed and was nice to have my entire room to myself. I felt very safe in the hostel and the neighborhood, and it was only a 10-minute walk from downtown! I would stay here again!
- Damian (8/5): Very good -
- Elena-andreea (7/5): Good -
- Nikhil (8/5): - I liked my brief stay at this place. Verh friendly staff and folks.
- Tianjian (6/5): - Room is clean, and living condition is normal. However, during my stay, two toilets were broken.
- Graham (10/5): - My only complaint about this excellent hostel is that there are not enough electrical outlets in the dorm rooms. The breakfast offering was great and even included eggs for clients to cook for themselves. The mints at the front desk were exc lent, and Alejandro is a wonderfully friendly host!
- Karoline (10/5): Exceptional - We were upgraded to a bigger room for free and was given the best advice to go to restaurant Bariachi instead of plaza de los mariachi which was amazing. Seriously do that. Also the breakfast was super good. Thank you. We would definitely stay here again 👏
- Daniel Alejandro (10/5): - Recommended
- Aaron (8/5): - Lucy was very helpful and an awesome host. The area seemed generally safe to me, but make sure to use standard precautions and be aware of your surroundings anywhere in the city.
- Masa (10/5): We recommend this place - Place was amazing, big room and the owner was really helpful. Breakfast basic, but ok.
- Thomas (5/5): Passable - good location. helpful receptionist. nice patio and rooftop. the room wasn't very clean. bathroom was moldy and smelly. curtains didn't help to darken the room.
- Ben (9/5): Great for solo travellers - Location is excellent, 10 mins walk to the Catedral/Centro. Lucy is such a kind & helpful receptionist, and the bedroom is good value for money. The only thing that could be improved is the breakfast, however it was still perfectly fine.
- Nikki (9/5): Great little BNB close to downtown, hidden gem - The staff for women inviting, I really enjoyed the common areas it felt like I was in a living room at my family home. I enjoyed chatting with fellow guests and really appreciated the inexpensive and large room! The shower was not really working well and water went all over the floor.
- Lee (8/5): Very good - Good reception easy check in.
Comfortable breakfast room
Adequate breakfast Washing up our dishes.
- Patricia (10/5): Good location, but best hospitality - I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. Location is good, a few blocks to the main avenue. The room is comfortable. There is a big living room and a huge kitchen to prepare meals. But most importantly, the hospitality of the owner, Ms. Lucy, was the best. She took care of arranging a tour and even at taxi at 6am for me. And the environment was very warm and welcoming.
- Peta (8/5): Quiet hostel for relaxing - Lovely low key hostel. Nice spacious kitchen, free drinking water and a variety of comfortable common areas to relax. Easy walk to many of the city icons. No social atmosphere if you are looking to meet people. The shared dorm room has a lot of beds in it! Fortunately, only 5 of the 16 were occupied in my stay, otherwise it would be very crowded and stuffy.
- Kevin (8/5): Very good -
- Takhir (7/5): Good - The host Lucy was very helpful and friendly. The location isn't bad, but you need to walk a few blocks to reach anything. Our room had a lot of natural light. The shared-use kitchen was useful. The B&B clearly needs some renovation and has seen better days. There were markings on the walls, on the bathroom ceiling, signs of wear and tear. Our room was missing some basic furniture, like bedstands or night lights. Both furniture in the room, as well as the shower and the sink could have been cleaned a little more. It wasn't cosy. The water in the shower took the full 3-4 minutes to warm up, and it was warming up very slowly, so by the time it's actually hot I'd finish showering
- Michael (10/5): Good location and value for money. Helpful host - Good location, helpful host, good value for money Nothing
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Michele (8/5): Very good choice for a budget minded traveller. - Breakfast was included in the price and it was adequate. Appreciated in having a living room, kitchen, and dining room. Drinking water was available. Hostal was always clean and the manager (Lucy) always available to answer questions or provide assistance. Bathroom was always clean, but had a sewer smell. Also, it seemed that Lucy worked constantly. Likely it would be useful for her to have some relief. I stayed 8 (?) days and never saw her have any time off.
- Harriet (10/5): Brilliant host and comfy, clean rooms - Lucy was the best host. She really went out of her way to make us feel welcome.
The room itself was also great - large, clean and comfortable. It also had lots of little touches that many places at this price point miss eg bit water bottle fountains in the communal areas.

- Michele (8/5): Decent stay, close to the center, but not tooo close! - People who stayed in the hostal. It was also kept clean. It seemed that the manager was alone in making sure all was taken care of in the hostel. She did a very good job, but I think the owners should get her some assistance. Hard to be on call all the time
