• Gayle (10/5): We had a great time and would stay there again and recommend to others - We weren't offered any meals but we did have family in fully equipped cabins so could make our own. We only seen one staff member early on our first morning and another on our checkout day. Our room was not serviced but we supplied our own toilet paper so all was fine We found the bed in motel room 10 very hard, but that may be a personal preference.

Parking right next to unit. Only grioe was there was just 1 black tea bag so I had to make it stretch to three cups. Also a little on the expensive side. Also appreciated that breakfast was provided. As above re tea bags. TV reception was pretty poor. A number of channels came up "no reception". But did have YouTube!

We also enjoyed the common dining/bbq area which allowed us to stay home in the evenings. A hand held shower. The bathroom was lovely but the shower stall was pretty small and the low flow of water made it difficult to rinse all the bits and pieces, haha!

• John (9/5): Great location and comfortable stay - This is a great location to explore Currie and the whole of King Island. The check-in and out procedure was efficient if a little impersonal, the house was comfortable and well appointed. As an extra bonus on Easter Sunday, a bag full of chocolate goodies was left in our room. Would recommend this as a great place to stay, particularly for families. A dishwasher would have been a great addition to the otherwise well appointed kitchen. It would have been great to meet some staff if only to get a better idea of things to do and places to visit.

Couch ordinary (cheap) & too small to sleep on. Not that nice outside. Just a chair & what seemed to be a container for cigarette butts. Not private. Uninviting. Not sure what checkout time was but 10am most places however the cleaners were telling us we had to be out so they could clean earlier than that.

Room was next to BBQ/eating area so a little noisy, check out time is 9am - not 10am, hanging art work was crooked on the wall, but most definitely many more positives than negatives and this will be my first preference on the island now!

• John (6/5): Underwhelming as a first time visitor to King Island and the motel. - Location was good in the context of the town and the island. Breakfast provisions were adequate and no more/less than expected. The room was clean and relatively comfortable. As a first time visitor to the island we are yet to meet the owner/manager as everything was contactless so there was no welcome and opportunity to find out some of the things to do or see i.e. recommendations. Notwithstanding the island location, the motel is at best fair value for money but overpriced relative to mainland similar type motels.

I asked for a late check out and was told “there’s not a hope in hell”. manager said that someone was checking in at 10am. we drove past 3 times after checking out and the chalet seemed empty each time.
