- Anjela (10/5): Home away from home - I loved the overall ambiance. Even if it was a public resort, it does not feel like it with how cozy it was and it was not crowded. It still felt like a private and intimate getaway with my lovedones. Will definitely book again and recommend it to our friends and family. - Mostafa (4/5): Disappointed - Nothing special in the place -The resort’s pictures are misleading and do not accurately reflect the actual condition of the property, Has no view and at pictures showing another view which is not real. -The resort is not suitable for elderly guests or persons with disabilities. There are many steep stairs, which can be very tiring, and there is no elevator due to the mountain structure of the property. -The food in the hotel restaurant is overpriced, with limited menu options and very little variety. -Parking is very limited. Street parking is available in front of the hotel, and the internal parking operates on a first-come, first-served basis. -I stayed in Room #212, and it was very noisy. Staff were roaming around early in the morning with little regard for guest privacy and quiet hours. -The room is not soundproof. I could clearly hear the TV from the neighboring room, as well as normal sounds like sneezing. -The passages leading to the rooms are very narrow and uncomfortable.

We had to request multiple times, I was even answered the first time that they really don't provide such. There wasn't even a place in the bathroom to place dry stuff like towel or clothings. In booking.com it says they have 3 double beds and 1 full bed for a family rm. It was just 3 single beds and 1 full in reality.

- Paul (8/5): A “mountain” oasis. It’s a very lovely place at a reasonable price. - Three pools to choose from were lovely. The place was very clean and a lot of care is put into maintaining the plants and foliage around. It’s really well done. There are several places to eat or drink away from the main restaurant if you just wanted to be alone. The food is good with lots of options. Clean drinking water is available to you at any time. You can fill up your bottles as often as you like. You can walk into town if you’d like to see the Cathedral or take a trike or Grab. It’s not too far from Manila airport. We chose this one as we were going to a wedding outside of Antipolo and our kids were coming in from the airport to join us. We actually were here for a few nights prior to their arrival and the staff made sure we did not have to change rooms for the next booking.The kids were tired and jet lagged and this was a perfect spot for them to reset. They loved the lower pool. There are a lot of stairs. A lot! But I will say that the staff is very good about helping you with your bags and carrying them up for you. The place is built on a hillside and you have to get up to see the view. If you have a mobility problem, this is not the place for you, no elevator. A lot of things on the menu are “Unavailable” and it changes from day to day. Trike drivers seem to have difficulty finding the place. I’m not sure how that could be improved upon.

Awesome staff! When it got busy at the resort our room didn't get cleaned in the allotted time, but staff reached out when they saw us walking by and apologized while offering to clean then and there.

- Bayer (10/5): Exceptional - We always love being here. Our stay is always fun, relaxing, given the tranquility and amenities of the property. The staff are nothing short of amazing and accommodating. Whenever we need a quick retreat, Alta Roca is our go to. I think the only thing we don't like is the menu in the restaurant, which is a bit pricey, in case you just want to dine in.
- Cars (3/5): Stairway to an okay stay - - Really good quality beds, linen and pillows. 5 stars. - Good value for money - Good location if you have a car - Staff are generally friendly and helpful (Thank you Kuya JM for being so maasikaso) - Food was good (We particularly liked their sisig, pasta and fried chicken) - They have free-flowing coffee and tea for restaurant customers - Nice gazebos and outdoor environment - We arrived for check in at past 8pm, which was communicated when I booked. I only got a vague "we will see if we can accommodate your request" response which kept me anxious. Even when I reached out via Viber or booking.com msg, there was no personal response. - The entrance to the resort is a stairway, which wasn't a pleasant welcome after a long day of travelling. Going up to the rooms? Even more stairs. Upon arriving at our assigned building? Even more stairs. - We booked a family room for 5, and despite that we were only given ONE KEY CARD for the duration of the stay. Even when reasoning with the front desk person, she wouldn't accommodate our request for at least two. This seemed like a dumb rule especially since we were a group of people who wouldn't be doing everything all together?? The front desk lady could have approached the situation with more logic. This policy should be reviewed as it seems stupid. - Our originally assigned room had no more soap and shampoo— disappointing since we arrived so late already. Original room also had a weak flush. Good thing they were able to re-assign us easily. - We booked this hotel to be near to a wedding we were attending. When we got back at 4am, our key cards DID NOT WORK. Hassle to be going down to the reception and back up to our rooms when we were so tired. - A LOT OF STEPS - No assigned/secure parking - The loft room isn't up to building code, with a low headroom that my brother needs be mindful of his head at the loft areas. - A lot of cockroaches at night in the hallway. - Weak wifi. - AC is under powered for the loft rooms. - We found out from another guest that is staying that there was an alternative entrance which was closer to our rooms. :|

The area around the hotel is primarily shanties and poor, there are many animals (ie dogs). The rooms are much smaller in reality (our sons heads almost hit the ceiling in the shower).

- Hernani (6/5): Looks are decieving.. - No elevators and our room was at the top (lol), stair corridor is so thin :-), i do feel sorry for the staff that carries the luggages. We booked for a week and still have to remind staff that we need to refill mineral water, coffee and other must have in our room. Everything cost, example if you order food outside the hotel you have to pay for a fee because they want you to order in the hotel restaurant. But they dont have the things i want. Looks of the hotel really is decieving.

The aircon's lowest temperature is not enough to cool the whole room especially the 2nd floor since some beds are on the 2nd floor. Can't even use the TV since it only relies on the internet and we cannot access the internet inside the room.

There's not enough safety rails on the steps going up and down the area. 2. Rooms are not refreshed daily. 3. Only one card key was provided for the room with three adults. 4. Very limited parking for residents. 5. Stray cats are roaming around the dining area and, at times, jumping onto the dining table. 6. There were no hand and face towels provided in the room.

- Eliza (9/5): Classy and relaxing resort with friendly personnel - Our group booked this resort for our teambuilding activity since it is near the office and at the same time far away enough to be able to relax. The resort is clean, has three swimming pools with varying depths and cabanas to sit down and rest. We like the layout of the swimming pools and the cabanas which made the resort look classy. The swimming pools were also frequently cleaned by the staff. The manager and all the staff were accommodating with our requests, engaging and friendly. The resort is conveniently located near Antipolo Cathedral and Robinsons Antipolo (shopping mall). It is also near restaurants with overlooking views of the city. Our room (for five people) has loft area but the airconditioning did not quite reach the loft which made it warmer compared to the rest of the room. There are also no seats inside the room. We found the corkage fee for bringing in food and drinks is on the expensive side.

There is also a lot of stray cats inside the property surrounding you most especially when you eat. Very unsafe. Room is clean but bed is like sleeping on hardwood floor, very hard. Bathroom is clean.

The room is clean, however beware you will get charged for stained sheet and towels. We were charged as “treatment fee” for the dirty bed sheets. They have must disclosed this when we arrived since they know that we have a toddler with us. we have stayed in countless hotels and have never heard of one charging for dirty fittings. I feel like chocolate should be able to come out pretty easily with a quick wash? seems a bit ridiculous. There was a Corkage fee for 1000 (this was not disclosed during our booking) Breakfast is not a buffet, please check carefully before booking. No water heater in the rooms. We booked Dorm A and room 401, basically you will feel like you are in a training than relaxing. It was a hike specially going to room 401. Beware if you don’t like stairs! and one gay (resort attendant) had told me that’s better for me to walk in the stairs to get slim. My husband got offended.

- Christine (5/5): The place was really nice and well curated - although there are a lot of property rules that really doesn’t make sense e - The resort is clean and we appreciate the modern aesthetics of the resort. Good for photo ops. We booked 3 family rooms for our family reunion - we ended up not filling all the rooms since 5 of our family members fell sick. We were shocked upon arriving that there are corkage fee (1,000php for each dish) - during the booking confirmation and exchange of emails with them this was not disclosed. The Q&A section was not updated and they have changed regulations with bringing outside foods and drinks. They turn off lights at a certain time and close the pools at 10pm. So if you’re planning for an overnight swimming with family, this resort is not the ideal place to be. My fault here I haven’t read all their rules before booking. The owner was always lurking around and walking around the property - you can sense from the staffs they’re terrified and doesn’t have freedom to take any initiatives and client rapport - this is super put of character for our kababayans. Sad my husband who is first time visiting in the Philippines has to experience it. We were charged 200-400php for the “dirty” towels - again we haven’t expected this we have stayed in a lot of hotels in different parts of the world and this was the first time we were charged for the “special laundry” of the towels. Again this was not disclosed during booking, we were just informed when we arrived. The breakfast was not a buffet so please be reminded on this - it is à la carte and you have to let the reception know the afternoon like 6pm the day before what you will have for breakfast (again this was not disclosed during booking, we were just informed when we arrived) - which is kind of out of character of every hotel/resort we stayed at. Basically feels like a military training camp than a relaxing resort. Also be informed that the place is in the mountains as per its name, so be prepared to lots of upward stairs. I’m not sure if they offer any assistance or other route to handicaps and elderly people.
- Mar (5/5): all of the staff from security, to room attendant to reception are superb! but the rooms needs to be renovated especiall - the staff. very polite. excellent customer service the property doesnt have airconditioning. the fridge doesnt work. we had to ask the nice room attendant for a fan.

- Hipolito (9/5): Well recommended getaway from hot Metro weather - Walking distance from Hinulugang TakTak. Reasonably priced stay for a group of 5. I like the swimming pools, all 3 of them were clean. Our stay included breakfast which were good as well. Our room is comfy and just enough size for all of us. Overall, the resort is clean and highly maintained. Not PWD friendly.

- Ian (4/5): A dishonest hotel with big management problems. - This was one of the most disappointing experiences encountered. We booked a high quality room for a family of four, but when we got there they stuck us into a really small room. After double checking with our online reservation the manager told us that they had double booked the room!!!! They showed us another room which was unsatisfactory and we finally compromised on two decent rooms. The biggest problem I have about this is that they didn’t tell us about their mistake and just dumped us into a crappy room thinking we wouldn’t say anything. And even though the rooms we finally got were decent, they still needed a good clean and the air con was constantly on and couldn’t be switched off. Also, they didn’t tell us a wedding would be taking place and so at 3 o’clock in the morning we were awoken by the noise of the wedding organisers. It’s a shame, because the resort had potential to be great; there were four outdoor pools, decent food and a nice view. The management and service made the place a big let down. A bit of honesty goes a long way.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Old Resort, needs to be restored - The place is a little bit run-down, they need to upgrade and renovate it. Pool were not clear so I am guessing it is not being cleaned regularly. We are situated at the fourth floor and there were a lot of steps to take to get to our room. It's tiring specially when you were with kids. I did asked for a room near the floor so that we don't have to climb up the stairs every now and then but unfortunately, request was not granted. Their service is ok. Some staffs and guards are very accommodating. Food was just ok, the coffee was too bland.
