Guest Reviews
- James (10/5): - Thanks again for the wonderful stay ,and friendly staff and clean room, see you again,😊
- James (10/5): - Nice spacious rooms,nice soft bed
- Janet (10/5): - Easy check in and out. Staff are friendly and easy to approach. Recommended as cheap and decent place to stay when you're on a budget!
- James (6/5): Budget - Nothing spectacular, a place to put your head down at night. Water pressure is weak, construction is going on beside the hotel so some rooms are noisy.
- james (6/5): Cheap it is - Okay so this hotel affordable but let's just say that the staff does. It might have the standard of America's motel. 8. Some of the major drawbacks with the hotel is we can make reservations but they don't turn to AC on in your room or you get there so it's pretty hot. All of your electronics or electrical is unplugged and if you don't tell the staff to plug it in, they're not going to offer. Front desk is what an English but rest of the staff is hit or miss. I stayed in the hotel three days and then I went to a difficult hotel to love. The major issue is there is construction going on behind and beside the hotel so certain rooms are right next to hardcore construction which is very annoying.
- Ridder (4/5): - Terrible rating because underneath the mattress, there is not a box spring. Instead of a box spring, there is a solid wood plate which makes the mattress surface extremily firm. In the morning, I got a backpain from sleeping on the hard surface. When I complaint, the receptionist called the manager. The manager when missing and did not address the issue. We could not get in touch with her anymore. Underneath the bed there is spider town, when I came into the room nect day, there was a spider on the mattress on holidays resting.
- jose (10/5): - The staff was friendly and ready to help.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Spacious rooms. Walking distance to bars/restaurants.
- Lloyd (8/5): Great room for the price - The room was beautiful but only problem I had was toilet had no pressure and shower had no hot water...other than that I thought it was worth more than what I paid...the staff was very polite amd helped me get a ride to manila AP with no problem.
- Paul R (10/5): Down in Kokomos Malibanas..🙄 - Kokomos is a good quiet place, the cleaning service could be better,I was there a week and did not clean, the in house room for ordering dinner is really good, generous size meals
- joseph (8/5): not a bad place - not a bad place for price
- Jacoby (10/5): A gem for a great price - Very very nice, a little off the main drag, but still within walking distance
- roland (8/5): - Location was quiet and near money changers and restaurants. Easy access to walking street or SM City Mall. No pool , no restaurant but order in from main kokomos is available.
- michael (2/5): Stay away - No effort made to minimize the noise from building site a joining. The noise started at 7.30am.many check out. It is likely to last another year. No apologies they are working right up to room window
- Chip (6/5): Review my stay hotel - Staff friendly. Small problem in checking In, due to computer problems. Location is terrible. Too far from main road..do not feel safe..walking to and from hotel. Noise day and night due to construction next door.
- Gary (6/5): Kokosweet - Staff was great. However, construction next door made water shut off multiple times a day with no notice or schedule. Very inconvenient. And while I recognize it’s not the hotels fault, not being able to shower or flush toilet multiple times was unacceptable.
- Cetin (6/5): - The hotel was below average...
Good location but not a good hotel
- Cetin (10/5): - A good hotel not to far from sm mall. And also close to walking street
- Martin (2/5): - I have Stayed before and the rooms have been refurbished a nice improvement. However on this occasion there were issues. No water for showering no toilet flusing the room smelt bad all day no cable tv one day for down time not barely enough compensation i was in a contract with Expedia I couldn’t get out off
- Kevin (2/5): Water supply problems. - After check in I noticed that the water in my room was a yellow colour, the staff told me that this was due to the construction next door. A couple of days later the water was shut off without notice. Water could not be restored that evening so I was relocated to the main Kokomos Hotel into a dingy little room full of mould. Stayed there a couple of days and was told that I would have to move again to a room above the bar, I was then advised that water had been restored to Kokomos Suites Hotel so I returned. Water was more yellow than ever and it was turned off periodically without warning because apparently they needed to fill their water tank. The receptionist did her best to explain the situation saying that their water supply problem was caused by the construction next door. It seems like the hotel does not have city water service and relies on pumping the yellow water from a well which the construction was affecting. I'm not sure how reliable the explanation for the water problem was but I do know that it is not acceptable to supply unsafe water to your guests and to cut water supply constantly with no notice. The owner was nowhere to be seen and it seems like he doesn't care about his guests. I cancelled my next booking with them because I do not want to shower in disgusting yellow water and I am not confident that this issue will be resolved any time soon.
- KAREM (10/5): - Friendly staff, very quiet and private, good wifi, good cable TV. That's why I keep coming back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - great stay.....no problems
quiet and clean.....nice staff
- Verified traveler (8/5): Angeles 18/4/18 - Had a good stay there, i really like a fan instead of Aircon & nice big room wiyh a lot of TV stations
- Verified traveler (8/5): Perfect for reason you're there - Location is perfect for walking street. Never had security concerns. Restaurant that is there is ok. No complaints but not outstanding either. Only complaint is housekeeping being loud outside the door early in the morning.
- cecil (8/5): - Your staff was knowledgeable and professional.
They were also very friendly, thank you.
- Erwin (8/5): - hotel room was spacious and complete with appliances like TV, refrigerator, microwave etc. staff are courteous and helpful.
- Elias (4/5): Has gone downhill fast - I stayed at this hotel in November 2015 and I had enjoyed my stay. Fast forward two years later and I had a very different experience. I stayed in a Deluxe room on the first floor.
The main problems were:
* Really lousy wifi. I took speed tests ranging from 100 to 400 kbps. Sometimes the connection would die completely. I repeatedly informed the front desk, they reset the router but no improvement. There is one router per floor, a major upgrade should be done.
* Noisy. The window doesn't close completely (the view was some trash and the building wall next door), plus noises can clearly be heard from the corridor and other rooms.
* Lousy shower water pressure.
* The rooms need disinfection at this point, not just a good cleaning. It's an old building, there are some corners in the room and the bathroom that look disgusting.
The plus points are the pleasant and eager cleaning and reception staff, but there's only so much they can do. I think the owners need to overhaul the entire place.
The only other pluses are the location (about a 5 min walk to Fields and a 15 min walk to SM Clark) and the bed which was spacious and comfortable.
- Jeffrey (6/5): Solid, basic hotel - This is a pretty middle-of-the-road hotel. Nothing special, but a good location close to Fields/Perimeter and with lots of stuff around (7-11, laundry, restaurants, JJ's Store) to make your say "okay". It's quiet overall, my room was large, but the hotel itself is a bit worn and could use a make-over. Small kitchenette in room was handy if you I wanted to cook v. eat out. Well-stocked, but expensive mini-bar. Better to buy your drinks at JJ's up on Fields. It's less than a 5 minute walk and you will save a lot of pesos over the hotel mini-bar charges. This is also handy for the Mini Stop and the jeep terminal (to get up and down Perimeter) and is about a 5 minute walk (I have long legs) to the entrance of Walking Street. A good value for the money if you want a quiet, basic place to stay. Staff are friendly and are willing to help and/or address any issues. Had a problem with the t.v. but the desk staff was "on it" and replaced the remotes and reprogrammed the t.v. to get it working. Aircon works and my room had a ceiling fan over the bed - a big plus in my book! I would recommend this hotel if you wanted to keep on a budget, have a quiet place to stay and yet still be close to Fields/Perimeter and Walking Street.
- Donald (8/5): Kokomos Suites - Well located, comfortable, clean and customer service has improved. Would stay again.
- Edmund A (8/5): nice big room with full kitchenette - good value for the money paid
- Ron (6/5): Older but nice apartments. - This was the third time I stayed at Kokomos Suites and the rooms are older with a kitchen and microwave. They are very comfortable because you feel like you are in your own apartment rather than a hotel room. The wifi is excellent and the front desk staff is very friendly and generally service oriented. There is no daily housekeeping. After 6 days with no cleaning I asked that the room be cleaned and it promptly was. And after that the front desk would ask every 3 or 4 days if I wanted cleaning. Because the building is older some of the amenities are nearing the end of their serviceable life. For example, I was in an upstairs room and the air conditioning unit could not keep the room really cool when the outside temperature was greater than 30 degrees Celsius. The unit put out cold air but not very much of it. However, the rooms are still generally very serviceable and being able to cook is a nice advantage. I would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): close to the amenities that i was seeking - very safe and really enjoyable wish they had a cafe on site
- scott (8/5): Good for the price. - Was happy with the location to walking street and the mall overall I would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Poor location poor staff - Overall not satisfied with stay the staff was poorly organized poorly trained and lack professionalism. Would not recommend staying at this hotel there are many very nice and better organized hotels near Fields Avenue. Very often people that are not working at the hotel are sitting in the lobby I do not feel safe at this hotel.
- Geoffrey (8/5): Kokomos suites Easter 2017 - It's an old hotel but it is very clean, it has aircon & fan, 26sqm room comfy, TV flat screen had a lot of channels, kettle, microwave, the staff are very good, i would stay there again, location is a bit off the main road but the street well lit, seven/eleven shop close, you can also order meals from Kokomos restaurant which is very good
- Verified traveler (8/5): Close to nightlife - Good location.cheap but only letdown for me was no hot water for shower
- Verified traveler (8/5): good for price - room good but too much furnture
- raff (8/5): clean hotel close enough for us - staff were exceptional, room was big, internet worked well and the location was ideal.
- Jocelyn (6/5): Worth the money - Hôtel meet the expectation, little old but we'll maintain, spacious room, nice staff
- Ron (8/5): The rooms are like studio apartments. - This was my second time at Kokomos Suites this year and I stayed for three and a half weeks. The rooms have a refri and microwave and some cooking utensils. They are extremely comfortable and are very quiet. The wifi was ok but a little weaker on the second floor than it was on the first floor. The only criticism I have is that the front desk staff, unlike the first time I stayed there, did not ask if I wanted the room cleaned. I even talked to the front desk about cleaning just twice a week but that was not followed up on. So I asked for a cleaning when the room needed it and they cleaned the room, but the initiative was all mine. Regardless, the rooms are extremely comfortable, quiet and very centrally located. I would recommend Kokomos Suites and return.
- Charbie (8/5): Great place for the price - Room was a bit old, but it was spacious and the hotel staff were nice.
- Des (8/5): Affordable price to stay for your vacation - The executive room is big and comfortable, recommended for couples and families for vacation. Hotel staff is nice. The only problem is toilet require multiple flushing.
- Verified traveler (6/5): 3 star, good value - Room itself well airconditioned. Has in room safe.
Bathroom old and dated
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hotel staff is not good - Hotel staff offered very poor service only looking to charge you for things that should be free. The front desk is the only negative with this nice clean hotel.
- Marcus (10/5): Great price & location - Big apartment, reception staff super helpful, top notch location
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice clean room with plenty of space. In a quieter location but still very close to all the action. Staff is very
accommodating and pleasant.
Excellent wifi, NO bugs, great Air Con and free drink coupons to various bars near Walking Street.
- Verified traveler (8/5): It was pleasant stay and close to many amenities. - Very pleasant staff and support (e.g., lending umbrellas as it rained daily, etc.), close to market and food court.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Decent budget rooms. - Weak, luke warm shower. Overpriced mini bar. Nice big rooms.
- Vincent (10/5): One of the best. - I sure come back again. All is perfect. I recommend. One of the best place.
- d (10/5): It is a nice-ish hotel near fields. - Don't let google maps deceive you, this hotel is CLOSE to fields ave and easily walkable daily/nightly. Very accommodating hotel for reasonable prices. It is more of an apartment than a hotel and was usually very quiet at night. Aircon worked great! Lighting in the room was hit and miss but for the price, you can't beat it!
