- Chris (10/5): - Absolutely spotless room ..looked like it was recently refurbished..staff were exceptional in helping anyway they could..100percent recommend...could have stayed longer if I needed ..𤣠Nothing at all
- Charlton (9/5): - The central location and the staff are brilliant.
- Jackie (8/5): - Location In the drawer there was an old babies bottle that had green contents.
Also there was a plate there.
- Mark (8/5): Comfortable stay - The position right in the middle of main street through Atherstone. Ideal location to explore the local area
- angela (3/5): noisy shouting door banging loud music blaring from cars in carpark - room was ok , but noises from neighbouring room were loud banging ,shouting ,we were moved on request but not a great deal better slamming doors music blaring from car in car park
- John (6/5): Adequate. - Good location for my needs The food was very standard. Had the fish and chips, not good.
- Jan-Christopher (9/5): -
- Julie (7/5): - Lovely place, good atmosphere, parking, nice room, warm and clean, quality towels bedding etc hood selection for hot drinks, pleasant staff Bit noisy in the evening, music. Bed bit lumpy, only just enough hot water for a shallow bath
- hannah (9/5): Pleasant - Location and staff That we could not access the property after midnight
- Clive (9/5): -
- Ashley (10/5): -
- Pollyanna 5 (8/5): Bit disappointed - The room was clean and spacious. There was parking available at the rear of the property. All the staff were very polite and friendly. The hotel is situated on the main street near all the facilities. Unfortunately our mattress was uncomfortable as the springs were old it definitely needed replacing. There was a small heater in the room that wasn't sufficient to heat the room properly. There was quite alot of noise within the hotel with doors banging in the night and early morning.
- Tracy (9/5): -
- Mark (8/5): - Lovely clean room

- Stephen (10/5): -
- Sally (10/5): -
- Peter Bryce (7/5): - It was central for my work purposes. Room was cramped.
- Melanie (4/5): OK, convenient location - Staff always helpful and polite. Limited car parking, there was an event which meant the car park was full on arrival. It was crowded with people when i was trying to get to reception and hard to get through with bags/dogs, etc.
The room was very small and the carpet was stained. The window looked out onto rooves, not very nice. The music from downstairs was loud in my room.
- Kerry (8/5): As expected, not disappointed - Have stayed several times previously so knew the hotel and location to the event. Parked in public car park a few minutes away as I knew from previous experience the car park is small. Everyone entering or exiting the hotel stood right outside our bedroom door taking very loudly and had dogs growling through the door. At one point, after 10pm, I opened the door and made the people aware it was a bedroom. They kept talking and dog kept growling. I was staying with my dog and my 9yr old daughter. I have previous stayed with multiple dogs in the one room and have always been considerate of other people staying in the hotel.

- Kathryn Tindall (9/5): Very comfortable, will book here again as very good and convenient for my business needs - Excellent service from the receptionist Rian, thank you. He made us feel welcome and booked us a taxi for the next morning, coming to tell us over dinner it was booked and where it would pick us up.
Dinner was hot and delicious. The barman was clearly new and training and Rian came over after we had got our drinks to thank us for being patient with him.
The rooms were small, but comfortable and very clean.
Breakfast was cooked to order and well presented with quality products. Nothing

- Rosemarie (8/5): Overall a good pleasant hotel despite a couple of issues would go back. - Room ample size, mother & adult daughter booked a triple room, stayed for sisters 60th birthday party being held in hotel. Liked that rooms are named like suites. Was warned there was a party booked for that evening by reception on our arrival, we said yes weāre going lol, reception expected it to last until about 1am but we were finished by 11. Parking, atrocious not enough spaces and very limited disabled spaces, no lift only stairs awkward shapes, very narrow corridors. Toilet didnāt flush in morning. Music could be heard and felt through floor during day, hours before party due to start.
- Mark (2/5): Memorable for the wrong reasons - Staff were friendly When we arrived the hotel didn't have our booking, as it didn't work via booking .com, so our rooms wasn't reserved. They had to cancel the booking when they eventually found it and book us in to the premises adjacent which were cheaper rooms, then told me I had to sort out the refund myself, which I haven't done as I am too busy at work at the moment. None of this was my fault so why I have to spend time to recover these costs is beyond me!
Not only this but the room smelled of drains and had clearly not been used very often, the beds were uncomfortable and a couple were arguing all night in the stair well that disturbed me sleep, apart from that it was ok!
- Jan (8/5): A very good hotel offering excellent value for money, and I would heartily recommend it. - We had a small, but spotlessly clean room with an extremely comfy bed. For the price, it was absolutely fine, so I have nothing negative to say.
- Tony (10/5): Lovely place to stay - if you can find your room! - Car parking was a little tight but I did manage to squeeze into the last available space. Parking is a huge bonus. The signs indicating the way to rooms in the annexe are terrible - some of our party had a lot of trouble finding their rooms as a result.
- Robert (10/5): Five star - Breakfast and all meals lovely couldnāt find anything wrong any where including the room all staff fantastic couldnāt do anymore for you šš Nothing could be better everything was great
- Roger (6/5): Great staff, bland atmosphere - Lovely staff. Clean rooms and hotel
Sympathetic building extension
Staff were alert but not in your face. Pleasant, professional and helpful
The hotel should be rightfully proud of their staff performance and attitude For a former coaching inn all the character had been lost in the beige bland decoration etc. could have been anywhere or modern build. However I guess most income comes as a wedding venue and many donāt want the building trumping the bride
Range of beers was meh. The dinner menu was uninspiring. Breakfast was so-so and the coffee weak
No soap in bathroom
However Iād go back again if in the area, being as the basics were good just the atmosphere and delighters were missing - which is a shame
- Tui (8/5): A convenient and clean hotel with helpful staff. Carpets could do with deep cleaning or replacing. - Geographical convenience. Mattresses thin - value mattresses.
- stephen (10/5): great - ambience,staff, food....just good.we are returning in September !!
- David (2/5): -
- kaylee (7/5): -
- Jennifer (8/5): -
- Isabella (7/5): - The hotel is very central and the staff were friendly. In my opinion it was very expensive for what it was, and it could have been a lot cleaner
- mike (8/5): - The room was clean and comfortable with everything you need for a short stay.
- Hayley (10/5): -
- William (10/5): Right environment for a family get together - Right environment for family get together. Food, staff, rooms were exceptional - they went further than expected. Good time had by all š¤©
- Neil (6/5): -
- Paul (9/5): Another great stay at the Red Lion - Great location, friendly staff, dog friendly, clean rooms , free onsite parking
- Janine (10/5): Stunning and super Christmas vibes x - Itās beautiful the Christmas vibe was beautiful our room was spotless and clean, warm and beds were so comfortable xššššš Nothing
- Joanne (9/5): -
- john (10/5): -
- Neil (9/5): - Nice comfortable beds , nice and quiet very handy for the high street shops and cafes. The excessive prices for food . In my opinion .
- Cheryl (4/5): Average hotel and noisy rooms - Nice bar area and in center of town Loud music directly under our room until midnight
- Joanne (10/5): - We received a very warm welcome o arrival. There are excellent parking facilities. The room was clean & comfortable, everything in the room you needed. We didn't eat here due to Christmas bookings, however there are plenty of places to eat. Overall excellent value for money. There wasn't anything not to like.
- William (10/5): Warm, friendly - just right for Family get together for Xmas. Highly recommended. - Bed was very comfortable, Rooms decoration was first class. Booked 4 rooms - 7 stayed - 4 from locality - Had a fantastic family bonding Xmas meal in a wonderfully decorated meeting room. Service and admin staff were wonderful. Breakfast was very varied for all tastes and very well cooked. Fun action around - quiet room as necessary for meeting and after meal. Atherstone was buzzing, local shops and pubs were active and friendly. What more to ask ...

- Adrian (9/5): Great location and friendly staff - Perfectly located for a ride into the NEC via lovely country road. Staff were fantastic and very helpful. Food in the evening and at breakfast was great and plenty of it. Definitely use this place again.
- Philip (9/5): - The way staff couldn't be more helpful always polite and checking if the guest are ok Not alot
- Neil (8/5): Very helpful friendly staff - Good location Clean and tidy
- kerry (8/5): Comfortable enough for an overnight stay but perhaps use different cleaning products. - Location was good, near to the venue we were attending a wedding at.
Breakfast was also substantial. We had three rooms for our party of 5.
Weād asked for a room with a walk in shower for my Mum and she was allocated a ground floor disabled access room quite far away from the other two rooms unfortunately.
The ground floor room smelled very heavily of bleach on arrival but we couldnāt open any of the windows (assume this was because they looked out on to the car park) We had to run the shower and leave the extractor fan on for a few hours but it didnāt really disappear and was overwhelmingly strong.
Iām not sure if irons should be in every room? There were ironing boards but no irons in any of our rooms which surprised the reception staff.
- thompson (8/5): -
- troy (10/5): -
- Mike (8/5): Great value hotel - Great value hotel The room was a little chilly but not freezing by any means.
- Adam (8/5): Very enjoyable stay -
- andrew (10/5): -
- Katharine (9/5): - It was quiet. Plenty for breakfast. My room door was difficult! I didn't realise that food stopped at 6pm on Sunday night, but I should have found that out.
- Jonathan (7/5): clean, comfortable , great location and value with lovely staff - great location
lovely staff
good value little bit dated but cosy
- Jill (9/5): A great stay in a clean and comfortable room - The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and included extras such as an iron and ironing board. Initially the hospitality tray didnāt have any milk but we were able to get some from reception
The furniture was quite old but still useable
- charles (8/5): -
- Steven (9/5): - The staff are very frendly and nothing was to much trouble the food was great from breakfast to dinner in the bar. The house keeping where very helpful in keeping my room clean and tidy
- Debra (8/5): -
- john (7/5): -
- Sally (8/5): Just what we needed for our one night stay - Great location, good parking

- Susan (10/5): -
- troy (10/5): -
- Emma (10/5): Absolutely the best place we have used, helpful staff and not a single negative! - Easy to find, really clean and airy, well lit and easy to move around.
- Samantha (10/5): - Staff were really friendly
The room was exactly what we needed, just a little bit too warm for us
