• Ross (10/5): - Charming, spotless, unique, apartment with stunning views in the heart of Fira. Luggage was happily stored whist we started to explore Santorini. A complementary drink at check-in, our own spa, 20% off at dinner and a packed breakfast due to an early departure were all appreciated. Staff were fantastic.
• Steve (10/5): - Amazing views, very comfortable, incredible personal service, outstanding breakfast each morning. Be prepared to walk up and down...everything in Santorini is hilly. Rhe view is second to none. Dimos is an amazing and friendly manager. My wife and I thoroughly relaxed and enjoyed our visit. They have an excellent restaurant right above the suites and lots of shopping. What a special property in a special place in the world. I highly recommend this.

The only issue is the stairs so talk to Minas about paying for a porter with the luggage. Custom breakfast brought to your door was the best way to wake up in the morning….and again with the view!!!

• Faina (2/5): - Terrible customer service, never responded to my request about transportation to arrive, have to carry own baggage with a lot of stairs and extremely hot weather. Even worse, they promised to send us somebody to help with our suitcases ( they charge for each one $15 euros) . We have earlier flight reception was closed. The worst part nobody showed up. My husband has to carry all suitcases ( we are not young people) !!! I travel a lot , newer had this issue before . Never wrote bad reviews even if the property wasn’t good. 😁

• Cath (10/5): - This was my third trip to Santorini and first stay at this property and it has certainly been the best of all my experiences. The staff are very friendly and helpful, Minos at front desk is helpful and knowledgeable and Dimos who cooks and serves breakfast to your room is great. The food was delicious and nothing was too much trouble for anyone there. The rooms are fabulous, the plunge pool is refreshing and has spectacular views of the Caldera. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a central location with fabulous views and excellent service. For those with accessibility issues, there are quite a few steps down to this hotel as with many on the island. We had large suitcases but the staff carried them to the bus depot for us for a reasonable fee which was well worth it!! Can’t say enough could things about this hotel, truly a memorable vacation :)

• Kho Kok (10/5): - This boutique hotel is in a prime location in Fira with its rooms having a marvellous sea view and the view of the caldera. Its restaurant which is above the rooms is top notch in service as well as offering a good range of Greek and European cuisine. Sunset dinners there has been a must for us (discount given for hotel guests). Our stay was made memorable by the excellent service provided by its staff especially Dimos who took care of our needs as well as serving us daily breakfast in our room. The climb of steps can be a real challenge especially for those with heavy luggage and for the elderly. This hotel is about 400m from the car drop-off point so I will suggest that one needs to make prior arrangements with the hotel if help is needed.

• Victoria (10/5): - WOW WOW WOW!! Thank you so much Stravoula, Anna, and Fanari Restaurant staff, Dimos, for making this the highlight of our honeymoon stay! This hotel provides a once in a life time luxury experience at a very reasonable price point. We recommend arranging a private taxi from the airport to the hotel, which includes a porter to help with our luggage, guide us to our cliff side paradise, and relax with a welcome drink. We will forever remember the panoramic caldera view of the magical sunset, small islands, and majestic cruises ships, as we leisurely enjoyed our patio with our private jacuzzi, and sun beds. We savoured the 5 star breakfast delivered to our room, laid out beautifully, with the custom omelette, fresh orange juice, fresh croissants, coffee/ cappuccinos, and the best Greek yogurt and honey that we’ve had. We will be sure to come back, and just spend at least a full day enjoying the room. The staff love what they do and make you feel like royalty. We loved the Fanari rooftop restaurant with the most breathtaking view of the sunset (avoid the Oia crowds), and we enjoyed the discount dining there too. Tip: the Anna junior suite was the most inner suite, so it was the most private and felt like our slice of heaven. There are stairs so you can go from the cliff side hotel to access the busy shopping area right away, 5-10 min from the food square, and the best lamb gyros in town. For 10 euros, the staff will help take care of a big bag of laundry too! Thank you again!!

The views were beautiful and everything you could hope for when staying in Santorini. The hotels restaurant was terrific and the location was perfectly center to the main attractions of Fira. • Ashlie (10/5): An oasis in an oasis - What can we say! Our stay at Fanari made our vacation the trip of a lifetime! The service from Dimos and Stavroula was first class. The room itself was beautiful. Bathroom and the shower were so fun. Like a cave! And then jacuzzi! Oh the jacuzzi. On our semi private patio. So lovely! Dimos took our breakfast order and delivered it to our caldera view patio every morning. The food was delicious. Omlettes, yogurt, croissants! Yummy! But the highlight was the sunset view. It was breathtaking and we didn’t get a sunset view like that anywhere else in Greece. The price, the service, the food, the room= worth every penny. Now for a warning for those with bad knees, backs, immobility issues: what makes the hotel so special is being on the cliff with the view of the caldera.. this means walking about 5 minutes up and down some cobble stone steps and roads to get to the hotel. If you call ahead, Dimos will help you with the bags! But I can see how for those with mobility issues, there might be some difficulty. I cant recommend this hotel enough. It was our oasis and we will be comparing everything else to it for now on!
• Alan (10/5): - Wow. Amazing stay. Gorgeous modern room with a private hot (great temperature) tub. Right in the heart of the best part of the best town (Fira) on the island! We watched the cable car and donkeys from our balcony that overlooked the caldera and all the boats, cruise ships and sunset (May). We did an afternoon trip to Oia which was wonderful. However, we loved getting back to our wonderful accommodation! The provided morning breakfast was sensational. Hot, delicious and plentiful! We let Dimos know that we were going to have our celebration anniversary dinner at the restaurant and we were treated like dear old friends with not one, but two choices of a reserved tables each in a perfect spot and service that was many times over-the-top par excellence! We haven’t felt this good about any dining experience we’ve had in many years! Thank you Dimos and to all the staff that made our stay sensational! The accommodation, restaurant, Fira town day and night was everything we hoped and dreamed it would be!

The restaurant for this hotel is also great and offers a discount but it fills up quick at sunset so definitely secure a spot early. The location is pretty central although there are a lot of stairs so keep that in mind. I would come here again in a heartbeat.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Best hotel in Fira - The Hotel was fantastic, with an incredible view and everything you need in Santorini. The room had a hot tub, which is a plus in early May, when the weather is still mild. But what made it really special was the people from the hotel, especially Dimos and Stavroula who both went above and beyond in terms of service and making you feel welcome. We had to leave early morning to catch our flight, and since we had to skip breakfast, Dimos left us two gigantic sandwiches the night before so we could eat something before reaching Athens. That's the kind of personal touch that is hard to find anywhere else.

• iwona (10/5): Wonderful stay! - Stayed here for three nights as part of a Greek island hopping itinerary. What a great choice. This little resort consists of 5 rooms and a massive restaurant on top. Our suite came with a hot tub overlooking the sea and Volcano. WOW! . Once in a life time view. Breakfast served on the patio from a made to order list. Delicious and authentic.room was restocked daily with water, coffeee and juice. Clients staying at the hotel get a 20% discount at the restaurant. Food was so good we had dinner there twice. On request the hotel made arrangements for pick up at the port for 40 euros. We were met by staff who carried the luggage to the room. LOTS of stairs in Fira and island of Santorini. The hotel is also located on top the the old port. This is where day excursions leave. You can walk down the stairs(600 of them) or take a donkey or gondola go dała up or down. Perfect location. We also took a bus back to the port for 2.50 euro per person. Station is a 10 minute walk and ride is 20 min. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Don’t think twice and book. You will not regret it. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so memorable.
• Elizabeth (10/5): Breathtaking suite - The Fanari Vista Suites far exceeded our expectations. The website photos were beautiful but the reality was breathtaking. Our hostess Stavroula was a joy and made our stay very easy and enjoyable. Our suite had its own hot tub on the balcony with the most spectacular views of the sea and volcano. The suites are also situated at the very start of the steps which lead down to the old port. You can take a boat trip from there and then take a cable car back up the cliff to the main town of Fira. The suites are right beside all the little pathways of the quaint arty shops and 5 minutes from the main road. Despite this proximity to everything, the suites and balcony are very serene and peaceful. Visitors are also given 20% off the Fanari restaurant on its doorstep which is very good and this makes it amazing value. Also, your choice of breakfast is brought to your own patio on a tray every morning! All in all, one remarkable experience.

But the staff is really exceptional. The maid is the most meticulous keeping the place clean of any hotel I have ever stayed at. Yassas!

• Dexter (10/5): Service is above and beyond! - I had missed the fact that the hotel is in a walking zone only area and that the hotel was on the face of a cliff. So from Pick up at the shuttle drop off till the return pick up, the service from Fanari was superb! The suite room with jacuzzi was awesome. It was actually a cave room that was modernized Greek style. An over all great place to be in the central town. walkable to everything. Would definitely recommend this place. Plus dining in the Fanari restaurant was made more affordable with a 20% off for guests staying with them. Food of course was great too.

From reception to restaurant experience, morning breakfast, luggage carrying, house cleaning and everything in between, this establishment is second to none and we will definitely be back. Very special mention goes to Dimos (you sir are a super human ❤️) as he was there every morning cooking/serving breakfast to our table overlooking the spectacular view, serving us in the restaurant for dinner till late, carrying our luggage and always with a smile on his face and good conversation to make our stay the best we've ever experienced. • Samuel (10/5): Perfect Fira Getaway - We are extremely happy we chose this location for our time in Santorini. The room was exceptionally clean, with new and highly functional appliances. We booked the junior suite and were pleasantly surprised by the size of the patio. The location was close to the bus terminal and the Fira shopping areas and the sunset view was stunning (particularly since our private patio allowed us to avoid the crowds). Our hosts went out of the way to take care of us and made sure that our trip was everything we wanted it to be. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Fira.

• Darren (10/5): - We stayed here in Oct. 2022. Property was amazing. Very small resort i think only 5 suites. Staff was amazing knew us by name, Mary at front desk was first class. By far the best location in Santorini. Our room (as well as the other 5) was right at the top of the famous stairs, with completely unobstructed views of the sea. Sit right in your hot tub having a beer and watching the cruise ships. Restaurant on property is amazing, food, service, and location directly on top of the resort with unbelievable views. You can walk out of your suite and everything from shopping, restaurants, pubs and rentals was right there. Would def. stay there again if going back.

Have stayed in Santorini in the past, and I recommend Fanari Vista Suites the most. The caldera view from the balcony (and the restaurant above, which the property provided a well worth discount), the beautiful room, the central location in Fira, and the fun hot tub are amazing. What made it most memorable was the staff. They truly are the most pleasant and friendliest I’ve met. They go above and beyond, and words can’t describe how excellent they’ve treated my wife and I. Dora and Sonny are superheroes in my book. They felt like family at the end of our trip. Fanari Vista Suites is a special place to stay and I will return here when I visit Santorini again.

• Frederic (10/5): - A wonderful hotel with a limited number of suites that allowed for the staff to get to know you by name. We were welcomed by the hotel manager, Dora, who escorted us to our suite that was two rooms that included a living room with a sofa, sweet and salty snacks, and two large bottles of cold spring water. She offered us each a glass of wine on the house which we accepted and she had promptly bought to our suite. The suite included our own veranda/patio area with two chairs and a small table and two lounge chairs for sunbathing with a breathtaking view of the bay and caldera with its islands. Plus, also on the veranda/patio area, our own jacuzzi. They also have a restaurant by the same name with a top-notch chef. Best to call the hotel to arrange transit that will bring to about 300 meters (1000 feet) to the hotel because they are right in the middle of the pedestrian area. But Dora sent a staff member ("Superman" Sonny) who helped us with our suitcases and escorted us to reception. Our stay was truly a wonderful five star experience.

The rooms are spacious and the private hot tubs are the best! The view over the caldera and the donkeys below make this the perfect hotel!
• Verified traveler (10/5): - the property has a great location with great views all around. The staff was excellent and very responsive. The suite was wonderful and kept very clean. We had a great time. The only thing to be aware of is the "donkey trail" is just below the suites and there are times the odor can be very strong and will bother you. The suites would be a 10 if not for the donkey trail being located just below.
• Adam (10/5): Look no further! - If you're looking at places to stay in Santorini, just go ahead and book this right now. The most gorgeous, breathtaking views I've ever experienced. No fighting through crowds to witness the infamous Santorini sunsets. Just a bottle of wine and your private balcony Jacuzzi to soak it all in. Stavroula was incredible-- she went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed to make the most of our stay. She even arranged a sunset cruise for us and handled all of the details so we could just show up and enjoy. The made-to-order breakfast every morning was absolutely wonderful. It was delivered between 9-10 am, so we had the chance to sleep in and still enjoy via our balcony each morning. Soni was also awesome--delivering our delicious meals complete with fresh oj and handmade cappuccinos promptly each day. To top it all off, our room was immaculately cleaned every day so when we returned for an afternoon siesta all was refreshed. The mini fridge was replenished daily with free waters, soda, and snacks, which made travelling throughout the day that much easier. The only cons I will say, which are not any fault of the hotel, is that it is located directly above the donkey station that takes tourists up and down the stairs to the port, so it can be a little smelly and noisy from time to time. Also not awesome that you're a little inundated by people from cruise ships multiple times a day, but such is the way of the island.
• James (10/5): - The place was perfect. We spent a whole week there and could not have enjoyed it more! The staff was very nice and helpful. Sonny the porter, carried our two fifty pound suitcases up and down so many stairs both on our arrival and on our 6:15 am departure. Such exceptional service. The views from our balcony could not be beat. The value of this place for what you get is unbelievable. You could spend so much more and not have more privacy or a better view! Location is close to everything and yet when you are on your balcony you feel like you are away from it all.

I did not want to leave the hotel, and did actually spend several mornings, days, and sunsets simply sitting on my terrace enjoying the incredible view. The location could simply not be beat. If I ever come back to Santorini I will be staying here again, no question. The staff was amazing, the food was amazing, everything about staying here made me feel like royalty. Absolutely perfect.
• robert (8/5): Both location and views! - I don’t like driving overseas- wrong side of the road AND the wrong side of the car is just too much stress when I’m supposed to be relaxing, and with a cocktail. This means I usually either have to forgo breath-taking views for breath-taking taxis bills, haven’t yet found a decent balance. However Fanari Vista Suites is perfect in that respect- centre of town but with a fantastic view of the Caldera. I don’t think the website photos do this place justice- it’s modern, gets a great amount of sunlight and is in the heart of Fira. A few things to clarify: -as it is Caldera-side, there’s no roads to the apartment. There’s cobbled streets and steps. However the hotel provided a porter for both arrival and departure so no drama there. -there’s a good amount of walking in general in Santorini to enjoy some of its best bits, I wish I’d been a bit more active in the months before to have made easier work of some of the walks! -the donkey station is directly below the apartments. That generates noise-mainly the bells and there is a faint aroma at times but nothing too off-putting. -there is a restaurant directly above (most of Fira has a bar or a restaurant either above or below) but there’s still good privacy If you want a get away from it all chill out pad where you’ll not see another human, this isn’t the place for you. However for comfortable, friendly accommodation with absolutely amazing views in the heart of a lively town then you can’t go wrong!
• Shawn (10/5): Beautiful, comfortable and private. - Amazing hotel! The views are incredible. You can get the amazing sunset view right from the patio (or from the hot tub) in front of the room, without fighting the crowds. With only 4 rooms, all having their own hot tub, this place felt super private and yet you're right off the main path to the Old Port. The beds were super comfortable, the mini fridge has 2 large complimentary bottles of water and 2 orange sodas daily. There is a coffee/tea station to start you off before they serve you your complimentary breakfast on your patio. The shower is large and the water gets plenty hot. This place was amazing! The hotel restaurant at the top of the stairs is fantastic! Try the cheese Saganaki! Guests get 20% off, and if you ask they will bring your meal down to your balcony. Waiter Renato was fantastic! He really catered to us. The hotel is right above where the donkeys rest after taking tourists up and down the main path. There are a lot of stairs in Santorini. Call or have your transportation call the hotel to let them know you're on your way and they will have someone help with your luggage. Trust me, you want the help. Especially when you leave. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again when in Santorini.

• Kim (10/5): Fantastic Sea Views In Santorini - May 2018. Stayed 3 nights, should have been longer. What you see is what you get, the view is exceptional. Imagine a nice warm sunny day sitting on your patio in front of your room taking in the view while drinking Ouzo and wine or if the mood suits, sitting in your outdoor spa on the patio having a drink while taking in the view That's Fanari Vista Suites. There are only 5 suites at Fanari Vista so it was a quiet place but right in the centre of Fira. The rooms are spacious including bathroom. If I had to pick a negative about the room , the mattress could use a topper. There is a large restaurant as part of the complex and we enjoyed the food there. I must say we found the Greek people one of the friendliest, most hospitable people in our 10 weeks of travel in Europe. Loved them We had never been to Santorini so we were ignorant to the location. We highly recommend Fanari Vista Suites but be warned there are a lot of steps to get down to the rooms, about 40 -50. The streets around Fanari Vista ( and the other hotels ) are cobblestoned and stepped as well. When you arrive you are dropped off by the Cathederal so you have about 500 metres or so to get to the hotel along the cobblestone street and down some steps. No vehicles use the cobblestoned street. Its for pedestrians. Also the hotel is right above the donkey station and the steps down to the wharf so in peak season it could be busy. No bother to us when we were there. Loved this hotel
• Dustin (10/5): - This is a BEAUTIFUL boutique hotel, situated in the heart of Thira. The views alone are worth the trip. The surrounding area and proximity to everything in Thira only enhances the stay. Restaurant onsite is fantastic. The rooms are beautiful and give you a true sense of the Aegean. Only drawback, it's at the bottom of the caldera. Be prepared for some stairs to get back to the primary streets of Thira. Also, if you have heavy luggage, let the team know in advance and they will assist with carrying.

• William (10/5): Fantastic location,awesome service! - Our stay at Fanari was brilliant! The location was perfect and whilst we were in the centre of Fira it was extremely private. We ate at the attached restaurant a couple of times and enjoyed the food and service. Brekky was served on our private balcony overlooking the magical view. Simply amazing! Our room was absolutely spotless! The bus station was a short walk away and allowed for cheap, easy access to all parts of the island. We visited Akrotiri, Red beach,Oia and loved them all. The walk from Thira to Oia along the caldera is a must do as the views are fantastic! There are drink and food stops along the way. You'll need reasonable footwear as the track is a little rough in spots. The location of Fanari was great to watch the sunsets and access the local laneways and small shops. We loved our stay in Santorini. Thank you to the friendly staff at Fanari!

Staff helped with our bags, the reception staff showed us to our room taking time to explain everything- whilst we had our welcome drink, a nice cold beer. Bottled water was supplied everyday, we had clean linen everyday along with fresh towels and bathrobes. Fantastic shower! The spa was lovely sitting watching the sunset. And of course there's the donkeys right below the room- delightful watching them. Would definitely stay they again and will recommend it to anyone I know who plans to visit Santorini Thanks guys well done Cheers
• N&S (10/5): Panoramic view - Fantastic accommodation in the heart of Fira. The view is superb & easy to enjoy over the great breakfast cooked to order or in the spa. Friendly & helpful staff complete the experience.
• Donovan (10/5): Unbelievable! Don't even look elsewhere! - The people were so sweet! Not only were they very accommodating for our stay, they were always accessible for suggestions around the island or getting back and forth to the airport. That view is everything you see in the photos and some. It's so incredible to wake up every morning, have a breakfast waiting for you on the patio and look out over one of the most gorgeous views I've ever seen. Seriously I cannot say enough good things about this place. So by the pictures we had some questions, let me see if I can answer them: 1. Yes there is a walkway in front of your room but it's only for the hotel guests so we saw in four days maybe 5-6 people walk by. That's because there is an exit on each side so the two room on the left used that exit and the two on the right used the other. There are doors at the tops of each set of steps that keep the general public from wandering down the steps. 2. There are only four rooms in this hotel and you can't hear between rooms even on the patios. 3. Watch the sunset from the hot tub! 4. Wifi. I was having occasional issues in the bed but on the patio there were no issues. 5. The city itself is always rocking. There is a lot of activity going on around you no matter which hotel you choose. 6. Yes there is a slight donkey smell but no worse than the horse and carriages in NYC and it's not exclusive to this hotel. You forget about it immediately. If you don't stay here, you're crazy. I wish I could write more! 10 stars!

• Howard (10/5): Wonderful hotel to stay at Santorini - Most freindly staff I met - they have passion to serve; helped us to move the baggages from the bus' drop off point to the hotel (and move to the taxi pickup point when we leave); provided recommendations about the daily trip, but keep very kind even we did not use her suggestion; provided us an extra free breadfast for the first day we arrived (we arrived too early at 8 am, but check-in s/b 11). Great food and room service - very good breadfast with wnderful view toward the sea and volcano. Many choice for the breadfast, and will be delivered to your room at the time you preferred. The restaurant up-stair is actually serving very delicious food, and the tenant of the hotel can enjoy discount for ordering meals. Well room design - the design of the room is very Santorini style. The size of the bathroom is much more than enough and very comfortable to use. My wife loves the dresser in th room. The most perfect part is the balcony which has a spa and face toward to the sea. We really enjoyed the spa and the view at the same time! We had a perfect 2-day-stay at this hotel and would like to recommend it to my friends!
