Guest Reviews
- Michael (4/5): - There is no spa, no cafe as advertised my original bill expedia $1,500 when they got done with deposit for dogs & a daily fee it was over $2,200
- candice (6/5): - Receiptionist
- Jason (6/5): - I was extremely disappointed in EXPIDIA as the motel said they do not book through you and DO NOT accept expidia reservations. Thanks a lot expidia… for NOTHING!
- ELAINE (8/5): Nice hotel - The ice machine and vending machines are not working. You have to go to the gas station for any drinks and ice. To check in you have to first go to the gas station and tell the clerk you are there to check in then they call someone to mmet you at the motel office. The rooms were clean and it was quiet. Beds were comfortable.
- Elizabeth (6/5): Motel was fine, but I won't ever stay again. - The motel itself was fine. Older, but very clean - fridge, microwave and in-room coffee. (Not sure why, but many places no longer have in room coffee.) I am a traveling festival vendor and worked the day I was to stay at the Creekside Lodger until close to 10pm. Long day. I got to the motel at 10:08. I didn't realize I had to check in at the store next door. I went there, but they close at 10. The two men told me to go back to the motel and wait for them to open the office. Ok. Check in was slow, language barrier, not friendly, whatever. Finally got my room key and got to my room, which was fine. I went back to the store at 7:15am to check out, get my $100 cash deposit back and head home. The counter person told me in broken English I would have to wait until someone opened the office to get my deposit back. I produced the receipt which had CASH written on it and he reluctantly returned my $100. Even though the motel was fine, I will never stay there again. Worst customer service and interface ever. People need to learn how to SMILE and be welcoming. As a business owner, I appreciate my customers and let them know it. They don't.
- Joni (8/5): It was fine. - Breakfast? There were communication issues. I’m pleased with the outcome but I had a difficult time during check in.
- GEORGE (8/5): - television was intermittently working, no plug in the tub nor sink, motel is certainly dated but clean, staff were not in the motel but in gas station across parking lot, with mobility issues we had hard time getting their attention. Although staff were friendly, being from India were hard to understand. We would probably stay again but realize the limitations.
- Andrew (4/5): - The room was very clean, but noisy all night long. The walls are super thin. The TV from the neighboring room blasted all night long, even after 2:30 a.m. when the manager knocked on their door asking them to quiet down. During the 5 a.m. hour people in the room behind the bathroom began yelling. It was thoroughly unpleasant and I pretty much got no sleep the whole night. If you are a sound sleeper and can sleep through anything, then is motel is for you. Otherwise, stay here at your own risk. The staff was friendly and understanding when I had to cut my reservation short.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Phyllis (10/5): - We stayed in the back of the building. Nice creek area to hang out. Room was clean. There was coffee in the room. I enjoyed staying there.
- Maria (2/5): - Operators were rude. Facility was inferior. They were angry i wanted to check in early and demanded $50. I did not check in.
- Daniel (4/5): Take a breath into the 21st Century. Invest in some technology! - Charged $40 for staying 8 minutes after checkout. The staff were more than willing to waive the fee, but they were terrified of their boss. Low staff morale leads to terrible accommodation’s.
- Dennis (2/5): - checking in at a low end gas station is not where I want to stay.
- Francesca (5/5): Weird experience but got the job done - The location was ideal and 24h check in The owner of the place demanded a $300 deposit on a credit card - I never heard this for a Motel nor a hotel. If I didn’t have a credit card she wouldn’t allow me to stay.
- Monique (8/5): Would recommend - Very clean & comfortable for a reasonable price. Convenient with store and gas station right on property.
The only downside is with the check in process...somewhat slow.
- Justin (6/5): Pleasant -
- John (2/5): - Showed up to find they did not know we were coming. No electricity. No room. Had to make other arrangements
- Riddle (9/5): Superb - Staff was friendly and room was clean Need more rooms
- Tom (7/5): Good -
- Vincent (8/5): - Clean. Quiet. And convenient.
- John (8/5): Very good -
- colin (8/5): - Dog fee is verry expensive. 2 nights 120 dollers
- Peter (5/5): Great area for a visit but motel was tired and next to a busy road and gas station - Room was clean Very untidy exterior and stained toilet.
Ice machine not working.
Took a $100 deposit which was pointless as booked through Booking.com who have all our details
Water tepid on first night.
- isaias (4/5): - Bed and ac was good. Not close to anything except a store. Water wasn’t that hot. Liked that we were able to check in early and staff was friendly
- Robert (4/5): Disappointing -
- David (8/5): - Clean and quiet
- Robert (6/5): Pleasant -
- Byrd (9/5): Nice stay! - The room was very clean. All towlels and linens were fresh and clean. The room included a mini fridge and microwave as well as a small coffee maker. It is a convenient location if you are in town to sightsee. There is a minimart with a gas station adjacent to the Lodge. Perfect for topping off the gas and picking up all kinds of refreshments...check out the other adjacent business for some other nice refreshments. The bed was a bit uncomfortable and there were only 2 very flat pillows in the room. We regretted not bringing ours from home. Life lesson...bring the pillow next time.
- Marsha L (6/5): - It was very pricey
- Kris (5/5): Not quite what I was hoping for. - It was right off the highway but very quiet. Our shower didn't have a curtain, nor did the tub plug work. While everything was pretty clean, the floor and comforters were gritty. The lights above the bed were extremely loose, and one didn't work. The toilet seat was loose. The front of the Ac/Heater was being held on by painters tape.
- Judy (6/5): Pleasant - The price The lights did not work un our room and the shower needed work
- Verified traveler (2/5): Do Not Stay Here - Motel style, very old, not updated, the peoples running the place were up partying All Night. At 3:30 am, after being woke up over & over again, I bang on the wall and yelled.
I would Never stay here.
- Tom (8/5): Very good -
- Diane (9/5): Quiet place, Exellent value for money - Quiet room on the back side of the Lodge on a green space. It was 104-111 degrees that week, so the air conditioning was heavenly. Had a fridge/freezer, microwave, and coffee maker. Plenty of parking. No road noise. Very cute frogs. Check out was easy--just leave the key in the key dropbox next to the office. Office looked open, but I actually had to walk about 50 yards to the gas station/mini-mart to find someone to check in. They were very friendly and accommodating however.
- Gurule (4/5): So disappointed! - There was no breakfast Upon arrival I was told that they only accepted cash. This was never mentioned prior to checking in
The deposit also had to be in cash and it was not available for refund until after the room was cleaned. I had to make two round trips for my deposit to be refunded. Totally unacceptable!
- Mary (10/5): - We needed an extra room for a few nights near our place and it fit the bill. The staff were very accommodating, room was clean, the wifi was good and the AC worked great. The bathroom and furnishings are a little dated but acceptable for the price we paid for the night. I would stay here again.
- Xiang (2/5): - Horrible ever experience
- Lloyd (6/5): - The staff was hardly on motel property, they run the convenience store and gas station as well, so you would have to go to Kit’s Corner to get ahold of someone. Was working nights so we were basically sleeping through out the day, and it was quiet, so no complaints here.
- Neila (2/5): - Really dated , hygenically poor. Asked for 2 extra pillows yet got no pillow cases. Staff poorly hospitable
- Michael (4/5): Not the best - It was the only place that had a room where I needed to stay for my bass tournament. Cramped space really, had a bad smell when entering, so we went a got room sanitizer, air spray.
- Flynn (3/5): Everything good except remote for tv - TV didn't work remote was broken
- Dora (2/5): - I got there to check in , and the hotel was close , out business
- Cindy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (9/5): Great value for the money - No breakfast. Great value for the money. Great value for the money
- Brookes (1/5): I would never book this place again. - There was no one at the front window to check us in at 4:15 pm local time. Waited 10-15 minutes continuously pressing the buzzer. No one came. Consequently, I had to make alternate arrangements for my overnight stay. I want a refund. The place seemed deserted. No cars, people, activity of any kind. Please refund my $98.24. Thank you.
- Jacobs (9/5): Superb -
- Lana (6/5): Not having full time office staff hurts this business. - When we arrived, there was no remote for the TV. When we went to the office there was no one there and a sign said to go to the Convince Store in the gas station. When we went in, they said the remote was probably stolen and they would bring us a new one the next day. We went back to the room and moved the table between the beds and found the remote an old sock, an empty Cheeto bag and some other trash. We also needed toilet paper as there was less than a quarter of a roll in the bathroom. we didn't get toilet paper for another hour.
- Kerry (9/5): Superb - N/A
- Szilu (4/5): Disappointing - True to the photos. First I sent an email about the check in time before arriving and the reply came the next day..not a big deal but still
Secondly one of the employe was talking in front of my window wery loudly several times even at night time and I did not felt comortable with it. Still kind of fine..
But the morning I wanted to check out in the time period that it is requested I could not because the employe who was responsible for paying back my deposit (100$) was not there and I had to wait for two more hours...! I had other things planned so I was very unhappy about it. And when he arriwed not even a word off apologise was said.... After I gave him my roomkeys he turned away. I had to stop him and ask about my deposit! He said it will be transferred ....and turned away again! I asked when? Today?
He said yes and left. I was mad.
I slill have not received back my money and I was not the only one with this problem! The lady next door had the same experience. She stayed and called to make a report because unlike me she had time to do that!
- Lana (9/5): I would stay there again...very big room and nice and clean. - Rooms were really big and clean. Everything was fine
- Brickson (6/5): Our stay was brief but we got the rest we needed - Facilities were clean, nice fridge and microwave, quiet location, water was hot Facilities were old,
fans rattled and pipes were loud,
low water pressure. There was a coffee maker in the room but NO COFFEE
- Jody (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly staff, beautiful setting and yard with BBQS, lawn swings. There was nothing we didn't like.
- Got (1/5): Bad - Nothing People were strange and standoffish just weird also being the location of the facility which is basically miles away from everybody else there is no telephone in the room whatsoever so if there's an emergency your ass out.
- Joe (7/5): Good -
- Harold (7/5): Not withstanding the awkward checkin process , I’d stay here again. - Clean room and bedding. Despite the outward appearance, the rooms were modern. Check in was awkward. Because I arrived late there was no visible sign to ring the partially hidden buzzer for an attendant. So, I had to call a number posted (I had to guess the area code).
Once finally greeted the checkin process was ancient, like the early 80’s. Technology kinda whiffed by this place.
- Richard (1/5): I didn't stay. The date booked was not the dates had scheduled, The booking agent screwed up. -
- Ellen (8/5): Housekeeping was very helpful but not the gentleman who checked us in. Took 20 mins to check us in. - The grounds were nice The sign in the office said $100 per pet deposit. But the gentleman said it was $300 because we had 2. Shouldn't it have been 2 x $100?
- Souza (10/5): This is the best value, in the area, for the money - This is the best value, for the money, in the area
- Narcissus (9/5): Clean and fresh - Room was very clean and smelled nice. Mattress was not very comfortable.
- Holmes (10/5): Exceptional - The food and service was world class. Nothing it's an enjoyable experience everytime.
- Christopher (10/5): Comfortable clean - Suitable for a comfortable room. TV in corner might better to center it in front of bed
- Arthur (8/5): Very good -
- Matthew (3/5): Poor -
- Toni (8/5): Great For Price - Second time staying at this motel. Love that it has a liquor store, cannabis shop and gas station all in the same lot. The cleaning lady does a great job and is very friendly. Downfall was no hot water in the shower.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Christina (3/5): Poor - Room was clean. That was the only positive. Well, the guy checking me in didn’t know how much to charge me and tried to charge me an extra 70$. He pulled up the booking app on my phone, clicked on another property and said okay, 270. No, 196.
There is no one ever at the office, you have to trek over to the gas station for everything.
Quiet hours are a joke. There were 4 racist, sexist drunks making horrid comments until the wee hours of the morning. There was no way to sleep until they finally shut up. While these people being idiots isn’t management’s fault, IF someone had been on the property, it could have been handled.
I left a day early and asked for my deposit to be released. They promised it would be. Not surprisingly, it still has not been.
- Shannon (7/5): Good - Booked online because it was pet friendly but wasn't informed about the $30 non-refundable pet fee until we checked in. Not good!
- Don (6/5): Similar to Motel 6 - It was an ok, but not particularly great place to stay. Very comparable to a Motel 6. I guess I expected more for the area it's located, but there really isn't anything around other than a convenience store. There were 2 things that made me less than happy. Front desk help was hard to find and confusing when I did find them. Second, there were a lot of rowdy guests (and staff) that made it difficult to sleep or feel at peace. Finally, there was no TV remote to be found in my room and I could not find help to replace it. Bottom line, it was $100 for the night and I expected more than I received.
- Shanea (9/5): Superb -
- Leonid (8/5): Very good -
- Nancy (4/5): Disappointing -
- Phil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arnold (9/5): Superb - Please please very clean also had the microwave and a refrigerator nice little
Bathroom set up. Good morning to take a bath but there was no plug for the bathtub.
- Caroline (6/5): Pleasant - Very clean I would not stay there again, because check in and check out was not convenient at all.
- Mary (9/5): Superb -
- Clements (8/5): Very good -
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The motel is just a decent motel. It was a bit off putting that online it states that there is a spa on the grounds and laundry when there isn't. I thought it was a bit pricy for what it was but it was clean, just basic.
- Thomas (10/5): great - Best value in the area for the money It could use working Ice and vending machines
- Marsha (10/5): - Very quiet location
- Mike (7/5): Nice and clean, good value but checking in process was a little sketchy.. - property is just off the main highway set back a little. nice and clean rooms with fridge and microwave. great value. got a late start and arrived around 11pm with another couple arriving at the same time. both had reservations but the front door was locked and it’s evidently associated with the gas/minimart on the corner. sign in window said go to gas station but doors locked there as well.
back to office with very loud knocks and finally got two twenty something’s that weren’t clear on how to work things to check is in. After a long phone call with someone, they got it sorted and checked in fine.
same drill in the morning. nobody there, just drop key in box and hope to get room deposit back later in the day.
- Thomas (10/5): All and all it was far above my expectations and the staff was very accommodating. - They exceeded my expectations. The room was quiet and clean. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The ice machine and vending machine did not work. TV selection was limited
- John (2/5): Very poor -
- Susan (10/5): - This property is not fancy but it is clean and well cared for. We like that it is small and convenient for visiting family
- Cathleen (8/5): - The staff was super friendly, the room was very clean. But, the heater, which we needed because it was about 30 degrees outside, was so loud it made sleeping difficult. The mattress was okay but my husband and I kept rolling toward the middle at each other. We had to kind of hang onto the outside edges while we slept. There was no TV remote, which they said a few rooms were missing. We were fine with that but didn’t want to get charged for it. We needed a place to sleep and we got one!
- Danielle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ronald (4/5): - I wasn’t able to get there in time. When I called to ask them to leave a key under the doormat I was connected to a fax machine.
- Gordon (8/5): Very good -
- Sharon (10/5): - It’s winter so not much to see on property. It was very clean and quiet. Close to where we needed to be. Definitely will stay there again.
- Ronald (8/5): - The refrigerator froze my Cokes!!
- Melissa (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ronald (2/5): - They don’t rent rooms after 10pm.
- Ronald (2/5): - I hated that I couldn’t check in when I arrived at11:50pm. Had to go to Twin Pine.
- Laurel (8/5): Very good -
- Mrs. (7/5): Good - I appreciated the quite location of our room. It was decently clean. The back courtyard was very quant to sit out and relax in the fresh air. I was discouraged by the fact I had booked a smoking room with 2 queen sized beds. It was confirmed..... when I checked in, I was given a non-smoking room with only one bed. It was late and we were tired so I didn't protest it. There was maybe 2 or 3 other rooms that were occupied. It was obvious they weren't booked and should of had my reserved room. Oh well....
- Dana (6/5): - It was ok, clean but the disinfectant smell in the room was overwhelming and even after leaving the door and window open for hours the stink was awful. The bathtub water barely came out.
The partying at 1130 to 1am next door woke up my grandkids.
- Mls (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (9/5): easeful - nice room!! Very reasonable price. worked well for our stay at Harbin Hotsprings!
- Yona (5/5): Passable - I had to leave a bad hotel and this is what was available at this time of night It's a road hotel, I just have no expectations except for cleanliness and comfort to spend the night
