Guest Reviews
- James (10/5): -
- Steve (9/5): An excellent place to stay for a lovely weekend. - I've been staying at this hotel for a number of years and the standards have been maintained throughout that time. The room, as ever, was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Shirley is an excellent host, ensuring the room was attended to as necessary and informing us of anything relevant. The location of the hotel is fine for my needs as I don't mind a short walk to get to local amenities. There is nothing that is worth adding in this box
- Natasha (4/5): Not worth £90 per night - The cleanliness was very good. Complimentary toiletries and chocolate. Close to local amenities. The room was very small but it was comfortable. The heating was on full blast, the welcome was quite abrump, was just keys and shown a door, no welcoming what so ever. Poor wifi connection and had to use own data to connect to the tv. Room was not what was shown on the photos, no big garden as shown, no breakfast, would have paid for breakfast if it was available.
- Michael (3/5): never again - convient no wifi. aerial tv small
very basic
plastic shower curtain on small tray
heating not on in morning
agressive replies to my complaints

- Jacqueline (8/5): Great location! The room was a bit on the small side but the bed was very comfortable. Toiletries were provided and the - Location and comfortable bed Overall the stay was pleasant, but the shower temperature was colder than I would have liked
- Jason (7/5): -
- Claire (5/5): Difficult for my elderly mother to access room - Clean room Room up steep fire escape stairs. Room L shaped. Twin beds could only be placed where you couldn’t even see the other person you shared a room with. One bed next to door had no plug socket near bed and no bedside table or lamp.
WiFi didn’t work.
- David (9/5): Loved it - Friendly welcome, very helpful and efficient. Room was spotless and the best bed we've ever found in a hotel. Quiet location despite being walking distance from the town centre, and plenty of parking. The bed being enormous left little room for other furniture: Only one chair and one bedside table. A minor quibble, though!

- Elizabeth (10/5): Highly recommend - Location. Check in seamless. Greeted warmly. Spotlessly clean Air-conditioning would be a real bonus.
- Keen (8/5): Very good - Quiet, clean, ground floor room with a comfortable single bed. Perfect for my 2 night stay. The cups were very small. I like a mug of tea (as discussed).
- Linda (4/5): Disappointing - It was close to we're in needed to be It smells of damp, when went in when asked for extra towels she wouldn't give any to us. there was only 3 in room for 2 of us .. couldn't take food to eat in there and she wasn't very friendly
- Emma (7/5): Pleasant, clean and functional for one night - Simple, quick and friendly welcome and check in. Sparklingly clean. Perfect location if you need to stay in Olney. Tiny, tiny room, tiny bathroom, tiny shower. All about the absolute minimum to make your way around things. It was a very hot night and no aircon.

- Lars (10/5): Exceptional - Great accommodation, pretty much the best value for your money in that area. The laundromat is in front of the accommodation. Private parking directly in front of the room.
The Owner is very nice.
Highly recommend it and I would definitely book it again .
- Joshua (9/5): Highly recommended for a comfy quiet stay close to everything you need - Room was amazing clean cosy and facilities immaculate. Owners welcoming and helpful.
- Calum (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (10/5): Comfortable, clean and just what was needed. - The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the addition of a selection box was a really nice unexpected bonus. As it was Christmas, we were not expecting the beds to be made or towels changed, however they were. Also our clothes were folded, something we would have done if we had realised house keeping would be in. We would definitely stay again. The room was very hot when we arrived, but it’s winter so was expected. Everything else as just what we wanted.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and comfortable facilities at a reasonable price. I have used this hotel quite a few times
- Jen (10/5): Exceptional - Greeted warmly by the owner. Lovely room warm and cozy. Very clean. Conveniently located to local amenities. Would definitely stay again .

- Duggan (9/5): Superb - The easy access and local area Limited parking, but managed
- Philip (7/5): Lovely quaint no-nonsense hotel in the heart of Olney village - The landlady/Owner kindly let us check in our 2 rooms early. The hotel is a no-nonsense clean and tidy offering that I would highly recommend for it's location in Olney, and for it's convenience. Just t he room, no breakfast. Nothing. It delivered on all points.
- Ruth (1/5): Do not ever consider staying - Utterly appalling customer service, complete contempt and refusal to answer telephone repeatedly. Resulted in missing my event which was ruined
- Des (10/5): Exceptional -
- She (9/5): Superb -
- Julia (7/5): Good -
- Des (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lee (7/5): It was a pleasant stay - Room was clean and tidy and a large bed comfy bed, property owner was friendly Perhaps slightly expensive
- Harpreet (5/5): Won't stay again - Room was clean and bed Very tiny room, No hand wash, no shower gel, felt cold at night. No customer service. No hooks for clothes. Very tiny shower place cannot even stand.
- Graham (1/5): Never again - Clean and tidy Did not feel welcome
room was noisy all night from people above sleep was impossible
No bathroom products
no drinking water
could not control heating
- Mira (4/5): Quite unpleasant - Great bed, super clean and tidy. It seemed everything was quite new. First it was overheated , than there was no heating at all. IThe small room isolated, ground floor, unattractive view!
My first impression was OMG, it’s more a storage room. I found it depressing and checked out one day earlier as I have planned.
For someone who want stay very anonymous, hiding, it’s the best place to stay overnight!
- Michael (7/5): Good nights sleep - Warm and clean Nothing

- Graham (9/5): Superb -
- Vincent (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and comfortable room with good internet. Great nights sleep. 10 minutes walk to a good fish and chips shop. Plus on site parking.
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional - Exceptionally clean room. Cleaned every day. Perfect location for access to food in the evenings. Very comfortable bed. Good parking. The owner is very nice and friendly.
- Tarnya (6/5): Did not feel like a hotel but comfy stay. - Hotel by name but not by function, this is a guesthouse.
A very friendly owner, great location, easy parking, very clean, but very basic guesthouse.
Bed was very comfortable, but there were no surfaces to put things on, there was a small table with tv & kettle on. Would have been better to have tv on wall, another bedside table, a hook on the door for coats & some hand wash rather than the tiny box soap would have made the stay more comfortable.
Would stay again if in area. No hand wash, no hook for coats and no surface space.
- Simon (8/5): Very good -
- Sandra (8/5): Very good -
- Jonathan (7/5): Good - bed
- Victoria (8/5): Very good -
- Shahin (8/5): Very good -
- Eileen (5/5): Very clean and presentable but unfortunately very basic for the price. - It was walkable to the High Street and all it’s facilities. Our room was cramped and cold.
Apart from a small bar of soap, there were no complimentary toiletries as per the property description.
We couldn’t check in until 4pm.
No breakfast included.
- Bella (8/5): Very good - Everything was perfect for 1 night Nothing to dislike
- Michael (3/5): Won’t be back - Location to where my family live The bed was firm,
The road noise,
The worse part was being woke at 1130pm by next room I thought they was chatting outside but when I checked they wasn’t the walls are paper thin,
- Randall (5/5): Location location location. It’s in town. But it’s pretty simple. - Great location in town. Very basic.
- Michael (6/5): Nice room, shower could do with an upgrade - Clean comfortable room, friendly staff The fire alarm at 6:20 in the morning. The shower that dribbled on me at either a freezing or scalding temperature. The pathetically small amount of shower gel in the sachet
- Gareth (10/5): Lovely hotel, 10/10 - What a great find, we went to a classic car show down the road and stayed here for two nights it was a great stay! The owner was very friendly, the room was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel Nothing
- Susan (7/5): A comfortable stay perfect for my needs. - Spotlessly clean room. Comfortable bed. Good quantity of Coffee, Tea and milk. Nice shower looked very new. The wooden wardrobe had that “old musty” smell about it. The door to the en suite did not shut easily it made a loud bang, so left it ajar as didn’t want to disturb other residents. During the 2 nights I stayed couldn’t get parked in the private car park it was always full, however parking in nearby side road wasn’t a problem.
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carmen (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (10/5): An ideal room for a solo traveller. - A nice room with a very comfortable bed.
- Roy (9/5): Superb - the lack of available car parking
- Jackie (9/5): Comfortable stay, helpful staff. -
- Michelle (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (8/5): very happy overall bar the wifi - everything good in the room no problems the wifi connection was very poor
