We cannot recommend it highly enough. - A truly special boutique hotel in Siem Reap We stay in all kinds of hotels, including many high-end international chains, and almost never take the time to write reviews. In this case, however, we are genuinely happy to do so because it is absolutely deserved. Viroth Hotel is a truly special place. The architecture is amazing, and the rooms and bathrooms are exceptionally spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly cosy. Every detail feels carefully thought through. While the term “boutique hotel” is often overused these days, here it is entirely justified. The design of the hotel, the restaurant, and the pool area is really unique, blending 70s chic with Khmer design elements in a way that feels both stylish and authentic. The pool area in particular is wonderful. Relaxing there feels like being in an oasis of calm and peace, while still being right in central Siem Reap. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel several times during our stay. Normally, we prefer to eat outside as much as possible to enjoy the local atmosphere, but here we simply could not resist making the most of such a beautiful setting. Finally, the staff were incredible throughout, from the airport pickup all the way to checkout. Warm, professional, and consistently attentive. A truly memorable stay, and one we would highly recommend. The property was faultless. 10/10

Staff attention was impeccable, great massage in the Spa, food was great. The hotel is a work of art - in both the design / furniture, and the skill of the management & staff. A Swiss hotel school could send students to Viroth's to see how it's done! Really hard pushed to find any fault.. on a couple of occasions the breakfast coffee machine can't have been working quite right.

From the moment you arrive, the service is simply exceptional — warm, attentive, and genuinely personal without ever feeling intrusive. The team is professional, efficient, and always ready to assist with a smile. The design of the hotel is absolutely beautiful. The mid-century modern aesthetic, lush greenery, and calm atmosphere create a stylish yet relaxing retreat. The rooms are spacious, thoughtfully designed, and extremely comfortable, with great attention to detail. Everything feels curated and harmonious. The location is perfect — quiet enough to feel peaceful, yet within easy walking distance of the river, markets, and central areas. Breakfast deserves special mention: excellent quality and a great selection. A wonderful way to start the day. One recurring issue was guests reserving pool chairs early in the morning and then leaving them unattended for long periods. While this is not really the hotel’s fault, it was noticeable and slightly frustrating at times. It speaks more to the behavior of certain guests than to the property itself, but it does impact the pool experience.
• Louise (10/5): A fabulous hotel in a great location, would thoroughly recommend. - Viroth’s hotel is really excellent. There are so many positive things to say about this hotel. It’s not too big which enables the staff to provide a really personal service. As soon as we walked in each day they had our key ready without us having to tell them our room number. The staff were very attentive and looked after us brilliantly. We ate dinner at the hotel twice, both times the food and wine were excellent. The breakfast was also delicious with a number of menu choices and a buffet. Our room was very spacious and stylish. All the communal areas of the hotel were very tasteful, and there was a small shop over the road where you could purchase some of the soft furnishings. The pictures really don’t do the hotel justice. It was certainly the best hotel on our trip around Vietnam and Cambodia. Nothing, it was excellent.

La chambre était très agréable et le Spa (massage) excellent. La piscine était bien aussi. Il y avait toujours de la place. Le guide qui nous a été proposé pour visiter Angkor pendant deux jours était remarquable. On a rajouté une troisième journée avec lui. Tous les conseils de l'hôtel étaient judicieux. Y compris au dernier moment car, grâce au personnel qui nous a rappelé à temps que c'était notre dernier jour (on allait demander à appeler un tuk-tuk pour passer un quatrième jour à Angkor), nous avons pu avoir notre avion du retour (on s'était trompé de jour, si si ça arrive quand on est bien dans un endroit). Un détail à connaître mais assez incontournable car plutôt culturel. Le personnel est littéralement "au petit soin" mais cette bienveillance a été, à notre avis, parfois trop envahissante: - au petit déjeuner, dès qu'une plat ou une boisson était terminée, l'assiette ou le verre étaient immédiatement enlevés. Il fallait se justifier si on voulait le garder (par exemple pour éviter de reprendre un verre propre si on voulait se resservir) et ça coupait les conversations ou la tranquillité du repas. - on nous demandait toujours si ça allait et on nous souhaitait plein de bonnes choses dès qu'on passait l'accueil. C'est sympa sur le principe mais cette ultra bienveillance et cette ultra présence crée une relation un peu déséquilibrée entre le client "roi" et le personnel toujours "au service".

Bardzo komfortowy basen, duża dostępność leżaków, kameralnie. Poprzez usługę gastronomiczną - duży wybór na śniadaniu, bufet oraz dania serwowane z karty (w cenie), restauracja również z dużym wyborem zarówno dań lokalnych jak i międzynarodowych. Wszystko bardzo smaczne, podane bardzo estetycznie i w dobrej jakości. Aż po wspaniały personel - wszyscy prawdziwie serdeczni, z sercem na dłoni, starają się aby pobyt gości był niezapomniany i tak też się dzieje. Czuliśmy się prawdziwie zaopiekowani. Personel bardzo pomocny przy organizacji wszelkich wycieczek. Nam najbardziej zapadła w pamięć i poruszyła wyprawa do Floating Village. Bardzo dziękujemy również za poruszającą rozmowę Panu z recepcji (niestety nie pamiętam imienia), który pochodzi z Floating Village. Było to cenne doświadczenie. Na pewno wrócimy do Viroth's Hotel! -

Was dieses Hotel so besonders macht: Das Personal (Absolut Weltklasse!): Das Team im Viroth's ist das Herzstück des Hauses. Das Personal ist nicht nur extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend, sondern in seiner Professionalität schlichtweg einsame Spitze. Man fühlt sich als Gast jederzeit wertgeschätzt und perfekt betreut – ein Service auf diesem Niveau ist selten zu finden. Design & Atmosphäre: Das 50er-Jahre-Retro-Design ist wunderschön umgesetzt und wird mit sehr viel Grün und moderner Eleganz kombiniert. Es ist eine Oase der Ruhe im geschäftigen Siem Reap. Komfort & Sauberkeit: Die Zimmer sind stilvoll, tadellos sauber und sehr funktional. Besonders die Terrasse lädt zum Entspannen ein, wenn man nach den Tempeltouren eine Auszeit braucht. Lage: Ideal gelegen, um das Stadtzentrum von Siem Reap zu Fuss zu erkunden. Die Trottoirs in der Umgebung sind breit und gepflegt, was das Spazierengehen sehr angenehm macht. Ein absolutes Juwel! Wer in Siem Reap übernachtet, sollte sich dieses Erlebnis nicht entgehen lassen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

• Vanessa (10/5): Best Location and Amazing Team - Viroth's is in a fantastic location - an easy walk over the bridge into the old town area and there are restaurants and bars/breweries nearby. The rooms are spacious and even though our room faced the street noise was not an issue. The balcony was area is large enough to enjoy sitting out there and there is a fan for those warm days and nights. Pool area is beautiful as is the rest of the hotel. What really made this place for us as well is the team that work and manage Viroth's. Amazing! You will be hard pressed to find better service and a nicer team. Everyone is so accomodating and friendly it really makes such a difference to your stay. We loved everything!

Its interior design is sleek and adorned with local arts and crafts. The double is bed very comfortable and no noises interrupted sleep in the two rooms we had booked for four nights. The breakfast choice, quality and taste was superior and is a combination of buffet and a la carte. The ever-smiling and highly attentive service level of every single staff member is what truly makes this establishment stand out, howewer. Perhaps the most telling of many examples was the birthday cake, greeting and singing which the breakfast staff surprised my wife and the rest of my family with. From our passports Viroth’s Hotel had picked up that January 1 was my wife’s birthday. We could not believe this gesture which made us feel staying at home rather than at a hotel.

• Matthew (10/5): Perfect stay in a Faultless Hotel. - Everything about the whole stay. Staff were incredible. They remember you from the minute you arrive taking note of preferences. Spa treatments were excellent. The pool was fantastic with plenty of space and service again was top notch when ordering pool side. Room was cleaned multiple time a day and re stocked. Hotel is in a great location and they will do their best to meet any requests you make. They took us out in one of the classic cars to the presidential residence through the town which was a nice touch. The tour they arranged for us was perfect. Would recommend and will hopefully be back again at some point in the future. We had 3 generations staying here over Christmas in our group and all ages were agreeable on the place. Nothing. The place is faultless. I didnt like the fact I had to leave once our stay was complete.

The hotel team was incredibly supportive and helpful in one of the best staff teams I’ve ever seen in a hotel (and I travel a lot). The hotel is clean, gorgeous, relaxing and very well located that you can walk to the main streets while still enjoying peace and quiet. The room was spacious and cleaned thoroughly. It was worth every cent and happy to recommend to everyone we know coming to Siem Reap.

• juliemT9485NL (10/5): Amazing stay - A lovely little oasis in Siem Reap. Staff are exceptional, so friendly and helpful. All were full of genuine smiles and the want to help. Staff were more than happy to spray guests coming and going with a natural mosquito spray out of genuine concern for their guests. Amazing stay, we would certainly recommend this hotel.
