Guest Reviews
- Helene (10/5): - Amazing location and staff. Highly recommend staying here, we never wanted to leave. Loved every second of our stay.
- Naveh (8/5): - We highly recommend Eco Palms House – Sapa Retreat for its wonderful atmosphere, beautiful natural and ecological surroundings, excellent food, and peaceful experience, although it is located quite far from the center of Sapa and required using Grab transportation whenever we wanted to go into town.

- Daniel (10/5): A beautiful retreat in the heart of the rice fields with incredible views - A beautiful retreat in the heart of the rice fields with incredible views. The room was amazing and it was such an interesting experience to stay in a traditional northwestern tribal home. The staff were super friendly and even helped us get a last minute taxi during one of the busiest travel days of the year in Sapa. The retreat is not a standard hotel room as it is a traditional style building with mud walls and a bamboo floor which is why it's so great. The terrace view is unmatched and having a bathroom with a shower and bath is the icing on the cake. It's about a 10 min taxi ride into Sapa town, and you can walk there too but it's a 6k/1h 45m uphill walk along a busy road. There is a beautiful long hike you can take from the retreat, down to Lao Chai and along the river to Cat Cat village also. The restaurant has lovely breakfast options and it's great to have the option to eat lunch and dinner there too. Food was ok but the flavors were a bit safe in my opinion. Sapa is a very popular tourist destination so maybe the menu has been simplified to please a wide variety of guests.

- Laurent (10/5): Perfect place out of the crowd of Sapa - Peaceful place, best service ever! All was perfect
- GILLES (10/5): - Very relaxing, staff is very welcoming and makes the stay feel like luxury
- Paloma (10/5): - Everything was perfect
- Pilsue (10/5): - Staffs are very kind Charged lot for mistakenly dropped soap dispenser
- Thomas (10/5): Highly recommend - Great location with amazing views. Staff are very friendly and always prepared to heal and assist Nothing
- Marie-Christine (10/5): - Our stay at this Eco Palms house was simply exceptional, and we couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful experience. From the very first moment, we were welcomed by the incredibly friendly and warm-hearted staff, who made us feel truly at home. Their attentiveness and genuine care stood out in every interaction—they anticipated our needs and always greeted us with a smile.
The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful, filled with lush plants and thoughtfully designed spaces that create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The views are breathtaking, especially overlooking the stunning rice fields, which added a magical touch to our stay.
Our bungalow was charming, offering both comfort and privacy. One of the highlights was being able to enjoy the view of the rice fields right from our balcony—and even from the shower! It was such a unique and serene experience.
We also had the pleasure of enjoying a massage, which was truly fantastic and deeply relaxing—another testament to the high level of care and quality the hotel provides.
We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay. This hotel is a perfect place to unwind, relax, and let your soul truly rest. We would absolutely love to come back! Nothing
- Cathleen (10/5): Beautiful retreat, incredibly kind staff. - The view of the rice fields was incredible. own balcony, wooden bathtub with a view. Mosquito net over the bed, turndown service takes care of it. Never saw a bug at all. Mud walls were unique. No complaints, beautiful retreat. Gorgeous infinity pool. Happy hours daily with 2 for 1 drinks, the staff provide poolside service, NOT pushy at all. Dinner menu, and as everything is cooked fresh, you order at least 1 hour before dinner, just let them know. They arrange their own car service at checkout, very helpful if you don't have Grab on the ready. They can book tours as needed, all very easily, and with no pressure. Service is perfect, and the location is incredible, would stay again. It's on the outside of town, and you can either use the Grab app for a taxi or your own transport. Parking for the location is just past the gate entrance on the right. We had motorbikes. No complaints. Beautiful retreat in Sapa. Sapa itself is much bigger and more touristy than we thought it would be.
- Henrik (10/5): -
- jamie (10/5): Incredible place, staff and location - Family of 3 with 12 year old daughter. We all had the most amazing time
- isabelle (10/5): a serene and beautiful place - Beautiful eco lodges
Beautiful view
Calm place
Super staff
Good food for dinner Saw a snake in the garden 😱
- Manuel (10/5): It was the best place we’ve ever stayed at - The views from the room are breathtaking Nothing, everything was perfect!
- Edwin Kooiman (10/5): - top locatie, personeel behulpzaam en zeer vriendelijk. hele leuke ervaring
- Haruki (10/5): -
- MplsBoys (10/5): Peaceful Valley Paradise: EcoPalms Delivers the Perfect SaPa Escape - We spent four nights at EcoPalms in March 2026. The location is nothing short of spectacular as is the staff and service provided. When we were planning this part of our Vietnam trip we were a bit worried about the distance from SaPa town, but we are so happy we decided to stay here. SaPa town is interesting with fun amenities, but also very crowded and touristy. We loved being able to experience it (and everything the area has to offer), but also know that a quick, $5 USD Grab ride would bring us back to the peacefulness of the Muong Hoa valley. Bi and the entire staff provides warm, highly attentive service, including helping us book a fascinating trekking tour with a local guide and arranging tickets for Fansipan Mountain. The food and drinks were fab (highly recommend the hot pot for dinner and Passionfruit Mojito and Ginger Attacks for happy hour)! Lastly, we really enjoyed the friendly pets who also make the lodge feel more like home. Highly recommend this lodge for your SaPa area stay.
- Kavish (10/5): - Emplacement incroyable, personnel vraiment super sympa.
- Marieke (9/5): Top verblijf! - Prachtig uitzicht en super vriendelijk personeel!
- Stacey (10/5): I wish I could have stayed here forever. It is a place I will never forget! - I absolutely loved my time here, it was a major highlight of my trip to Vietnam. The grounds were stunning, incredible tropical garden with friendly kittens running around! Infinite pool and deck were incredible. But the view from the villa brought me to tears. The bungalow was also perfect, traditional and eco friendly but still stylish, clean and cozy! Shower and wooden bath were great. What really made this place was amazing was the staff, though. They were so, so kind and welcoming and personable. Food was also delicious! Everything was perfect.
- Odeta (10/5): A perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life! - The surroundings are very peaceful, the nature is stunning, and the cabin itself is cozy and thoughtfully designed. It's truly a place where you can relax and enjoy a slower pace.
The staff left a great impression - very friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. We felt genuinely welcome throughout our stay.
We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for peace, privacy, and a quality vacation surrounded by nature.
- Passport31446444601 (10/5): Spectacular place with nicest people one can wish for - Beautiful place surrounded by nature run by beautiful people. We felt very welcome and well cared of. Everybody is kind, smily, helpful, attentive. Huts are made by natural materials what feel very cozy. Resort is 15 minutes driving from Sapa and it is easy to get there by Grab. The view at rice terraces is spectacular and overall atmosphere is super pleasant and homey. We fully recommend, especially if you want to escape the busy SaPa but still being close to all atractions.
- G9203XUkevinw (10/5): Best place in Sapa - Great views, amazing food, the massage full body was fantastic and the service was brilliant, Nim went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well looked after! Wish we booked more days!
- 563eliast (10/5): Nice stay - Very nice stay. Friendly people.
- B5214MDdylanm (10/5): Relaxing, friendly, accommodating - Location and staff are excellent. Dinner and breakfast are also great. Room has great view and vibe
- 981kelsib (10/5): Relaxing, amazing views and delicious food. Very well cared for - Very gracious hosts. We arrived early from the overnight train and were welcomed with warm beverages and set up for a trek around the local villages. They assisted us with booking tickets to the sites and helped us when we had a mishap with our return train tickets. The food is amazing and eating dinner there is highly recommended. The breakfast options were also delicious. It is about 15 minute drive to Sapa town but taxis are easy to coordinate and inexpensive. It was nice to have a place to relax in the evenings after the hustle and bustle of Sapa town. We will be recommending to our friends and family!
- S4440PGgermanp (10/5): 1000% recommended kind people and wonderful views - Wonderful experience the room is comfortably good weather nice peoples food amazing rustic but with the highest level
- Stefan (9/5): -
- C1311FTstefand (10/5): Relax with views - Beautiful property, magnificent views, very comfy bed and the staff were so friendly and helpful, highly recommend.
- Trail25703867923 (10/5): Eco Palms House Sapa - Good service , nice view, good meal , 老闆very nice , 去沙壩一定要住呢間
- lelealtruiste (10/5): A wonderful moment at Eco palms House - We booked for 2 days and it was and wonderful moment, the team is very kind and available for us. Always ready to advise or help us.
Also we dinned the last night and eat the best meal of our journey so far.
We highly recommend !!
- V4529NBalexanderw (10/5): Amazing stay - We had an amazing experience at eco palms! Fantastic staff and lovely animals. We were very relaxed the entire time and the service was perfect
- RMV65-64 (10/5): Awesome place to stay in Sapa - Wow, this place is awesome! Up in the hill and the view is breathtaking. Unfortunately during our stay it's a bit foggy so the view was not very clear. I suggest coming here in between May to Oct. The crew are always checking to make sure that we are compatible. I definitely recommend this place if your looking for something different than the traditional hotel vive.
- annamariem588 (10/5): Wonderful and Relaxing Experience - Thank you for a wonderful and relaxing experience. We are so happy with the accomodation. The place is beautiful and amazing. I appreciate the srrvice provided by the staff. Everyone is great! The food is topnotch and fresh. Thank you B! And to all the staff. I highly recommend this place.
- Oliver (9/5): -
- Jamie (6/5): Ok - The staff was awesome! Very helpful and kind. The bungalow's flooring has large spaces througout, making it uneven. I anticipated seeing bugs because of this, but thankfully it may have been too cold. Non the less, the flooring is what threw me off. The bungalow was colder in the winter but we had a space heater. Possibly ok for more adventourous travelers, but I was uncomfortable.
- Martina (10/5): - The location was amazing, we had a peaceful room with a stunning view on the rice fields. All the food we tried as a breakfast and as a dinner was delicious.
The staff was always there to help with anything.
- X1597ATjasony (8/5): Cloud living in a quaint garden, a restaurant with rooms perched over cascading rice terraces with a great fireplace. - Breath-taking views of far reaching steep rice terraces from anywhere in the resort, including our room. Truly experiencing living in clouds. Food was excellent and the service more so from Nam and Bi. We were treated like royalty and hardly left the resort. We stayed 2 full days and had massages 2 full days and my masseuse Herb did not disappoint. It was freezing (4C at night) but Bi and Nam made sure the fireplace was always crackling and roaring and the wine and whiskeys never stopping flowing. It’s not super luxury and the rooms simply appointed. But the baths were scalding hot and we had all we needed in the room and in the main house, love and genuine hospitality amongst an almost handmade feel to the organic-ness of the resort. Love it. Great value and short of nothing we both needed or wanted.
- Leila (10/5): perfection - everything nothing
- Julia (10/5): A hotel that makes you want to stay in! - Had a wonderful stay with amazing staff ready to help. I even heard them offer another couple to change to one of the better rooms if they wanted to, in order to get a better view. They are genuine and we had a good laugh. They even took pictures of us without us asking to give us some memories.
The food is amazing and made us decide to eat at the hotel rather than eating out, which is something to say for the quality.
Rooms are amazing and the view is incredible. Even in the winter period we were amazing by the majestic look of the hotel and surrounding area.
They have cute little cats and a dog. Definitely made our stay even better as pet lovers.
We visited 5 different hotels during our trip and this one was definitely the best all-round experience. Nothing really bad to say everything was great. Just be aware that prices are slightly higher when comparing to other hotels in Vietnam. It’s not expensive when comparing price to quality, but just a head’s up!
- Nicole (10/5): Best place to stay in Sapa - Everything was amazing. Staff were incredible. Dinner was delicious. Room and spaces were amazing and very beautiful view. Highly recommend. Best
place we've stayed so far on our trip. Very glad we came here. a little bit noisy from our room in the morning so just wear ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Everything exceeded expectations
- Ellen (8/5): Overpromised and underdelivered - We stayed for 3 nights from 24th December until 27th December. We had a lovely time here and there are many positives but it didn't meet our expectations for the reasons I will outline below.
The positives:
- Beautiful location with amazing views
- Friendly, attentive staff
- Delicious breakfast with vegan options
- Our bungalow looked exactly like the photos and was beautifully done. The balcony was a glorious suntrap on the sunny day we had.
- The pool is gorgeous. Absolutely freezing in winter but great for a dip aftet a hike and imagine it would be lovely in summer.
- The food in the restaurant is delicious with plenty of vegan options (if a little expensive). The cocktails are also great and there is 2 for 1 happy hour 15:00 - 18:00.
- The housekeeping staff are amazing - they make the rooms twice per day and somehow manage to work their magic even if you just leave the room for a couple of hours
- It is really peaceful. Almost too peaceful for us (it's a bit more lively along Lao Chai road which you can walk to) but if you want serenity then this is it (apart from the nearby construction but that seems to be the case everywhere in Vietnam)! The negatives:
- It is very expensive for what it is. We have stayed in hotels in Vietnam that are half the price with more facilities. The rooms have no mini fridge, TV, heat pump/aircon and there is no heating in the restaurant, all under the guise of being an 'eco' resort. To me, 'eco' means solar energy, double glazing, windows and doors that shut properly, composting toilets etc. Here, it just seems to be a marketing strategy and an excuse to cut costs.
- The bathroom is beautiful but mouldy and smells as such. See photos.
- There is a disappointing lack of hospitality (this is a criticism of how management run the resort, all of the staff are lovely and this is not a reflection on them):
- My partner and I are both vegan and I emailed the resort over a week before our stay to request oat milk for our coffees at breakfast (which is inexpensive, readily available in Sapa and served at nearby cafes). They said no. They did provide soy milk but it's not as accommodating as I would expect for the price of a 3 night stay.
- We were told when we arrived that if we had any drinks they could be kept in the kitchen fridge (as there are no fridges in the rooms). When we asked to keep a bottle of wine in the fridge we were then told there is a 10 USD corkage fee if we drink it in the communal areas. When we picked up the wine to drink in our room on Christmas Day, we were told if we break a glass we will be charged 500,000 VND. Not quite the Christmas cheer I would have expected!
- From the photos on the booking site, we expected that there might be a bit of a Christmas celebration. There wasn't, which was fine, but if that's important to you for Christmas I would stay elsewhere.
Overall we enjoyed our time here but I don't think it was worth the expense and I wouldn't stay again.
- Chii (7/5): Truly a wonderful experience in “rural” Sa Pa - Location! The view is EXCEPTIONAL!
Staff was helpful and quite attentive! The floor of the room was made of giant bamboo “trunks” & the beddings are laid on the floor. Very inconvenient for people with movement disabilities.
- 986hoat (10/5): An amazing experience in Sa Pa - There are so much I would like to say to describe our stay at Eco Palms but I’ll keep it simple. If it wasn’t for this stay and for the incredible and kind staff here, our visit to Sa Pa would truly not have been the same. So much of our memories and great experience was because of the people and the hotel itself.
We were met with nothing but kindness from the moment we got out of the car to enter the hotel. We couldn’t stop talking about how overwhelmingly nice and welcoming everyone was during our short stay there and how we couldn’t wait to take our families back. While the property itself was unique, what truly made it special was how homely everything felt. The incredible hospitality is something that really makes the stay so so special.
And a HUGE bonus was how amazing the food was!!! We ate out in town for our first meal and were underwhelmed, but after experiencing the food that the chef at the hotel makes, we ended up eating the rest of our meals in Sa Pa at the hotel. Every meal was made fresh and delicious! We were not disappointed with any of the meals and cleaned our plates after each meal.
I’m so glad I decided to book this place to celebrate my birthday. I’m glad my husband and I got to experience what is to be at Eco Palms. If you’re on the fence about booking this place, let this review be your sign. You will not be disappointed.
- Journey38929395149 (10/5): An amazing place to stay - It’s been an amazing staying here, the food is great, the service, the amenities it is all perfect. The employees are very attentive and communicate well. I highly recommend staying here and the view the rooms are just unbelievable.
- H1699PVchrisk (10/5): Nice atmosphere and value for money - Very nice Atmosphere here value for money good location, room cleanliness , foods is delicious staff here is very helpful .will come back for next visit
- Karla (10/5): Wow! Superb stay! - What a spot! Glorious views! Thoughtful details! The property was absolutely gorgeous - lush greenery, natural rocks, little streams, a koi pond, various levels and choices for outdoor seating: the pool looked gorgeous but we didn’t venture in due to the time of year. The dining room/lodge was beautiful as well - we enjoyed many glasses of wine and beer fireside. The food - in a word, yum!! Reasonable priced, fresh and delicious! We had breakfast included in our stay and it was plentiful, beautifully presented and wonderful! Highly recommend! Our bungalow was jaw droppingly gorgeous with a bathtub overlooking the valley, terraced hills and mountains! The beds were very comfortable. We felt so spoiled here - Nam and Niet were wonderful - extremely welcoming and helpful, making us feel so special! They graciously took care of our every need…and

- L7611FHjacobg (10/5): Amazing Eco Hotel Surrounded By Nature - We stayed at Eco Palms House for 2 nights and spent 2 whole days here. It is truly an amazing eco hotel with so much nature around. We were very lucky with the weather and had amazing views! There are beautiful walks around as well. Being in the middle of nature, you get a few insects here and there but the staff clean the rooms twice a day to mitigate this. Incredibly calm and quiet as well.
The food is really nice and all of the staff were amazing and so attentive, they truly went the extra mile.
We also had a massage each and it was one of the best we have had!

- Kaila (10/5): - I cannot rave about this hotel enough. Everything was perfect! The staff were so friendly, and we received possibly the best service I have ever experienced from a hotel, anywhere, ever. Every meal we ate there was exceptional, and bonus points for the delicious hot chocolates and the cuddly kittens that like to sit with you by the fire. We'll definitely come back, and I would recommend to everyone. Nothing - everything was amazing
- sarapG7131UN (10/5): Gorgeous views, and lovely staff :) - We had an absolutely incredible stay at Eco Palms! The staff were so lovely and accomodating throughout our stay; including a very late check in. The resort was gorgeous, with beautiful views, great massages, and tasty food. Highly recommend if you’re planning to stay in Sapa! :)
- Robert (10/5): - The staff make this place. They couldn't be more helpful and attentive. We met the owners who prepared a hot pot meal one night for some of the guests free of charge. Wonderful people. The massage lady is fantastic too. The facility looks over a beautiful valley. It's about a 15 minute Grab ride down the hill from Sa Pa town.
- Magie737 (6/5): Lovely view & amazing staffs - I really loved the view from the hotel; it was absolutely beautiful. The garden was also wonderfully arranged and very charming. The staff were extremely friendly and genuinely tried to make sure we had a pleasant stay. I appreciated their warm attitude and hospitality.
However, there were a few things that didn’t quite suit me. The room was quite cold, especially at night, and the lighting was very dim, so it was difficult to do anything indoors in the evening. I understood that it was an eco-friendly house, and I had prepared myself for that, but it was darker and colder than I expected. Additionally, the room felt rather damp, and the humidity made it uncomfortable for me personally.
Overall, it was a lovely place with thoughtful staff and a stunning view, but I found the cold, dim lighting, and humidity a bit challenging.
- Adroflow (10/5): Lovely - Had a wonderful stay! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The staff’s hospitality was amazing they were warm, helpful, and made sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend for a relaxing and pleasant experience!
- Jessica (10/5): -
- Ralf (10/5): I highly recommend this resort. - The entire resort is beautifully designed with great attention to detail. The staff are incredibly friendly. The food is very good. It is very clean and is cleaned twice a day. Nothing
- Gauthier (10/5): Perfect - The staff is very welcoming and friendly!
From the moment we arrived, despite being late and outside of check-in hours, they were attentive and took the time to explain everything and help us get settled.
The breakfast is excellent, and the dishes we had one evening were delicious and of high quality as well! (Vietnamese specialties are on the menu!)
The rooms are beautiful and located in an eco-lodge. They are perfectly clean and have comfortable beds! (A big plus for the lovely scent of the linens!) And the view... is simply exceptional!
It's also possible to rent a scooter for the day through one of their contacts!
A big thank you again to the whole team! We will remember our stay with you.
Cảm ơn bạn rất nhiều !
- jethob (10/5): A must place to stay! - This place is phenomenal! With all the places that I stayed in Sapa this is my #1 favorite! Starting from Mr. Nam his hospitality is second to none! He always makes sure that our stay is the best, he took care of us really well! He is very funny, nice and loves to talk to the guest and making sure everyone is having the best experience during their stay. Food is also good! I been reading reviews to this place and multiple times I saw that their food is great and it did not disappoint!! Finally our room! Upon entering it will greet you with the best view of the rice terrace and it was BREATHTAKING! I don’t want to spoil anything anymore. But this should be on your top place to stay in Sapa. I will definitely come back here again!
