- Holly (3/5): Would not rebook. - Accessibility The bed I slept in was very worn out. There wasn’t enough lighting in the room and there wasn’t enough comfort with bedding and showering/bathing facilities . Poor room odor. Poor heat control. Overheated in the night creating poor sleep conditions.
- Jana (1/5): It was one night, but it was gross and we most likely will not ever return. - The location was good to the Cedar Point Sports facility. The bed was so badly concaved it was unusable. The room smelled very musty and moldy. The air system was off so it was freezing and smelly. The bathroom was dirty and had no shampoo or soap in the shower.

- Lance (1/5): Avoid at all cost. - Nothing. Horribly filthy facility. Rooms were very dirty and the furniture was in total disrepair with an tremendous amount of dust. Found dead bugs, dried blood and dirt in the sheets. They did not have any housekeeping services to remedy the situation. Only 1 working elevator for a very large facility. The pool water was green with lots of things floating in it. We did not dare to try the free breakfast and instead opted to drive to a local restaurant. We asked for management to contact us but have never heard from them. I have seen others complain about this and would expect the same standard respnse that was given to everyone else.

- Taylor (2/5): Very dirty and will not be staying here again. The price vs cleanliness was insane. - Housekeeping was slamming doors at 8am cleaning other rooms. Was using the lock to hold the door open. The hotel should invest in door stoppers. Every 30 seconds there was a door slamming against the deadbolt. Even after I went out to ask them to prop the door open instead, they ignored and kept slamming the door to throw out dirty laundry. Room was not clean at all. Spiders everywhere, blood all over the curtains and walls, and all the towels were stained. Extremely disappointing as this was not the case two years ago.

- Diana (3/5): I'll never stay at this location again. - How close it was to Cedar Point. The room we stayed in 502 was absolutely nasty in my opinion. Dirty all the way around. The mattress were Stained. The carpets looked like they haven't been vacuumed in a while. Even the curtains were stained. The bed sheets smelled funny and didn't seem clean. Can't believe I paid so much for such a poor quality room. I've stayed at the super 8 motel in Sandusky previously and that was much nicer at half the price. Never again will I bring my family To the Holiday Inn and suites in sandalski Ohio. ONE STAR...

- Amanda (4/5): Cleanliness of the rooms need drastically improved! - Location to Cedar Point was excellent! Bathrooms in both of our rooms during this stay were dirty.
- Amanda (4/5): Cleanliness of rooms needs to improve drastically at this hotel! - Location to Cedar Point is wonderful and staff was excellent! We stayed in two different rooms (due to room availability we had changed rooms on our second night) and both rooms were dirty. The hotel was sold out on both nights so we weren’t able to change rooms and since both rooms were dirty, I am pretty sure that all rooms were dirty in this hotel. The showers in the bathrooms need a deep clean!!!!
- tammy (9/5): Stay was good - Safe area, room was comfortable and clean, the phone was missing buttons to call front desk, nice shower, bed comfort was average Teenage kids roaming halls after midnight, sure they were just having fun, didn’t cause a disturbance, but was a little disturbing when we arrived. Buttons on phone were missing

- Abigail (5/5): Would not stay here again. - Pool was decent, nice furniture in there, and not crowded. The lady checking us in was incredible, and they had Carmel apples and apple cider in the lobby in the evening. Our room was filthy. Hair everywhere, on the beds, in the bath tub, all over the floor. Our beds weren’t made and the bed skirts on both beds were stained in what looked like blood.

- Marja (8/5): Great hotel, excellent location! - Clean rooms. Very convenient location if you are going to Cedar Point! Great breakfast in the morning and excellent coffee! This property charges your card on file the morning of your reservation, so be prepared. I chose pay AT the property. Also there is NO safe in the room. Beds were very uncomfortable but doable. Parking is in the back and you need to enter through the front (before you have a room key).

- Ashley (8/5): - The staff was super friendly, the check-in process was easy, and the breakfast was pretty good for a continental breakfast! Very convenient location to our plans at Cedar Point. The cleanliness of our room has room for improvement. Significant dust on the lamps, including a pair of glasses left over from a previous stay, that were not ours (showing the night stand is skipped over. The beds were made sloppy and some areas throughout room needed some additional attention. The pool definitely could use a good scrub around the water line.

Only complaint was the bathroom could have used a good clean as there was pink mold along the tub and gross grime all over the shampoo conditioner dispenser. 1 bed had a large stained comforter on the bed. But a quick call down and a new one was instantly brought up.

- Sightseer22920360353 (2/5): Horrible service - We had a horrible experience here on October 3, 2025. We arrived at midnight after driving for over 13 hours. The lady at the front desk, Ashley, couldn't find our reservation even though I had it up on my phone and she admitted it was all correct. I assumed she would do something about it since it was clearly an error in their system, but nope, she wanted me to make another reservation (for a higher price of course). She gave absolutely zero options or help and just stood there. I was, and still am, so shocked by how she acted, or rather didn't act. Just an insane response to the situation. I was so upset and walked away to the chairs to make calls for other hotels (again, it was midnight). I just wish people could imagine themselves in the situation. I don't think she would have appreciated getting the response she gave to us. Also, there was a group of guys in the lobby waiting as well and they said they walked in their room and it hadn't been cleaned at all. They were waiting before we got there and when we left 45 minutes later they were still waiting. This place clearly needs a major overhaul on service.

- Gregory (6/5): - When we walked into this hotel it smelled like cigarette smoke, old, moldy. The rugs were dirty and there were all kinds of stains on our floor. We always choose Holiday Inn Express because of its high quality and cleanliness. I was very disappointed .

- H7905LVrays (10/5): Best Stay on a 2 week trip - 8 motels - Recent long motor trip that included stays at 8 pet friendly motels. This was the best. Nice large, clean room with all the amenities. Beds were comfortable. Breakfasts above average. Service was excellent. The grounds were large and nice for walking our dog. The room was convenient to the cedar point park. Only disadvantage was the drive from the highway, but the place was worth the circuitous route from our GPS. We would make it a point to stay here again if in Sandusky

It was a quiet hotel didn’t hear kids running everywhere even though it was a full hotel full of families. The only reason the cleanliness was lower on the ratings was the pool was filthy. There was a film of white/clear stuff, hair and bugs floating on the top of the water.

- drewsC6384MZ (4/5): Dirty and Poor Service, Not Maintained and Not Worth your Time! - The good reviews must all be much older, because this place is a dump. The floor in my room was filthy, the chair broken and belonged in a dumpster, and the shower not reasonably cleaned. Attempted to move rooms, but the daytime front desk staff claimed there was nothing available. I pulled up the hotel's website on my phone, which clearly showed rooms available, and was told that was an error. The woman manning the front desk during the day was unpleasant, and I suspect she lied to me without checking so as not to be bothered. The problems extend beyond the guest rooms, with the overall property not well maintained. The men's bathroom on the ground floor doesn't have a functioning lock. While the location is great, it's not worth putting up with the unkempt property and poor service.
