- Arlene (8/5): - Property was probably dorm rooms. It wasn’t terrible. We didn’t really have occasion to interact with staff. We stayed one night on our loop around Iceland. The town doesn’t have much by way of restaurants. Keep expectations basic.

- Colin (8/5): Nice Accomodations - The hotel is operational only in the summer as it is otherwise a dorm for a school. However, the rooms were comfortable for our purposes. The rooms were well cleaned. The bed was quite comfortable. The provided breakfast was very good with lots of typical Icelandic options and choices more familiar to a Canadian. The staff were welcoming. Would recommend this as a relatively affordable option for your summer travels.

- xavier (10/5): -
- Amanda (6/5): - The room with a private bathroom was clean and sufficient. Its all a bit sterile as its a student dorm. The breakfast was basic. Easy to park and location was convenient.

- Borut (8/5): Udobna namestitev na severu - Dobra lokacija Na zajtrku precejšnja gneča
- Erna (10/5): -
- Adrian (8/5): Clean and pleasant stay - Clean None
- Sara (4/5): Disappointing -
- Pascale (7/5): Cheap night but very basic - Cheap Very basic rooms. No TV in the room.
- Computacenter (10/5): Excellent - Great hotel with plenty of local options to eat in the evenings. Very well kept trails to walk on from the door Nothing
- Timothy (10/5): - Conveinient to town.
- Rögnvaldur (8/5): Very good -
- Emilie (8/5): - It was adequate for a one night stay, dry clean. Rooms are small and bathroom is very small. But it’s a dorm room so to be expected. Breakfast was adequate.
- Mike (8/5): Very good -
- David (10/5): - Very basic and simple
- Kenneth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Francine (6/5): Pleasant - Clean, comfortable bed. Small room. Felt like a dorm room for a single person.
- JAMES (6/5): Good location and inexpensive - This is a high school dormitory that's converted to a hotel in the summer. The front deck person was terrific. The breakfast was so so.
- Brianne (10/5): - Close to walking trails to beaches and restaurants.
- Herdís (8/5): Very good -
- Gunnur (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tania (9/5): Great walking distance to good restaurant - Sauda - It was comfortable night’s stay nice clean rooms and great breakfast. Nothing
- Bjarni (8/5): Very good - Receptionist does not speak Icelandic
- Robert (5/5): A place to lay your head. - Breakfast was fine but hotel is not much to recommend. Breakfast was served 7.00 - 9.00 am. Considering we were on holiday and were out late to enjoy the daylight after 11.00pm, I would have appreciated an opportunity sleep-in, especially when checkout was 11.00am. Would have appreciated a time more suitable to holiday makers rather than time to suit proprietor.
Room was very expensive for what was not provided - i.e. a coffee pod machine. For the nightly fee, that is a small luxury that could be provided. Stayed in Reykjavic in a very superior room with all facilities, including a fridge, for 2/3rds the nightly rate.
- Guðbjörg (8/5): Very good -
- Bjarnadóttir (5/5): Passable -
- Steinthor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harald (8/5): - The building was actually a dorm for students, which is turned into a hotel during the summer. The furniture looks like a dorm room. The bathroom was tiny. Breakfast was average.
- Ágústa (9/5): Superb -
- Pedro (7/5): Good -
- Iulian (8/5): As we expected -
- Jónsson (6/5): Okey - Bregðast was good Internet was not working in the room
- Egill (1/5): Bad -
- Eyrun (5/5): Not worth the money you pay - Nice staff It’s just not worth the money. Beds are uncomfortable, the rooms in the basement are not nice, bathroom is tiny. They have breakfast, but only until 9.30. We had a better experience staying at guesthouses in the area, they are half the price and have better beds.
- Sanjay (8/5): A bit pricey but a good and decent hotel - Simple but clean and had basic facilities and nice location Bathroom amenities could be better
- Lovísa (6/5): Pleasant - The beds are soft and cosy Our room was as plain as it got, no tv, no extra comfort/cosyness. It literally was a bed and a table
- Greg (10/5): - Very nice stay. Very good value. Breakfast was very nice and include in the rate.
- Arna (8/5): Very good -
- Gabriel (8/5): Basic, clean, all we needed - No tv but we didn t miss it. Very basic in a true Nordic style, we did enjoy it and would stay again. Very clean, good parking and easy and friendly check in. Don t miss the restaurant just outside the hotel, Sauda I think it s called.
- Skulason (8/5): Very good -
- Sigrún (8/5): Very good -
- Ruby (8/5): - Loved staying in a school dormitory! Expect a smaller bathroom as such. Blackout curtains don't really help much. Ask to stay in the back side as there's a basketball court in the front. If kids are playing that bouncing ball will drive you nuts. Ample breakfast!
- Guðbjörg (4/5): Disappointing - No TV, nothing on walls so you can listen to the conversations next door. Breakfast was poor. Lacking more compairing to price
- Mark (8/5): Nice pleasant stay on our ring road drive - Staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and well maintained It is a converted college dorm so not fancy but functional
- Timon (6/5): Pleasant -
- Luca (8/5): Very good - Very nice reception staff Breakfast is quite poor
- Ragnar (7/5): Good -
- Eva (8/5): Nice for a short stay during the summer - Good location, helpful and friendly staff, very clean rooms w/private bathrooms and comfy beds. Good parking area also.
N.B. this is a dorm during school season so the rooms are basic with only beds and a desk in them. Facilities/amenities are in shared areas. Could not connect to the internet via wifi after 23:00 which reception was not able to sort out at the time, but said it unusual.
- Agnetha (4/5): Disappointing -
- Rochelle (7/5): Sparse but clean and comfortable - The breakfast was good, front desk was pleasant and friendly. These are dorm rooms. Very basic, although comfortable, for the price, people should be aware.
- Michael (8/5): - The thing you need to know about this property is that it is a school dormitory turned hotel for July and August. Now if you know this, the hotel is great. If you expected other you will likely be disappointed. Now it is clean hotel with newer furniture. No TV. Overall this was a great stop over place for our last leg of the ring road.
- SATYAJEET (8/5): - Safe and private
- Norman (8/5): - Nice, but scandinavian minimalist. Rooms are small because it used to be a school. Clean and modern. Within walking distance to the bakery and restaurants.
- ROBERT (10/5): -
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good basic stay - Good location in a dorm used as a hotel during summer months. Room was clean but spartan. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Our only issue was with the photos posted on Hotels.com showing an outdoor hot tub. This photo is taken at the local pool and should not be represented as being on the property.
- John (10/5): - Hotel was clean and staff was friendly
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great Staff Poor Hotel - All the hotel staff who helped us were lovely. The outdoor green area was not maintained properly and was full of insects and spiders. If you open the window on the ground floor all the insects will crawl inside. Disappointed how the breakfast was not managed either (run by a different company), usually hotels book time slots and tables if there are big groups. I would only recommend the hotel if you are passing through, lovely people but not worth staying more than a night.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice free breakfast and good views out across Skagafjörður from the room.
- Asgrimur H (8/5): Good family stay - Very pleasant stay, friendly staff and breakfast good. Room a bit small and without any comfort, beds good. Good location in a small town.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT STAFF. FACILITY AND AMENITIES WERE MINIMAL BUT ADEQUATE.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything great except the curtains were not black out. Not an issue for some
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Neat, clean and staff nice but no tv a 10x10 room and a 4x6 bathroom and shower. It’s a small dormitory room that is used as a hotel room in the schools off season. Way overpriced!
- Edmund (6/5): Hostel turned hotel during summer - Very decent sleep. Comfortable bed and decently good breakfast.
