Guest Reviews

- Jill (8/5): Love the apartment feel - Comfortable, quiet, very friendly staff, and convenient. We enjoy staying here while visiting MSU. I've stayed here a few times over the years, and the property could use a fresh up at this point.
- Kaitlyn (10/5): Comfortable, convenient, clean. - One word. Waffles. Potholes on the road it’s on, but that is totally out of the hotels control and I don’t fault them at all
- Jessica (9/5): -
- melanee (10/5): Excellent place to stay - Room is spacious and clean. The bed is very comfortable Nothing
- Paul (8/5): -
- JanToya (8/5): - Mary the front desk agent provided exceptional customer service. She was very attentive to my request. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. We will definitely stay at Residence again soon. Go Green!! There was a bug on my sheets. The bathroom had minor cosmetic issues. The coach had a few noticeable stains on the cushions.

- Dan (9/5): Peaceful location but close to the action, with very nice facilities - The room was spacious, clean, quiet, comfortable and very well equipped. The front desk personnel were uniformly friendly and efficient and the area around the hotel is very pleasant. Very close to the MSU campus, but in the woods. There's a large center in easy walking distance with a wide variety of restaurants and other services. The breakfast was OK, but rather unimaginative. I would have appreciated a wider selection of fresh fruit (bananas and apples, for example, in addition to oranges). I appreciated the EV charger, but one car was parked at it all day and night.
- Michelle (10/5): -
- Fred (10/5): - Clean and comfortable room
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Great spot!
- Ray (10/5): -
- Steve (10/5): Very Happy. - Always pleased with this hotel. Have stayed over a dozen times in 7 years. Staff is excellent, especially Mary at front desk.

- David (8/5): - Friendly staff, nice selection of breakfast items.
- Joseph (10/5): - We try to stay here whenever we visit our family in East Lansing. Mary is the best at the front desk. She always has a smile and makes you feel right at home. Great location for us to access highways and provides easy travel to any of our destinations.
- Katrina (10/5): - Clean, good facilities, nice view and privacy provided by greenery on shaded tree-lined side of property, really liked the layout of the suite.
- danieldY5414PG (10/5): Residence Inn East Lansing Rocks - Another fantastic stay thanks to the wonderful , hospitable , & fabulous Tracie & Mary. Looking forward to my next stay already. The best hotel team in East Lansing!

- David (8/5): Nice hotel but cold. - Everything was lovely except the pool area had no heat, you could barely swim for 10 minutes and you had to get out.
- Joseph (7/5): Good - Nice hotel; clean; well run; adequate breakfast; plenty of parking. We chose this hotel, in part for the pool. The pool was closed for 2 of the days of our stay—the hotel’s solution:
WE could go buy a pass at the local pool.
- Joseph (10/5): - We always stay at the Residence Inn when we stay in East Lansing. The rooms are clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. Rooms are omfortable, but could use a little updating

- Eugene (10/5): - The hotel seems new and very clean. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast on weekday was unexpectedly good (very diverse, with healthy options). On the weekend they seem to have a different policy, with a lot fewer options
- Paul (10/5): We often stay here, sometimes solo, sometimes as a family. Each trip is very comfortable and the staff members are grea - The staff are always friendly, very helpful, accommodating and professional. The breakfast included is such a bonus!! Parking is included and free. The train runs nearby (that’s an East Lansing not a hotel thing) maybe not great at first for light a sleeper but I still choose to stay at the Residence Inn for all other reasons.
- Allie (10/5): Amazing staff - Stayed 4 nights here for business. The staff was amazing and priced just right for what you got. I would stay again
- Kortney (8/5): - Property was clean. Staff was great. Breakfast was not good and there were not a lot of options available.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly staff - Super helpful and pleasant. Pool swim was a pleasant touch a few evenings.
- Tasha (10/5): - The staff at this hotel were exceptionally friendly and efficient! Great job hiring such customer service oriented staff. Hotel was clean and comfortable. We will definitely return.
- William (5/5): Passable -
- danieldY5414PG (10/5): Residence inn East Lansing is the bomb. - Chicago is home but Residence inn East Lansing is truly a home away from home when I visit family in the EL area. Had a wonderful welcome back check in process thanks to Greg at the front desk. He also met every request I had as I joked that I was " demanding Daniel " Thankful to Matthew who was working the over night as he was friendly & set up my wake up call. Erin & Emily do a wonderful job with the morning breakfast . Lindsay at the front desk was very attentive & went out of her way to help. Both Lindsay & Sarai were a ray of sunshine at the front desk. Andrew in engineering is a very hard worker & delivers excellent customer service. The team leader Tracie Kent has put together an outstanding staff! Look forward to my visit next visit in Spartan country ! Go green !
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- JeffA487 (10/5): Great hotel with beautiful rooms and amenities - Clean and beautiful room with a very courteous and helpful staff. The location was perfect for access to the stadium. Will definitely stay here when we return to East Lansing. Also, they have a great breakfast included. Lots of amenities. Great stay.
- Ruth (7/5): Good - That there where 2 seperate bedrooms, and a full kitchen There where no muffin tins or cookie sheets , very little to cook with
- Donald (9/5): Close to the Wharton Center and comfortable room - Lovely gathering area, where a great breakfast was served
- Deanne (10/5): - It was very quiet and the staff were helpful.
- Maureen (10/5): - The room is very nicely laid out. The room was quiet and very clean.
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kenneth (10/5): - Convenient to MSU campus and the Sparrow Health Pavilion.
- G4796RGchelseab (2/5): Terrible Managemeng and Lack of Customer Service - We were on the losing end of a system outage, resulting in being sent to The Doubletree as this Marriott was not able to check us in all weekend. We ended up paying more to stay elsewhere, we were charged for our original reservation that didn't happen and never received a call from management after many requests for one. I only received emails lacking full understanding of our situation from the GM (Jody), who has lied about communication regarding how to fix our issue. We two weeks out from our original issue with no retribution and have been left more and more frustrated by this hotels lack of customer service. If you have anything go wrong while staying here, don't expect them to make it right.
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (10/5): - Beautiful hotel. Activities such as a basketball hoop and a Pickleball court, as well as a fire pit and places to sit outside. Lobby also had lots of places to sit and a lot of activities going on. Upstairs, though, it was nothing but peace and quiet. Great spot.
- John (10/5): - The hotel is great. The staff is so courteous and helpful especially Mary at the front desk. The hotel is quiet and in an excellent location just off the Michigan State University campus.
- Joseph (9/5): Superb -
- Laura (10/5): - Easy access to everything we needed for the weekend event...friendly staff
- Paul (10/5): - Just around the corner from Hubbard Hall. Quiet, clean very nice well accommodated room and courteous staff
- San Juana (10/5): - Loved it
- nomadsister (10/5): There should be more Marys in the world! - One of the nicer Residence Inns that we have stayed in. We were here during move in week for MSU students and it did not seem overrun at all. Breakfast was always stocked, someone friendly and helpful was always at the front desk (no matter the time of day). Room suites were a very good size and clean and quiet despite being a fully booked hotel. The location was great - really close to campus (20 minute walk to our daughter's dorm in the east neighborhood of campus). There is also a Starbucks across the street inside a very nice athletic club/medical center. FYI Breakfast is only until 9am. Our favorite part of this hotel was Mary who was at front desk each morning-super helpful, upbeat and positive, engaging with the guests, especially the kids, telling them "They've got this!" and "It's gonna be a great year!" as they headed out to campus. It really was a great way to start the day. Thank you Mary and to the rest of the staff at Residence Inn for making the transition that much smoother. This will for sure be our place to stay whenever we visit our daughter!
- Johara (10/5): Exceptional - None
- Frank (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scott (9/5): Superb - Appreciate that the suite was stocked with silverware and other kitchen basics.
- Rosalie (10/5): - Friendly and welcoming staff.
- Lisheng (8/5): Very good - The staff there are super helpful and friendly The first floor is too humid…
- danieldY5414PG (10/5): Amazing RI EL team - I had to come to East Lansing from Chicago to visit a sick loved one . I am so grateful for Tracie Kent, Justin & the rest of the staff that made such a hard trip a more comfortable one. I hope Marriott knows what a gem Tracie Kent is. She's more than a GM. She's a true leader with a beautiful soul with a passion to truly serve others.
- Joseph (10/5): Hats off to Mary - We have stayed at other hotels in the East Lansing area and the Residence Inn is our favorite. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They react quickly to all requests. Special recognition to Mary at the front desk. She always has a smile and helps us secure our favorite room.
- Liz (10/5): - The property was perfect for our stay in Lansing. It was clean, well maintained and a great location. Nice outdoor areas if traveling with pets.
- Phoebe (10/5): - This is a great family and pet option. We’ve been here a few times. Lots of stores and restaurants around the area.
- Lauren (10/5): - Easy access to MSU, nice breakfast, spacious rooms, and free parking
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Great place to stay whenever we are visiting our daughter at MSU.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Sabrina Dressler - Very clean, very comfortable, great atmosphere, good customer service and fantastic amenities. My teens loved the basketball court and we enjoyed our breakfast on our recent trip to visit MSU. Very convenient to campus
- David (10/5): - Clean friendly staff and located in a safe area.
- Richard (8/5): ALL rooms are pet friendly.....perfect location for our trip.....perfectly designed room! - The room space was designed to perfectly provide for all your needs in its design. Our view from the first floor room was the woods!!! yay! ALL rooms in the hotel were listed as "pet friendly" and we did not realize this. The breakfast options were many but of poor quality. The yogurt served was almost out of date. The waffles had clumps of sugar in them as if the batter was not stirred properly. The omelets were cold and browned. The bagels were too hard to chew. The cereal was generic served in containers and noted no brand or ingredients. Many items at the in-house snack store were out of date (as pointed out by my husband to the staff ) and had to be removed from the store.
- Brian (10/5): The stay was great. We got plenty of rest. - The room was fabulous Parking was terrible. It was very crowded with cars and no visible availability. You literally had to wait for a car to leave to park.
- Jill (10/5): Love staying here while visiting my MSU student! - Love this location for all things MSU!
The free parking is wonderful and the staff is very friendly and the suites feel like a full apartment. A couple of the fixtures in the bathroom need replacement, but they are not unclean or unsafe, so not a big deal!
- Anita (10/5): - I love this place because it feels like you are in your own apartment. We enjoyed using the basketball court!
- Tanya (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (10/5): - The staff is incredibly friendly and kind. Room was very cozy and manageable.
- Ethan (9/5): Awesome thanksgiving visit! - Breakfast great but a bit of fruit would be a great addition. A yoga mat in the gym
- Eileen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maurice (9/5): Superb -
- Cristina (9/5): Great place to stay - The room has all the basics to spend some days or even weeks. The cleaning service is good and, besides, there is a gym and a swimming pool. Mattress could be more firm.
- Beth (10/5): - Very nice stay. Room was awesome. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
- Luwillis (10/5): - Safety, quiet, easy parking
- Stefan (10/5): - Friendly staff, comfortable bed, nice pool. But coffee at breakfast was too weak.
- Abdalmajid (10/5): One of the best places in East Lansing - I love staying at this location. The staff is very courteous and assist in so many ways. The hotel is always clean and it is like walking into a second homeawjen you get to your room
- Susan (10/5): - Clean safe easy to get to any activity
- sheilamV3360UZ (10/5): Residence Inn, is a Win! - The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, comfortable and well laid out! The shower was great! The breakfast was amazing - more than expected! The Inn was conveniently located near Hwy 127, which we were travelling on. Also very close to Costco!
- Janet (8/5): Very good - location Bacon with breakfast :)
- Genny (9/5): Superb -
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was so friendly and accommodating. This is where we will be staying on future visits.
- steven (10/5): - Quite and convenient, staff were all helpful and polite. Everything was clean and well maintained
- Mary (10/5): - Excellent room at a reasonable price. I wish I had known that it was a pet friendly hotel. I was told once I got there that they could not guarantee a room that had not had a pet in it. Most pet friendly hotels hold certain rooms that are "pet free". I have to say however that I could not tell any pet had ever been in the room. Would stay there again.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Ideal place to stay at in visiting our daughter at MSU.
- Jill (10/5): Excellent stay for all things MSU! - Very clean and comfortable home away from home. Great place to stay moving my student into MSU! Free parking is so helpful! Wished there was a hot tub with pool.
- Lisa (10/5): My stay was relaxing and peaceful. - Breakfast had a very nice variety! A list of allergens for items would be helpful.
- Jarred (10/5): Exceptional -
