• Jesus Amin (10/5): Muy buen lugar para descansar y a unos minutos del centro de la ciudad con un personal muy amable. - La atención del personal es excepcional. Arturo, Andrés, las señoritas de intendencia, todos fueron muy amables y me hicieron sentir como en casa. Si buscas un lugar limpio, confortable y seguro a donde llegar a descansar y a unos minutos del centro este lugar es super recomendable. Me encanto convivir con turistas de otros países por las mañanas en la hora en que ofrecen café con pan. Pudimos intercambiar experiencias sobre los atractivos de la ciudad y sus alrededores. La propietaria del lugar una dama encantadora y muy cuidadosa en todos los detalles que crean la experiencia del hotel. Las habitaciones no tienen aire acondicionado, para mí no fue problema pues la temperatura estaba muy agradable. Posiblemente en temporadas de calor el ventilador no sea suficiente. Creo que el ventanal del baño aún y cuando da a un espacio seguro debería de tener tela mosquitera para evitar la posible entrada de insectos o roedores.

• Geraldine (8/5): Great location, unbeatable value for money & awesome people - Professional & accommodating friendly family/staff. Fantastic communication before arrival and throughout stay. We arrived very late about midnight and we choose Hotel Camba because you just ring the bell at the gate & they’re right there to let you in. No extra charges or anything. Room 206 2 x singles (very comfortable) in a double room with a fan. Amazing housekeeping and water bottles supplied every day. Room is as per photos. We stayed 4 nights and were very happy. Its budget price, 5 minutes walk to the centre, free tea/coffee/bread rolls/croissants etc and all the usual tv, wardrobes, mirror, towels, toiletries etc. When you go out you hand your key to reception-I loved this. Means you don’t have to carry around or worry about losing it. On return ding the bell and they appear to give it back to you. Another plus is the seating areas. There’s about 3/4 areas with chairs and tables inside & out to chill and write up your diary. We loved it. 😻 Also got to chat to other travellers. A super generous Mexican couple even gave me some medicine for my upset stomach 😍 Could have done with a bedside table with drawers. Somewhere to put my water, bits & book. Although there are drawers in the wardrobe. The shower - ok so the hot water drops out (not sprays). However once it’s hot when you turn on the cold to get the right temperature, that’s when the pressure kicks in & you can have a lovely shower. Apparently it’s similar all over the area. Well worth the money for what you get.

• Dianna Lynn (10/5): - Older property in a quiet neighborhood that is walking distance from all the main attractions of the city. Very well maintained. The front desk staff are there 24/7 and super helpful. Just I block away is an organic restaurant El Pochote! Highly recommend it for breakfast lunch or dinner. Stayed 7 days and would definitely return!!!

This clean and cosy hotel is perfectly located close to everything and on a quiet street so there is no noise at night, The staff were wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. There were always staff at the desk and were very friendly and attentive, ready to help. Coffee and pastries were set out every morning. Wifi was good. Within a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Zocolo. The pillows were big but not soft. A minor complaint!

• Roohi (9/5): Excellent value for money for a short city stay. - Very clean, good hot shower stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. Lovely staff, Arturo, who responded promptly and politely to our messages before we arrived, we asked if we could check in early as we arrived in the morning which we were able to do. May not always be possible in busy times as very small hotel. We were also able to leave our luggage there after check out as had late bus. 10 minutes walk to markets and zocalo although nowhere in Centro is more than 25 minutes, we love to walk anyway. excellent value for money. They offered coffee and pastry in the morning which was nice. We felt safe and secure.

The location was walkable to the centre. The staff were lovely. Room a little small but really adequate for our needs and great value. Breakfast isn't much but that was expected. Liquid milk with coffee would have been appreciated (rather than coffee mate).

The beds are a bit stiff... We had some small ants on one of the beds, but I guess there is not much to do about it sometimes.

We were asked to leave our key at the reception when we left for lunch outside, which seems very uncommon to me (we didn’t do that, which was then also okay).

• Scott (8/5): clean, quiet, convenient - good for a shorter stay - Clean and the staff were all lovely in a quieter part just on the fringe of old town and very easy to walk everywhere. It's fine for a short stay It's a little dated straight out of the 60s maybe but adds character. There is no aircon and a little stuffy inside butt his is common in Oaxaca so had to have the windows open which could be a little noisy and the ceiling fan was either full speed or nothing

Our flight was canceled and we booked it @8pm and will check out at 3am so will sleep 7hrs or less and Expedia has been keeping us on the phone for over 20 minutes while we are trying to figure out our return home

Friendly staff! the room we had was very hot. It was 35C during the day, and our room was on the top floor and exposed to the sun all day. Consider requesting a ground floor room if the weather is above 30C.

There is noise and loud music at night during the weekends and expect to wake up at 6 am with the music they play at the breakfast area. You can hear everything from the adjacent rooms, and there is no control or rule about people checking out at dawn and speaking loudly while gettiing ready to leave. Coffee and sweet bread early in the morning is a nice touch.

• Peter (6/5): Positives but one big negative ….. - There are real positives - the rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, the beds comfortable, shower fine, there’s free tea/coffee and pastries in the morning and the staff are excellent. BUT …… The bedrooms need air conditioning. At night we were having to leave windows and doors open to let the rooms cool down. The fan simply circulated hot air. Other guests were doing the same. Made sleep difficult hence the low score.
• Hannah (9/5): Perfect affordable place to explore Oaxaca from - The hotel has a nice communal space for having a coffee/sitting outside and because of the gated reception the whole hotel feels very safe. Our room was spacious with two big comfy double beds. It’s not high luxury, but was perfect for what we needed and fantastic value! The staff were so lovely. Although there English isn’t great they went above and beyond for us. It was a lovely place to stay and ideal location to explore Oaxaca. The ‘breakfast’ provided isn’t really a breakfast - just pastries and tea/coffee - but it was still a nice extra!

• Ben (6/5): Beautiful and friendly but unfortunately very uncomfortable rooms. - The grounds are beautiful and the staff is super friendly. Also the coffee and baked goods in the morning are a nice touch and treat. The location was great - quite street with a short walk to the main sites in the historic center. It hurts me to say as the staff was very nice, but the rom we stayed in was quite uncomfortable. The beds were really bad. Probably doesn’t help that it’s a mattress sitting on a concrete slab. There were hardly any outlets in the room which meant you couldn’t charge devices conveniently over night. Overall everything seemed handed down to the hotel, which could be quite charming, but here it wasn’t. If the price had been much lower it would all have been as expected, but we paid the same as then the next few days renting a stunning apartment on Airbnb in a much better location.
• Juca1658 (10/5): Excellent location with spectacular staff - It's just what you need in a great location and within walking distance of everything downtown. It's clean and they provide hot coffee, tea and bread in the mornings. The shower size, pressure & temperature are very good. But what makes this place shine is the staff. They're trustworthy, caring, helpful, and friendly. One of the front desk staff members who stood out to us is Andres. They're all nice and have great follow-up on everything, but he was our go-to. He always smiled and was happy to assist and was an excellent resource. Also, it's extremely helpful that credible tour services are available for booking through the hotel. The tour services we booked through the hotel were of very good quality, trustworthy, reasonably priced, with a great combination of destinations, and they pick you up at your hotel. There aren't any elevators, but the staff is happy to assist you.
• Evan (9/5): Great value for money at Oaxaca - Extremely clean, very friendly & helpful staff, great value for money. Music in the lobby for people breakfasting starting at 7.30 am, waked me up the two nights. But I am a light sleeper.
