• ALEXANDRU (10/5): Amazing little Gem in Cusco - The hotel is located a bit outside of the old city centre (20m walk or 7m Uber) however the walk to the city centre is very pleasant through the streets of San Blas neighbourhood, peppered with nice stores and restaurants so you can get a glimpse of city life in Cusco. The location is very safe and conveniently located close to stores, restaurants, laundry service etc. It was a great spot to use as a base for all excursions and visits in the city. The hotel is very clean, and very well managed - the staff is kind and very helpful (Chantal and Ronnie were delightful - as were the rest of the staff). Breakfast is served in the room and it is fresh and plentiful, giving us a lot of energy for the high altitude treks we did. Another plus is that if you are lucky to have a suite with a view, you will get a beautiful sight of the city of Cusco. We went in late August and the weather was chilly so be aware that temperatures can drop close to 0-5 Celsius in the night. The hotel does provide a personal heater if you request, however do pack sweaters - incidentally the markets offer a beautiful array to choose from. Overall an amazing stay and wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for any visitors.

• LARRY ADAM (2/5): - I want to start by saying that I love Cusco—this city is incredible, and absolutely worth visiting. But my experience at Rhouse was disappointing not because of the cold or minor inconveniences, but because of how the staff handled our discomfort. The room was freezing at night, and there’s no central heating—only a single small plug-in heater, which wasn’t enough for two people. I politely asked for a second heater. The response? A flat “no.” No explanation. No attempt to help. Just “no.” It was only after I said I would leave a review that they suddenly said, “Actually, we can bring you another heater.” That moment told me everything I needed to know about their approach to service. It’s not about guest comfort—it’s about protecting their image. I wasn’t even planning to leave a review at all, despite the cold, the lack of hot water, or the weak Wi-Fi—all of which were mentioned in previous reviews. I was willing to let it go. But what I can't ignore is how they chose not to help until they felt pressured publicly. This isn’t about amenities—it’s about how you treat people. They could’ve done better, and they chose not to. That’s what guests should really be aware of. Cusco is amazing. Just be thoughtful about where you stay.
• Matt (10/5): - I stayed in Cusco and had a great experience. The location was convenient, close to the main square, and within walking distance of several local spots worth checking out. The staff was respectful and helpful when I needed anything, and the space itself was clean and well-kept. One thing to note is that Cusco’s altitude hits hard if you're not used to it. I appreciated that coca tea was available. It helped. Overall, it was a solid stay and a good base for exploring the Sacred Valley and preparing for Machu Picchu.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent Hospitality - This was our first time in Cusco and a lot of adjusting to less “city-like” etc. so we didn’t have high expectations of a 5-star stay but this place was perfect for our family and the hosts were excellent. We felt safe as they locked up at night, breakfast was included, gave us great recommendations for food places, gave us cocoa leaves for the altitude adjustment. Nice place to stay if you’re looking to explore and need someone knowledgeable about the city.

Can feel a little unsafe, most businesses lock their doors even throughout the day. And it got noisy during the night because of the dogs outside. But the apartment itself was gorgeous and just as listed in the photos.

Then we went to machu picchu and they were able to accommodate our luggage. We returned happily for an extra night before returning home. • Laura (8/5): Great space. - It was a great space for our group of 5 and nice that they bring breakfast to your apartment. Rooms were big. No hot water on first night but fixed quickly in the morning. It’s an 18 min walk from main square which is fine in the day but you wouldn’t do it at night (also uphill) taxis are cheap though. Place is dated and there is no communal area in the hotel. Wouldn’t stay here if I was solo.

As there is no air conditioning in the unit, at night it was very cold, the staff gave me one more heater and more blankets immediately which made my family feel warmer. When we left to Machupicchu in the early morning at 6am, the staff still gave us five bags of breakfast which was good. The rooms were also very nice and clean. Overall the staff were attentive and the rooms were comfortable. We recommend people to stay here.

Clean rooms and a decent breakfast delivered to the communal kitchen. Each member of the team were very helpful and pleasant. A good price reflected in the 10-15 minutes walk to the centre.

I will however say that the staff were very friendly and helpful. All of them were very nice. It’s also in a good location. It’s about 15 minute walk in one direction to the historical center and about 15 minutes in the other direction to the big mall that has smartfit. No real complaints

As tourists we reliedbon wifi to get around. Not having it in the hotel meant we had to go to a restaurant tobise wifi. Additionally, though we stayed for over a week, they did not changebour bed sheets nor towels, claiming that it was their covid protocol. It was also uncomfortable having to call to ask for toilet paper, sincebthe rolls that they have, were all quite small. Overall the people were kind and the place was good but not having wifi, and the aformentioned made us wish we had gone to another place we had considered.

• Marko (4/5): Don’t go there!! - This hotel looks nice, but it is NOT! First, it is located far away from the touristic « plaza de Armas ». You have to take a taxi or Uber to go there. Also, we went there in March and the night temperatures were around 1 c• (2 F) and there is NO heating!! We were frozen ! On top of that, no warm shower! I also found a spider inside of the bed. I do not recommend this hotel.

Breakfast in the morning coffee bread cheese fruit We left for tours at 4.30 am and they had packed doggy bags with breakfast. Had some issues with hot water. Otherwise nice cozy place. • Joyce (2/5): Terrible hotel - We specifically booked a room with two queen beds for three people. We were given two rooms in a shared apartment with other guests. The two rooms were not adjacent to each other and because we were travelling as a family, we had to share toiletries etc. It made our stay very inconvenient and uncomfotable. We did not expect to share an apartment with other guests. The rooms are tiny, no space for suitcases. The sheets and beddings were not clean, the whole place was dirty. There was no toilet paper until asked. Hot water in the shower was not working. After we complained, it was fixed but the water pressure was extremely weak, you could not have a proper shower. There was no hot water at the sink. The Wi-Fi was not working. Not one thing was satisfactory.

• Ricardo (10/5): Nice and Friendly Hotel in Cusco - This is a well located apart Hotel in Cusco. It is a 15 to 20 minutes walk to downtown and main square of Cusco. The hotel provide a good breakfast and the staff is extremely friendly and are always ready to help in whatever is needed. There are plenty of restaurant options around and taxis are always available. I and my family spent nice days in this hotel.

• Luis (10/5): Hotel R House Cuzco was fantastic. - Percy and the staff at R House Cusco were great. Apartment was exactly what our family of 5 needed to feel right at home in Cuzco. I would highly recommend for anyone traveling to the area.
• Ed (8/5): - The hotel was not what we expected, based on the website and pictures. The room was very cold, the hot water was not working. One of the windows was missing the glass. However the staff were friendly and helpful provided information about the area and tours.
• lo (10/5): Excellent service and staff, but... - Everything was perfect, but there was no wifi in the rooms, only in the common areas and lobby... not convenient. And the hot water ran out often, so that wasn't comfortable.
• Dawn (8/5): Large apartments - A good stay. The staff were extremely helpful & caring. They even provided me with a "doggy bag" breakfast on the morning I left at 5am. I did not request it & figured I would miss breakfast as it was too early. It was much appreciated on the long drive ahead. A nice, caring touch.
• Scott (8/5): Good Stay - We had a good stay. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The only thing that I did not like about the stay was the policy that $10 will be charged each day for any dirty dishes left. This means a guest must clean there dishes everyday or they will be charged. We stayed multiple days, so a more reasonable policy would be a guest is charged $10 for dirty dishes for anything left at the end of their stay, instead of on a daily basis.

• Kelly (8/5): - The one issue we had was transferring from the airport to the hotel (20 min drive) AND from the train station to the hotel (2 hours) .. both times we were met with a 5 seater car with 4 people in our group and 2 reps to ride with us. 4 of us in the back seat was not ideal, especially after trekking the mountain for 4 days. Staff at the hotel was courteous and helpful, storing our bags while on the trek and allowing us a few extra minutes to check out after a long day the day before.

My only complaint is that is cold and there is no heat like any other hotel in the cusco area. But overall. I recommend it. • Andrea (10/5): Great hotel close to plaza de armas - We had a great experience at this hotel. We were a group of 7 and were accommodated in a penthouse with 4 rooms and each one had a restroom in it. when we arrived, the apartment was very clean and everything was organized. The staff also brought us breakfast each morning and cleaned our apartment every day. The area was nice and quiet and we were only about a 15 minute walk from the city's main area which is the plaza de armas. The only thing that I would not recommend is the food from the delivery menus that were provided at the hotel. We ordered food from one restaurant one day and it was terrible. Then we gave a pizza restaurant a try that the menu was provided at the hotel and it was horrible as well. Overall, it was a wonderful experience at this hotel and would recommend to anyone. We felt very safe and comfortable at Hotel R House in cusco.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Would stay again! - Stayed twice, they held our luggage while we went to Machu Picchu. Both times they gave us a heater. Both times they made us breakfast to go. They helped us get tours and taxis. Apartment was nice to have and that's where they brought us breakfast.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Very close to Market! - Needed to leave early for Machu Picchu tour and the hotel prepared a breakfast for us to take. If we needed smaller pillows they changed them. Very helpful staff. Helped us set up the tours. Nice clean Hotel with interesting set up. One large apartment can accommodate three different sets of rooms. One large family could stay and share and have a whole apartment to themselves. The hotel placed us in a room where no one else was staying so we had the whole apartment to ourselves. Breakfast was brought for us to have in our apartment. Would definitely stay again.

• josh (8/5): Modern apartments ideal for families or groups - Basically they are renting out rooms in large very modern apartments. All the rooms have locking doors and bathrooms. They are very clean and the staff is very friendly. Located a 10 minute walk from Cusco center. I rented a room by myself and had a great stay but it's really geared for a group or family. I had a room on the fifth floor and the view was pretty amazing.

Excellent rooms and breakfast. Ham, eggs, cheese cooked,when you requested so nice and hot. Location at night you needed to taxi, but during the day a nice walk.
