Guest Reviews
- utpal (8/5): Moroccan Home oasis - Great for an experience in tranquility for morrocan modern jome oasis.
Good if you car to mice around or can go by taxi.
May not be good for business traveller as it is hime stay but i dis ot for experience and it was very good.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Rooms were clean and nicely decorated however a little dated. Good spot for an overnight before an early flight as it is close to the airport!
The man who checked us in and was around in the morning was not friendly at all and appeared that it was a chore to provide any assistance.
Other than that nice place!
- Alejandro (10/5): - I loved everything but more the server is always asking what do you need or what do you want for dinner
- JOAO BATISTA (6/5): Needs renovations - Quick check in. Room was expand nice and WiFi was ok in the room. The pool water looked very dirt and the staff was very rude when we were swimming saying we were creating a big mass in the deck pool floor because we were agitating to much the water. My wife was just maxing a simple leg exercise in the water. The problem was that the pool was to full and any movement in the water would make the water goes outside the pool. The hotel needs renovations and the breakfast is very simple (we had a great breakfast in a hotel of the same level and price in Riad, much better that this one). Also need to clean the dust we found in the furniture everywhere. I general the area is quiet and safe. We needed a car to go to Casablanca city center.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This property was a really nice surprise. It is beautifully decorated with large bedrooms and lots of hot water. Dinner and lunch is available upon request. Also, Dar Diafa was reasonably close to the airport. Another plus.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everyone was very nice. When our taxi wasn’t sure of where the place was, the driver called and someone from the hotel not only talked to the man but also stayed out the property so that we knew where it was. The place was beautiful and very clean! They accommodated is for breakfast knowing we had an early flight. This was the only Dar in two weeks of travel that had a hair dryer which is a small thing, but was so handy! It is about 20 min to the city one way and 30 min to the airport which was great! Highly recommend staying here!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful hotel .
Decorated with taste.
The food was delicious .
Great place to relax
- A (10/5): - Beautiful hotel and great rooms. But expensive lunch and bathrooms need better locks.
- André (10/5): - The food was very delicious,
The house was very nicely decorated.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A bit out of the way but well worth it.
The food is prepared by the grandmother and the most authentic 'Moroccan' food we found in Casablanca.
Rooms are spacious
- Richard (8/5): Rustic home exotic Moroccon feel - Really nice kind of rustic home feel. Felt like a visit with family. Food was authentic and delicious. Wasn't really close to anything. Room had to be heated with a space radiator.
- Richie (8/5): - Nice place to stay. The manager was friendly and the food was great. If you are coming from America you need to stay here to get the true Moroccan experience.
- Lisa (8/5): Felt like home - The place was very nice. The room was comfy. It was in a residential neighborhood without any other restaurants within walking distance. They served food that was good. We left to early in the morning for breakfast but the dinner was good. It was convenient to the airport. The ac worked well.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Stay at your own risk!!! - HORRIBLE! We arrived and there was construction going on. It was noisy, it smelled of paint, and we could not use the lobby or the pool. We would have never stayed there had we known this. All the staff did was apologize- it did nothing to get back the wasted time and money. Also, the breakfast was just a bunch of bread. I actually had to ask for some eggs! Yes, the house is clean and nicely decorated, but the management is completely unprofessional!!
- Frédéric (10/5): - Accueil chaleureux. Grande serviabilité. Hébergement spacieux et calme, très bien décoré
- bernard (10/5): Je recommande!
- Joseph (10/5): - Great staff and decorations. In spite of an early arrival the owner accommodated our needs. Wonderful breakfast too.
- Yung Ling (4/5): - Worst breakfast ever, nothing cooked, coffee was instant powder type. Room doors no keys, entry to property no keys. Host did not want to be bothered, called his friend taxi when we needed ride to closest McDonald’s (3km) and was quoted dh 200 which was robbery. Neighborhood has nothing and TV had 1000 Chanells of Arab and French took an hour to scroll through all Chanel’s to find the single English Chanel (a Chanel guide would have helped). Remote did not work, had to repair.
- silvano (8/5): Very nice and quiet place in Casablanca - Everything as expected, a really quiet place non so far from Casablanca city centre and its point of interest
- Dayne (10/5): Their home was our home. - Our 4th visit at this riad. Consistently a pleasure.
- rachid (10/5): Truly amazing - Great experience, beautiful property and really friendly staff and an amazing atmosphere
- Leah (4/5): Wouldn't stay again - The hotel is in a really bad location. A taxi to the city area was organised by the younger guy at the hotel for 100 dirhams. He initially said 70 but then it got changed to 100. When we got a taxi ourselves it was 40 dirhams. We tried to get SO many uber drivers to pick us up from the hotel and they would all just cancel. we literally had about 20 ubers cancel on us. probably not the hotels fault but it ended up being a bit stressful as the location was just out of the way. we only stayed for 2 nights though.
Upon arrival our suitcases were taken up stairs which was nice. the older guy there is really nice but we found the younger guy to be quite rude at times, not sure if this was a language barrier or if he was just in a bad mood.
The first thing i noticed was the toilet had poop in all around it which was definitely not nice. the bathroom bin had a few things in it still which showed the bathroom pbviously wasnt clean. Rain shower looks nice but you turn it on and watch sprays in all kinds of directions as i think the water holes need a good clean or maybe its just old. Sheets were nice and clean and the blinds kept out the morning light which was nice. We ate at the hotel one night which was really delicious food for 300 dirhams. We were told its usually 400 though. the food was good but thought this was expensive as al mounia charged the same price and that restaurant is really highly rated and supposed to be pricey/posh.
- Jerald (10/5): Perfect stay - Staff was really nice.
- Marios (8/5): Very good for short stays! - Stayed overnight (twice) on arrival and before departure from Casablanca. The hotel is actually very good and the rooms and the common areas are unique in their decorations...the only minus is the location. There is pretty much nothing around. On the plus side, it is located close to the main traffic arteries, so getting anywhere (north or south) is dead easy!
- Lynne (10/5): Beautiful décor - Great food, friendly staff, beautiful décor! Made me feel like a princess.
- Christine (10/5): Restful - It was beautiful and an atmosphere of serenity.
- Michael (10/5): Great hotel, closer to airport than city - We had a great two days at Dar Daifa. The host was very friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were large and very nice. We are one night at the dar, and the meal was lovely, a nice chicken tagine. It is a 20 minute trip to the city centre, so getting a petite taxi to take us there was a challenge, but it is a quicker transfer to the airport. Would highly recommend!
- Steve (8/5): - First time in Morocco. Didn't know what to expect. The neighborhood seemed fine to me. Was exactly what I wanted halfway between airport and beach. Uber to beach was 4 bucks. The owner was very nice and helpful. They have something like hurricane shutters to keep the room fairly dark and quiet.
- Gus (10/5): Hidden Oasis Near the Airport! - Highly recommend this place if you have a connecting flight or to escape the rush of the city!! Most welcoming and caring staff.
- Ron (8/5): Good stay in a quiet area for a reasonable price - We booked for 2 days in this good riad. The riad felt welcoming and quiet.
After one night they had booked another riad for us and we were told to move there, because some high-placed guests were arriving. Then during the day we were called that we should still stay the night in this riad, because they had 'solved' the problem. When we came back it seemed like the high-placed guests had chosen to sleep elsewhere.
- Rob (10/5): Very peaceful hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. - I stayed at Dar Diafa on a stopover in Casablanca before flying from the airport again in the morning. Beautiful hotel., beautiful room, nice breakfast.
I got a taxi from the airport which proved expensive so I didn't book the same airport taxi back in the morning. The hotel was kind enough to drop me back to the airport in the morning at a reduced price. Very helpful. Thanks.
Kamers sfeervol ingericht. Verlichting is minimaal. Deur kan niet op slot. Personeel doet zijn best.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Exellent little hotel, in suburb of Casablanca - The staff was exellent. They even drove out to us when we were unable to locate the hotel ourselves. Very friendly and beautiful place!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Arriving/departing from Casa Airport? - friendly staff
clean and modern house, repurpose into a sort of B&B
on a residential street located in a periphery of Casa- ideal for those who want to avoid downtown chaos
better if you have your own transportation - parking is on street
easy access from/to highways: Rabat, Meknès/Fès, Marrakesh
only 20 minutes from Mohammed V airport, needed one night stay as we were leaving the next day, definitively recommended for that purpose, stay longer if priced right
- Abraham (8/5): - Good hotel for our first stay in Morocco
- Maurice (10/5): - Very nice guesthouse, staff very helpful and friendly. Decoration and the relax vibe were great. We enjoyed our time at Dar Diafa, would strongly recommend.
- Mookhtar (10/5): Mookhtar - Receptionist lady very helpful
- Mary (8/5): Comfortable Hotel - Friendly Staff, comfortable and nice room, we stayed for one night, all ok .
Hamid and Khalil were very helpful to us.
- Charles (10/5): A Beautiful Oasis! - Truly a wonderful place. We stayed two days and have nothing but good things to say. There are just 4 rooms and we peeked into the other three. We definitely had the biggest, but they all looked nice.
Meals were awesome. Actually, everything was awesome!
If there's any downside, it is that the hotel is super-hard to find (absolutely no signage) and there isn't anything close-by (restaurants, etc.). But it is fairly close to the airport and well outside the traffic craziness of Casablanca.
- MH (4/5): Hotel staff did not allocate me to the right room, - When I reached a hotel, I showed the copy of Expedia booking confirmation to her. She did not ask me to fill in the form or anything. She introduced me to one room, which was not the room where I booked. I felt that the room was small, but I trusted her (hotel staff) fully. - She downgraded me. - I wish I could have discovered it immediately. Neverthless, the owner took 850 Euro, which is not the price where I stayed. It was so bad. I trusted him, but I should have asked him to return 200 Euro, as they put me a smaller room. (I booked a Malakesh room, but they put me a smaller/cheaper room). They called a taxi, but taxi too 300 Euro from a hotel to the airport. (the owner informed me that the taxi will charge me only 250 Euro.) all went so bad.
- Verified traveler (8/5): better accommodation near town center can be found - pleasant initial impression; the breakfast was delicious and on time even when we had to leave early the last morning; the hotel is 1/2 hour from downtown, a $15 taxi ride if the taxi driver does not cheat you the way he cheated a couple of fellow travelers charging them $10 for a $2 ride; this was a taxi trusted by the hotel; the young man at the reception could not answer most of the questions we asked; the hotel had no map of the city or any other information a tourist might appreciate;
- Verified traveler (10/5): Awesome place off the beaten path - This is a riad, NOT a hotel. Much more social and meals are provided on request. The food is beyond excellent, the staff and owner are wonderful, and the rooms are comfortable and quiet.
It is difficult to find, however. From the main highway from the airport follow signs for Sidi Marrouf. You take a left off the first exit and cross the highway, then left at the roundabout and take your first right. About one km down take a right just before the mosque (you'll see the minaret) then your first right. It's the last door on the left number 45 with a very small sign on the door. Totally worth the effort!
