- Excursion779068 (10/5): Stunning, peaceful Hotel in idyllic location. - Absolutely loved this hotel. Such a peaceful setting in nature. Bikes provided to get around the resort if needed. We had rooms 8 and 9 both next to each other - each had a small garden with pool. The hotel also has a large main pool which is very nice.
We only ate breakfast and lunch at the hotel as we preferred to go out to Sian Riep in the evenings. The food was great and pancakes and waffles or eggs cooked to order.
We organised our excursions to Angkor Thom and Wat through the hotel. The guide and driver were excellent and I would thoroughly recommend this rather than trying to do it yourself as it is so hot and would take a lot longer doing it yourself. They provided us with lots of chilled water and chilled towels which was appreciated!
The hotel has a tuktuk service that takes you into town. This is fantastic. A real plus point of something that is fun and convenient. We made full use of this every evening.
One thing we did which is not mentioned in the hotel excursions was a trip to the local circus. This is a charitable endeavour to support local artists. It was not expensive to get tickets - the performance was about an hour and it was so well done. Highly recommend as part of an evening in Siam Riep. The tuktuk picked us up afterwards and took us into town.
Finally, a note about the staff. All very lovely, kind people, who were keen to help however they could. An absolute credit to the hotel.
We would definitely return here.

- Bossofthe (10/5): Cambodian Village Luxury - This is a classy hotel in every respect. Wonderful styling inspired by Cambodian village architecture. Set among rice fields it has a peaceful feel but is also the epitome of luxury. The food and service is world class. Has the quality of a a luxury chain without feeling cookie cutter. Highly recommend.
- new_world_travellers (10/5): Stunning place! - We stayed 4 nights at Zannier in Siem Reap and it was absolutely stunning. The property is incredible and an amazing place to relax after the visits. The pool area is fantastic and the rooms are great. The staff is also incredible and the service is top notch. One of the very best hotels I have visited in the World!

- Winkster001 (10/5): Simply stunning! - A fantastic oasis of calm and tranquility, set in spectacular yet peaceful surroundings.
We’re just coming to the end of a 4 night stay in a pool villa at Phum Baitang. The villas are spacious, very clean, comfortable and very well maintained. All staff are incredibly friendly and greet you with a bow every time they see you.
Restaurant food and service are excellent.
Even the hotel remork (tuktuk) drivers are incredibly friendly and provide an excellent service.
My only criticism is that we booked the fine dining restaurant for my birthday but found out that day, completely by chance, that it was closed as the hotel was quiet. Luckily, both of the hotel restaurants are excellent so we didn’t feel cheated - and they even bought a surprise birthday cake to our villa after dinner.
Overall, a perfect resort, both to explore the temples and Siem Reap area but also to relax and unwind. I can’t recommend Phum Baitang enough!
- Jacqueline (9/5): Very special 4 nights here . Didn’t want leave . - Stunning property away from the busy centre . Has a rural feel which is calm and peaceful . We had a pool room , beautiful decor and very spacious .
2 restaurants serving lovely food .
Hotel helps with tours we did Angkor Wat with a private guide .. go at sunrise it’s awesome ! Also did the village tour . Room for improvement at breakfast .
- wheretonext1973 (10/5): Authenticity in Siem Reap - Visiting Cambodia for the first time this hotel did not fail to disappoint. From the off set it maintained a high standard.
Staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for you.
The location was set out of the main hustle and bustle of Siem Reap which had negatives and positives.
Room was wonderful amongst the rice paddy fields. Being able to mooch about the grounds with a bicycle 🚲 added to their authentic approach.
Breakfasts wonderful with lots of choice. Both restaurants delivered delicious food with traditional local foods as well as international dishes.
On our last night we had a truly lovely meal served by Hainah at Hang Bay restaurant, who was wonderful. She served us well and managed the children that a rather rude French couple had left to their own devices to run around bothering other guests during their meal. They had no manners but she was first class.
Trips organised prior to visit to Angkor Wat and elephant sanctuary. Both experiences enhanced by the tuk tuk rides, which are an absolute must whilst visiting.
Would highly recommend staying here but guests must know that it is not in the thick of things in main town.
Thank you so much for your hospitality and the parting gift of rice from the fields. Much appreciated
- Lisa (10/5): A piece of paradise in Siem Reap - Everything
- Matthew (10/5): Wonderful - Everything Nothing
- SHFAB (10/5): Wonderful Zannier 🤩 - Wow wow wow, have absolutely loved our 3 night stay here at ZPB - it’s been everything we were hoping for and more - the authenticity is simply breathtaking, the attention to detail here is so considered and appreciated, the layout, the architecture, the styling and the pure sound of nature is so captivating and from the moment we arrived we welcomed the peace from city life we were craving.
The service throughout all departments has been exemplary as has been the food - the taste, presentation is just faultless.
I don’t want to give any more away as this would spoil surprise additions to the stay.
Suffice to say this is a MUST stay - we stayed in a pool villa which was fabulous, beautiful appointed and very private - the verandah rooms are also just as gorgeous too.
Perfectly situated for the essential visit to Angkor Wat and Ta Phom (we took a tuk tuk and so pleased we did this instead of a car) as it really added to the overall experience).
Zannier has certainly set the bar high for the rest of our trip, a truly unique, very special haven, for which we feel so thankful to have experienced ❤️

- Kowalska (10/5): Increíblemente bonito, remanso de paz y atención impecable -
- brendalP5796DL (10/5): Zannier hotel in Siem Reap! Loved it… - Gorgeous property and fantastic service! Everyone was gracious and helpful and we’d love to especially call out Mei. She was always at the ready to answer all of our questions, make bookings and give us helpful advice. Would definitely go back!
- JeanFelipeL1 (8/5): Fine, but could be more private - The service in the hotel is outstanding. Very engaging and warm hospitality from the staff.
The Villa had some positive and negative points. It was spacious and mostly fine, though I did notice how the sheets in the bed were not as luxurious as those from other properties I stayed along this trip.
What annoyed me the most, though, was that I booked a Villa with a pool, hoping to wind and relax during the day. The pool was of good size and depth, but the overall atmosphere was not very relaxing. The Villas sit 3 steps higher than the ground, and that makes for a big gap in which people can see you in your deck, you can see everything happening around you, including the constant traffic of housekeepers and guests coming and going. There is no real partition between the villas, and some are really quite close to one another.
I thought it was a fine stay, but I am not sure I would book a room with a pool again.
- Stonepink (10/5): A lovely peaceful stay! - Loved our unit and our bikes. Rustic and elegant with a fabulous bathroom. The private pool was nice after a day of exploring. The pools are not heated so expect a bit cooler at night. The food was excellent although breakfast could have a bit more variety. The turn down local treats were all fantastic. Service at the restaurant was friendly and attentive. The wines were very nice. The massages were fantastic and relaxing and I was able to get a last minute pedicure.
Although staying in town would have been more convenient to explore the city, we really enjoyed the laid back part of the resort after hours of exploring.
The 5am sunrise over Angkor Wat is a bit overrated with hundreds of people crowding on top of each and tempers running a bit high at times. Getting there at 6:30am or 7am provides photos that are just as good. Our local guide was fantastic and introduced us to the restaurant Haven in town which is serving as a training for youth and education about human trafficking. The food there was also fantastic.
Sundowner cocktails at the resort was a lovely experience. Loved the water buffalo, the rice fields and the stunning setting. Would highly recommend Zannier!
- Sarah (10/5): A beautiful hotel, staffed by charming helpful people in a stunning location. - Delicious. By the pool with lots of wonderful local produce.
- Mathias (10/5): - Tolle Anlage!
Super Service auf höchstem Niveau!
Vorzügliches Essen.
Ein Ort zum wohlfühlen.
Kommen gerne wieder. Nichts, alles perfekt .
- Aksana (10/5): Perfect - Very beautiful surroundings, amazing views, cozy wooden villas, all new and comfortable. Delicious food, great stuff. Spa is also very cozy and wonderful service.
Definitely recommend while visiting Angkor Wat.
- IanGordon1959 (10/5): Possibly the best hotel experience I’ve had world wide - I’ve stayed in many 5* hotels across the world and this is certainly in top 2 or 3. Setting is fabulous, room spacious and thought of everything for comfort. Staff were very attentive and utterly polite. Great food too and yet only a short taxi to seam reap if want to dine out. Yes it’s expensive esp for Cambodia but can see exactly what paying for.
- alicevarini (10/5): The place to be to enjoy SLOW LIFE - Perfect. What else can I say. I just stay 1 night for work purpose and it was so relaxing I feel like I recharged my batteries enjoy succulent food at hang Bay and Bay Phsar restaurant. Without forgetting the delicious, diversified breakfast. The room and bed are just heaven and the bathtub just perfect dimension to relax and let it go ! I could spend a better stay.
All the staff where very smiling, preventing all my needs and calling me by my name I just felt at home.
I haven’t get the chance to trip the spa but the treatment and experiences proposed there looks just so unique.
They shop is nicely furnished with Jewelries in Gold, Cambodian gemstone and Pearl and all product included fashion pepper and accessories are made from local designer and fit sustainability standard. A very nice selection!
Merci beaucoup Phum Baiteng.
- Michael (9/5): If your budget allows - stay here! How hospitality should be - Such a special property. Obvs not a “real” rice field but it’s absolutely beautiful. Remote but only 10-15 mins from town. Hard to fault
- hhhtheone (10/5): Probably the most beautiful hideaway we have ever been to! - Once you have enjoyed a stay at Zannier Phum Baitang, it will be difficult for any other hotel to even come close to matching this standard. Check-in takes place directly in your room or bungalow. These are equipped with comforts that exceed the amenities of a five-star hotel. Every evening after turndown service, you will be surprised with a local delicacy specially prepared in the kitchen. The pool is generously sized and offers relaxation in a beautiful oasis. The staff are friendly and courteous and know the guests by name. It is also worth mentioning that you can hire the hotel's own tuk-tuk to visit the town, which is then available for the return journey. There are many more little things that could be mentioned, but that would go beyond the scope of this review. Suffice it to say that everything here is well thought out and perfected. The cuisine in the restaurants is top-notch and the wine list offers something for everyone. Wine is also available by the glass.
- Sumie (9/5): 美しい環境でカンボジアの休暇を満喫 - 朝食 アメニティは最小限。夜到着したせいか部屋の説明がなく冷蔵庫のものなど無料か有料かわからないままだった。
- Trip68437329879 (10/5): The Best of the Best - Amazing property! A real paradise on earth with a fantastic and dedicated team and great GM!
This is definitly a must stay when going to Siem Reap
Thank you so much for making our stay so memorable
- Traveler5556_11 (10/5): Perfect stay - The setting, room, food and service were all outstanding. Chef Kim is an inventive chef who uses the local ingredients in delicious ways. The pool was a relief from the hot sun and the staff could it have been nicer or more attentive.
- kamal (2/5): -
- daviddF6052EH (10/5): Unique and friendly - Unique and friendly
The resort is slightly out of the town . (No reason really to be in the town anyway) Very eco oriented with beautiful grounds ., rice fields in the middle of the grounds surrounded by separate very nice and spacious units. The spa is also very nice
Very friendly staff .
Highly recommend
- franw358 (10/5): The Most Magical Honeymoon – Absolute Paradise at Phum Baitang - We stayed at Zannier Hotels Phum Baitang for four nights for our honeymoon, hoping for somewhere peaceful to relax while exploring the nearby temples and beauty spots. What we experienced was far beyond anything we could have imagined. We both genuinely feel this is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The rooms, the grounds, the restaurants, the décor – everything was absolutely breathtaking. We’ve never seen anywhere so beautifully designed or so serene, inspired by traditional Cambodian villages.
Our villa was stunning, and the attention to detail from housekeeping and turn-down service was exceptional. Every evening, we returned to thoughtful touches such as meditation and relaxation cards that changed nightly, soft candlelight, and delicious local sweet treats. On arrival, we found a bath had been drawn for us, along with a honeymoon welcome cake and gifts – such a perfect start to our stay.
The service throughout the resort was second to none. Every single member of staff we met was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. Whether at breakfast, lunch by the pool, or during sunset cocktails, the team offered wonderful conversation, local recommendations, and insights into the history of the resort – all while respecting our romantic time together. It was the perfect balance.
The dining was outstanding. Room service, breakfast, lunch, and especially our dinner at Hang Bay were all incredible. The honeymoon dinner they gifted us was honestly the best meal we have ever had. Every person we encountered greeted us with a smile and a hello, and we felt so cared for throughout our stay. Their constant kindness made us feel completely at home.
We want to give a special mention to our lovely breakfast waitress, who always made our mornings feel special and shared the best local tips for sunsets. And also to the gentlemen at the Sunset Bar, who told us fascinating stories about the cocktails and the hotel’s history – we loved every moment of those conversations.
Nothing was ever overlooked. From chilled water by the pool, to remembering our favourite hot drinks at breakfast, to organising a tuk-tuk driver who waited for us around town whilst the lovely reception staff made dinner reservations for our arrival into town – every detail was thought of and delivered with genuine care.
Phum Baitang is truly a paradise. We’ve never experienced somewhere so peaceful, so special, and so effortlessly perfect in anticipating our every need. Thank you for giving us our dream honeymoon. We will never forget it. We wish everyone at Phum Baitang all the very best, and we will absolutely be back. We would recommend this magical gem of a resort to anyone.
Fran & Charlie, UK (Stayed in Villa 35)
- holidaygiant (8/5): Good stay - We picked this hotel for our last few days as it is outside of Siem Reap and offers a beautiful tranquil setting.
The staff were all friendly and helpful and all requests to the front desk were handled promptly and efficiently. They booked guides and transfers for us and we particularly liked that they had their own fleet of tuktuks- a trip into Siem Reap for dinner takes about 15 minutes and the driver waits and takes you back for the extremely reasonable price of $10.
We had a pool villa which was spacious with a huge bathroom. For our personal preference we found the mattress too hard but you can’t please everyone! Whilst the decor is meant to reflect traditional Cambodian houses we found the bathroom doors to be a little irritating - it was impossible to open or close them quietly! Housekeeping was good.
We had a couple of treatments in the Spa which were good but expensive when compared to everything else in both the hotel in particular and Cambodia in general.
Breakfasts offered good choice and my husband said his eggs were excellent. The offer or French toast and pancakes was nice but they were prepared in advance and served cold which was a shame.
Despite these small niggles we enjoyed our stay and would consider Zannier properties for future stays.
- jr000000 (10/5): Authentic Cambodian stay - Beautiful setting, quieter and outside the city. Felt like we were actually in Cambodia as opposed to some of the other more generic luxury hotels in the area. Only downside was the pool was only open until 5pm, we would have liked to have gone in after a long day of touring.
- Daniel (10/5): Great place to stay in Siem reap - Great place to stay for a couple Price for food and beverage were a little bit excessive.
- lukejohn75 (10/5): Memorable and spectacular experience - Our stay at Zannier Phum Baitang was truly incredible—an unforgettable mix of luxury, authenticity, and genuine Cambodian warmth. From the moment we arrived, surrounded by tranquil rice paddies and beautifully crafted architecture, we knew it was special. Every detail reflected such care and thoughtfulness, and the staff made us feel completely at home with their gracious hospitality. It wasn’t just a getaway—it was a deeply memorable experience that stays with you long after you leave.

- 725sherij (10/5): An exceptional stay at a stunning property. - An exceptional stay at a stunning property. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. It was very convenient for our Angkor temples visit. We had a magical time at this amazing location. From the rice fields to the sunset lodge we enjoyed a very relaxing time at the resort. Fully recommended for a truly memorable trip.
- Ninasch1977 (10/5): Magic !!! - We had an amazing stay in this outstanding resort. The staff is completely amazing and so friendly and helpful ! The rooms are so well designed, simple but it doesn’t lack anything. So quiet , so nice products and comfy beds. You only look into green lush nature. I think to get a room with small own pool is totally worth it. I do travel the world and I am only staying in 5 star hotels/ this one makes it easy into my top 10 hotels ever! It’s not far from Angkor too . Please stay in this hotel - and tell your friends how nice Cambodia is, the country and the people deserve the tourism !!!!
- Nina (10/5): Dream place you won't want to leave - amazing hotel with beautiful location and landscape, clean, perfectly organized, with very helpful personal and excellent restaurants nothing, everything was excellent
- Tania (9/5): -
- Rita (10/5): - Sem palavras!! Absolutamente estonteante o ambiente, a arquitectura e decoração, a paisagem...
O serviço foi simplesmente irrepreensível - simpatia e disponibilidade absoluta.
Queremos muito voltar e desta vez em família!
- Fan (10/5): An unforgettable stay - We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Siem Reap. What impressed me most was not luxury, but the special atmosphere. Surrounded by rice fields and water buffalo, with beautiful stilted houses, the whole place felt calm and unique.
The staff were excellent—always friendly, attentive, and professional. They really made us feel welcome and comfortable. The hotel’s design is stylish yet reflects the local culture, which made the stay feel very authentic.
A lovely surprise was receiving a small bag of rice from their own fields when we checked out. Such a simple but meaningful gesture left a deep impression.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Siem Reap. It’s a place that creates lasting memories.
- Companion286718 (10/5): Perfect stay - Has been the perfect stay. Probably my favourite hotel . Great staff, quiet place. 100% green and sustainable which for me it is so important. Very near Angkor and 10 min away from the city. Magical place.
- Robin (10/5): Amazing stay with our 2 kids - Everything

- ilmt12 (10/5): Incredible Experience - My best friend and I spent a weekend at the Zannier, and we both consider it one of our top three hotel experiences in our lives (having stayed in hundreds of hotels in our lives). It looks better than it does in pictures, is wonderfully located. We were able to conveniently explore multiple nearby temples, Tonle Sap lake, and the Old Market in Siem Reap.
What stands out is the service, and the intention that has gone into this place. Every little detail looks considered and well curated. The staff are instantly ready to help with any issue you have, and are very helpful with any activity you wish to take. They managed to arrange a lovely tour of Tonle Sap when we arrived with more energy than we expected, despite a two hour heads up. We briefly mentioned to the reception that we were considering touring Siem Reap later that evening while we were on our way to dinner. At 9pm, as we were getting ready (slowly), the reception called to check if we still wished to go as this was the time their standby tuk tuk driver usually went home. We were greeted by name after a few nights. We were both so impressed with the thoughtful service. Cherry on top of a property that looks like it is out of a fairytale.
The only minor issue I had with this place was the pool, which was beautiful (with very comfortable cabanas) but consistently almost uncomfortably warm. A little disappointing when hoping to cool off during a hot day. But that’s a small price to pay for an otherwise stellar experience. We can’t wait to go back! It is very family friendly, a fun little enclosed space that I could run in, and the food was incredible.
- S6331XUelisab (10/5): Beautiful tranquillity and a little piece of luxury in the heart of Siem Reap - Beautiful tranquillity and a little piece of luxury in the heart of Siem Reap - with amazing staff, food and facilities - one of the best places I've ever stayed at
- leoniel358 (10/5): Beautiful and unforgettable - This is a very beautiful and special place to stay when visiting Angkor and the surrounding area. The rooms are gorgeous and everyone at the hotel is so friendly. The environment is stunning and I will never forget watching the sun set from the lovely bar and swimming in the fabulous pool. Highly recommended.
- Trail31976479983 (10/5): Wonderful experience!! - Wonderful experience!! We stayed 3 days and we had a great time. The hotel is amazing and the staff is really kind and efficient. I strongly recommend.
- anotherdogtownlauren (10/5): Pure magic in Siem Reap — a family stay we’ll never forget - We stayed at Zannier Hotels Phum Baitang in June - wow, this place is magical! It’s easily one of the best hotels we’ve ever experienced.
Highlights: the beautifully simple buffet breakfast overlooking the hotel’s rice paddies (peaceful and delicious), a huge, gorgeous pool that became our afternoon ritual, and spacious, luxurious rooms that felt both refined and relaxed.
We booked several private tours through the hotel—a sunrise Angkor Wat visit, an Angkor Thom bike tour, and another bike ride through the countryside—and every one was superb. Our guides were first-rate: warm, deeply knowledgeable, and genuinely flexible in shaping each day around what we wanted. The bike tours—each taking us out in the hotel’s Defender—were standouts for the whole family.
Service throughout was thoughtful without being fussy, the grounds are stunning, and the entire experience felt effortless. We can’t wait to come back one day. Wholeheartedly recommended.

- Fiona (10/5): Absolute Serenity - A real piece of heaven. I’ve never been so relaxed. We travelled in August so unfortunately the humidity was very high . A cooler time would be better.
I’d love to return. Absolute serenity 🙏
- Gustavo (10/5): Amazing place - Everything was amazing: the service, the villa, the food, the spa, the pool
- Fabian (10/5): Amazing stay, perfect service - Amazing service and friendliest staff we have ever seen Absoltutely nothing
- Andrew (9/5): - Great concept, lovely scenery
- 575fincu (8/5): Beautiful and Tranquil but silence is broken by jet washing ! - A really beautiful resort with a lot of time spent looking after the detail. An extremely tranquil setting. The problem we had was that the hotel decided to jet wash the paths during the days we were relaxing at our private pool. Had to complain which at this sort of level is absolutely unacceptable. Poor management
- Gerjanne (10/5): Het was paradijselijk! - Alles. Het was adembenemend mooi. Nog nooit zo in de watten gelegd door het personeel. Heerlijk eten! Niets. Alles was top.

- 1tab (10/5): Exquisite stay - highly recommended - We recently spent 4 nights at Phum Baitang, as a family of four in a Pool Villa. We had the most wonderful stay and would recommend the resort to those wanting a special 'home base' from which to explore Siem Reap.
We loved:
- the warm, kind staff: they were so genuine and so keen to share their culture with us
- the serenity and the views over the rice fields
- the food: we enjoyed trying Cambodian food, it was delicious
- sunset drinks each night
- riding peacefully on bikes around the property - the kids particularly loved this
- the plunge pool at the villa
- the amazing cooking course for the kids
- the excellent guided tours to temples organised by the resort staff (the wonderful driver and guide)
- going by Phum Baitang's personal tuk tuk to the circus in Siem Reap
We went during the wet season, which is not peak season. While there was some rain it was completely manageable and did not impact our stay at all. It also meant that temples were not overcrowded.
We have stayed in many resorts over the years (including various Mandarin Oriental and Peninsula properties) - and Zannier Phum Baitang is up there with the best.
Thank you again
Anna and family
- Borislav (10/5): Exceptional - Everything is perfect/ high level
- anniehH7280JB (10/5): Incredible! - This hotel has been simply incredible. We were so impressed with the layout of the hotel complex, the attention to detail and the small, meaningful touches to our rooms, the diverse and delicious dining, and the impeccable and friendly service. We will be back!
- 8corinam (10/5): A Relaxing Stay in a Lovely Setting - The hotel is located on a beautiful estate, with spacious and well-appointed rooms. Service was excellent, and we were pleased with both the dining and spa experiences. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
- Imogen (10/5): D - Beautiful, relaxed, excellent service
- claireminhlanhg (10/5): Our 25th Wedding Anniversary Trip - My husband and I chose 'Phum Bataing' denoting 'Green Village' to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary Celebration.
I can wholeheartedly say, this was one of BEST decisions in our long-lasting Marriage!
It was a profound privilege to stay at this very special & serene Hotel. General Manager, Giulio leads & manages a superb Team of staff.
We have had the immeasurable pleasure conversing with him on each day of our 4 nights stay.
Giulio is very 'present' with all of his guests. And it is duly noted that he cares for all his staff, and the School Projects 'Zannier' supports in the local Cambodian community. It is highly admirable to know he has a compassionate heart and generosity of spirit for all of the 'Zannier' Family at 'Phum Bataing'.
I conversed with Angelina, Regional Spa & Wellness Manager prior to our stay.
Angelina was exceedingly gracious and suggested the 'Aspara & Tevta Couple Ritual'.
This was a beautiful 2-3 hour experience leaving us both relaxed, balanced and rejuvenated!
Every single member of staff from the Catering, Housekeeping, Reception to the 'Hang Bay' and 'Bay Phsar' Restaurants are absolutely phenomenal.
It is clearly evident that each team member is proud to work at 'Phum Bataing'.
We enjoyed talking to each valued team member and each one of them made our stay at 'Phum Bataing' a truly unforgettable & life transformative experience for us both.
Our heartfelt thanks and deep gratitude to you all for making our 25th Wedding Anniversary, unique & memorable.
And for the exquisite Lotus Flowers bouquet on arrival and the delicious Wedding Anniversary cake on the Anniversary Day.
Furthermore, for kindly arranging a Buddhist Monk & Water blessing on our Anniversary Day.
This was a highly distinguishing & discerning intimate ceremony.
'Phum Bataing' will forever remain a very special place in our hearts ..
We are now considering staying at the Zannier ‘Bai San Ho’ in Vietnam for our 26th Wedding Annivesary!
'Thank you' to you all ..
- pieboy4 (10/5): Fantastic hotel - loved it. - What a fantastic place!
We went in low season which I appreciate is not what Hotel owners want but I prefer when a place is less crowded. I can only describe this place as a real source of tranquillity. It has an old world feel with modern features.
We went as a family (2 kids aged 7 and 10) over school holidays and what a blissful part of the world this is. It is away from the main town (10-15 min away in tuk-tuk which can easily booked via Grab app) but that's exactly what I wanted. It is quiet but you could hear some minimal local noise which I quite liked as you could hear life elsewhere it just wasn't next door to you. For us it was a perfect size. Hotel bikes to ride around the grounds. a few Water buffalo to attend to the hotel small rice paddy areas. The room was well proportioned and we could all sleep comfortably together with the sofa becoming a bed and an extra bed put inside. Again old world charm feel with modern hotel gizmos - sympathetically decorated to reflect the country and remind you where you are in the world.
The staff were fantastic. All young but confident in their conversation and well trained. No fake hotel smiles but genuine folk. All spoke English
There is a spa and small gym. I thought the breakfast was well thought out and what was on offer was more than enough to cater for most tastes. I have stayed in hotels where the food was so much that you knew a lot of food was going to be wasted. Breakfast was also well laid out and looked lovely.
It was rainy season (which is May to October) but it trained for about an hour a day and didn't not stop us doing what we wanted to do which was go and explore Siem Reap.
Highlight for me was the pool. It was warm and not deep for our small kids. So inviting.
Only other thoughts were just book a regular taxi from the airport, the inhouse transport was quite punchy. The restaurant table water was considerably priced which I was disappointing. Small point but overall this place for me had it all; style, great facilities, genuine hospitality. Great for small and big kids. Good location away from the hubub of main town.
- Thiane (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely magnificent, amazing service, extremely friendly staff
- marjov920 (10/5): Luxurious lodge in lush gardens; excellent base to explore Siem Reap and environment. - A beautiful small lodge in a green lush garden with some small rice fields, 3 water buffalos and a spectacular sunset.
The villa’s on poles are well appointed, immaculate with a warm design; it feels very welcoming and as a real second home.
The staff is super friendly and do their utmost to make you feel welcome and appreciated; they remember your preferences and enquire for your plans; if none, they come with suggestions; if you have they tell you what to focus on. The food is good.
There is really nothing to complain about.
- Lauren (10/5): Pure luxury - Absolutely beautiful hotel - one of the best we have stayed in. We opted for a pool villa and it was just fabulous, very comfortable and spacious. The staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast was delicious with a great selection. The hotel is slightly out of the way - 10 minute Tuktuk ride - but it was worth the trip for the peaceful and tranquil location after a busy day of exploring.
- AMBaldini (10/5): Heaven on Earth - Wow. This was our final hotel of five during a two week trip through Vietnam and Cambodia and man did we save the best for last. The others were all excellent but this is another level - Six Senses luxury without their price tag. Beautiful rooms, agree with another reviewer that you don’t need a pool villa - the main pool is utterly stunning and it was with great reluctance that we peeled ourselves way for some temple trips (though of course they’re not to be missed). Service is faultless, my son loved the bikes, the paddy field landscaping is utterly inspired, the buffalo a very clever addition and the food - off the charts excellent. To the previous reviewer who said the breakfast was a bit limited, I’m coming on your next holiday if you’re used to better breakfast than that!! It was amazing!! I’m a nightmarishly fussy hotel guest and I literally can’t fault this place. Impeccable. Well done and thank you!.
- Sadrine (10/5): A must stay - Villas are beautiful, food amazing, service out of this world. Beautiful details everywhere. Very good taste everywhere.
Sumptuous gardens. Nothing
- jeffreyp320 (10/5): Zannier - Siem Reap and Anker Wat - I was a guest at Zannier Siem Reap. It was a fantastic resort with modern, clean accommodations, but retaining the charm and beauty of rural ancient Cambodia. The restaurant was good and hotel amenities were great. It is a short 10-15 minute ride into Siem Reap downtown and Anker Wat. The staff is amazing. While there I made a purchase at their gift store. After getting home I realized I wanted even more of the items I had purchased (Fair Weave product). I called the hotel and spoke with Pich Chanly. He arranged for me to purchase the items and then had them shipped. Incredible customer service.
- andreaslR3378OC (10/5): Relaxing stay - Very nice resort with impeccable service. Spent two nights and enjoyed every moment. The bungalows are very nice and there is no need to book the ones with the pool since the main pool is big and not crowded. The hotel restaurants serve good food
- RMB93 (10/5): Perfection - Wow, this resort is the perfect example of zen. From the moment we arrived through to leaving we had wonderful service.
The rooms are absolutely stunning & the staff are one of the kindest we have every had the privilege of meeting. I would recommend having a pool villa, the privacy and pool area were definitely worth the extra money.
Food was AMAZING & the young coconuts are the biggest I've ever seen. Could not fault the breakfast either.
This is by far the best hotel in Siem Reap, you will not regret booking it.
- Julia (10/5): Absolute perfection - It was the perfect combination of 5-star rustic charm. Food was fabulous as were the staff. Everything exceeded our expectstions Nothing
- helenwillerton (10/5): Heaven - Zannier Phum Baitang is heaven, beautiful, serene, relaxing and food for the soul. We had the most wonderful time. The staff are exceptional and we were treated like royalty, the grounds are so beautiful, the pool stunning, the spa lovely and the food delicious. We spent so much time riding the bikes around the resort in the breeze. We LOVED it and will definitely recommend Zannier as the place to stay in SIEM REAP.
- Omid (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizalies (10/5): Perfectly Zen - My best friend and I stayed for three perfect nights. Our villa was spacious (highly recommend the villa with a private pool). The decor was tasteful and subdued. The staff were pleasant and helpful - I highly recommend the booking the Angkor Temple tour and country tours - our guides were knowledgeable and made sure the experience was perfect (the cool lemongrass infused towels were heaven in the heat) . Also, make sure to book a spa treatment when you arrive - the spa can not be missed! The food on property was local, fresh - I highly recommend both restaurants and the sunset cocktail lounge at sundown over the rice paddies. The expansive property provided a tranquil retreat from the outside world. Wish we could have spent more time here! Will definitely be back!
- amandalP487BS (10/5): Exceeded expectations! - This is the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at — it’s really something special. The hotel grounds in the middle of rice fields are gorgeous and peaceful. The cottage and private pool were so comfortable. The food exceeded our expectations. And finally, the staff made us feel so welcome (shout out to Lin!). We most appreciated the attention to small details, such as always making sure we had water, or knowing our names at each meal. It was also easily accessible to Siem Reap. We hope to stay here again in the future!
- Goodman (10/5): Exceptional - Great Hotel, friendly staff. Would highly recommend.
- S8472IHjohnw (10/5): So much more than simply a hotel - All plaudits fully deserved. This is so much more than a hotel. It is completely memorable. It provides a unique and so, so beautiful environment. Our meals in both restaurants were outstanding. The service is outstanding. Phum Baitang is certainly not a cheap option, but in our view what they provide is cheap at the price.
- Allison (9/5): Awesome retreat and launchpad for the environs of Siem Reap and Angkor Wat complex - Staff was amazing - super friendly, cheerful and keen to help. Villa was comfortable and great relaxing decor. Super comfortable bed
- Nora (10/5): I would highly recommend staying at Phum Baitang. - They offered an exceptional variety of food and a menu if you desired something else for breakfast. The staff was so attentive to our family. It was a wonderful experience to stay there. I loved everything
- Francesca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Freedom33500295038 (10/5): The worlds most peaceful hotel - This is the most peaceful hotel i have ever been to, from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave you feel relaxed and looked after.
We opted for a pool villa, it was sublime. Well appointed room and private pool what more could you ask for? (well perhaps more plants to make it a little more private around the pool)
The food and drinks were the best we had in Cambodia.
We booked half day tour through the hotel and it was a great decision, cold scented towels after each site we visited and freezing cold water.
This may be the first resort we are desperate to return to again, as we feel there is more we want to do here.
- Lovetravelling64 (10/5): An oasis of calm - You obviously come to Siem Riep in order to visit Angkor Wat, which is simply amazing.
This hotel is an oasis of calm and tranquility. The service is excellent, the food is fantastic and the rooms are wonderful. We were sad to leave
If you do stay here, make sure you ask for Leo, the Tuktuk driver. He will take you wherever you need to go and nothing is too much trouble.
He has a lovely manner and excellent local knowledge
Enjoy
- HugoMedeiros (10/5): Best accommodation option in Siem Reap - We stayed 4 nights at Zannier Phum Baitang and loved it.
The room with a pool is incredible and worth it. If you can, consider staying there, both for the greater privacy and because of the beautiful pool.
The hotel is beautiful and has incredible service. Everyone is always available to help.
The food is good, but not exceptional. The prices are a little high, especially considering the taste of the dishes. But the wines and cocktails are really expensive. It's worth buying some wines in the city or at the duty-free shop before going to the hotel. The snacks are also a good choice, including for room service, as they are well-served and tasty.
The tours offered are an absolute success. We booked everything with the hotel and didn't regret it. Always on time, comfortable car with water and air conditioning, as well as a guide who explains the entire history of the temples and accompanies you during the tours. We did two days of tours and both were exceptional. The price charged is fair for the quality of everything on offer.
Another highlight is the main pool, with an ideal temperature and plenty of space, as well as the beautiful rice fields in the central area.
I recommend the hotel and would certainly stay there again.
- Karolina (10/5): Exceptional - It was just perfect.
- Tibo77 (10/5): STUNNING - We had a truly magical stay at this hotel and would rate it amongst one of the best we have been to in our lifetime. Everything was so elegant and sophisticated and the sustainability and ethos of the whole environment was palpable and engrossing. The attention to detail friendliness of the staff, quality of the food and drinks was exceptional. Thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to enjoy Siem Reap .
- M I (10/5): Amazknf - Amazing place!
- Eamonn (10/5): - This was one of the most exquisite properties we have stayed on in our travels around the world. Five stars gets over abused, but this is a truly five star experience. When you enter the gates, time evaporates and you get lost in the serenity of the natural surroundings. Every little request was received with enthusiasm and the staff were willing to go above and beyond to make sure your stay was exceptional. Magnificent!!!
- Grzegorz (5/5): Nice place with low quality to price ratio - Interesting design reflecting typical Kmehr villages with wooden houses and rice fields. Overly modest breakfast, price for hotel-airport transport 4 as much expensive as the standard taxi
- Janice (9/5): Superb -
- Hans (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (10/5): - One of the best stays I have ever had! The property, staff, food and attention to detail far exceeded my expectations… I could go on and on… AMAZING!
- David (9/5): Superb - Great hotel, staff does a great job, rooms are very specious, beautiful landscape. Some of the services rates are a bit too much
- Adriano (10/5): Exceptional -
