Guest Reviews
- Samantha (2/5): - The website says that it’s pet friendly. It is NOT!!! Over $100 gone for nothing because they claimed to be something they were not.. we ended up staying down the road. This hotel was excellent and the price was comparative.
- Michael (2/5): - Crazy worn out and run down. Dirty and not well maintained. Appears to be getting some “hourly” use and there seems to be a lot of drug use on the property.
- Rachel (6/5): - Older motel, basic conveniences, had to have keys redone to open door, no ice machine, air conditioning good, plug-in in the bathroom not convenient for plugging in curling iron, had internet, tv, refrigerator. Curtains were a little water stained.
- Georgianna (10/5): - The customer service was outstanding but when I walked into my room I was happier than I have been in any motel in Hutchinson throughout the last 4 years they are so clean I am a cleaner I've been one for 22 years and this was the first time and I don't know how long I didn't have to clean the bathroom before I took a bath and they are so nice
- Jerod (2/5): - The room was very outdated and rundown. The walls were painted yellow and the bathroom door would not shut. They're was local people staying in a room that seemed to be having extra curricular activities.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Back ache awaits - Pros - Clean room - Easy Parking - AC worked
Cons - Bed was very uncomfortable- might as well tried to sleep on a concrete floor. Bare room only. No morning coffee, clock or tissues. Just not a great stay for the money.
- Libbie (2/5): - Needles on room gross
- Levi (6/5): - It's really hot here nice and
Quiet
- Chaulene (2/5): - Horribly filthy! Scrubbed tops of furniture, counters, fridge, sink;all made disinfecting cloths blackened. Outside of toilet bowl is encased with remnants of crusty....I tried to clean tub but suds turned black. We gave up an since it was late and just traveled 20hrs, we slept,un showered, teeth unbrused,in same clothes across,(otherwise untouched) bed with clean clothes under and our heads. We checked out in morning, with monetary loss and went elsewhere! Was surrounded by peope just hanging arround barking dogs and arguing persons. Sketchy and scary lodging.
- Chaulene (2/5): - So disgustingly dirty and nasty!
Even wanted extra payment for family(son). We chose to "lose our money" and run away from there!
- Tucker (2/5): - It appeared to be a place that prostitutes met up with clients. Also appeared to be a bunch of crackheads hanging around!
- Kara (2/5): - Very rude staff. Not accomitating, and will try to charge you extra for every little thing. I'd take pictures of every little thing in your room before staying so you have proof of your stay. Overall 1/10.
- Roger (8/5): - Everything was just as advertized. Great value
- Grant (10/5): - Very fast check in & very clean rooms! Nice tvs with lots of channels, super fast wifi, mini fridge & microwave what more could you ask for! Highly recommend, I will be back for sure!
- Betty (8/5): - I needed a room for an overnight stay while at State Fair. The big chains were all filled so I chose Hutchinson Inn. It is an older building in the down town area. I was greeted with cold bottled water, a nice treat and the fridge in the room was cold. The room was clean, there were plenty of towels, and the shower was great- lots of hot water and great pressure. No hair dryer, but I always have my travel one along. The bed was comfortable. There was a lot of train noise during the night. I would definitely stay here again. No breakfast provided, but close to some of the best brunch spots!
- Anastasia (10/5): - This is not a huge place but it was nice. The parking lot is not huge either but it was adequate even with our pK & car trailer.
They were kind enough to allow us to leave the Pk & trailer parked while we attended the event we had trailered a car up to attend. If needed to stay in this area again, I'd stay here again.
- Annette (2/5): - Didn't like anything about it
- Mathew (2/5): - Dirty carpets and room stunk. Old appliances. Comfortable bed though.
- Jon (10/5): - This motel was very clean! The management was very helpful. My husbad was in the hospital in Hutchinson. I felt very safe staying here.
- Shilo (10/5): - The front desk attendant was very nice and I really liked the fact that I stayed tell my checkout time and didn’t have anyone knocking on my door an hour early to see if they could clean the room. It was very nice
- Patricia (6/5): - Everything
- Jerry (6/5): - Wasn’t the best but good for the price
- Frank (10/5): - Great service!! Clean room!!
- Preston (8/5): - It is not a bad place several stays and only the second time did I have an issue every stay since had been good breakfast would be a nice addition but I'm not going to complain
- Montana (2/5): - How the manager is a Dick and will yell at you for anything
- Preston (6/5): - The guy tried to charge me 55 dollars after the website said 46$ and a little change the guy tried to tell me the website was a fake the guy tried to screw me was just disappointed that he tried to take advantage of me and be that way over a dew dollars
- Anne (4/5): Disappointed - We were disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. The floors, wall, and countertops were sticky—shoes stuck to the floor, countertops were sticky. Glad it was just a quick overnight stay and no more.
- Connie (2/5): - Didn’t even stay went to a different hotel. The room we were given looked like it had belonged to a rowdy 5 yrs old. Ac didn’t work had to stand on a chair to turn it on couldn’t see the setting and was filthy
- Bethany (2/5): - BEWARE !!! If you have a dog, they put you in a smoking room. Disgusting. Cigarette burns on everything, blankets, dressers, bathroom, linens. Then the smell, not just cigarette smell, but also smells of sewage. This is the worst hotel ive ever stayed at in my life. Luckily we only stayed one night. If im paying extra for my dog, guests shouldnt be put in the nastiest rooms. Some dog owners actually housebreak their pets and there was no where that my dog could use the restroom either.
- Dani (2/5): - Didn’t even check in. They have no rooms that are non-smoking. They told us “only smoking” we said okay no thank you and as we were walking out he asked us “one bed or two?” I said one but it doesn’t matter if they are all smoking allowed rooms. I am so glad I didn’t pay for this property ahead of time. I even asked to see a room before I was going to pay and was not allowed. Very terrible.
- Joseph (8/5): - Nice size bed and free wi-fi
- Katrina (8/5): - Quick and easy. The room was warm throughout the night.
- heather (10/5): - was clean and got it for a good price.
- Verified traveler (8/5): For the price can't ask for much - Room was not very clean. The chair was broken and could not be sat in. Extension cords was used for lamps. The bathroom door did not have a handle on the inside and so u could not close it or else u was stuck in the bathtoom. The heating lights was not installed and there was another empty hole in the ceiling possibly older light fixture. There was to be a hot breakfast but nothing was offered.
- Robert (6/5): - I booked because stated it serves breakfast ( but they don't) and heat was not working the knob was broken and their towels they used to much bleach and I itched all over now not recommended.
- Brandy (4/5): - Made a reservation through orbitz and paid for it through the website. Went to check in and was total thee was a 56.84 deposit. I was like ok but itll go back on my card when i leave and the guy was like yeah. So days later im looking at my credit card balance and they charged me. When i called them about it a lady answered and said they dont take deposits. Eventually they did refund the money. Just be careful with this place and what the charge. Also the room were ok. Tv didnt work when we arrived hAd to get the guy to come fix it. But other that that it was a ok stay for the night
- Mike (10/5): - Liked location, economic, clean, quiet, internet, desk, warm shower, good a/c.
- Annie (2/5): - Had to get a smoking room to get the beds we wanted. It smelled so bad. It was missing the front of the microwave, drawing on dresses. Cig burns in blanket and sheet, drawer missing in night stand, pink soap squirted all over shower wall, vent half ripped out of the ceiling
- Lisa (2/5): - I did not like the wat i was defrauded out of $377 when i did not stay even one night in that flea bag filth, The owner exudes fraudulent behaviors. I recommend if anyone offers to sell this room to you you decline immediately/ i was charged $125 a night for a $20 a night filthy dirty scum bag Motel. It doent even qualify as a hotel. Crack central!
- Trina (2/5): - It said it was renovated in 2019 . Well they painted the walls anyway. There was no shower pressure. The bathroom door was very dirty. Over all not the cleanest. I reserved 2 queen beds and got 2 full size beds. Stayed 3 nights they shut our ac off so we came back to a hot room and only gave us 2 towels for 3 people. Paid the price of a 5 star hotel for a $45.00 room. The pics had to be edited looks way better in pics
- Janet (10/5): - This was a step up from camping. The air conditioner did work well. Paid $140 a night for a room that should have cost $49.99. It was dirty and had a variety of maintenance issues. There was a catalog in the room from 2012. I have honestly never stayed in a room this bad. Due the the Kansas State Fair there were no other options below $300 a night.
- Brooke (2/5): Do NOT stay there! - We checked in late the guy was very nice, we got in the room and i couldn't believe the condition. We booked it for the state fair at a god awful price because we needed somewhere to stay. The room was disgusting, i wouldn't even set on the bed the white sheets and pillows were brown and stained. Needless to say we ended up driving 2 hours home at 11 at night.
- Karen (4/5): - Torn curtains furniture broken bathroom dirty. Smelled very dirty in the room
- william (2/5): - we
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The site says that the hotel is pet friendly. It is not. If you bring a pet you have to stay in a smoking room. Also there is no place for your pet to potty. There is no access to grass on site.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was definitely better then the other hotel i stayed at prior .
- William (10/5): Great Stay! - Very nice place.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The staff was very friendly, but the room smelled very bad , very old covers and sheets with stains, the worst part is my friend ended up with bed bug bites all over his neck and stomach.
Disappointed
Liz
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Towels were rough and torn
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Horrible staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The bed was unbelievably comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was fine.
- Sarah (2/5): The lights were out and that's just to start with. - The good: bug free, friendly staff, parking good.
The bad: the bathroom light stopped working the first morning we were there (they attempted to fix it but it still didn't work), the bedcovers were uncomfortable and threadbare, the person beside us cussed out their roommates at all hours, and the whole town was disrespectful. We ordered food twice and both times parts were missing. Just overall bad place.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Refrigerator not working, bath / shower did not drain. Room was not cleaned, and had to call on the second day to ask for bath tissue. Do not recommend
- Alfonso (2/5): STAY AWAY IF YOU APRECIATE YOUR LIFE - I was waiting on the lobby for the receptionist for almost 5 min.
The room was not clean. The towels was not clean. The bed has a bed bugs. Very bad place to stay. The bed mattress looks like picks from homeless.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not my first choice - Hotel is old and in need of some improvements and a deep cleaning. Toilet had issues, shower left water all over the floor, no blankets on beds, no towels, no toilet paper, dead lock was a pain. It really isnt a bad hotel. It could be nice but i dont see it happening anytime soon.
- Merrilyn B (2/5): worst place to stay - We arrived late. Got in the room wanted to take a shower only one towel and was cloth for two people. The next morning ask for towels. The room was never cleaned the whole stay had to ask for towels and toilet paper every time. The towelscc BF was washed but stains still on them. Will never stay there again. I give them no stsirs😢
- Brian (10/5): - Nice location and the room was both clean and quiet.
- Ann (10/5): nice stay - The Hutch Inn is just right for our needs. It’s close to everything and was clean and quiet. We stay there whenever we are in town.
- Joseph (6/5): Wouldn't do it again - Bare wires in light fixture, big gaps around door, none of the light fixtures had a cover and the AC unit didn't keep the room cool.
- Marian (8/5): - The owners were very helpful with all our needs the property is older and a bit run down.
