Guest Reviews
- Carlos Augusto (1/5): - Ni si quiera me abrieron la puerta no habia nadie estuve tocando y nadie salió, mal servicio
- Karen Bibiana (1/5): - Mala atención
- CASTRO MARTINEZ (9/5): -

- Jennifer (9/5): If you are going n a hot air ballon ride, this is a great budget opportunity as it is centrally located! - Small but awesome open courtyard space. The shower had great hot water!!! Rooms are a little small and could use and upgrade (ex:replace bathroom door)

- Lillian (9/5): A great value near the Pyramids! - Amazing value for the price! Beautiful gardens, clean room, an easy 17 min walk to the pyramids. All the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location felt safe and walkable to a few food options, even at our late night arrival. Extra blankets in the room were a nice touch for cold nights. No frills: The rooms are a bit dated, and the mattresses and pillows were hard/firm. Noise travels easily through the walls. A ceiling fan would have been nice to mask the noise.
- Zambrano Lopez (10/5): -
- cherie (9/5): Wonderful affordable comfortable and personal stay close to the pyramids! - Comfortable rooms, hot shower, nice breakfast, large courtyard, good location Would have liked a full service restaurant
- Jerry (7/5): The first and last mornings of our stay, we were greeted by a sky full of Hot Air Balloons. - The location was superb and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was a decent size and accommodating. There were two days that the hotel room didn’t have hot water.
That needs to be rectified for showering purposes.
- Lynn (10/5): Hotel Quetzalcalli authentic hospitality - Hotel Quetzalcalli was the perfect casual, comfortable authentic Mexican hotel to be as base for Teotihuacan. The hosts and staff were wonderful in every way, being accomodating, understanding and helpful to this solo non- Spanish speaking traveller. They were always willing to help set up activities and arrange transportation. It felt like home away from home. The grounds were beautiful and relaxing.very convenient to lots of good food. Hotel Quetzalcalli was true to how it was advertised, just what I had hoped for. A beautiful slice of the hospitality of Mexico. Nothing fancy, but unique attractive, colorful, friendly and comfortable. A 20 min walk to gates 1 or 5 to the pyramids, though an uber might work better for some after a long day. The ruins are an enormous treasure and enormous in size.
- Mayra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cruz (7/5): Good -
- Clingan (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful Garden and close walk to the Pyramids
- Grégoire (10/5): A quiet paradise. - The accommodations are quite excellent. The common area is also very nice.
The outside sitting area is a small heaven: quiet, beautiful and relaxing.
The hotel itself is walking distance from Teotihuacan and very convenient to visit. Plenty of stores and restaurants nearby. Not many are open late, so don't delay having dinner!
I highly recommend this hotel and a visit to the pyramids as well as the caverns nearby.
If you drive, be careful of speedbumps (on every street!!) and have cash on hand for the numerous tolls if you are using the highway to get there and back. I didn't like having to leave. I would have stayed longer at that hotel.
- Kim (10/5): Teotihuacan stay - Quiet, clean, close to the pyramids, nearby restaraunt, convenience stores (tienditas), micheladas and bakery (panadería). All good.
- Gustavo (10/5): Good - It was close to the pyramids site No hot water
- Alejandra (9/5): Can’t wait to visit again! - Food was great and the grounds are beautiful. The staff was very hospitable, friendly, and helpful.
- Henry (7/5): Good -
- Miguel (7/5): was a good place to rest and recovery from my flight, definitely I will return some day. - free continental breakfast was good there was nothing I did not like
- Sumit (7/5): Good -
- Franc (9/5): Superb -
- Damian (7/5): Good - Value for money Towel were stained the hot was so so and it was cold.
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roksana (7/5): Good place - We had an 8 hour delay with the plane, but thanks to the fact that the hotel day was till 1pm, we were able to drive up, take a shower, have breakfast and even go for a tour . The room was spacious, rather basic, but just right for a night. The bathroom was quite small, but everything worked. The area around the rooms was very large, green and there was plenty of parking on the hotel grounds. For breakfast we got pancakes and coffee - very tasty. I didn’t have a chance to experience it but it was quite cold inside the room due to low temperature outside
- Walter (9/5): Superb -
- Beth (5/5): Further from Teothihuacan by foot and only ok - The room was large and comfortable It was much further than we realised from the entry gates to Teothiuacan so not very practical if you’re on foot (I would suggest staying nearer gate 1,2 or 3).
Walls were thin and windows didn’t fit properly so you could hear dogs barking and all neighbour noise.
Breakfast was basic.. but not much food options nearby.
- Jenné (10/5): This is a simple and clean accommodation, simple breakfast included, bathroom is small. Property is pretty and kept well -
- Raisa (10/5): I love the outside space and the comfort of the room - Feels great stay there
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angelica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luz (8/5): Acceptable for its price but the exception of No hot water. - Location, nice garden, bed are aceptable. Already in the bath had to take a cold shower because hot water was not on. Management came later to turn the water heater on. Even on the 2nd day stayed hot water was not sufficient for two persons.
- Cabrera (8/5): Very good -
- Francisco (9/5): Clean, quaint, and overall great Valley. We will stay here again. - Great location. Great price.
Clean rooms and very quaint. The water in the shower did tint get hot.
- Pablo (8/5): Very good -
- Chen (9/5): Superb - Nice and friendly employees
- Sahar (2/5): Miserable night, no sleep - The location The room was full of mosquitoes, it was an awful sleepless night of getting eaten alive :(
The room smelled of sewerage and something like wet paint.
One of the main reasons I chose the hotel was the availability of the temascal, but discovered after check-in that no one else was staying at the hotel so the entire cost would fall to one person instead of being shared among multiple people, making it prohibitively expensive
- Petr (9/5): Superb - The location is perfect, just 10 minutes walk to the entrance of Teotihuacán pyramids. Also near the centre with good food. Very nice and green area in front of the rooms.
- Barajas (6/5): A hotel I don't recommend and I won't stay again. - I liked the garden, it was big, clean and so calm. I liked the cleanliness in the rooms. The location is great, no more than 20 min walking from the pyramids (door 1). Two nice restaurants nearby and friendly people around. Two well stuffed corner shops with variety of snacks. Carmen and another lady in the reception were friendly but they didn't fill our needs and expectations. We booked 3 rooms and 2 of them never had hot water. We texted the receptionist (there is no telephone in the rooms) and she said the problem was the air because it was turning off the boilers. I was so embarrassed with my family as I paid for the hotel and maybe they thought I looked for the cheapest but the two nights for 3 rooms were not cheap at all. I didn't like that there was not towel in the toilet to clean the hands, I mean... I understand that hotels want to protect the water and the environment but not having towels to clean the hands was to much. I didn't like that the hotel had display prices for massages and when we booked them the receptionist told us those prices were old and they were more expensive now, I asked the reason to have the prices displayed if they are not the right ones, no valid answer was given.
I DIDN'T LIKE THE BREAKFAST! The day before the receptionist told me the breakfast was served between 8-10 am and it was continental type. The next morning we arrived 8 am and nothing was ready, a man was preparing a big table for us and a lady was cutting papaya and making hot cakes, not all of us like pancakes or papaya and we didn't have any choice. Only coffee was available and one of us requested milk and the lady in the kitchen said it was with an extra cost, what???? At the end we didn't pay for the milk because the receptionist understood it was not reasonable and also we had only cold water in our shower.
The hotel says they have shuttle from the airport to the hotel but that is an extra cost. I paid $4500 for two rides, one from a bus station to the hotel and the second one from the hotel to Coyoacán, I felt it was a bit pricy.
- Jasmine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Babak (8/5): Very good -
- B (9/5): Perfect For Teotihuacán - Location, service, accessibility, and aesthetics were great. Not a lot I didn't like.
- Tim (8/5): Great location. Owner and family were attentive. Overall a nice stay. - Pancake and fruit breakfast was nice. Walking distance to Teoticuaun, shopping, restaurants. The staff was very nice. The room was clean and a good size. The large courtyard was enjoyable. The tesmecal was unforgettable. The room was very bright at night, even after they turned off the lights right outside the rooms around 10pm. Shades or room darkening curtains would have been nice. Also, the pillows need to be replaced.
