Guest Reviews
- Molly (8/5): Good value for a one night stand. - This place has it all for a roadside tel. Laundry, Chinese restaurant and sandwich shop next door. Excellent price.
- Carol (7/5): -
- Sarwat (1/5): -
- Dickens (1/5): Bad - Quit They have bed bugs bad
- Conley (1/5): Not good. - Honesty on the part of the management. After a COMPLETELY uneventful stay, obeying all rules, etc. And leaving the room on time and delivering the key to the office Dropbox, I thought everything was fine. I attempted to re-book at this location at a later date and was refused because of "problems". Upon contacting the facility directly the staff said that I had REMOVED the smoke detector and put it in the refrigerator. NOTHING COULD BE FARTHER FROM THE TRUTH!! To begin with, I don't smoke (nor my spouse). I never even opened the fridge (my food and drinks were in my personal cooler)! This is a complete falsification regarding me. If this did happen, it was done by a previous guest--not me. I want this accusation removed from my records with you...I'm not such a fool. Please look into this for me. Thanks.
- Mr (1/5): Bad -
- Mark (7/5): Reached my goals to pack my stuffs out of storage and very convenient next to stores restaurants nea - Everything was okay but it was old motel one thing was disappointing no where to plug charging up phone in either bathroom or bedroom no plugs or one by bed no end tables they need upgrade that power supply to charge phones laptops
- Denise (5/5): Passable -
- Danny (1/5): THE WORST MOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT! If your thinking about staying here DO NOT!!!! - Nothing! Floor was disgusting has not been cleand in a long time! The door filthy. Open electrical outlets. Smoke detector had been removed. Cigarette burn holes in bed spread. Room missing base boards in multiple areas. Both beds were old, worn out and not comfortable at all! Light bulb in bathroom burnt out.
- Terry (4/5): No blinds on the window - Convinced Convince
- Truck (10/5): Had a great rest !! - Nice and quite
- Sherif (1/5): Bad -
- Jonathan (8/5): Very good - Very good value for the price and staff was very friendly Appliances didn't work "microwave &mini fridge checkout time hated this 10 am check out nornal check out is 11 am
- Roger (7/5): Good -
- Gregory (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gary (5/5): Worked for one night - Location Kinda rough
- Cindra (3/5): Awful - Floor was sticky, too much foot traffic
- Seabaugh (1/5): It sucked and will never happen again1 - Will never stay again. The room was a box, 1 outlet in the living side and no outlets in Bathroom. Outdated furniture, bedding, towels, and pillows. Oh, the pillows on the bed. I didn't think a pillow could physically be that flat. I wish I would have taken a pic. Also, if nothing else this event taught me was to never, never ever pre-pay for a multi night stay. This might be ok for some travelers but not for me.
- Lynette (1/5): Bad -
- Jim (9/5): Nice location and easy to get to - Good location. Outside entrance to room. Light in room not bright enough
- Gregory (10/5): Easy to stop off 70 to get rest. - It was what I needed, bed and shower for my trip. Very clean, easy to get into and could leave early in the morning. Folks were friendly, and even knew I was coming.
- Jake (1/5): So bad - Nothing Instantly got punched in the face with the strongest smell of chemical when we entered the room. Tried to air it out by keeping door open but nothing worked. Terrible, luckily I brought a fan and had it directly on me all night so I could breathe.
- Laura (9/5): I’d stay here again - Very convenient location. Clean. Soap was old
- Doelger (7/5): Good - I didn't even know that it has a breakfast Size of the room
- Pamela (5/5): Too smelly - Bed was comfortable The deodorizers used in the room were too strong
I don't know what smell it was suppose to cover up but the smell really messed with my allergies
- Kevin (10/5): Very pleasant stay in a clean room with hospitable staff - The staff were very polite and professional. They were also able to recommend places to eat because I was from out of town and wasn't familiar with the area. There was nothing about the room or the hotel that I didn't like. Everything was fine.
- Michael (3/5): Poor - Partying by guests above me. Too much noise
- Jonathan (5/5): Passable -
- Ciara (7/5): Not bad - Price and convenience Roach crawled up the wall while I was there
- Raymond (7/5): Good -
- Aaron (2/5): Dirty linen - The location is convenient The room was dark, only one lamp was working.
The other lamp on the wall was just for appearance as there was no outlet to plug it into.
The linens were dirty. Both me and my partner work up with red sore spots.
- Gage (2/5): Terrible! - Nothing It cost $20 more a night than what we were told. The rooms looked like a cross between a jail cell and a tiny classroom. There were holes in walls. The bathroom was destroyed. You get the convenience of 1 small bottle of soap, 1 towel, and a partly used roll of toilet paper. It’s loud and people clearly under the influence are wandering around the parking lot for some good ole fashioned family entertainment.
- Patricia (8/5): It was clean. - Older hotel, but it was clean. My room had a different color on every wall. Blue gray, bright green, & bright blue in the bathroom. I slept fine & that was the point.
- Doug (7/5): Good - The parking lot had plenty of lights, easy to get to No outlets by the bed ,no coffee pot,no ice machine. For $74 just to sleep, I expected more.
- Betty (1/5): Bad -
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graham (2/5): Horrible - close to freeway and pet friendly He charged me 20 dollars more for a dog. The tv didn’t work, no comforter. The pillows were like a third of a pillow. it’s a get I , nap and shower place only.
- Anonymous (9/5): Pleasant place to stay . - Was just what I need for just a night after driving all day. Hot shower and a good bed. Just the smell of cleaning product was to strong for me.
- Marc (1/5): Bad -
- Pratte (2/5): Very poor -
- Larry (8/5): - Towels are dingy and tub doesn’t look clean. There was no place to hang up our dress clothes.
- Mary (3/5): Stay away. The place is a dump. - Ease of checking in. Was fast and gentleman was nice. The bathroom was reasonably clean which is why we stayed. It reeked of Pinesol!! The scent was so strong we left for as long as we could. Ended up with flared up allergies and a headache.
Room was so dark and gross feeling. Thought the light on one side of the room was broken because the switch just spun and spun but found out upon going to bed it was operated by the switch on the wall hidden behind the window blind you couldn’t easily move as it was one giant piece. If you tapped on the light just right it would finally come on.
There was metal under the bed so each time you even slightly moved in it it would squeak.
Pillows were thin and desperately need replaced.
Burn marks in think bedspread.
Sketchy neighborhood.
Parking is crazy the way it’s set up.
- Jerry (1/5): This may be the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. - good water pressure Floors were sticky and not clean, some lamps did not have bulbs, this two bed room had only one shower towel, bar of soap was ridiculously small, shower did not drain unless one continuously held down the lever, stair steps to second floor were not to code, security latch on the door was inadequate.
- Brian (2/5): Dirty - There was a vacancy By far the dirtiest place I've stayed in. Sheets were so stained my girlfriend slept in the car. Water damage everywhere. TV remote wouldn't work and I had to fix the toilet after every use
- Ken (2/5): - This motel is very run down and shows no signs of maintenance. The floor is so dirty that when I walked in my white socks they turned black on the bottom. The room is in I’ll repair and dirty in general. I was here four days and never saw a cleaning staff or got any service such as trash removed or clean towels. There is signs that some of the people here are permanent residents, as in long bing here. On one side of my room there was a guy that would be standing outside smoking pot on a few times when I would go out of my room. He would hear my car door and come out and watch my every move when I would load or unload anything from my vehicle, both in the evening and early morning hours ( very awkward and uneasy feeling) on the other side of me ther is an older guy that stood outside smoking a lot. This is just a very odd run down dirty and uncomfortable place that I am very disappointed that Expedia would sell me a room in.
This review may seem a bit harsh but if you are going to sell stuff like this people need to know what they are buying. I took plenty of pictures to back up my review.
- Nicole (1/5): Worst motel stay ever!!! - It was terrible. There were what looked like feces smeared on the wall in the bathroom. The only personal belonging that I let touch a surface in my room were my shoes. It was so disgusting. Everything could have been better. Demolish hotel and start over with new personnel. Make sure to clean the walls.
- Tania (8/5): - It was better than I expected from the looks. The man at check in was courteous, the room was clean. I got a room at a better hotel the next day for THE SAME PRICE. I paid about 100 dollars for this one. It could have been less.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room had an unpleasant smell. We were on the second floor and the hallway was very spongy to walk on. I felt very unsafe. The room was terribly small, no room for any bedside tables. I thought the price very high for what we got. The hallway which was outside was littered with ashtrays, cigarette ashes and trash. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
- Timothy (2/5): Terrible don’t stay! - Room was dirty, towels were dirty, filthy bedspreads. Way too expensive for the run down place it was. We had to get off the road and rest, so we picked this one but obviously realized the pics we looked at did not represent truth. Earliest checkout I’ve ever seen, 10am. Should of spent more on a reputable place.
- Anne (8/5): - It was a warm bed and a hot shower
- Sarah (4/5): - The room was really small. no phone no coffee maker. Only one outlet to use and it was in the bathroom. toilet paper holder was all rusty. My neighbor was up and fighting at 230 am with his girlfriend in front of my door. Did not feel safe at all
- Andrew (8/5): Inexpensive and Friendly - No-frills room. Clean sheets and hot water. Staff was friendly and check-in was a breeze!
- Anastacio (10/5): Good stay with very polite owners - It was. Good stay the owners are super friendly ,the rooms are clean, and it's well kept and quite
- Verified traveler (4/5): How about that view? - While the employees were polite and tried to be helpful, they couldn't overcome the disrepair of the room. Or the fact that the floor was so dirty I had to wear shoes or socks the entire time. And the floor of the bath tub isn't tilted sufficiently toward the drain, so when I got in I was standing in about a millimeter of water from either the previous tenant or the cleaning crew.
The "spare" toilet sitting just outside my window, while somewhat amusing as a tale to tell, does not inspire me to return.
- Melvin (6/5): - The. Beds were great
Bathtub was clean with rust stains around the top edges around the sheeting
Shower curtain didn’t keep the water off the floor
Sort of cramped with two queen size beds not much room to move around the beds between the walls
Which didn’t allow run but for one night stand which my CPAP took most of that space
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It advertises 39.95 on biuldboard off highway. But charges us 80.00
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Cheap and close to wineries. A bit dated but room was clean
- teak (6/5): Double charged me - I told them I booked a room then they proceeded to charge me regular price and then re charge me the hotels.com price so I'm currently out 70$
- Raymond (2/5): Bottom of the barrel - Im not surprised the owner hides behind bullet proof glass. Be sure to check the price hotels.com quoted and what he charges your credit card. There was a difference, naturally in his favor. Do you really want to hand someone like that your credit card?
- Rebecca (6/5): You get what you pay for - When we went to our room, the window looked out at a wall... with a broken toilet right outside. The floors were a bit dirty (more like tracks of shoes as it had been mopped). The beds seemed clean as was the bathroom. For the money we spent, it was sufficient.
- Mary (10/5): - Thanks for the service. The staffs are great and it's a decent place.
- Baily (10/5): - Everything was awesome.
- Angie (8/5): - Close and easy to the highway. Friendly staff. Perfect for a quick night stay, room is a little small with few outlets, but otherwise it's great
- Kurt (4/5): - Sheets were not clean, tub/shower needed cleaned, no coffee maker. Bathroom was very old. Not worth the $71 we paid for the night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very pleasant and convenient
Close to work
Great front desk
- Michael (10/5): Happy sleeper - It was great
- Pat (4/5): - Had trouble when checking in
Was charged online and had to pay at checkin
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient and Cozy - Great value, cheap beer next door, quite comfortable, lovely town.
- Kip (2/5): Room was beyond unclean - While the room had nice amenities such as a microwave and a mini-fridge, good appliances are no replacement for basic cleanliness. There was urine on the toilet seat from a previous occupant and part of a used condom wrapper sitting on the bed. I was surprised that I didn't get bed bugs from the room, probably because I slept on top of the comforter and thankfully brought my own blanket and pillow.
- Peyton (2/5): NOT what I had expected from online rating/photos - The rooms looked NOTHING like the photos. The AC was broken and the walls were made of cinderblocks so it's was caking hot like an underground prison. There were no refreshments/hygiene products as one would expect from a 3 star hotel (obviously self proclaimed). It was also connected to a gas station which had very sketchy St Louis citizens around it at all times of the night. Would NEVER recommend due to safety, hygeine or comfort.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Stay far away - Came back from dinner and someone had been in the room while we were out. Paid for on hotels.com and had to pay again when we arrived.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst service! Overcharged and had to confront! - Customer service was terrible! We could have stayed in a similar motel with less confrontation for about $10 more. I recommend you stay elsewhere to ensure you don't have to micromanage the charges, get your own linens, make a trip to the local store for ice, and pay for a microwave and fridge that aren't there or isn't working. Was charged more by motel owner than price booked with hotels.com. Had to confront owner of motel for refund. Refrigerator did not work at all and had water running in floor from beneath. No microwave in the room at all as was promised at booking. No ice machine on premises. Had to ask for correct number of towels and wash clothes for the four people in a two-Queen-bed room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Location is good, right of the highway, easy to find.
Walkway on the second floor leans, making the climb up the stairs and walk to the room mildly terrifying.
Rooms are modestly furnished. The beds were quite comfortable.
WiFi is offered, but not usable. When I could connect, the speeds were not sufficient to even check the weather.
I will not be staying here again, and would not recommend, unless you just need a cheap place to crash for the night.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not business friendly - Business trip one night. Not modern and wifi didn't work. Comfortable bed though and no desk or work area
- SHARI (8/5): - Convenient location all needs met
- mark (10/5): - staff was awesome! very friendly and helpful. room was clean bed very comfy microwav and fridge in room both workred good. flat screen tv with cable including hbo free wifi.for the price ity was very good. i would stay thsere again thats forsure
- nicholas (10/5): This nice for this price - Clean room, super comfy bed and big fridge. No idea what it was like in the past but they were super nice.
- Verified traveler (2/5): will not return - I have never seen a motel room this tiny. The walls were concrete. Even with the heat on, the room was freezing. It was a very long, cold night. The one plus is that the bed was comfortable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Servicable - Hotel is old and no amenities, but bed was comfortable and room was clean.
- Rieta (4/5): A little seedy - I reserved the room for my daughter in law she was near the area around midnight. The man at the front desk came out in a wife beater & boxer shorts. She actually sent me a picture of the sheets they were so visibly stained. Creeped her out. The cost was low so I guess it's a case of getting what you pay for!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Like a Cell - Room felt like a cell. It was very small. Booked a queen bed, but we ended up with double. Requested non-smoking, got put in a smoking room because desk clerk barely understood English. Really not great for people with pulmonary problems. Also, no internet at all, very uncomfortable bed. Bathroom looked old. At least it was a place to stay, but for $50, I could've gotten better for slightly more money.
- Tidbitted (8/5): Nice low budget hotel - For a low budget hotel, I was very pleased. My room was very clean, which is high on my list of priorities. When staying in low budget hotels, one must take into consideration the amount paid for room. It's very dissatisfying to see some distasteful reviews because the reviewer tries to compare to a 4/5 star hotel. Really people, take into consideration what you pay. For the price I paid I can't complain much about the accommodations. My room was adequate and served the purpose for me, and again it was CLEAN. Refrigerator and microwave also clean.
- Verified traveler (4/5): More like a 1-star hotel - A very basic hotel. At check-in, the staff quoted me a different rate to what Expedia had quoted and when I mentioned the difference to him, he said 'Yeah, something like that', but proceeded to charge me the wrong rate.
The room was alright, just like what other viewers have written. The only thing I would say is there was a huge fly in my room and that was gross.
- Kelly (2/5): Worst Hotel Ever!! - worst hotel stay ever the man at the front desk was very rude because I had a booking problem all the man yelled at and barked at me like a dog and told me I needed to leave so we left and went to another hotel. never stay here!!
- A (6/5): Good for a cheap choice - Extremely cold out and room was not warm enough when we arrived. However, bed comfortable and easy to sleep in a chilly room. Good for cheap stay - but next time I'd pay to upgrade.
- Verified traveler (4/5): To much noise from I-70, no alarm clock in room. - Had to leave motel at four o'clock AM.
No clock in room.
- Monty (4/5): Hotel cell - It was a small Brick like cell, nothing really to write about
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Older motel, if you are looking for a place to just get some sleep or stay with a budget then this place will work. We stayed with several kids and being able to find a room with 3 beds was really helpful. This room had a mini fridge and tv that is a must when staying with a big family.
There's a gas station next door to get snacks and drinks at with out having to drive. Looked like truck parking spots was right in the middle of their small lot for truckers. Located between exits 199 and 200 on south side of interstate.
I would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great value - Nice people. Building is not very updated, but the bed had a brand new pillow top mattress! Can't beat that for $43/night!
- Not Provided (8/5): In and out - Best price in stloius area close to i70 ..... Service was friendly ...... Room was clean ..... Slept wonderfully!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - was good for the one night was there. just needed somewhere to sleep.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Price was increased at desk, hotel smelled and was run down
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel close to Cedar Lake Cellars winery - We stayed here for 2 nights because of a wedding we were attending at a local winery. The room was older, but had nice amenities (such as a microwave, mini fridge, large flat screen tv and ) and was very clean. The staff was friendly and there was a gas station right behind the hotel for snacks. Definitely a great room for a fair price.
