Guest Reviews
- Erica (7/5): Great staff, good food - Great Staff, comfortable clean rooms & good food a little on the expensive side, but suited me better to be outside Killarney,
- Kristin (8/5): A very quaint hotel that is homey and has a good lounge and breakfast! - The Torc Hotel is just outside Kilkenny and very comfortable. The staff were welcoming and the breakfast was outstanding. Try the French Toast for something different! The room was quiet despite the number of Rally guests during the Bank Holiday. The tub is quite deep and difficult for older guests to step into, but the water was hot and the bathroom very spacious.
- James (8/5): really enjoyed my stay, the food was the best i have ever tasted - breakfast gorgeous coffee with evening meal, very watery
- Stephen (10/5): Great staff, food, venue and location - Lovely scenic location.
Lovely christmas decoration
Great breakfast, cooked fresh
Excellent staff, even workmen passing through said, Good morning
- Richard (10/5): -
- White (9/5): -
- Amy (10/5): - Spotless room
Lovely staff
Clean and comfortable
- Melinda (10/5): - Very close to Killarney was very convenient that way. The day we explored Killarney we were too exhausted that evening to figure out where to eat so we decide to eat at the hotel restaurant/bar and it was very good.
- Ronald (10/5): - This hotel was great but does need a little refresh. It's looking dated but it met our needs and the front staff were great. The breakfast was fantastic as were the staff. We were late for dinner but the bar was well attended and food we saw looked awesome. Yes I'd return and recommend.
- Roy (10/5): - Very comfortable beds . Rooms are clean and food was fantastic .
- Tracy (8/5): - Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Building is old, however for its vintage the room was surprisingly quiet. Breakfast was tasty with a good selection
- Robert (10/5): - Excellent in all regards. Food excellent as well.
- Jacqui (6/5): - Our stay here was just okay.the room was okay but you can hear people walking around upstairs very clearly. The real downsides here was the breakfast which was very poor and everything was done on the cheap.
- Isabel (10/5): - Catherine at the front desk was super lovely and we had no trouble checking in or out! The food here is also great and convenient when you’ve had a long day of travel. I definitely recommend their seafood chowder! Yum! Breakfast was also super good and convenient before heading out for the day!
The room was spacious and clean. We loved our stay here.
- George (8/5): - Food was excellent after a long day’s driving. Very convenient
- Jun (10/5): - It's a nice room, clean with all the stuff you need
- Sullivan (8/5): Lovely stay. Friendly staff and good breakfast. - The room was really lovely. I had a bad back and the receptionist put us in a room with a bath so I could soak. Breakfast was great, staff friendly. A little bit more out of downtown than I thought.
- Shannen (10/5): -
- Fred (8/5): - Excellent staff
- Susan (10/5): - Beautiful clean room with heated bathroom floors. Bed was comfy and the food in the pub/restaurant was top notch. Would definitely stay again. There isn’t any nearby restaurants or services so it was great that the hotel had such good food. The breakfast had many options k clding cold cuts and pastries and the hot options were cooked to order. This was a jewel of a find for our road trip to the Ring of Kerry.
- Victorina (10/5): - Very good
- Mariam (10/5): - Very happy with lady at reception. She was welcoming and guided me on my upcoming tours. The lady server at breakfast was very friendly and brought us delicious breakfast according to what we ordered.
Enjoyed the skippers at breakfast. Hot and tasty.
Chef made delicious food.
Thank you!!
- Yaser (10/5): - It was very comfortable I enjoy stay very friendly staff member especially Raoof thanks
- Carol Anne (8/5): - All staff were very friendly and I would definitely stay there again.
- Mary (10/5): - Terrific location on the edge of Killarney. Plenty of free parking. Good restaurant and bar on site. The breakfast was very generous.
- Melissa (10/5): - The Torc is a highly recommended hotel. From the location, the warm welcoming staff, and the five star dining experience, it’s a must stay hotel. The breakfast in the morning delicious!
- Carina (6/5): Tråkigt hotell. - Närhet till nationalparken Trist restaurang o frukostmatsal. Stressad och oengagerad personal
- Lori (4/5): - The lady at the reception desk was great and the breakfast was good. The place is old and had an odor. Our room was so small we could barely fit our luggage in it. The bathroom was so small too. We tried to get into the Adare Manor Castle but it was already full. The Torc was the only other hotel. Luckily it was only for 1 night.
- Shanie (7/5): - The property was very clean , great location and staff were all lovely and helpful . The gluten free menu wasn’t actually gluten free as food wasn’t cooked separately and I was very sick after a meal .
- Kenneth (10/5): - A quaint old-fashioned-- in good ways-- hotel. Room was big, clean and comfortable. Nice that they have an onsite restaurant, bar and very large breakfast room -- complete with a nice hot breakfast (that even includes Bailey's 😁). And a lift/elevator. Only 2 complaints: 1). One must either drive or take a taxi into town-- no public transportation close by and (2) No A/C or fans. Overall, though, a lovely place to stay.
- Debra (8/5): - A very nice stay.
- Martina (8/5): Lovely stay - Lovely quite hotel abit outside the town. Check in was easy, staff were very friendly, room was immaculately kept, food in bar was amazing. My only negative was room service knocked and walked into our room at 9am on the sunday morning! Check out wasnt until 11am, i wouldve queried this upon check out but there wasnt anyone on reception.
- Debra (10/5): - Beautiful historic hotel that was convenient to us as we finished a day long trip around the ring of Kerry. Had dinner and bar available late. The best Irish breakfast we have had this week! Would definitely recommend and return!
- Helena (6/5): - More like 2 star entrance. Bed is too big for room. Tea/ coffee facilities are a paper cup with instants in a plastic bag.
Bed and pillow very hard. Breakfast was greasy
- Breda (6/5): - The lady on reception was lovely, really helpful and accomodating. Room was clean and beds very comfortable. Breakfast was good too.
- justin (7/5): - excellent
- Paul (6/5): - Nice hotel and staff very friendly.
No Air Con in the rooms so in hot weather gets very hot.
No air extraction in the bathroom.
Water pressure very low in the shower
- Diana (8/5): - Great
- Courtney (10/5): - Everything great
- Freddie (9/5): Central located hotel, very comfortable - Breakfast was excellent, also the evening meal,
Sheila the breakfast server was both cheerful and helpful.
Disabled parking was very close
- Camila (7/5): Good - The staff was really helpful and the hotel was a tradicional Irish old hotel building. It was close enough to town, and plenty of parking spaces and a nice pub/restaurant. Breakfast was fresh and with the usual options, you can order a full Irish to your table which is sometimes better than the buffet style. Super warm, no air conditioning and even if you open the window it’s not enough to bring grease air to the room that feels super stuffy. The price per night could have been better for what it offers... The pressure on the shower wasn’t the best, but did the job.
- Gerard and Sandra (8/5): - This was a no frills hotel that was very clean and updated. The food was excellent and the staff was okay.
- Jolene (10/5): - The place was wonderful! They make you feel right at home. Everyone is so attentive to your every needs. The food both dinner and breakfast was outstanding! Highly recommend to anyone!
- Nuala (10/5): - Everything was perfect
- Jacques (8/5): - The Hotel is very nice and the staff very helpful. The parking is very easy being in front of the Hotel. There was a coffee machine in the room but no fridge. The bed and bedding were nice. We were lucky to get upgraded to a nicer much larger room as our first option was deceiving. Un fortunately, the Hotel is far from the center.
- Gillian (10/5): - The Torc Hotel was as it always is a brilliant place to stay. Theres a lovely bar with great food and friendly staff. Our room was lovely but unfortunately we had to access it with the stairs, not good with a bad ankle. The room was clean and comfortable beds. So overall we had a great stay. We will be back
- Carol (10/5): - Would love it if you had live music
- Amanda (10/5): - Staff were friendly and helpful
- Gustaf (10/5): - Nice big clean room.
- Daniel (8/5): - Nice hotel, off the beaten path.
- Natasha (6/5): - Nice hotel, good amenities
- Douglas (10/5): - What a lovely little place in the country, but very convenient to town. The food and drinks were excellent. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Nice stay
- MARITE (10/5): Great breakfast - Receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. Pillow was hard, I prefer softer
- Kristi (8/5): - Room was fine- bed was kind of uncomfortable.
- Helena (8/5): - Lovely receptionist with great reccomendations for what to do in the area. Good fish and chips. The breakdast was decent, with a hot breakfast made to order.
The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. A bit noisy next to the road and not much to do around the hotel due to the busy road. I should mention that the windows were very sound proof!
- Trisha (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jean (10/5): - Lovely clean room and hotel, comfy beds, helpful and very friendly staff, excellent food and good portions for dinner, desert etc, lovely selection for breakfast also and hotel rate value for money, will definitely stay again,
- Francis (8/5): - Nice hotel, good location near Ring of Kerry
- Frances (10/5): Great weekend - Comfortable, good heating statement, clean! Friendly and efficient staff! We will definately return
- Kurt A (10/5): This was a great experience - We enjoyed this beautiful hotel with all it's charm, great restaurant and food. Thepints were cold and the people who work here were great! We really appreciated the stay.
- Matthew (4/5): - The hotel did not match up to the photos on the Expedia website. We looked at the restaurant menu and were unenthused so were compelled to take a taxi into town
- Steven (10/5): - Nice couple of days to explore Kerry, Great staff and fantastic breakfast. I would definitely stay again and the Guinness in the bar was pretty good.
- O (10/5): Exceptional -
- Edward (10/5): - We are arrived on Friday and was greeted by Margret at reception lovely women very friendly checked us in and bright us to the lift and off we went
Rooms are basic but spotless clean . What more would you want the bar staff is all happy and very nice people . We didn't mean one rude person in the hotel .
The food is 10/10 and all roasting hot as it should be . The breakfast is A1 after a few pints and plenty of what ever cereal you eat then have a hot menu also which is also A1 .
Would we stay hear again definitely why not we are both very happy with it and only 10 min drive to town .
Thanks again .
Eddie

- Verified traveler (10/5): The place for comfort and hospitality - Absolutely lovely stay at Torc Hotel. The staff was a pleasure to interact with and a testament to what hospitality should be.

- Kay (7/5): Hotel in good location for peaceful stay , staff outstanding, food excellent - Greeting upon arrival extremely fast and friendly which is a great sign .
Breakfast very nice , coffee was a bit weak , breakfast room setting great very spacious and staff outstanding 😀
Bar bistro staff and all hotel staff were excellent extremely helpful and friendly, bar bistro food amazing, their signature dessert we ate was baked alaska and it was fantastic.
Lovely cosy home from home atmosphere in the bar . We enjoyed our stay thanks to all the staff 😀 Better coffee ☕️ for breakfast , musty smell in the second floor hall area from carpets, hotel bedroom furniture carpets etc outdated needs fresh ideas. Floors in bedrooms creaked quite a bit could hear next doors noise.
- Michaela (10/5): - Staff couldn’t have been nicer. Very accommodating. Very reasonably priced and large clean rooms. 5 minute taxi ride from Killarney Town. Food in the restaurant was lovely. We were staying for the rally and were going to miss breakfast so hotel offered to make us lunch to take with us. Couldn’t ask for better
- John (10/5): - Just what we were looking for. Easy access to local sights.
- Aaron (9/5): Superb -
- Vivek (10/5): - Really nice hotel and friendly staff. The breakfast was fantastic. We had one problem which was sorta not the hotel's fault - there was a huge group of awfully drunk rude people at the restaurant when we were eating dinner which kind of ruined it. Suggestion to bar/restaurant staff for the future - please don't over-serve people who are obviously already quite sloppy drunk and yelling and cursing at the top of their lungs - especially when there are children trying to eat. Thank you!
- Htut (10/5): Small but cozy hotel. - Small but lovely hotel with very friendly staffs. Room is nice and warm. Our room was close to the stairs and it is a bit noisy when other guests passing our room. Breakfast was excellent and very tasty. Overall i would stay again. Thanks.

- Benjamin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gerardo (4/5): - Nice charming place with Character. The staff is super nice. The room was comfortable but the air circulation was very poor (room 109) barely any air and although great cool weather the room was almost a sauna.
- timothy (10/5): - Convenient to park and bike rental. Food was good.
- Angel (10/5): - Hotel hermoso, habitaciones comodas y elndesayino rico, definitivamente muy recomendable.
- Cotter (10/5): Exceptional -

- Michael Meredith (10/5): - We stayed here in Torc Hotel for 3 nights and we loved it, a nice place to stay with friends or family.
- Michael (8/5): - Catherine was behind the desk …
Can’t say enough good things about her. Outstanding, extremely helpful.
She went above and beyond helping us out.
- Margaret (8/5): Every thing else was fine - Every thing was fine thank you Nothing really only we had long walk to room from the lift and lost our way a couple of times ✖️
- Clare (10/5): - Lovely staff, comfortable stayed
- Margaret (8/5): Good choice - Really disappointed that there was no water in the room … the website photos from this hotel even show water in the shot so I expected it … otherwise a great stay, country location but convienent to all routes, great breakfast, friendly helpful staff, great bar food, lovely atmosphere, updated rooms comfortable and I had a great sleep.
- Sofya (7/5): Good -
- Claire (10/5): Clean and great location - Clean, good location, staff very nice and helpful
- Audrey (10/5): - Parfait! Emplacement idéal pour visiter Killarney, l’anneau de Kerry et la péninsule de Dingle. Hôtel très agréable, restaurant et pub. Petit déjeuner très copieux. Chambre spacieuse et très propre. Je recommande vivement !
- Jason (10/5): - This place was excellent!!! Conveniently located close to shopping and restaurants. Short walk to temple bar, place was so modern clean and sleek. Would definitely stay here again
- Verified traveler (4/5): - very small room for a lot of money - no value for money
