- Sue (8/5): - Very friendly staff!
- Jason (8/5): -

- Michaela (7/5): Trolley was great. Saved money then being in town - Views are great! Staff was really nice Wish we’d have breakfast. Has so much potential. Casino closed at 12 but can understand if it’s not busy. Think a lot more people would stay here if hallways had better lighting and bathroom got new fans and a paint job.
- Anderson (8/5): -
- JAMIE (5/5): Comfortable - Staff was friendly and attentive, overall fairly clean, needs some attention Noisy bathroom fan, poor drainage in the bathtub, curtain rod holder barely in place, door plate going into bathroom loose and hazardous,
- Steve (10/5): -
- Steve (10/5): - Everything is great here and the staff is wonderful. Nothing, all good
- Wright (1/5): No breakfast in the morning , restaurant was closed - Had a walking trail close by, a trout stream behind the hotel It was nice

- Rory (9/5): -
- Mikaela (8/5): - Friendly staff, clean and inviting The bathroom fans were very noisy
- Jeff (9/5): Nice place. - Great staff.
Nice gaming area. No service while gaming. Had to go get own drinks.
- Melissa (6/5): 60/40 - I did appreciate Jonas as he check us in then switched us rooms when we decided we needed a front door room. The pastries in the morning were very nice but didnt start till late and my man had to leave by 6:30 am for work so he always left hungry. I didnt like that they had the water turned off all day and never notified us. I didnt enjoy the casino. All the games were high priced so in order to really enjoy it you had to go thru a lot of money and the machines never hit.
- LaShelle (10/5): Awesome place to stay - Nice and clean It was all great
- Leeling (8/5): -
- maddogm2026 (10/5): Gulch stay - Nice room nice location with a creek out the back to listen to and great prices too

I have stay here in the past and absolutely enjoyed my stay the atmosphere is great and there location isn’t too crowded or too far from downtown Deadwood absolutely amazing place…I will definitely be staying here when I’m in the area again thank you to the staff for all your hospitality Crystal Kurzenberger
- Ross (10/5): Amazing. Love it here. - The quietness. It was hard to get a drink
- Layne (10/5): -
- O7793VSannetteb (6/5): Deadwood Gulch - We have stayed here many times. HOWEVER this time there was no food to be had except at bar which was frozen pizza or frozen apps. No breakfast. The rooms are good and the bed was comfortable. The cost was only $50 so very affordable. The staff was very friendly.
- Isabelle (10/5): -
- Miller (10/5): Excellent place to stay. Clean, quiet, nice variety of gaming machines. - The location was excellent. Room was quiet, clean and so cozy! The staff was super friendly and answered all our questions. We will definitely be back! Nothing.
- Barbara (9/5): Comfortable for the price - Bed was comfortable. The room temperature was easy to adjust. Parking was easy Restaurant was being remodeled. Only had donuts and coffee for continental breakfast. Our room faced the creek view but the only view we had was the roof of a building and a window screen that had fallen off one of the upper windows.
- Doug (7/5): -
- Paula (9/5): - Bed Smoke smell outside our door from neighbors.
- arthur (1/5): IT WAS A BSD SHOWING FOR THE BRAND WYNDHAM RESORTS - THEY DID NOT HAVE BREAKFAST THERE OK BED OK FROM WHEN WE BOOKED IT OUR UNDERSTANDING WAS THAT THERE WAS A RESTAURANT, CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST, LAUNDRY FACILITY. THEY call it A resort, but THERE WAS NONE OF IT. The restaurant was CLOSED, NO BREAKFAST FOOD, NO WASHING CLOTHES FOR GUESTS. BEEN WE WERE THERE for 4 days, 700 CANADIAN CASH. IT WAS A GREAT LET DOWN
- Terri (8/5): - Couldn't use outdoor deck because of a wedding
- Jesse (9/5): -
- Melinda (10/5): -
- Ma (7/5): Comfortable place, super staff. Would stay again - Loved having TWO doors. Great water pressure in the shower. Cool peril wipes. Jonah was super nice and very helpful. There was a lot of damage inside our room. Holes in wall, door frame loose, hair dryer wiggles.
- Shannan (8/5): -
- James (10/5): It was our third stay at the Deadwood Gulch. We stay there when the Deadwood Jam is in town! Abso - The staff was crazy good! So kind to us. Very helpful. Breakfast consisted of pastries & coffee, as that area was under construction. The resort was very clean. Maybe a gift card to a local Cafe for breakfast? We didn't mind the coffee & pastries though.
- Brian (5/5): Never again. - In a beautiful location. Advertised as a place where the rooms all had scenic views-- all windows faced the parking lot. Additionally our room specifically was behind the entrance arc which blocked both windows completely.
Also booking.com made zero mention of a casino being present which was awkward when we arrived with our teen daughter.
The noise from the casino bled into the rooms. The room layout was weird. The TV was small and terrible. And we paid for a separated room to have privacy from our daughter but got put into a standard open room.
Motel 6 would have been better and cheaper. I was beyond disappointed abd it nearly ruined our trip.
- Denzel (9/5): - The booking was flawless, the room was comfortable, the staff was friendly, and I have nothing but positive things to say about the location. I didn’t care much for the rain.
- William Frank (8/5): -
- Karen (10/5): -
- Rebekah (4/5): - Location We paid almost $800 for two nights in a family suite, and it was just a normal room with a janky pullout sofa. Cleanliness of public areas was not great, either.
- Cheryl (9/5): Nice room, nice staff, nice casino, no laundry machines - Very nice staff, decided to extend our stay. Front desk staff assisted so we could stay in the same room. The Hot tub was warm and clean. Free coffee and juice in the morning. Did not have laundry facilities on site. Nearest laundry is across town.
- Cheryl (9/5): Nice motel - Nice staff, comfortable rooms. Need laundry facilities on site.
- Barbara (7/5): - Restaurant was undergoing renovation so they had coffee and pastries in the morning. They were gone when we got to the area about 8 so we had to wait for another round to be delivered. They probably should have ordered more. Patio was lovely and fortunately weather was good. We had a family reunion so if it had been raining that day (which it did the next) we would not have had an area to meet. Rooms a bit dated. Location great. Front desk staff very pleasant.
- Paul (10/5): -
- Duane (5/5): -
- JoEtta (7/5): - Old needs some renovation but comfortable Old structure / facility tiles in the room show the age renovation is needed
- LaShelle (10/5): Great place to stay! - Very clean Everything was good
- Josh (7/5): -
- Karen (9/5): -
- Alyssa (10/5): -
- Brett (8/5): Clean and reasonably priced Deadwood property with a casino - Clean and reasonably priced Deadwood property with a casino Nothing.
- FarAway576466 (10/5): This is one of my new favorite places to stay - Great out of the way resort. Close to town. Clean with friendly staff Hottub was warm and open till midnight. Restaurant was closed due to reservations but they supplied us with numerous choices that delivered right to our room. Would highly recommend
- Misty (10/5): It was perfect - The location and views Nothing
- Kenneth (10/5): Clean and great staff -
- Bubba (10/5): - Good staff the room was nice but it was cold Not a lot of games to play had no breakfast
- Aaron (9/5): -
- evaS6411JV (8/5): Upgrade to Diamond Level but didn't get a chance to use it. - Always a great time. Was excited because I was upgraded to Diamond level and requested an upgrade but, it never happened. Wasn't even offered. I don't think I should have asked again if I already requested it in my note section. I asked a ground floor room and received that part.
- Martha (9/5): -
- Global59748012785 (10/5): Wonderful Stay! - Deadwood Gulch was a lovely surprise! Everything was nice and clean, and we had a beautiful view of the creek right from our Room. Staff was beyond frindly and super helpful! We absolutely loved our Stay and would definitely come back again!
- Trottier (7/5): -
- Lisa (9/5): Resort area - Beautiful location. Clean room. Far from expressway with hilly road that was difficult to manage pulling a trailer.
- Carol (10/5): -
- Bossert (8/5): -
- Ashly (10/5): - The hotel was very quiet and clean. It’s an older hotel like most in Deadwood but we felt it was very comfortable and would stay there again.
- Travis (10/5): - Clean rooms and friendly staff what more could you ask for. The location
- Mark (5/5): -
- Murray (10/5): - Location No breakfast
- Lisa (9/5): Great!! - Excellent No restaurant.
- Justin (8/5): Fun in Deadwood - The room was as described in the website. The staff was friendly and helpful. The gambling floor was fun and active. The bartenders were great to talk to. I had no problem with my stay.
- Bryan (7/5): - Price I reserved this stay appt 3 months before my stay. I need a ground floor room due to health issues. Never got a notice until we arrived that they didn’t have what I needed. They should have given me advanced notice.
Very disappointed!
- Brandy (9/5): Beautiful location away from all the noise of downtown. - The beds were extremely comfortable. The room had great water pressure and was clean. Best part was the trolley came right to the front door.
- Riley (7/5): -
- Brad (7/5): Watch out fool the one armed bandits - Everything, people, location and beds One armed bandits taking all my money. Rooms a bit outdated, no usb plug ins
- Katrina (6/5): - Location, staff, shuttle Insects/bugs in room.
- Ivan (10/5): I’ve stayed here in the past and this most recent stay was better than the last. - Great value and location right on the Mickelson trail. Exactly what I was looking for. Online check in / out was smooth enough. Front desk staff was also helpful.
- Legge (10/5): -
- Juliana (5/5): -
- Gajewski (10/5): Will stay here again. Price, location and room 10/10 - They staff was friendly. The room was big and clean.
- Patricia (9/5): - We liked the quite ness of the room. The bathroom needed a little up date.
- Theresa (7/5): -
- Escape01952300858 (10/5): Our Happy Place - My wife and I have been visiting the gulch for a few years now and have always had a wonderful time. We were a little concerned upon learning that the resort was under new ownership, but were beyond pleased with all of the improvements we experienced on this trip , with even more in the works. The place has always been reasonably clean , but it is beyond obvious that the new ownership is taking clean to a new level. The staff is all smiles ,and very approachable and helpful. We have already booked a visit for next spring and are very excited to see the upcoming dining establishment and whatever other improvements are in store. The casino floor is in the process of upgrading nearly all of the machines and although we did not come out winners, we felt that the play was reasonable for a casino experience and even witnessed a couple significant wins. The fact that the resort is a bit off of the beaten path is a plus for us, and a trolley is available regularly for those that do not wish to make the short drive in to town. We always stay in the Presidential suite which has a living area, island area, microwave, refrigerator and sink as well as a luxurious bath with huge tub, large walk in shower( with bench),and a huge mirror and double vanity. There is also a deck that faces the beautiful stream in back.
- Jeff (6/5): -
- Merv (9/5): We enjoyed it very much and we will return - It was very clean and had a beautiful small creek right below our window Prices for snacks were quite high
- Christine (4/5): There are definitely better options for staying in Deadwood. - Not much. The only thing we did like was that our window was against the hill side so we could see and hear the creek. Most of the experience. Restaurant wasn't operational and we weren't told that at the time of booking. So we had planned to eat most of our meals there. Upon checkin is when we were told that the restaurant wasnt opened, but we were told that donuts would be available from 6am-10am.....but both days the donuts were gone before 8am. We knew it was older, but figured it had been remodeled, we were wrong. Half the gambling machines were down, most of the time we were there so there was rarely an open machine to use. We were told the shuttle scheduled and 2 times the shuttle came thru a few mins early, and didn't stop because no one was standing right at the stop, so both times we seen it coming and seen it leave without stopping. We knew about the shuttle service so didn't plan to use our vehicle while we were there, but we ended up having to use it the whole time. We were wanting to use the shuttle because parking isnt easy downtown, especially when you are driving a large truck.
We probably wont be staying again.
- Dan (6/5): It was ok. - Location I didn’t like going through the casino to check in. There restaurant was closed so there wasn’t any breakfast. The pictures make it look like a resort which is very deceiving.
- Barbara (3/5): Avoid this place at all cost. - Will, the desk clerk was GREAT!! Bathroom floor dirty, soft bed, light/fan in the bathroom very loud...not usable. We reserved and paid for, in July, a King size bed. You could not accommodate that except on a 2nd floor, with NO elevator!! Serious? We have stayed with you, prior, but trust me when I say we positively will NOT be back.
- Rachel (10/5): -
- debra (10/5): - This place is wonderful! The rooms are nice and spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The outdoor seating is absolutely beautiful!
- Robert (8/5): - Nice rooms and great views. Unfortunately no mention was made that the restaurant would not be open for remodeling. That was one of the reasons I booked the room so I didn’t have to leave to eat
- Brandon (8/5): -
- Deering (5/5): The tone was wonderful, the hotel, not so good. - Not much no ammentitnits this time of the year. Restaurant was closed never told that and booking company told us that either no indoor pool wasn't told it was a casino and the original king room we booked later we found it was not available got a different room with 2 separate beds in stead of one bed and we were supposed to get a Whirlpool suite which we booked on booking.com. The gentleman that checked us in Jonah. Didn't tell us anything about the property. There was no breakfast. Available like booking.com told us except Danish. Which is not breakfast which we were told room was very overpriced and not enough plugins and old and run down. Dead flies in the window mold. Just very run down. And no elevator for the 2nd floor which we were on and I was if we were known known that we were going to be on the 2nd floor we would requested a room on the 1st floor because I just getting over a broken ankle. Just very unhappy not for the money and very unhappy. Will not recommend.
- Ed (10/5): - Yes
- Darcy (9/5): A reasonable clean place to stay. - Very clean rooms. Great access to trails & trolley service to downtown. -
