- Carol (2/5): - tHE MANAGER ASKED MY HUSBAND HOW MUCH HE PAID FOR ME, THINKING i WAS A PROSTITUTE. We were deeply offended by that, since Im his wife! The room had gray filthy towels in the bathroom, the comforter had a hole in it right on the top- the pillows were flat and we had to ask for more. the walls had human fingerprints on it by the door and lightswitch, no coffee pot at all, only one reading lamp by the side of the bed, the air conditioner ran all night and never cooled the room off.

- Michael J (4/5): - I kind of had a feeling of what to expect based on reviews, but being I knew it was a less expensive motel and I just needed it to serve the purpose of being at an event I thought “how bad could it be?” It seemed the room was atleast tended to. Bathroom looked like it was clean. The room smelt like strong cigarettes and old furniture. Bed coverings were gross and had cigarette burns in them. There were Marks on it as well. Walls have marks all over them and pillow cases were faded and discolored. Outside smells like there are clearly people who have not very good hygiene and they most likely live in the motel. I figured based on the area being very rural and isolated, and it being close to the venue I was going to it would be something to settle for but, the low ratings are for a reason. I can’t imagine how much more money it would be to invest in painting some walls and doing an overhaul on getting new blankets sheets and pillow cases. So please do that. $80 a night it not even worth that stay given the area. I’m sorry, but please take care of your business and customers.

No breakfast was available, as stated. Good price for a quick overnight stay, but definitely needs a modernized make over.

Both rooms could have used a good cleaning and the baseboard heater in the bathroom was rusted. I would never stay there again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

- Vanessa (2/5): Horrible experience/condidtion - The room was beyond filthy. Walls were stained with food and other liquids that were never cleaned off. Spiderwebs with bugs on the walls on floor. Even though we were in a smoking room and the sheets had burn holes, we also had sheets that were blood stained. You can hear mice in the walls. When I spoke to the front desk, he said there was no way they had mice and that I was expecting too much for a place that wasn’t a 5 star hotel. Stay far away from this motel!
- David (10/5): - Despite some negative reviews, I decided to book this place due to it's proximity to Newton, which I had to attend for business. Overall I was very happy with the experience. The building was older but clean and functional. The heating system and bar fridge seemed very new. The bathroom was clean and the tub/shower were in good shape. I was there from Sunday to Thursday and it was quiet the while time. I would return.

- Heather (10/5): - Easy to find, good parking, the gentleman at check in was SO sweet. Room was clean and comfortable, nice and quiet; I didn't hear anything from the rooms around me. The tv remote wasn't the greatest of working so I just found a channel on the box and stuck with that all night. Bed, 2 nightstands, a dresser, a desk and chair. Several outlets. If you come with any children who may wonder thru drawers...there were flavored condoms in the drawers of mine so maybe check that before little ones can grab them. This was super close to a work training event, and if I ever go back I'll definitely stay here again!
- Jackie M. (8/5): - We came up for the Camp Crystal Lake tour. Hubby and I are horror fans. Not a lot of places to stay near the event. The Holiday Motel was conveniently located in Andover about 30 minutes from the camp. It's not fancy place, but the owners were awesome, they showed us how to turn the heat on, and October in Northern NJ heat is a must. Room was clean, beds were comfy, fridge and microwave in the room. There was a diner up the street, Andover Diner, just amazing. I'm glad we stayed. Fun trip.

- Raymond (6/5): - I was in town for the island drags. This was the only place in a 20 mile area for under a 100.00 dollars at 97.00 total. Like it’s said you get what you pay for! I got the lowest price room not a 200.00 room. That being said good bang for your buck! The room was ok fairly clean bed was ok ac worked good. The only things that I did not like the towels were dingy looking only one face towel and it looked like one of my shop rags. The bed pillows needed replaced no shape and flat. Good shower very hot water not great pressure but it got the job done. So again for the price what do you want? I would stay here again but next time I will bring my towels! lol the check in was ok and the front people were very nice!

Dead bugs everywhere, dirt, grime, stains, clogged sink, air filter for heat/ac unit was completely clogged so air didn't get through, broken locks on door, the list goes on. Room looked like it hadn't been serviced in many months, if at all. Better off sleeping in your car.

THIER OFFER to accommodate me at checkin was to tell me there were other hotels available, just time them $20 cancelation charge and don’t come back. - Steven (8/5): Friendly, Helpful, and On The Rise - Owner is very friendly and helpful. We had questions about the wi-fi and he personally came over to our room to help us out. While it's an older property, there have been a number of renovations and upgrades - for example, our bathroom was very new and modern. We would stay here again for the location near hiking trails and I expect the place will be much nicer if the owner continues these improvements.
- Jason (2/5): Hotel is a BioHazard. - This was the worst place I've ever seen. I don't know how it is permitted to operate. Blood, what appeared to be feces, long hairs on the bed sheets, pillowcases and bedskirt. Liquid splatter on the walls, families living at the hotel. Owner did refund our money after we looked at two rooms and refused them both. He was very nice. I don't understand why this is an acceptable standard of conduct for his business. We travel a great deal and this was the worst hotel by far, that I've ever seen.

The shower was not worthy of even putting your feet in it. Used bar soap by bathroom sink. Towels were low grade, mattresses where the cheapest on the market. Not worth the money! $100 I would have slept in my car and got a better sleep. Very creepy! Filthiest place I've ever been in!

But our room smelled of cigarette smoke which was very hard on my son with asthma (pretty sure it was advertised as a non-smoking room), and it was not clean. I am hoping we didn't bring home any bed bugs. We couldn't leave fast enough. 😟 I left honestly wishing we had slept in our car.

- Amy (4/5): - We arrived very late at night (past midnight), and I called to let them know we would be checking in late. When we arrived the door was locked - so I rang the bell. The gentleman inside was cleaning — saw us, and kept doing what he was doing. Despite two obvious travelers outside the door at almost 1am. I rang again, and he ignored us.. again. I called the motel, and the same man picked up the phone (while I’m staring at him through the door) and finally let us in to check in. The room was very dirty, and the bed smelled like cat urine (not sure how that is possible). The bed was very squeaky and the bedsheets felt like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The air conditioner would run for a second, and then shut off… so we had to go without fresh air for the night. We woke up early the next day expecting to be able to grab some coffee from the continental breakfast they were offering, but there was no food or drinks put out — and the door to the lobby was locked (with no one in sight) so we couldn’t even ask about it. The room was VERY cheap ($80), so I wasn’t expecting much — but I feel like I’m going to need to take 10 showers when we get home to wash the smell of the room off of me. If you’re OK with staying in a dingy side-of-the-road motel for a night on a whim, it will suffice — but if you have the extra cash to spare — go somewhere else. Also, we found weed in the room — not sure if that’s a plus or not.

- Elizabeth (2/5): Scary and not worth it! - HORRIBLE! I don’t know why there was so many good reviews, it honestly looked like a motel seen in a horror movie. We checked in five minutes before we decided to check out. I honestly wish I could get my money back. There were people running back and forth and were using flash lights to look underneath random cars while laughing. Very creepy and uncomfortable. Don’t waste your money!!!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Located away from the general public in Andover, NJ is probably the best thing about this motel. Checking in was easy but came down to being more about money than customer service. The room initially had a musty odor and was dirty, had dead bugs in the window sills, dust on the bathroom door, and bathroom mirror was very spotty. The table in the room was wobbly. WIFI was weak at best, needed to use data/hotspot on my phone for most things and other devices. TV did not have reception first night, when it was fixed on second day I was told the batteries were replaced in the remote and was now working. TV and cable box had service but not sure that is all there was to it.

It is a smaller motel however that allows you to park right in front of your room. Room is small however very nicely set up and very clean. Bathroom has a beautiful lighted mirror and sparkling wide tile. Lots of hot water and great pressure. Towels are soft. Nice 2 door small refrigerator, micro wave and dryer. Personalized service. Strongly recommend.

The A/C unit was filthy, filter clogged, outlets moldy and the knob to turn it off/change settings was missing so we couldn't adjust it at all. Bathroom was tiny, very clean but bad water pressure in shower.

He understood that we were so tired and we wanted to freshen up before we go the a wedding rehearsal. Clean and comfortable rooms and good location

The water was hard and it was almost impossible to lather up in the shower. The breakfast consisted on one mini muffin and coffee. The was not hot water for my wife to have a cup of tea.
