Guest Reviews
- Carolien (8/5): - Fine stay with our kids
- Jeff (10/5): - Lovely
- Kim-Dung (8/5): - It was a pleasant stay. Very comfortable. Close to transit. The a/c wasn’t working our last day but everything else was fine. Cleaning staff was great. Hotel staff was also friendly.
- Matthew lee (10/5): - This hotel had the most friendliest staff ever! Any need my wife and I had was met with smiles. The location was perfect! 250 meters to the entrance of the metro. We could get anywhere in Paris we wanted to go in under 30 minutes. I highly recommend this hotel.
- Johannes (10/5): - Super freundlich, sauber, sehr schöne Zimmer.
- Tomas (10/5): Beautiful design hotel for a city trip - Super beautiful hotel, closely located to the metro bringing you across Paris.
Friendly service, nicely decorated. Rooms are perfect for a city trip in Paris
- Rocco (10/5): - Bello, tranquillo e accogliente.
- Sara (10/5): - This hotel was perfect for our 4 day stay in Paris and less than a block away from the subway to get anywhere in the city.
- Yuk Wei Cecilia (10/5): - It was a nice stay in the 14th arrondissment. The hotel is nicely renovated and the staff were friendly. They even showed us a nice tour around the hotel. Also, it is a min walk from the metro station.
- Joshua (10/5): - It was perfectly situated for all of the activities we had planned
- Luisa (10/5): - Very cute hotel in a great environment. The eve rooms are quite small. I would come back.
- Nadiya (10/5): - Everything was very good !
- Alexis (10/5): - Lovely staff, courtyard-facing rooms are very quiet. Small rooms but had everything you need.
- Verified traveler (8/5): No wardrobe - Amazing staff were so accommodating however no wardrobe or drawers to put any clothes in
- Tracey (10/5): - The best hotel service I have received. The perfect little boutique hotel in Paris. It’s lovely very modern and feels unique. The filtered water and snacks were great.
- Alexander (10/5): - Clean comfortable hotel with helpful staff
- Fahimeh (8/5): - Allting var bra.
- Sandrine (10/5): - Très bon accueil.
Décoration originale et cocooning.
Literie hyper confortable.
AC silencieux.
Buffet PDJ copieux et varié. Je vais mettre autre chose ça va
- Nadeem (10/5): - Everything is good
Merci
- Anne Hytting (10/5): Dejligt hotel - Dejligt hotel -god beliggenhed og virkelig god service. Klart anbefales
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely hotel. - Lovely hotel in a great location. Metro station at the end of the road. We only booked the standard room and it was small as was the bathroom. Two adults with two suitcases.. there wasn’t a lot of floor space, but we were expecting this so can’t complain. Very clean and friendly staff. Didn’t eat breakfast as we chose to eat out. My only complaint was the rooms were not soundproof so could hear everything, above and either side. If the room next door closed their door, you’d feel your door shudder but for a small hotel in an old building, its to be expected. Beautifully decorated. Luggage room as well so we didn’t have to hold our suitcases all day. We paid around 10-13 euros in the evening to get to Eiffel Tower using Uber.. Taxi’s were 30€!! Overall a nice stay.
- Chung Man (8/5): - I appreciated the decorations prepared by the hotel for our anniversary. However, they forgot to clean our room on the second day of our stay. Also, they only provided free bottle water on the first day, which was quite inconvenient for us.
- Julia (6/5): Nice hotel apart from minor theft - Everything about the hotel was good apart from a small gift that I had purchased in Paris going missing from my room. I noticed that a bag from a shop durance with a room spray inside was missing from my room. When I asked about it at reception they quickly noted that the cleaner likely thought it was rubbish and threw it out. I didn’t believe this as there was some actual rubbish in the room that wasn’t touched. Furthermore I saw from reviews that people have had similar experiences where something has gone missing from the room and the receptionist was quick to point out that the cleaner must have mistaken it for rubbish and thrown it out. This is disappointing and on this basis I wouldn’t recommend the hotel.
- John (4/5): Average hotel for price - Hotel is in a pretty decent location. Breakfast is definitely not worth the €15 per person as there is very little in the way of options for vegetarians. I would recommend going to a local patisserie for value and for choice! Rooms were okay paint chipped in many aspects of room, quite a lot of dust don't know how through they are cleaned. Definitely not worth €260 a night if I'm being honest. We travelled for our honeymoon and were quite disappointed with the hotel. Definitely not a 4* as lacking the personal/luxury touches we are used to for the price/star rating. Staff were brilliant but hotel itself is lacking on several aspects.
- Marc (8/5): - chambre petite. Aire de déjeuner très agréable. Métro de proximité
- Maxwell (6/5): - Nice staff, clean hotel, but rooms insanely small
- Emily (10/5): Can’t recommend enough! - Wish we could’ve stayed more than one night because it really was one of the nicest hotel stays we’ve had! Super easy to find and great location, great lobby area with lots of seating and places to sit and relax. The room itself was really modern and quirky with the comfiest bed and the nicest shower. However the best part of our stay was probably the staff at the Bob. Every member of the team we encountered were super welcoming and really genuinely lovely, especially the lady who checked us in! Honestly can’t recommend this hotel enough & will definitely return on our next trip to Paris! :)
- Stuart (10/5): Clean, modern and well positioned - Reception were really pleasant, everything was clean and modern. I wish we had time to stay longer to get a better impression.
- Swee Guan (4/5): - The bathroom smelt really bad during our stay, it was right next to the bed, we stayed for six nights, quite terrible experience
- CNR (4/5): - Very lackluster. There were holes in the wall. The desk was falling off the wall. Just felt dirty. Overall bad experience. Not a 4 star hotel by any standard
- ASHNA (10/5): - Really cute room! Super clean, fairly spacious (for Paris) and toiletries were of good quality. A bit far from the key attractions, but I would definitely stay here again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): 100% Recommend - Super clean, cute and modern. Staff fluent in English, easy access to subway, supermarket, lots of bakeries.
At night, the main road Raymond Losserand has a few drunks, but like anywhere else Paris suffers it’s fair share of homelessness and I saw a couple in the area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and modern hotel very quiet area. Around plenty of cafes and the underground
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff were very helpful and welcoming. A lovely new, modern and clean hotel
- David (6/5): new definition to small hotel - small hotel near metro and amenities. staff is friendly and helpful. hotel was hazardous particularly thè easy chairs at reception. my wife tripped once and the second time fell. the lift was very small which was apparently come in Paris.
the room was small and not functional as there only 1 bag stand and no furniture for clothes except some defunct hooks and clothes hangers. broken kettle, blocked shower drains, ill fitted bedding, etc.
- ChiaYing (10/5): Excellent - Rally nice experience
Will come back next time
- Verified traveler (6/5): - My main criticism is the room we booked was described as a standard room on Expedia. However it was the smallest and lowest grade room in the hotel and not what we considered as of a standard quality or facilities.
- Megan (8/5): Nice rooms super close to underground trains - Very nice and updated rooms (a tad smaller than they look online). The underground station was right outside the doors so super convenient. Plenty of local shopping and the locals in the cafes were great. Would try and stay a bit closer to the 1st Arr. next time but we really enjoyed our stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - All aspects of my stay here were great! Room was very clean, modern and spacious (I traveled solo). Front desk staff weee all friendly and very helpful. Nice area. But far from everything but that’s what I needed. There’s shops and restaurants very nearby. The metro stay is very close. I will stay here again when I return to Paris!
- Cerys (8/5): - Great location and rooms are exactly like the pictures.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The rooms were very clean, but space was tight. The bed almost takes the room space once you bring your luggage inside. Closet space was non-existent. The staff were quite friendly and helpful. Overall, not a bad place to stay, but may be better for couples looking for a weekend getaway.
- Nat (10/5): - Great location, great, stuff - simply awesome hotel! The rooms were really nice and clean and it felt like a treat to stay there.
- Kirsty (8/5): Lovely hotel - Lovely hotel, room was a little small but overall very clean and very close to the metro; which made it very easy to get around.
- Sarah (10/5): - Hotel Bob was beautiful! The modern design and prime location made the perfect place to stay on our last night in Paris. Don’t miss the twinkling lights in the shower! Such a fun detail! Loved this hotel and would HIGHLY recommend!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - extra small room, with little amenities, not worth the money
- Chi-Wei (10/5): What a good hotel - A bigger and better than average hotel and the location is also excellent.
- Verified traveler (8/5): tiny but nice - Was unlucky with power outages and malfunctioning elevator. Room tiny with No closet and the toilet is in a separate room from the bath. Otherwise, neighborhood is ethnically diverse, metro is on the same block, and the hotel staff are professional and friendly.
- Verified traveler (6/5): No closets?! - Decent location (although a bit far from main tourist spots), GREAT service/staff and well furnished. But no closets? Unacceptable.
- Michael (10/5): - great location and all staff were very friendly and helpful, highly recommend this hotel for stays in Paris
- Shivam (10/5): Pleasantly surprised - Stayed here for a night.
The hotel offers good service, modern facilities, surprisingly bigger rooms in Paris (yes, it does), and great location about 100m from metro station. What else is needed :-)
- Verified traveler (10/5): - No complaints, great small hotel!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely hotel with cool design features - Great hotel, a little further from the centre of Paris than maybe we expected, although we knew it wasn’t right in the middle. No issues with the room, check in or staff, all very clean, friendly and helpful. Loved the modern feel and all the design features that make this hotel stand out from some many generic hotels. The one disappointment was when we went to use the hamann steam room it was turned on, even though we went during the hours advised in the booklet in the room. It wasn’t clear if we were supposed to ‘book’ in advance.
- andrea (8/5): Paris family break - Booked what we thought were 2 inter connecting rooms as we have young kids, but when we got to hotel they didnt have any. So split up.
But staff were lovely, kept medicine for my son their fridge for us. Also good location close to metro.
Room decore gorgeous.
- Bryan (10/5): - Very pleasant staff, who were very happy to speak English. USB ports in the room.
- Harvey (8/5): - Bob offers great value and is very close to the
Metro
Also a terrific breakfast in a modern cool space
- Al (10/5): Best stay in paris i've had so far - Really comfortable room and nice staff, there were no hidden costs or issues with the room. everything was clean and easy. they had a great smart phone in the room that you could take around the city to find places to eat, drink etc we found a great place for brunch through the phone.
would definitely recommend and would stay again. i would say though i got the booking on a discount so not sure how much a room normally goes for but £100 a night is about right I would say.
- David (10/5): Bobs hotel very nice - Bob hotel was nice ,very clean and very professional staff! The only problem we had was their breakfast was a bit pricey for what you got. 30 pds
- Adijat (8/5): Pleasant Stay! - Near the metro stop - Pernety, and located the hotel easily. Quick check in and was informed that tea/coffee making facilities were readily available 24/7 at reception. Comfortable bed with soft pillows, good shower head in the shower however no fridge. Mobile phone placed in the room for use - but had no use for it. The range of items for Breakfast was limiting and could be improved upon. Overall a decent hotel and would consider staying there again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): RUDE STAFF MEMBER, NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL - I'm giving this hotel 2.5 star because their night worker has a really bad attitude. This guy was completely RUDE and ARROGANT. my husband and I had a few glasses of wine and I woke up from dehydration at 3am. I didnt have any water so i went downstairs and asked this guy. mind you, this hotel does not give you water. Also they did not give me a kettle but stocked my room with tea and coffee..? so I came down and asked the guy for some water because all the stores are closed. he tells me I have to pay 3 euros. fine..i go upstairs and get money. I give the guy 3 euros and he doesn't give me back my change. I'm already getting ripped off by paying the FOUR STAR HOTEL 3 euros for a regular size bottle of water..i want my change thank you. so I ask the guy if I can have my change..and he makes this face like hes soo irrated with me. and I tell him how I also have no kettle to make hot water or tea. and he says 'ok I will tell the lady to put it in when she cleans your room". So I ask him..ok, but when will you tell her? and he looks me dead in the eye and says 'WHEN SHE CLEANS YOUR ROOM SHE WILL PUT IT THERE". so at this point I'm disgusted and appalled and taken back because I cannot believe I'm being yelled at. so I ask the guy, I don't understand why your upset with me? and he says "BC U ASK ME SAME QUESTION, already tell you answer. so I yell back at him.."HOW WILL THE MAID KNOW YOU DIDNT EVEN ASK WHAT ROOM NUMBER I LIVE IN?" WOW. I cannot believe this is a 4 star hotel.
- Michael (10/5): - The Bob was great. Good location, close to the metro. Great restaurant, Alexandra, just down the street. Only issue was our key lock malfunctioned a couple times, but it was remedied.
- Tarnpreet (8/5): - Very clean hotel. It is a bit further out but if you're okay with taking a taxi, uber, or metro then this hotel should be just fine. Rooms are a bit small but most hotel rooms in Europe seem to be. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We got to the hotel a bit earlier then expected. They made sure we got a room as soon as possible. We enjoyed our stay!
- Martina (10/5): Birthday weekend break - Only good things can be said about this newly refurbished hotel!
Me and my boyfriend visited from 16th-19th Sept. 2017 for my birthday and the hotel did everything to make our experience lovely.
The location is perfect as it is not a very busy area (good nights sleep) but still very close to central Paris (metro station is at the end of the road).
The room we were given was on the 6th floor with beautiful views out of our Juliet balcony.
The room was big enough and very clean! The interior was stylish and very quirky!
All the staff that worked at the hotel were super helpful and very welcoming, making sure we knew all the non-touristy things that were worth doing.
The only thing that could make the rooms 10/10 is not for two single beds to be used as a double. This is very picky, just shows that the hotel apart from that was perfect for us.
If you are looking for a great weekend away break this is the place to go to!
We would definitely be back soon!
- Fee (8/5): - Room small but hotel great. Just needs a kettle in the room
- Verified traveler (8/5): Overall, a nice weekend - Good Points: Staff were very attentive. Supplied us with ice when my boyfriend hurt himself and whenever we had a question we always got an informative response. Bathroom was really cool, LED lights in the tiles was a nice touch. Also the phone they allow you to use in the room is good for people who don't want the hefty roaming mobile charges
Bad Points: Power Cut and the thermostat didn't work (even though the staff tried their very best). Rooms are a tad small but for a couple staying for the weekend, its more than enough.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Super stylish hidden gem. - Stays there with my wife for our first year anniversary. Although hotel seemed more business orientated, it was perfect for the two of us. Small but adequate room, The style and design throughout the hotel was fantastic, being a creative myself I was very inspired by the colours, furniture and little details everywhere. Especially loved the 'star lights' in the shower. Breakfasts were good, with plenty of choice and regularly topped up warm food (eggs, andsausages or bacon). Decent location too, 2min walk to closest metro station, pernety but also a nice short walk to mouton duvernet (less than 10mins) which would be on a direct line to cite (Norte dame) and gare du nord. I'm sure there are better hotels in Paris , but if you want somewhere with style that's a little different, a little out the centre, then you won't beat this place. Especially not for the price(£250 for 3 nights inc breakfast in Aug). If anything I was surprised it seems quite quiet during our stay.
**nearly forgot about the fact they let you take a mobile phone out into the city, loaded with tips for food, bars, things to do in Paris etc. Ike having a city guide in your pocket!
- David A (10/5): - Really lovely little hotel. The neighborhood is close enough to everything yet off the beaten path enough that you are nestled in the heart of a real Parisian neighborhood.
- sofia (6/5): Ok hotel but not ideal lovation - Disappointed with location. Asked for ice and was told they didn't have any(??). No real vibe in hotel
- Angela (10/5): Clean and comfy but customer service variable - Great service when first night, very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Second night, the guy (different from previous night) acted like my presence was a nuisance. Hit or miss customer service.
- Jessie (4/5): Not for families - We booked a room with 2 double beds and were presented with 2 rooms on the same floor with double beds. We have 2 young kids and obviously couldn't leave them alone in a room. The rooms would be great for a business traveller or couple. They are well designed and cute, but NOT for families. After they said here were no other types of rooms in the hotel we knew we needed to change hotels. The manager in the morning was rude, unhelpful and unapologetic. He even grabbed a key from our son's hand. In the end, Expedia was very helpful, but know what you're booking if you stay at Bob.
- elewechi (10/5): Amazing! Didn't want to leave!!! - Seconds away from a metro station. Very quiet neighborhood. Closer to Orly airport than CDG. Beautiful rooms and hotel. Hammam (Turkish bath) in the hotel. Just so amazing overall, would definitely recommend and go back.
- tracy (10/5): - This hotel is new- exceptionally clean and the room was wonderful. The staff was exceptional- very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the Montparnesse train station tucked into a quiet street, just a minute walk to the subway station that will take you to the Invalides station where Napoleon's tomb is, in a short time. Great stay!
- Pier-Luc (10/5): Great hotel in a quiet neighbourhood - 14th - Hotel location is only a stone throw away from the Pernety metro station which brings you to almost all attractions and tourist hotspots quickly. A short walk away in the Tour de Montparnasse and its beautiful 56th-floor observation deck with oversees the entire city (buy the ticket with 2 entrances to enjoy both at night and during the day).
The Bob is also nicely located close to supermarkets and amazing bakeries all in short walking distance. If you can, reserve a "bob" room for more spacious accommodations!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely hotel, great value for money, comfy beds - This hotel is really nice and brand new. Located 2 min walking distance from the metro and 15 min walking from the animated Montparnasse area. Major sightseeing spots are easily and quickly reachable by the tube.
Due to an early plane, I arrived to the hotel at 9am just willing to leave my luggage and the person at the reception was so lovely and found a room being already available at that hour, so I could have an early check in and some rest after my trip.
The bed was extremely comfortable (!!! and brand new.
Overall, the hotel is very cosy and the decoration is arty but not too much.
Absolutely enjoyed my stay at the Bob by Elegancia. Great value for money! Hopefully it remains this way. Staying there again next time I'm in Paris!
- Deborah (10/5): My favorite hotel. - Can't wait to stay again. Wish I would've known about this gem. Great staff, fun young decor, edgy, love it.
- Raphael (10/5): An excellent boutique hotel in Montparnasse, Paris - This is a delightful boutique hotel located in the superb 14th District of Montparnasse. It is also very well-placed for the Pernety Metro (Underground/Subway) station as well as numerous bus stops.
The hotel's rooms are on the smaller side but they have been tastefully furnished and everything works well. The bathroom has good fittings the bed is very comfortable. Also useful to know for fellow-travellers is that the air conditioning works well and is quiet.
The staff are friendly and helpful and will do whatever they can to make your comfortable.
Also, within short-walking distance are many many hotels, bars and cafes - all types and all price levels. Also conveniently-placed are numerous bakers, green grocers / fruit shops.
- Steven (8/5): Highly recommend staying here, wonderful property - I am in Paris unusually once a month. I've stayed at various properties and this time was one of the best. Walking up to the door, the person at the desk got up and opened the door for me. I was a little early but my suitcase was taken up yo my room, i was given a little tour of the property. The room was a comfortable size and very clean/fresh. They offer two different levels of breakfast in two areas; a nice continental and then a pretty full buffet. Asked someons at the front desk to locate a pretty specific restaurant request, I had. He hit it spot on.
Only negative for me was, there was not one English Channel on tv.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location, access to the metro is there and lots of cafes/restaurants/bars. The room size is a bit small though.
