• Kelli (8/5): - Very very clean but the bed was the worst: hard as a rock. Accommodating staff as we were a late check-in. All in all I’d stay again if they changed their mattresses. Otherwise a good stay.
• Tim (6/5): So so - The condo was ok. Bed hard as a rock. Was told no coffee maker on site. In fact there was one. We brought ours didnt need too , no refrigerator on site. All in all our stay was O.K.!
• Karen (8/5): Late August stay - Overall we had a positive stay. Note that you need to go to the clubhouse to check in; there is no office attached to the inn nor instructions where to check in. Our room was nice, and there was a nice deck off the back where you could watch people play the 18th hole. We did not find the climate control, so couldn't adjust the temperature in the room, but we weren't uncomfortable. I would stay there again.
• David (10/5): Great room! So much room with great views! - We were a little hesitant about staying here due to some of the reviews. I am so glad we did! The kids said it was the best place we have ever stayed! We had room 101, we had the whole thing to ourselves. 2 bedrooms each with 2 queen beds, a super huge living room with a full kitchen. We had 3 bathrooms! Each room and the living room opened up to a huge outside balcony that overlooked I think the 18th hole.... We watched the golfers come in and cheered them on. The kids collected over 150 golf balls and loved it. We had full bars phone service and wifi was great the entire time. We didnt play golf here, but would for sure! It is an easy 14 min drive to downtown Charlevoix. Definately staying here next time.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Golf Weekend - The room was very nice. The course is outside of town so a short drive to get to more restaurants. Would stay there again.

We chcked in only to find tha the room had absolutely NO dressers and nowhere to put our clothes other than a closet shelf, a single very small one drawer end table along one bed, and a small one drawer table the TV sat on! No end table to put a thing on. On the other side of the bed. On top of that the thermostat was in somebody else's unit! The photos of the resort never showed any of this, just rooms with drawers and rooms with refrigerators, so we felt like it was bate and switch. EVERY hotel now at least has a fridge and dressers. . We'll never go there again.

• Marissa V. (8/5): Quiet area - Quiet area sitting on the Dunmaglas golf course. If you plan on making any phone calls I would drive a few miles dowtown. No service, the wifi is mediocre but it did the job. Rooms were clean for the most part, the bed sheets did have some questionable stains and lots of loose hair. Just a place to crash for the night or for a weekend golf tournament. Very reasonable price. I would stay again if they cleaned the bed a little more thoroughly. I did enjoy my stay though.
• Larry/Debi (2/5): - We were going to Charlevoix for a destination wedding and husband wanted to golf at Dunmaglas. So he decided we should stay there. He has golfed there before. I guess this would be an “okay” place for guys golfing - but not for weekend with your wife! You should have read the reviews!!! The room smelled so bad - like the deodorizers they use in used cars to mask smoke or other odors - only 10x worst. 1st day husband golfed 9 holes - I thought I could go to the club house for lunch & just relax & enjoy reading. No dining room! Sat in that stinking, chemical smelling room! After we went to the out of town dinner & came back to the very scary dark,with no one on site - the room was like as cold as a freezer with no thermostat in the room to adjust. Really!!! I slept on top of a beach blanket I had in the car & covered up with extra cloths. Then on Saturday when we needed the a/c on ( it was hot outside) a/c not on or running & no way to adjust. Too hot to be getting ready for a wedding’ Also the bed ( that husband ) slept in, not made. Great place for golfers (male) or hunters - Very expense for the (non) amenities provided The only nice thing about this place - is the guy at the check in desk, very pleasant when we checked in & listened to me when we checked out - too bad he or someone wasn’t available when all these issues were noticed.

Not sure would be ok if we didn’t know each other in adjoining bedroom.We booked on different search engines on different days. Property was very dark at night no lighting to entrance. Clean and comfortable for wedding attendance.
• Brian (10/5): Comfortable room in a peaceful setting - The room is one of several condos in two buildings on the golf course, in a very pretty setting. I couldn't figure out the cable TV or the shower(!) but Dick came by in the morning and sorted it all out; Jay at the pro shop/front desk was very helpful. Suburbanites be aware, this place is in the Michigan woods, with very few streetlights to help navigate (hello Google Maps!). Very quiet and peaceful at night.

• Alf (8/5): - The one bedroom room was very spacious and included a mini fridge, microwave, small sink, and coffemaker. The king sized bed had 2 pillows, I rated lower because of this. Two hangers left by a previous guest. Beautiful deck and view of one of the course holes. No room service as respects tidying up each day. Not a big deal if you aren't expecting it as they will replenish anything used.
• Deidre M (2/5): Disappointed. - Well the place wasn’t what my friends and I expected, they offer free WiFi, but only worked for half the building, cause they don’t have big enough routers to carry over to the other side of the rooms, room had a mildew smell, found long strands of hair everywhere in the bathroom including the towels, (my friend and I have short hair so there was no way it was ours.) We tried using the microwave on our last night there, and it kept shortening out after two seconds, there was no phone in the room to call the main office, had to use cell phone. And they had a place for a refrigerator but there wasn’t one there,

• Lacy (10/5): Loved this place! - This place was wonderful! The condo was very nice, clean and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and let us check in and leave our bags in the room early as we were going to be in the area but out on the water for the day. We definitely plan on going back!! Also, the balcony’s were awesome to sip some morning coffee on and look out at the course.
• Jennifer (8/5): Beautiful place and family friendly! - Absolutly love visiting Charlevoix and this location was a fun place to do it from. My family felt right at home. We have 3 small children and choosing the option to have the full kitchen and living room space was perfect! They are updating the TV's and wifi, but other than that we had everything we needed.

• lisa (10/5): Beautiful golf course, huge rooms - My husband & I really liked this place. The owner himself checked us in, very friendly. The rooms are definitely dated, but they are large and have everything you need. Ours had a deck over looking the golf course which we enjoyed. A quick drive to downtown Charlevoix too. My husband loved golfing the course- full view of the lake & city on the 14th hole!
• Barbara (6/5): - There was some updates that could of been done before opening wasn't happy about no coffee pot or refrigerator in the room had a musky smell when you walked into the Hall way and no heat couldn't control the tempature in the room,the view was beautiful from are room of the golf course
• mary (2/5): Bare bones room - We reserved a single room for one night. We were extremely disappointed in our accomodations. Our room had no refrigerator, coffee pot, ironing board, hair dryer, as one would expect in a standard hotel room. The mirror had been detached from a dresser and was leaning up against the wall. The door to the room had glass, which was poor as far as security. There was also no way to regulate the heat. Our cable was also not working . We attempted to call the front desk after hours , and only got a voicemail. Upon check out, we spoke with the person at the front desk , who said he was only filling in for somebody. We would definitely NOT recommend this facility to anyone.
• Clyde (6/5): Clean and bare bones room for the night - The room was reasonably priced for the area but was definitely "bare bones". There was no way for us to control the temperature of the room because the thermostat was apparently in another room. It appeared that it had, at one time, been a condo and the rooms have been divided up and rented individually. We were able to open windows, but still got warm during the night. There was a very old TV, no clock, no hair dryer. It was very clean, but smelled extremely musty. .

• Larry (2/5): Absolutely NO amenities and over priced> - The room was nice but had nothing in it that I would expect for almost $150 per nite. No fridge...No microwave....No coffee maker.. No clock...Old tube style TV with crappy picture....... NO in room heat/ac controls. Was told at check-in there would at least be a cup of coffee at the front desk the next morning. Checked out at 930 and no one had started the coffee so couldn't even get a cup of java for the road. Very disappointing experience. Would NEVER stay here again !!!

You couldn't call it a hotel, there are about 12 rooms on their own at the end of golf course. On the up side they lent us golf carts to explore the views!
• Katrina (6/5): Great View but Otherwise Disappointing - The most important thing you need to know (that you won't find on their website) is that there is no customer service available after 7:30 p.m. when the golf course closes. It was also very inconvenient that there was no way to adjust the temperature from inside the room - we had to call the front desk to turn on the heat when we first arrived, as well as the following night when we returned to our room. This is a problem if you return to your room after hours! Don't expect a coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave or a blow dryer. Also note that the single units are not condominiums like the other rooms - the full kitchen, living room, extra bathrooms and laundry are not included. The staff were friendly but were new and had to keep calling the manager when we asked questions. They didn't know if there was WiFi available - the manager said they were working on adding it to the rooms. Also the first night our TV didn't work, but it was after hours so there was nothing we could do (they did replace it the next day for us).

• Verified traveler (6/5): Room was very basic. No fridge, coffee pot etc. - The room was ok. I requested a top floor, 2 queen room, and was told we would have a door between us and the neighbor. We didn't think it would be a problem until 4:45 AM when the neighbors got up and made a TON of noise. Microwave slamming, and beeping, LOUD talking between the people in it, slamming things and running around. My husband yelled at them to "shut up" but it didn't work. Very rude, insensitive people to us, as we were trying to sleep!! It was 4:45 AM people !! They had no regard to us trying to sleep...
• Andrea (4/5): It's complicated - My parents stayed in this hotel. The morning of their check in, I fielded a lovely call from the pro shop. The man asked when they were going to check in, and he described where to check in. Seemed great. When they went to their room, no one had cleaned it. Wet towels, bed in disarray, etc. My father couldn't get a hold of anyone since the pro shop was closed. My parents waited for two hours for someone to respond and come to clean the room. It turns out that the cleaning lady thought she didn't need to clean the room, and it was a communication error between her and her manager. It was an understandable mistake, which was handled well, eventually, and was made good by the hotel comp-ing my parents their room. I feel somewhat bad leaving a less than average review, since it was human error, but it still happened. The fact that it took two hours for someone to come to the room is disappointing. While I can't say I'd recommend this to a friend or stay there in the future, my parents had a decent sleep when it was all finished.
• Rick (10/5): Great, quiet hotel - Located about 5 miles outside of Chatlevoix the hotel is far enough away to be quiet, but close enough to find a great place for a meal. You'll find the hotel very clean and the staff very friendly and accommodating.
