- Ballard (5/5): Cool location. Good Potential. Not restful - So loud. - Location is great. “Free parking” . Friendly staff So LOUD. There is no insulation. Constant Slamming doors. Can hear footsteps everywhere. Couldn’t sleep at all. And was so excited to have a relaxing getaway. They provide ear plugs due to this. Hopefully the motel fixes this noise issue vs ignoring it. Also - seemed like mold on ceilings in room. Smelled like water damage. And fireplace didn’t work ): Can be really really cool if smell is fixed and Noise is fixed.

- Brandy (8/5): Great place - We love the pool and sauna and being so close to the main drag of Seaside it was amazing love being able to have drinks and walk right off the property and be able to get to different restaurants and bars and the beach Well we didn't like that we were on the bottom floor because you can hear everyone above you so loud and when we stayed the people above us we're like up all night long banging and running around I don't know what they were doing it was just very noisy

- Matt (9/5): Beautiful Weekend at the Beach! - We truly love this property. The location is great. It is quaint. We love the gas fire pit outside. The pool is great for the kids being that it’s heated year round for them to enjoy. Just a few minor complaints. We stay here every year and have always had a good time hanging in the lobby bar and have made friends with the staff. This year’s staff seemed a little annoyed that we were in there and it felt uncomfortable so we didn’t spend much time in there. Also we stay in room 19 which is a suite and the fire alarm goes off when showering from the steam, even with the fan on. The fridge was also a little loud in that room.

- Sheridan (7/5): Almost there - I liked its proximity to the beach. The bed was very comfortable!! It was the highlight of the show. The room was clean. Having a bar available for beverage purchase. Hot pastry in the morning. Mini fridge. Games to check out from the lobby. Everything was *almost* there & fine for our stay, but just felt like the pictures & experience didn’t quite match. The fireplaces don’t actually work but there’s flame in a can for an almost fire. The curtains to let light in you can see right through. We road bikes, which would have been really sweet but the seats of both bikes were a struggle (one didn’t go up & the other was tilted). The water in the shower wasn’t hot enough for me. We asked for a diary free yogurt and it was lactose free (almost dairy free). The beverages we had were past expiration date. The key on my phone didn’t work.

- Amanda (8/5): - Location was wonderful Staffing was short so things closed early (kitchen, pool, ect). Also had to ask for basic upkeep in our room (fresh towels, taking out the trash, stock toilet paper). No one came to tidy our room at all during our week stay.

The bed was very comfortable. The pool was clean and warm which was nice for an October evening. I absolutely loved it here and will definitely come back in the future!

- Loren (10/5): - Just a quick getaway with my 5 year old son and our dog to Seaside for a night. I love this place. Great location, always clean, always friendly, easy check in and check out and great amenities at a great price! My son and I loved the heated salt water pool. Last summer the whole family stayed at the Long Beach, Washington location and it was just as fantastic. We will be staying at Ashore again the next team we head to the coast.

Showerhead comes from ceiling, so unless you're 7'6", you get a good shower. The only down side, wifi would not connect in room. Very convenient to beach and main street/shops. We would book here again.

I really dug the decor too! We were a 2 minute walk from the ocean as well as many restaurants and shopping. This was one of my favorite hotels on the whole Oregon coast which we visit often. Great price too!

- danigB5735ZR (6/5): Friendly staff, dark room - The service was awesome. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable mattress. As there is only one window that faces the parking lot, it was a dark room. They had a great photographer for their website as the rooms look light and bright. They were not. If I was coming with kid and dogs, I wouldn't have minded as much. My stay was for anniversary and romantic is not the adjective I'd use. However, the sauna and saline pool were a nice addition. I would stay here again.
- Kerri (9/5): Perfectly quaint little stay in Seaside - We loved our stay at Ashore in Seaside. The staff were super friendly, the decor and amenities in the room were high quality and everything was very clean. The location is perfect for walking to the beach or shops and it’s a very short drive to great sightseeing like Cannon Beach, Ecola Park, and the Peter Iredale shipwreck. This was one of the more affordable properties available for the dates we travelled (Sep 2025) so we felt the value was pretty good for what we got. We read very mixed reviews about the continental breakfast, but we loved it! It was perfect for us, warm, fresh croissants, vanilla Greek yogurt with granola, fresh fruit, tea and coffee. If you’re expecting a a heavy waffle buffet with dozens of pre-fab pastries, frozen sugary juices, and bad coffee, you should opt for the holiday inn or something instead. We were on the ground level and the floors are concrete so the upstairs neighbors could be heard at times, but it wasn’t disruptive enough to complain. The bathroom fan and AC unit were a smidge on the loud side, but we recommend keeping them on as it got humid/damp without them running. Oh, and my partner was a little underwhelmed by the shower, we’re short people and it was even too short for us, lol! Again, not a dealbreaker, but if you’re tall it might be an issue for you.

- Christian (8/5): Remodeled motel but still great - We had an overall good stay. We didn’t look at pictures of the entire hotel but the ones they had on hotels.com. You can tell that it is a remodel of an old motel, which initially was alarming since we were bringing our 1 year old. We walked in and realized it was remodeled and modernized. Our room was very clean, though the Edison bulbs did not give good lighting for our room. Overall, the service was great, amenities were good and were one hotel off the beach and one street away from the main part of the downtown area so location was great. Seaside was a nice town though it did feel a little run down, like it was really nice about 10 years ago. We still had a good time but Canon beach is substantially nicer. Overall, we had a good stay but it’s not your typical 5 star look and feel so I gave it a solid 4.

- Holly (10/5): - The room was great! Reminded me of a loft in Soho in Manhattan, NYC. The decor works well. Complimentary breakfast delivered to your door and Monk's coffee were a plus too! Staff was helpful and friendly. Beer on tap and mixed drinks too! Pool and sauna were clean, and both were a nice temperature.

- Sarah (8/5): Really great weekend getaway to the beach with the whole family including your dog! - The location was amazing, we would walk anywhere with our doggy with us. We loved the stuff they had for pets, my husband loved the sauna, my daughter loved the pool. We were a block away from a dog friendly beach and lots of other activities and places to eat. I think we just had like the worst room here. It was a little old, the bathroom shower was not the nicest. There was a lot of traffic and noises outside our door and upstairs but we were right next to the pool and the bar so next time we’ll ask for a quieter room. The air conditioner was also really old and loud, but functional. No deal breakers but I was expecting it to be a little nicer for the price.

- Sherry (8/5): - We have stayed at other hotels and keep coming back to this hotel. The good: Location! One block from the beach and main street. They’ve added complimentary breakfast. Just make sure you fill out the breakfast slip DAILY to get it. LOVE the meat and cheese board offered. Most staff very friendly. The bad: Pool heater seemed broken. First day (Saturday) pool was very warm (similar to past stays-which is one of the reason we stay here). Second and third day pool was cool-too cold for my 4 and 8 year old. The other complaint is I wish they provided a stick vac or Swiffer/broom in the rooms. Being a block from the beach means sand. We love the concrete floors because you know what’s on it (vs a lot of the hotels in the area that have old, gross carpet). However the floors get sandy quick. Need a vacuum or broom in the room to fix this. The ugly: Checkout is noon (this is great). We checked out at 11:20 and mentioned we would like to leave our car for an hour in the parking lot. We’ve stayed here many times and have never had an issue with leaving it in the lot after checkout for a few hours. Two employees said we could leave it there until noon and no later. Because they needed to have room for people checking in. I’ve posted a picture of the lot at noon. This is a 22 room motel and they had at least 9 rooms open for check in on the day we check out (per Expedia). It’s Monday of Labor Day weekend. Not asking to stay very long but didn’t appreciate the lack of flexibility.

Theres a little cafe with food, beer and wine and non alcoholic drinks, there is a salt water pool & sauna. There is an outdoor fire pit area too. And They deliver breakfast to your room daily. The beds were super Comfy. It’s got an eco friendly industrial vibe. Per friendly too. We Loved the Edison bulb lighting. And the perfect location in seaside, 1 block to the promenade and shopping. On site parking. The staff were very friendly! We loved it.

- Steven (4/5): - The check in process was easy and the staff at check in were welcoming and warm. The room was decent enough. The reason for my poor rating relates to the check out process. I asked for a late check out of 1230 instead of 12pm and was denied. The room needed to be turned over for new guests, I understand that fair enough. My partner was running a relay race in Seaside so I packed up the room and was out at 1152 to meet her at the finish. I received a call from the hotel at 1206 telling me to move truck because every space was needed. I fail to understand how six minutes after check out my truck is creating a parking shortage for guests who are unable to check in for another four hours. There were more open spots than filled at that time when my truck was moved at 1209. My perception is the hospitality stops at the moment of check out.
- Patricia (6/5): - Overpriced remolded old motel in tourist town. Advertised free breakfast & coffee but coffee not ready at 815 and no cream etc. No maid service even though requested. Close to the beach & town. If you want to take kids to do bumper cars, ice creams etc this is your place, it’s convenient to all of that. Young kids are running the desk & seem over it. I think they are taking advantage and charging too much for a simple motel.

- E8546CBjuliab (2/5): Roof leaked into our room, inadequate resolution - I booked Ashore based on sustainability practices, location, and amenities. The pool was great- saltwater, warm, great for kids. It was really nice to have a sauna as well. They deliver complimentary breakfast to your room as well. Unfortunately, 2 days into our 4 day stay, the roof started leaking into our room. Totally understand things unexpectedly happen, however, the process of trying to resolve this was extremely frustrating. We got confusing, conflicting information (such as, you can stay in this room for a "discount" but no one could tell me what the discount was, then later we were told we actually had to leave the room). In the end we were given two options- 1) move from a Suite with 3 beds into a room with 1 queen bed and a sofa trundle and receive a 10% discount on their usual rate for the queen room (which was much higher than the rate posted online through their website) or 2) they would "let" us leave without using the two remaining nights on our reservation and not charge us for the remaining unused nights! (on the leaking room we were forced to leave) When I asked if we could perhaps have a larger discount given the inconvenience and disruption, or a partial refund if we end up cutting our trip short because of this, I was told I could wait two hours for the manager to arrive at 4 pm to ask and see if she would grant a more substantial discount. It's important to note that the front desk staff have been texting and calling the manager throughout this incident but would not ask about this and said there was no way to get this information sooner. We decided to leave at this point. The manager, Luz, did contact me later but refused to give any partial discount or credit for this incident, because she stated there were no issues in the room the first two nights. Unfortunately I cannot recommend Ashore given this experience.
- Parthasarathi Ghosh (7/5): Good place for a short stay - The room was good, clean and perfect for an one night stay. There are adequate parking space for all residents. Breakfast was offered, but we had to leave early before 8 am. Reception area open at 8 am, so it is better to store drinking water from the water dispenser at night before. The location is good, not even 5 minutes from the ocean. There are many restaurants around. We had a comfortable stay at the property. Water dispenser should be accessible to residents during the night- just a suggestion. We knew that it is not accessible at night, so we stored adeqiate water for the night.

What was not so great- the door to the room was not sealed to the outside, the frame was broken and did not feel the most secure. The shower was not properly cleaned there was a zin and hair in the tub when we got there.

- Ryanne (2/5): Racist- terrible and aggressive staff - This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.we were in town for a family vacation, and several other of our family members also came in town and stayed at other hotels so we could all be together. At check in, I was spoken to very rudely and didn’t feel welcomed. The service and staff were aggressive and racist. They tried to upcharge me and accuse me of having multiple pets or guests because my family who were also staying in seaside stopped by in the morning to say goodbye before they left at the end of their trip. They also tried to charge me for their cars just for parking to say hello to us. And then lied and said our family had been coming in and out all day. This was only 10am when they arrived to say goodbye. I was also told I would be charged two pet fees simply because when I requested to extend my stay an additional night, they had to schedule it in the system as a seperate reservation per their explanation. Even though we were the same family staying in the room for the same trip/ duration. I was then told I’d be charged to replace towels if our food stains couldn’t be cleaned out by staff. I was never asked nicely about any of the confusion, only charged immediately and then spoken to like a child. We are a black family and I feel this was racially motivated on how aggressive they were with their words and mistreatment . Other hotel guest were around as well and were not greeted the same way - I canceled our trip early and checked out immediately

- Verified traveler (10/5): A different but fun experience. - Unexpected rustic industrial decor, breakfast of yogurt, fruit, and croissant brought to the room, and plank flooring are some of the features that were very different from a chain hotel stay. Super clean room, comfortable bed and very nice staff. Location is great.

- Jane (10/5): - What a cool place and in a perfect beach town! The vibe here is chill and the bed was really comfy with soft sheets and plenty of pillows! We loved it and would definitely come back!

- Mark (8/5): - We did a last minute trip and booked for one night. The continental breakfast was great. Coffee shop was great with good latte. Close to beach and promenade with easy access. Bed was ok but not great. Mattress was lumpy and I shared with staff on checkout.
- Carighan (2/5): - Cement floor is terrible. My crawling baby was filthy so the floors were not cleaned properly. This broom was for 4 people but only had 1 real bed and a roll out/futon forbthe other bed. Had to go outside to the nearest micrwave to warm anything up which is horrible when traveling with a baby. The hairdryer cord had a cut and electricuted me when i tried to use it. Plus it was a low quality blow dryer. I liked breakfast delivered to my room but forbthe hindreds of dollars we paid, i expect more than a pastry and fruit. Will never stay here again. Plus the artwork is creepy, we had a picture of a random guy just staring at us. Curtains had stains, the list goes on...
- Sara (10/5): - Stayed in a king room and it was fantastic. Bed was one of the best ever in a hotel. Room was spotless and has a fridge. Front desk was helpful with everything from directions to giving us extra creamer for our coffee. Continental breakfast is delivered to your door which is a great touch!
- Laura (10/5): - great location, parking available in hotel, many dining eateries around hotel. Beach is within walking distance and there is a beautiful Catholic church across the hotel.
- Kimberly (10/5): Family friendly near the beach - Great hotel close to the beach. We only stayed 1 night, but the experience was great! Service was awesome, room was the perfect size for us, a family of 3. Pool was warm and it felt wonderful after a day of travel. The bar onsite is great, and being able to order breakfast to your room was a definite perk. The only negative thing we have regarding the room was the air conditioner....it was noisy! Other than that, the experience was great!
- N Bruce (8/5): $50 ripped off by Ashore Hotel. - They charged us a fee of $50 for if the room was left dirty. We were told the money would be returned in 3 days after we left. We made sure the room was spotless. We never got the money back, we called twice and was told it would be returned, never happened. Called again, now was told that it went to a pet deposit which we already paid when we were there. I feel we were ripped off. NEVER GOING BACK THERE. They lost a good customer over $50.

- sheryl (8/5): - I liked that this motel is a green motel. There were several unique things about the motel. One is that the ice was individually wrapped in bags and that the continental breakfast was delivered to the room. For the price point, it was noisy (we could hear the upstairs people walking around) A bit pricy overall..
- Jeff (6/5): A bit sparse - Great staff. Friendly and efficient. Everything else was pretty basic. With every light turned on that we could find, the room was very dark. And the room design kind of felt like someone put their good ideas into the rooms without actually staying the night to see how they worked out. For example, large metal trash cans with lids on them are not exactly convenient when you're trying to throw something away when your other hand is occupied. Because of demand at this popular beach in the Summer season, prices are extremely high. That is understandable. However, when prices are literally three times higher than similar hotels in the off-season, you would think a tiny bit of that profit margin would be spent on... Something... Like nicer coffee, or at least one coffee pack per registered guest... We were a party of three, and amenities like that were sparse for a party of two. I don't want to ramble on with negatives, as there were nice things about the place. But when prices rise that amazingly high during the summer months, a hotel should be really careful not to skimp on the various things that cost pennies and yet make a guest feel welcome.

- Sam (10/5): - Great property. If you need to hang anything you should bring your own hangers as there is not any provided. The lighting is also very minimal. The hotel is in a great easy walkable location. Will stay again.
