- Carol (8/5): Lovely place to stay would stay again đ - Great location, comfortable, lovely staff, yummy breakfast. We arrived on Saturday evening function and a live band so very noisy but on saying that it is a pub so should have expected that but Sunday was very quiet so if wanting comfort and quiet Sunday through to Thursday is the way to go đ€Șđ

- Warren (5/5): Food and staff was great. Room not so good - Breakfast was fine. Staff were fabulous. Rooms : no tea towel, no cloth to cleanup and no dishwasher to clean coffee cups.
Food in the restaurant was exceptional Better lighting in our room .
- Sandra (9/5): Noice - Very clean and breakfast was amazing. Na

- MARGARET (8/5): We enjoyed the ambience of the Prince of Wales with an easy walk to the coffee strip. - We checked in at the front bar of the hotel. The lady who helped could not have been better. she gave clear directions to the room location which was outside and up some stairs. Parking was onsite. A man (manager/owner?) helped us with directing us to walk on Victoria St rather than through the old railway station to get to BREC. We appreciated his solicitous advice. Thank you. There was a band playing in the lounge when we returned from the concert. We could hear them outside but when we entered our room the band sound was well and truly muffled. That was good because we needed to sleep. The Indonesian lady who prepared our breakfast was delightful. Where else can you get eggs, made into a happy face, for breakfast? Even the dog who came for a nuzzle at breakfast time was friendly. My partner was fascinated with all the framed T-shirts with the names of bands that had played at the Prince of Wales. Our room was comfortable with few frills but adequate to our needs. Security was in evidence. The standout for this hotel was the positive interactions with the staff. The coffee and the tea. I need to remember to bring my own. Yes, I am too fussy.

- Jack Lemin (8/5): Good central location very clean and tidy - Great central location. Room was very clean and tidy with a great breakfast included as well. Would stay again Room was a bit noisy due to close proximity to the Hotel beer garden, however to be expected on a Saturday night. Ideal if you seeing a show at the hotel.
- Mary (8/5): - We were arriving late as we had a cancelled flight from NZ.
They happily put key in lock with great instructions.
Breakfast was great and staff awesome.
- Lisa (5/5): - Brekky Other guests who were noisy on drugs and rude
- peter (8/5): -
- Ellen (8/5): - Staff and owner very friendly great location meals very good and historical building
- Graham (9/5): Convenient overnight stay - Convenient easy and clean. Shower pressure not great.
- Sherryn (7/5): -

- Martin (8/5): -
- Elsa (6/5): Great location for one night - Location The stairs
- Daniel (8/5): -
- Brontie (10/5): -
televisie oud
- Carol (1/5): Terrible - Nothing Everything
- Martin (1/5): Avoid if you can - The accommodation was very disappointing and did not match expectations. It felt more like a motel above an old pub, with a strong smell of the pub present throughout the property and even in the room.
Cleanliness was a major issue. The room was not properly cleaned, and it appeared that the bedsheets had not been changed after previous guests, which is unacceptable. Additionally, the toilet was dirty upon arrival!
The breakfast was greasy and made us both sick.
Overall, the level of hygiene and comfort was far below standard, and I would not recommend staying here.
- Charles (8/5): -
- Glenys Smith (7/5): -
- Belinda (9/5): -
- Kath (8/5): No frills, but we enjoyed our 4 night stay. - As described, a double bed and 2 single beds in the room without feeling cramped. Central location.
Excellent wifi.
Air con worked. Tv also. Fridge quiet. Beds comfy.
Large shower, good hot water.
Staff very friendly.
Room cleaned daily.
Car park safe.
Excellent cooked brekky. Ideal for our needs.

- Elisabeth (8/5): -
- Hulls (7/5): - Good location, free car parking, clean, spacious room, breakfast included. I didn't like the large dog in the dining room and kitchen.
- Kirsty (3/5): Avoid at all cost! Disappointed! - Not much to be honest! We were able to check in an hour early. Room 16 should NOT be used!! Located outside next to the car park, outside bar area and a door allowing all other guests entry that banged day and night! Live band played until midnight meaning we couldnât sleep until after that. Then the noise started up again from 6:30am with door banging, guests talking at the stairs right by our room.
Would not recommend on weekends at ALL! Midweek might be okay but room just okay for the price. Did not enjoy our stay and will not return.
- Mark (5/5): - Pigeons roosting outside window making noise
- Andrew (9/5): -
- Hannah (8/5): - Location was fantastic, service was amazing and friendly, brekky was a bonus, and even being above the pub on a weekend we were not disturbed in our room. The steps to rooms were a little hard to navigate being metal.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Clean friendly and value for money. Breakfast excellent - Very friendly place old pub which we liked. Right in the middle of town. Not far from beaches.
- Sam (10/5): -
- Allan (8/5): I will stay again, but will not order a meal in the restraunt. - Breakfast was excellent
The room was excellent The evening meal, was very average.
- Kevin (7/5): -
- Neil (4/5): Basic, overpriced poor value - Nice staff Terrible low-quality breakfast, very poor bed, very spartan bathroom, overall, not very good value for money.
- Fay (10/5): - Location
Friendly (we are elderly)

- Charlene Angelos (8/5): -
- Nigel (8/5): -
- Joep (9/5): -
- Laura (5/5): - Great having the room with the balcony.
Great location. Friendly staff The last 2 times we have stayed, the cleanliness of the bathrooms have gotten worse and worse. Hair, grime in the shower doors and floors, dust build up in corners, very poor effort of the recent cleaners.
- Tamara (8/5): Good brekky Pub Grub! - Location fantastic, breakfast was amazing, old school. No fancy coffee, just good pub grub! Room next to the door where everyone exited, so it would bang when closing. But no other concerns. Im just a light sleeper
- Julie (9/5): Was comfortable and great central location - Perfect location
- Trevor (9/5): -
- Janita (7/5): Basic place to stay - Location Could hear all outside/next door noise
- Renee (8/5): - it was clean and tidy and equipped for what we needed
- Janine (4/5): - The hotel was central The kitchen closed at 6pm on a Sunday night we asked for food at 6.04pm and told it was closed poor customer service
- Natalie (10/5): Perfect for one night! Thank you - Lovely staff, very helpful and accomdating. A big thank you. Food at the Bistro was delicious with generious portions Truthfully- its old but it was clean and suited our purpose
- Aden (6/5): It was good except the bathroom experience - Nice spot and good view In the bathroom there was long black hair all along the floor felt that it wasnât the cleanest
- Tenille (2/5): Rodents in roof, hotel rooms above trash. Stay somewhere else - The staff were nice. The hotel rooms are right above the trash cans which stink. There was some type of large rodents or possums in the roof which you could hear loudly crawling, scratching and fighting all evening and night. Aswell as water / or pee stains marks all over the roof. As far as value for money goes I was very very underwhelmed
- Trevor (3/5): -
- Billy (10/5): -
- Blake (9/5): -
- Bouzidis (2/5): Humiliating Experience - Room 16
Pros:
Location very good
Breakfast staff excellent
Breakfast excellent although breakfast area was unacceptable with a large dog given free reign Cons:
Steel stairway rail to first level detached at the bottom creating a hazard
Reception area at the end of the saloon bar devoid of privacy and noisy
Reception person had surly attitude
One has to carry luggage up the staircase [no lift]
Room archaic 1950's style
Room furniture appeared to be akin from street verge collection
Beware - this establishment charges 3% extra if you use a card [only way one can pay] - Booking .com cheaper
- Stephen (5/5): -
- Eoin (1/5): - Absolute Dump
- Geoff (6/5): - Meals were only average quality
- Phyliss (8/5): Nice stay, friendly staff, central location, lovely breakfast. - Perfect for our overnight stay, centrally located so easy to walk everywhere. Good selection of tea/coffee in the room. Lovely breakfast. No hand towels or tissues in the room. Really hard to put water in the jug due to tap configuration.
- Kain (9/5): -
- Stephen (9/5): Perfect place to stay - Breakfast was great
Perfect location
Staff were excellent
Restaurant was amazing Nothing
- Shenelle (8/5): - Its a cosy little hotel right in the middle of town. Close to shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly, service was great. Honestly it was fine. No real issues.
- Graham (10/5): -
- Andrea (7/5): - On first inspection the room appeared dull and unwelcoming however the beds and pillows were comfortable, shower was hot, television worked and we had a good night sleep. Breakfast in the morning was awesome. We ordered the full breakfast which included bacon, eggs, sausage, cooked tomato, toast etc. Decor was mission brown and had the potential to be noisy especially on the weekends. We had to carry our bags up stairs.
- Nicole (7/5): -
- Karen (9/5): Affordable & Friendly - Its in a great location & it was clean & comfortable The TV connection wasnt very good,it kept cutting out which was annoying
- Irene (10/5): - Handy location and easy to find Canât think of anything for here
- Peter (10/5): -
- Loc (8/5): pleasantly surprised by whole experience. loved the old world charm. From Axminster carpets to decor - old world feeling- very relaxing.
- annette (3/5): Sleepless - Location Extremely noisy? due to function room being on same floor, thin walls-able to hear everything they talked about in next room. Complete disregard to smoke alarm being activated 3times during the night
- Scott (10/5): -
- Giovanni (8/5): - Nice classic Aussie pub style. Tasty breakfast included, friendly staff. Great for a road stop
- Craig (10/5): Dry great service - Service Did
- Vanessa (7/5): -
- Erin (10/5): - Great room great aircon great breakfast Curtain fell down lol but it was fine
