Judy fed us with delicious breakfast, we had local guests come for breakfast, Bob and Roberta ( gulls). Our room/washroom were clean and comfortable, ( house coats provided nice touch ! ) Awesome views of the bay from location. Close to restaurants, shops. Definitely recommend The Bay and Breakfast!!!! Didn’t stay longer!!!

• Serge (10/5): A Dreamy Waterfront B&B - I spent two nights at The Bayside Bed & Breakfast in Bareneed – and absolutely loved it. With only four rooms, the place feels quiet and personal. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The breakfast deserves special mention: freshly and lovingly prepared by the host, and truly delicious. The location right on the water is breathtaking – you can relax for hours just admiring the view. The rooms are cozy, tastefully decorated, and everything worked perfectly. Two small downsides: While each room has its own private bathroom, it’s not ensuite – you have to step into the hallway, which is a bit inconvenient at night. Also, as is often the case in Canada, the rooms are quite noisy.

Judy, our host, made us a delicious dinner on our first night. Try her fish tacos! The breakfasts were lovely. The common area was very comfortable and was a great place to sit and chat with other guests, or just sit and enjoy a glass of wine.

Judy's a fabulous cook. If you're in Newfoundland -- I would highly recommend you make your way to Judy's for a night or two and while you're there -- must must try her food. Told us about things going on close by to go see.. I didn't like that I didn't read my email better if I did I would have known about dinners I could have ordered. That's all on me!! • Alex (10/5): Beautiful place and people. - Popped in for a relaxing night and morning. 100% what we got. The hosts Judy and Basil were extremely accommodating. Not only was there a beautiful view to take in the whole time, but the dinner and breakfast were better than most restaurants. Would absolutely recommend. For people who are complaining about the bathroom being across the hall, they provided robes for that specific reason, as well as your comfort.

• Richard (10/5): Everything about The Bayside is perfect. - One of the very best B&Bs we've ever seen. Judy is the perfect host, and the property is gorgeous. Spacious, comfortable, clean and inviting. The living area for guests is extraordinary, and our bedroom (the Blue Cove room with ensuite) had everything we wanted. Very comfortable bed, big TV with a DVD and movie library (plus hookups for HDMI etc). Lots of nice touches. Large wooden chairs on the back lawn overlook the bay, distant enough from the house that you can have a conversation without being heard, and the view from the breakfast room is gorgeous. BREAKFAST WAS AWESOME! We will highly recommend this B&B to friends and we will be coming back next summer. If you're looking for a quiet and comfortable place to stay while visiting the area, a quick drive to all kinds of great spots (like the awesome Madrock Cafe), this is it. (If you're put off by the "detached bathroom" thing, don't be. Each room gets its own private bathroom, in the same beautiful hallway as all of the room doors. Bathrooms are only a couple of steps from the rooms, each door marked with the name of the corresponding room. Now that we've actually seen how it's set up, we'd have no hesitation booking one of those rooms anytime.) Honestly, everything about The Bayside is perfect. We'll be back!

Our room was clean and bright, our nicely equipped private bath was down the hall, robes and slippers provided. There is a common room with coffee, tea and snacks. Breakfast is plentiful, tasty and appealing, served in a sunny (weather permitting) room overlooking the bay. Our impression is that the Bayside B&B is very well run and cared for. Judy, our host, was personable and helpful. The B&B is a bit off the main road, but Judy sends out excellent directions. I reccomend the Bayside to anyone who wants quiet comfort, located about an hour from St. John's.
