- Reid (10/5): Peaceful, home-from-home. Only 2 nights but wish it was longer. - Location is quiet, property is well kept, layout is nice.
- Netalis Eckerström (7/5): -

- Andrea (10/5): Clean and comfy stay at an affordable price - We had a double room with private bathroom and were very comfortable there. The bed was amazing with literally one of the most comfy mattresses we slept on and the bed linnen was clean. The bathroom was very clean too and it came with toilet paper and hand soap. WiFi worked well during our entire stay. The family running the hotel is very friendly and answered all of our questions patiently. We could also leave our bags there whilst we went for the ABC hike. We definitely recommend this hotel!

- Shyam (5/5): Fair - Location. Family who runs it. We had stayed here few times before. This time, the rooms were not so great compared to what we got in the previous stays. Also the lights switch, hot showers were not working properly.
- Morgan (7/5): Good - Super friendly staff and the room was spacious and clean The bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds we'd slept on in Nepal, and we typically stay at budget friendly places. The shower also didn't work and sound from the neighbouring properties carried to the room a lot

- Thinley (10/5): I would recommend recommend you to stay if you want to stay close to lakeside yet need silent stay🙂↔️ - It was amazing how I was able to book a nice hotel with the perfect location to the city centre which is about 5-8 minutes walk & the lakeside. The owner Son & Mom were so welcoming & nice & graceful & helped us with one day sightseeing with other tourists which was quite nice that we got to visit a lot of sites in a day & we could plan the other days without any hurry. I would highly recommend Hotel Hakoniwa as it’s located close to lakeside yet is a silent & away from any noise😇 & I would love to come back some time again😃

- Timothée (10/5): Wonderful stay ! - Very nice hotel and super friendly family ! Our first 5 days stay was so nice that we came back 4 more nights on thé way back before going to Katmandou. The room are very clean and convenient. You have power sockets close to the bed, little table and hot shower. They also propose nice meals for a really reasonable prices and breakfast is also good. The hotel is well located, close to main streets but in a calm area. The big bonus hère is the kindness of the staff. They helpt us to contact people in order to make a safari in Bardia National Park and this ended being the best experience in our lives ! We also asked for laundry and it was perfectly done. I can only recommand this place and I will stay hère again in this hotel if I come back to Pokhara one day. Thank you so much and I wish you the best. Nothing, everything was great !

Loved the breakfast (potatoes, eggs and toast) spacious room. Large bed with plenty of bedding. Balcony/seating area outside of the room. Shower was good. Seemed to be hotter later in the day. A really nice stay.

- Kristyna (10/5): 20/10!! - 20/10! We absolutely LOVED our stay in Hotel Hakoniwa! Anil and his lovely family are the best! Anil gave us so many great tips and advices about trekking.
Wr stayed here 4 days before and 5 days after our trek and it was hard to leave. The breakfast is simple but delicious - egg, bread and vegetables with coffee or tea. Its in a quiet are of Pokhara but pretty close to the lake.
I can’t recommend this hotel enough! If you can come here, it’s really lovely! absolutely nothing!
- Qi (10/5): Exceptional - Owner is friendly and polite; room is clean and well-maintained; breakfast is very nice. 🌝sometimes people are burning something nearby and it smells.
- Fiachra (2/5): Very poor -
- Hannah (6/5): Pleasant - Great location and very reasonably priced The rooms smelt of smoke and with some many accommodation options in Lakeside you can stay somewhere much cleaner and nicer for similar price.
- Margarida (9/5): Superb - The heart of this hotel is the staff! It's run by a sweet family. Anil, seating at the front desk, is really kind and always ready to help you. He can give you good tips and advice on what to visit and about the treks.
They also have laundry service, we ended up using it twice, and the clothes came out smelling so good.
Regarding the accommodation, i liked the room, the bed was comfortable and there was hot water. The place was always so clean and it is such good value for the money, especially with breakfast included. I also appreciate the room decoration showing more thought than most places in India and Nepal.
We ended up staying for 5 nights total before and after trekking, I really can't recommend Hotel Hakoniwa enough!
- Ole (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly and welcoming
- Anil (10/5): Very welcoming Hotel - I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Hakoniwa and I have to say, it was one of the best hotel experiences I've had in a long time. From start to finish, the service was impeccable, the amenities were top-notch, and the overall atmosphere was incredibly welcoming.
Best Rooms with Best Price. tge
- Munzir (9/5): Superb -
- Abhishek (10/5): Exceptional - very quite location. and beautiful view
- Abhishek (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anjali (2/5): - Booked in expedia but owner says no room at last moment. No refund too.
- Utkarsh (9/5): Superb -
- Bettina (10/5): Amazing stay, perfect location, clean hotel - nice stuff, only 5 walking minutes to lakeside/centre/market streets/Tibetan market, backpack storage for free (when I went on a trek), laundry service quick and clean, breakfast is an onion-egg omelette with 2 sclices of toast + butter and yam. I would ask every day for 2 more toast slides and they made it happily for me, thank you ☺️
room is spacious with warm water, free filtered water refill, trekking booking available at the hotel through owner(which us at the same time also a guide).
I liked it a lot so I stayed also after my trek, 3 more nights there ☺️👌🏻
- Dinesh (1/5): Bad -
- John (2/5): Awful-Nobody should stay here - location was good. close the main area of lake The pesron at reception was extremely rude and not want to help at all. The mattresses were rock hard, could not sleep well. the bathroom was moudly. The breakfast was 2 pieces of bread and 1 egg.
- Marco (8/5): Very good -
- Eva (10/5): Exceptional - Hotel Hakoniwa is a great place to stay in Pokhara.
Its location is excellent, in a quiet area, yet very close to both the lake and the central part of Lakeside. It's easy to find around everything you need for relaxation or activities, dining or preparing for a trek.
It has also a rooftop terrace with a view of Machapuchare, which already makes you dream of the mountains. :)
The room was spacious and very cozy with a beautiful design created by the family.
And the family - the heart of this place -, they are so friendly, caring and kind people.
They also kept my big backpack while I was trekking in the mountains, which was a great help.
I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Hakoniwa and can only recommend it.
- Leanne (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was good (fried tibetan bread and omelette).
Staff friendly and helpful. Room was clean. The other people staying were alot older than myself so wasn't social when I stayed. People staying were smoking downstairs which not the most appetising when having breakfast.
- Dr (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ganesh (8/5): Very good -
- Swastika (6/5): Pleasant - The staff was helpful and the stay was comfortable but the bathroom door did not lock properly. The bathroom door didn't lock properly. the room was on the Third floor. We checked out at 5am, there was no one to offer assistance to bring down the luggage. I and my old parents had to struggle to bring down the luggage.
- Dario (10/5): Exceptional - family hotel, perfect location, clean and comfortable. highly recommend
- Adam (7/5): Good - Friendly helpful host. Reasonable walk to Lakeside. Nice view of the mountains Struggled in the heat with just ceiling fans.
- Soraya (10/5): Comfy and cosy - Anil and his family recieved us with a big smile. We were supposed to stay just for one night but we extended to 4 nights. The room was great, the building is being cleaned all day. Just 5min walk to Lakeside main road. Añil helped us rent a scooter for good price.
- TAKESHI (8/5): 静かな住宅地にあるホテル - 静かな住宅地にあります。歓楽街には徒歩10分で行けます。
シャワーはぬるいお湯しか出ませんでした。
- Michael (8/5): Good for the price - This place is budget but pretty good considering the low prices. The room was mostly clean but quite worn out e.g. spots/stains on sheets, old worn bathmat, leaky sink, and bathtub needed a deep scrub. Wifi for me was very slow and unreliable. The staff are casual but friendly and helpful with bus tickets etc. I was woken up by guys arriving on motorbikes at 2am but otherwise pretty quiet. It's a 5 min walk to the main Lakeside strip. So don't expect luxury - it's a decent budget option for somewhere to sleep in Pokhara.
- Sheyda (10/5): Good price - Very nice staff, comfortable room, good view,I'll stay there again for sure.
- Verified traveler (8/5): nice hotel - stay was good, apart from the 1st night where we had some noisey guests who did quiet down once asked it was a good stay.
only down side was no hot water which was normal for nepal I guess but i was assured there was but i think this was a mistake.
Good stay :D close to shops etc.
