• Roger (5/5): A charming seaside hotel where the coffee was impeccable and the walls delightfully conversational - The hotel’s greatest luxury is undoubtedly its location. One steps out almost directly onto the beach, with the sea so close that it occasionally seems to participate in the conversation. Our room, with its small balcony overlooking the water, offered precisely the sort of view that persuades one to forgive many lesser imperfections before breakfast. The room itself was spacious, practical, and thoughtfully adapted for guests with reduced mobility, while technically everything functioned perfectly well. Breakfast was agreeable rather than memorable, though there were a few authentic Greek touches among the more conventional offerings. The true revelation, however, came from the Italian coffee machines, which ground fresh beans with admirable seriousness and produced coffee far superior to what one usually encounters in large seaside hotels. We also greatly appreciated the professionalism of the manager, who handled delays with housekeeping gracefully, apologised sincerely, and restored harmony with a thoughtful gesture to our room — proof that competence remains one of the most underrated forms of charm. The hotel suffers from a serious lack of sound insulation. Because of the marble floors and the constant scraping of furniture from the rooms above, even ordinary movements became surprisingly theatrical in volume. Unfortunately, our upstairs neighbour seemed particularly attached to rearranging furniture well after midnight, which made restful sleep rather difficult. The mattresses and pillows were also not ideally suited to us, and we woke with neck and back pain on several mornings. Housekeeping was noticeably delayed during the first days, apparently because a new cleaning team had just arrived. Finally, while the staff was generally polite, the atmosphere often felt curiously distant. One somehow expected a little more warmth, spontaneity, and attentiveness from Greek hospitality; instead, many employees carried themselves with the solemn expression of characters quietly negotiating with the gods of ancient tragedy.

• Frauke (9/5): Zeer fijne hotelervaring! - Vriendelijk personeel, super proper overal, goed ontbijt met veel keuze/variatie. Wij kozen half pension, de kwaliteit van het eten in de avond was heel goed (wel grote porties) en genoeg keuze (à la carte). De nabijheid van de zee vonden we de grootste troef: ontbijten met zicht op zee en de beschikbaarheid van ligstoelen op het strand. Verder is het is een goede locatie om het westen van Kreta te verkennen. De locatie van het hotel is op een drukke, toeristische straat. Gelukkig merk je hier niks van binnen het hotel. Bij het ontbijt miste ik vers fruitsap. Op de kamer miste ik een donsdeken, maar dit is heel persoonlijk.

Colazione abbondante e variegata, parcheggio incluso e cambio asciugamani e pulizia giornaliera. Palestra e spa anche disponibili.Veramente un bell'hotel, lo consiglio e perché no, ritornerei volentieri Abbiamo avuto un problema di corrente per due volte, ma prontamente risolto. Spa piccolina ma efficace. Piccolezze che non incidono negativamente nel complesso.

• eric (9/5): Superbe séjour d'une semaine ! - Idéalement situé au bord de la plage, Elia Agia Marina Hotel a été une superbe découverte et notre séjour s'est parfaitement déroulé : personnel au top et très prévenant, un petit-déjeuner exceptionnel avec une vue magnifique, des chambres confortables avec une super literie et le tout à proximité de nombreux restaurants et bars, on recommande vivement !

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die gesamte Anlage ist sehr sauber. Die Lage ist zudem sehr gut, direkt am schönen Sandstrand und zu Fuss sind sehr gute Restaurants erreichbar. The location is perfect, right on the beach, which made our experience even better. The rooms were always spotless, and the housekeeping team added a special touch by creating fun towel figures every day. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

The location right by the beach was also nice and it was convenient to get to restaurants etc. Even though the room was cleaned every day, the bathroom always looked a bit dirty still with mold stains in some spots etc. Also, the door handle of the bathroom door was broken.Thus, the value for price was not justified really and we would probably go somewhere else next time.

Η Αθηνά στην υποδοχή εξαιρετική καθώς και η κοπέλα στο σπα όπως και όλα τα παιδιά στο service ή οι κυρίες που επιμελούνται την καθαριότητα. Παρόλο που σε λίγες ημέρες το ξενοδοχείο κλείνει, τίποτε δεν μας έκανε να το νιώσουμε. Όλα τα τμήματα λειτουργούσαν κανονικά. Το προτείνουμε ανεπιφύλακτα. Το πρωινό, αν και αρκετά καλό, θα μπορούσε να έχει περισσότερο τοπικό χαρακτήρα. Είναι τόσο πλούσια η κρητική κουζίνα και τόσο πολύτιμα τα προϊόντα της Κρήτης που καλό είναι να υπάρχουν!

The view fron the restaurant was one of the best views in Agia Marina, we saw the best suntrises there. It would have been nice to have a screen for the mosquitos for the balcony/window.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, allowed us to check out a little later for no extra fee and coordinated airport transfers. We had half board and the restaurant food was excellent. This is the perfect spot for families or couples looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday. My room was on the ground floor and directly facing the road, so couldn’t really open/ use the balcony as I would have no privacy. Breakfast lacked variety.

• Natalia (10/5): Splendido hotel ad Agia Marina - Direi tutto, nulla escluso. Posizione eccellente, hotel con spiaggia privata di sabbia, mare pulitissimo con fondale degradante in modo dolce. Hotel informale ma con pulizia, cortesia e attenzione al cliente ottimali. Torneremo. Una sola cosa nel mio gusto personale, cioè il guardaroba senza ante, quindi tutto a vista. Ma , a parte questo, camera bellissima.
• Simona Manuela (8/5): - Struttura moderna direttamente sul mare, anche se non il più bello di Creta Un po’ troppa confusione nell’area esterna comune
• Vincent (10/5): Séjour parfait - Tout était très bien. Personnel accueillant, hotel très propre, emplacement mer avec plage privée, la cuisine.
• Ana Gabriela (10/5): Fabuleux et nous allons y retourner - Très beau hôtel, très bien situé, en bord de plage, dégageant une atmosphère familiale. Le personnel de la réception était toujours disponible, souriant et au petits soins avec les clients. Le manager était très présent et abordable. Les chambres étaient propres et les serviettes disposés sur le lit avec une forme différente( paon, nénufar, signe ), chaque jour. Le petit déjeuner était très varié et très bon. Les serveurs et leurs adjoints étaient dans la communication avec les clients , souriants, dynamiques et professionnels. La réception a pu nous organiser deux excursions originales avec le chauffeur de l'établissement. Nous avons visité quelques villages, des lieux de culturels et des monastères. Un grand merci à Kostas qui nous a permis d'échanger avec la population locale et de mieux connaître cette Ile magnifique qui est la Crète . Les personnes que nous avons rencontrés nous ont montrés leurs générosité et leurs affection. Ils avaient tous, le sens de l'accueil. Nous avons passé des très belles vacances et nous allons y retourner. Nous avons tout apprecié
• Michael (9/5): Wir würden beim nächsten Kreta Urlaub wieder in diesem Hotel buchen. - Es war ein sehr ruhiges Hotel ohne Partygäste. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und hatte täglich kleine Überraschungen bereit. Der Strand war unmittelbar vor Ort und konnte die Bar des Hotels daher zwischendurch super genutzt werden. Wir mussten also kein Geld einstecken ("drinks on the room"). Das Personal war immer unheimlich bemüht und freundlich. Man konnte sogar das gute Arbeitsklima untereinander spüren. Matratzen waren etwas hart für unseren Geschmack, aber das ist Jammern auf sehr hohem Niveau.
• Daniela (9/5): Modern cozy stay near the beach - New and modern hotel, with perfect location on the beach and very close to restaurants and supermarkets. Excellent cleaning services everyday, varied breakfast with a lot of goodies (local cheeses, olives, omlettes with spinach/mushrooms/cheese, salads, yoghurt, sweets, fruits). The staff was friendly and helped us with car transfers. Gym has every tool you need for a good workout. Spa with different treatments was available, but we didn't try them. Free sunbeds and umbrella on the beach nearby. We enjoyed every day of the week spent here. Totally recommend it! A bit overpriced, but I had no regrets, considering the services and facilities.
• ShawnTe (10/5): - The family room was perfect for us. Total privacy for the adults on the lower level with the kids just upstairs. Room was beautiful. Bathrooms were modern and attractive. Beach was awesome. Oiols were great. Spa was also great. I have nothing negative or bad to say. We will definitely stay here again.

• Ashley (10/5): - The hotel was beautiful and clean. Breakfast was delicious and the patio was overlooking the sea. The beach is perfect for kids, lots of sunbeds and umbrellas available. Good restaurants and some shops just up the street. Lots of parking if you have a car. Room with the loft was great, provided kids with their own space. Only downside is a lack of storage. We only brought one small carry on each, but there wasn’t enough storage or shelf space to accommodate our things. Otherwise, excellent stay and would love to return.
