- Steve (8/5): Fall long weekend, good location. Close to sandbanks provincial park and lake on the mountain - Right on the water. The BBQ was perfect. It does need new burners and plates. The staff member we met was so very nice and helpful. She was great. The toilets were clean and the sinks and floors were in good shape. For me it’s the cobwebs inside. Take a swiffer duster around the edges and corners. I know it’s a rustic cottage feel but same with outside…spray it down or sweep away the big spider webs near doors and windows.
- John (8/5): Bring sheets, or check under bed - Simple and functional with a good view of the bay. Slightly unusual (we thought) practice of not having sheets placed on the bed (though there are linens in kitchen and bathroom). The sheets are stored in a tote under the bed, and/or guests bring their own. Don't recall seeing any notice of this. We didn't understand this and we got thru the first night without sheets! Otherwise fine.

Jennifer and Kevin gave us an upgrade and they were very personable The only observation would be that the floor in one of the bedroom's and the kitchen wasn't completely clean. The rest - the cupboards, the dinner and cookware and the bathroom were good

- JS (8/5): Parfait pour les pecheurs ou pour séjour de courte durée. - Accès à la baie et disponibilité des embarcations. Le personnel très accueillant et est disponible pour répondre aux besoins. Un incontournable pour les amateurs de pêche. L’étendue des différents bassins sur le pourtour du lac Ontario est difficile à battre. Très près du parc provincial de Sandbanks. Il n’y a pas énormément d’activités sur place en dehors de ce qui est aquatique. Certaines aires auraient besoin un peu d’amour.

- Brunna (4/5): Unsuccessful - We were greeted by a very rude and disrespectful lady. The house smelled of cigarettes and within 5 minutes my children's feet were already dirty as if we were outside. Everything was very old, especially the shower. Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience.

You had to walk through the master bedroom to get to the smaller bedroom. Our doors is also didn’t close very well. Bathroom was extremely small nowhere to get changed for a shower.

Appreciated having the BBQ and some games available. Two bedroom suite was not quite as expected. The first bedroom was, in fact, the main room - had no doors or privacy. The bathroom was off this room. Second bedroom was behind Grench doors, so limited privacy. The table was in here. The fridge in the main room. Made sharing the space a bit awkward. All in all, while we had a great time it's a bit pricy for what we got. That said, the whole area is expensive.

Just the timing of when we were there. The website could be improved and have interior pictures available. Also, the prices should be listed.

- Jessica (3/5): - The location itself was very beautiful but the pictures did not match the reality. Especially the cottages could not be compared to what we thought we booked. The cottage is in pretty bad shape and when we first stepped in there, we were greeted by a horrible smell from the plumbing. Furthermore we found left over chips and orange peel underneath the sofa and the dining table, which was disgusting. If that wasn't enough we found hair in the beds and the shower had stains, from what we could only hope was just dirt. The worst part was the kitchen and the fridge which we didn't even want to use and put our food in it. So first thing we did was clean the cottage and go buy cleaning supplies, I never thought I had to clean before even starting my holiday. I also have to disagree with having wifi, because we certainly did not. You can log into the wifi but unless your standing infront of the office you won't receive any. We were really disappointed.

Ook een leuke veranda met gedeeltelijk uitzicht op het meer. Wij dachten een vrijstaand huisje geboekt te hebben, maar het bleek een motelkamer te zijn. Met dunne wanden, dus de geluiden van de buren waren duidelijk te horen. Was meer een 2 sterren dan een 3 sterren accommodatie.

Tout d'abord, vous devez apporter avec vous vos literies et serviettes car elles sont fournis moyennant un supplément. Le parking c'est n'importe quoi, les clients se stationnent devant votre chalet, à deux pas de votre entrée. Éviter de louer le chalet #12 parce-que vous n'aurez pas d'intimité, les gens circulent de tout côté pour avoir accès au quai des bateaux qui se trouve derrière le chalet donc doivent passer obligatoirement de chaque côté du chalet et cela pendant que vous souper en famille. Aussi, dans le chalet #12, il y a un step dangereux qui peut vous donner un coup de barre dans le dos, il y avait une lumière brûlé dans une pièce, la minuterie du four se déclenchait à tout les 11/2hrs, il fallait débrancher le four la nuit pour ne pas l'entendre et se faire réveiller. Un moustiquaire tenait avec du duck tape, il y avait des stores qui ne se remontaient pas. Le futon du salon, qui faisait un troisième lits, était souillé plein de graines de nourriture. Côté toilette la calfeutrage de la douche plein de moisissures et une odeur légère mais persistante de pis qui dégageait des toilettes continuellement. Les grilles du barbecue était dégueulasse. La connexion internet est pourri pour ne pas dire inexistente. Le feu de camp communautaire se retrouve aussi adjacent au chalet, tout juste sur le côté à 12 pieds du mur du chalet, donc encore une fois aucune intimité. Ne pensez pas pêcher sur le bord du quai ou vous baigner, il y a peu de profondeur et des algues, donc il faut avoir une embarcation pour aller pêcher à cette endroit, mais il y a une piscine pour les gens de la place. Par chance, nous étions venus pour les plages de Sandbank et non pour profiter du chalet.

- evelyne (1/5): Malheureusement nous le retournerons pas là bas et ne recommandons à personne cet endroit malpropre. - L’emplacement, la possibilité de pêcher, la gentillesse des propriétaires Il y avait une infestation de perces oreilles à l’intérieur, une forte odeur d’urine ( selon la proprio une bête vit sous le chalet). Le chalet était très malpropre nous avons du passer le balais à notre arrivée puisqu’il y avait des toiles d’araignées partout et des graines. Le réseau et la télé fonctionnait de façon intermittente. Le matelas bruyant et FINI littéralement. Pas de lumière dans la cuisine, une cafetière qui était défectueuse, des ronds de poêle non fonctionnel.

It was just 2 of us, so it was a perfect size :) Had all necessary amenities. Our cabin was a little musty, I know this is bound to happen in a wood cabin, but I am highly allergic to mildew and mold, so it was a little much for me. But I sprayed some air cleaner and it helped.

- Daleras (4/5): Our experience. - The cottages looked nice but the motel part is very old. I liked the area. Close to the beach. Nice view. Family friendly. The shared kitchen that we weren't aware of prior to booking. The motel was old and could use updating and maintenance. The kids kept complaining about bugs in the bathroom. Alot of cobwebs and dust and sand in the room and around the area.

The view was lovely Your website and even the top of this page shows an individual lovely cottage. What we got was a motel room with a filthy porch to go to an outside kitchen with appliances that didn't work. The deck was in desparate need of scraping and painting, couldn't sit on the chairs without pain coming off on our clothes. The picture on the website was not what we were given. We never met the woman with whom we had to communicate with, some man came from somewhere to give us a key, and we were not told there was a wifi password.

- Peter (4/5): We had a very disappointing weekend away, and will not be returning or recommending it! - Nothing stood out after multiple issues, other than location to town and excursions. The location of the cottage was not as expected by pictures in ad. A lot of vehicles and traffic in front of the cottage. Access to water limited by boats. Broken furniture outside, Dirty exterior of cottage, repair needed. TV not working. Back of cottage garbage, empty bottles and propane tanks scattered around dumpsters(privacy fence would fix around maintenance area.) Miss-communication between Staff and Management. Booked for 2 days after a long day of excursions we returned to an unlocked, cleaned out cottage, and all our personal belongings removed and thrown out. Spent the next 2 hours resolving, The management gave us some money for dinner and replacement of alcohol and food discarded. Staff were very apologetic, but it should never have happened in the first place.

L'endroit aurait besoin de rafraîchissement, l'extérieur du chalet laissait un peu à désirer. La porte patio et fenêtres très sales. L'intérieur vieillot mais définitivement plus propre que l'extérieur. Les photos donnent l'impression d'un beau chalet mais ce beau chalet est $500/nuit...ce qui n'est écrit nulle part et vu que nous avons payé $200/nuit +$140 taxes etc..... c'est pas lui qu'on a eu. La propriétaire semblait habituée à ce genre de plainte et disait que c'était Booking qui faisait de la "fausse" publicité.

Quand il y a un bris d’équipement, il devrait y avoir plus de transparence et cela devrait être dit au client puisque le site internet n’est pas à jour.
