- Brent (9/5): Our second time staying here. Workers are all friendly. & nice walking paths to walk in mornings. close to things to - Always clean
- scot (8/5): -
- Carolyn (10/5): We will return! - Location, location, location. My husband loves to photograph sunsets. Perfect for him! Everything was good. I would suggest when housekeeping cleans in between staying multiple nights to empty trash cans and take the dirty towels that were on the floor.
A/c quit working properly our last night. Had a rather warm night sleeping but other than that it was a nice stay.
- Doreen (10/5): -
- Yayoi (10/5): One of the best hotels I've been to! Very convenient to get around the OBX. - There was a complimentary breakfast, although the booking reservation system said that there are no breakfast option in the plan. The location was perfect with easy access to the beach and anywhere around OBX. There were also free access to the closest gym with an indoor pool which we used often since some days were too rainy and/or cold to go out to the beach. My son was able to enjoy it!
- Katie (9/5): -
- Courtney (7/5): - Very friendly and love that they have bikes!! It was not very clean. You can tell they don’t spend a lot of time in the room, especially under the bed and behind the bedside tables. I had gotten room service while we were there and they did not even clean anything or replace towels.
- Nigel (7/5): -
- Chelsea (8/5): - bikes available, water front, location humidity in rooms, pillows were mediocre, bed a little lumpy
- Faye (10/5): A great dog-friendly stay in Corolla. We highly recommend The Inn at Corolla. Room 33 at The - Location, location, location. Beautiful views from room 33, access to walking trails and amazing sunsets. Bruce - one of the employees was a “google” of information and willing to share. Thin towels, shower curtain not all the way to the bottom allowing water on the floor and old/worn out luggage carts.
- Katrina (10/5): This stay completely changed my impression of OBX. My previous experiences there were less than enjoyable, but Corolla a - Nice and quiet and dog friendly. Pier was great for watching the sunset. Staff super friendly and helpful.
- Paul (5/5): Seen better days... - Pictures looked better than reality...close to Wild Horses viewing. This place is tired and needs refresh or renovation. No room to "pull-out" the hid-a-bed couch. Shower was leaky and controls were perplexing. Toilet blocked with each use and needed plunging...
- Anne (6/5): - Convenience to event i was there for Office hours too brief. A little older a facility then anticipated and portrayed.
- Dana (9/5): -
- Thomas (10/5): Hwy 12 OBX - The location and room - sound side. Great sunset! No complaints.
- Penny (9/5): Wish they were closer so I could spend another few days there! - The views were amazing. This was the best night’s sleep we had on our week long trip along the Outer Banks. Check in was easy. Breakfast was just right. Staff were very informative especially Bruce. Photos in the breakfast area are excellent There was nothing I didn’t like

- Anna (10/5): - Could not have asked for a better experience! Friendly staff that was very accommodating and views were excellent! Breakfast was hohum
- Amores Fuster (8/5): - The room was very spacious and clean. There was a kitchen with some crockery and cutlery. The breakfast was nice and varied. The hotel was well located and they offered discounts on nearby activities. I arrived late but I got sent an email with instructions so accessing the room was fine. I have no complaints!
- Tracy (10/5): I stayed 2 nights with 2 friends over a weekend in the off season. 3 thumbs up! - The accommodations were clean, quiet, and comfortable. Only a few steps away from the bay and a 10-15 minute walk to the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend and would stay here again.
- Debbie (8/5): - Room was clean and comfortable. It's a bit dated but was acceptable. Staff was very helpful. Dated
- Colette (9/5): - We had a great time and everyone was friendly and helpful.
- Kathleen (9/5): -
- Linda (9/5): Cozy local-owned placed to stay. Look forward to visiting again - Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable king bed. Great place to stay, especially if you favor a llocal-owned business. Delicious breakfast muffins, made by staff members grandmother. Convenient handicap ramp to the office and continental breakfast that are on the second floor. Exterior ramp and steps to access our room on 3rd level and.rampm to the office and breakfast are on the 2ndl floor. Be sure to requst 1st floor room iif elderly or handicaped and bring an umbrella iif expecting rain.

- Gonzalo (10/5): Great place to stay! - We absolutely loved the inn!
- Brian (10/5): -
- Christopher (10/5): Perfect mini vacation - The room and view of the sound
- Brian (10/5): Our stay lived up to our expectations. Awesome time! - Our sound-front room with balcony had an awesome view. Great sunsets every evening. There were may yummy options for breakfast and the staff was super friendly. Everything was great.
- Brian (8/5): Will return to the Inn at Corolla - The value and location of the Inn at Corolla, mire than suited our needs. The staff was exceptionally friendly.
- Joshua (10/5): -
- Wayne (7/5): Great area, working staff was great, clean and renovated rooms, pier w/all the water activities. - Breakfast area was immaculate and the gentleman that ran it and worked it was excellent. He was pleasant to talk to, kept food in tip top shape, really cared about pleasing the customers. He gets bonus points for being GREAT. The location was perfect for us. Loved the location. The room was roomy and very clean. Nathalia had to come get our TV signal back on line a few times and she was FANASTIC. One of those times she was off work but came by any way right away and handled it for us. SOOO pleased with Nathalia! There's a pier off the back that has a gazebo and porch swing - it was perfect to see the sunrise and relax. Would like to see more furniture in the gazebo so more could enjoy at one time. I would choose there again if we came back. We requested a water front room on the Sound for our 32nd anniversary. This was done 3 months prior to our trip. Booking Reached out to the hotel and we received an email saying that the hotel was contacted and could definitely accommodate that request and there even would be no additional charge for the room. WE WERE SO EXCITED! They were going to make our anniversary really special! - when we got there we were told we had an inside room, not a water front. AND they could NOT make it happen for us. They told us we could stay in a water front room for 2 nights but then would need to move to an inner room. WELL, who's going to do that - move everything to another room for the last night? Since booking had spoken to the hotel and sent us an email saying the hotel was handling it all as requested - we thought we were good as gold. So, this was a huge disappointment for our 32nd year milestone. The inside rooms have all been redone and are very nice, it would be great to see some paint and attention to the outside as well.
- Richard (10/5): We had a wonderful time , the view , the staff and room was very nice . I have already recommended to family and friends - Cleanliness of the room and the friendliness of the staff Some of stairs , handling the luggage
- Michael (10/5): -
- Lynne (9/5): A reasonably priced option for Corolla. - They were very friendly and helpful. The room we had was meant for dog owners so the flooring was appropriate non carpet and lower level. The person managing breakfast was quite helpful about the area.
- Jamie (10/5): Awesome - The staff were so nice! The views were amazing. Will definitely stay there again soon.
- Robert (9/5): -
- Timothy (9/5): - Friendly staff and clean facilities Power outages for several hours was very disappointing for me to get myself ready for wedding reception at Hampton Inn. It was no fault of the facility and they had no control over but being without electricity was unable to use blow drying or curling iron. I had to wear my hair pulled up.
- Deborah (3/5): Thought I was making reservation at the inn at Corolla the one next to light house, totally over or’ - Nothing hit, items individually wrapped with no expiration dates. Room needs complete re do
- VDuever (9/5): - Breakfast was very good, staff very attentive, helpful and friendly. Many other hotels there is no one to figure out how to find or cook food and/or get more coffee NOT the case here. Coffee was always hot and delicious!! Hot breakfast sandwiches, bagels, muffins, cereal, juices everything one could ask for.
View of water was beautiful. Room clean and updated with nice furnishings. My only complaint was bathroom sink area very tight and small no where to put toiletries except under sink.
You can easily hear your neighbors, walls are thin. But it was very quiet at night.
- Nolan (9/5): - The view was nice. Breakfast was nice as well. Staff was very nice. No real issues.
- Renee (10/5): I would definitely recommend the place and would come back to stay. - The dock and gazebo were absolutely amazing for sunsets. The outdoor pool with a view of the sound was nice. In the evening you can see the lighthouse from the dock. They offered free bikes to ride around on. For breakfast they offered coffee and tea, cereal, bagels, yogurt. The staff was great. There really wasn’t anything we didn’t like.
- Catherine (10/5): - Location Spiders on the deck
- Mandy C. (10/5): Amazing place and great value! - It was awesome being right on the sound with a pier and gazebo. We were able to watch the sunset. There was nothing we were not pleased with
- Nicole (10/5): - Location, gazebo with the swing, room was nice There were some cob webs with spiders in the room.
- Janis (8/5): - Continental breakfast was ample and clean
Staff was great
Rooms a little noisy
- Robert (10/5): - We go every year about this time and it's great. Staying here gives you permission to park across the street and have passes to the beach at the community of million $ homes. SWEET. They shared that while the summer was good the fall has been awful.
I blame the Orange Failure in our white house for scaring everyone away!
- Deborah (10/5): Went on a cold rainy week for my nieces wedding and picked a good place to stay. Close to the beach, wedding site, and s - Although the exterior needs some work, the room was very clean and welcoming. Plenty of toiletries, toilet paper and warm bedding. Comfortable chair by the TV. Excellent choices for breakfast.Ramp to the room, so easily accessible. Fridge and microwave and water bottles in the room. Plenty of hangers, ironing board, iron, hairdryer and towels. Looks worn outside, and sign was not lit at night.
- Donald (8/5): - Enjoyed stay. We has one of the king rooms with deck on the back overlooking the sound. Great room.
- Jonathan (10/5): -
- Pulliam (8/5): We had a great time - We had a beautiful view out on the bay. The broom was nice. But you can tell it's on the ocean.
The breakfast was amazing and the staff isbso helpful and friendly! Nothing
- Donna (10/5): - The location was very convenient to everything. It suited our needs perfectly!
- LEONARD S (8/5): - Nice location. Facility in good shape. Staff was helpful.
- CRYSTAL (6/5): - The room had a musty smell but the view was amazing
- Kimberlee (10/5): -
- Karen (10/5): - Our room was clean and comfortable with views of the bay. The breakfast had a wide selection and one of the best continental breakfasts we've seen. The amenities are great with access to bikes and multiple pools. We definitely plan on coming back!
- Cantarero (9/5): -
- Tracy (8/5): - The tub drain is very slow and a bit outdated
- Janet (10/5): - The view was fantastic and the breakfast was wonderful.... so glad it was dog friendly Nothing
- Stephen (10/5): - Loved the location on the Sound. Beautiful. Would stay again.
- Kathryn (10/5): -
- Deanna (6/5): - After hours check-in was easy; room,
King sized bed and shower was spacious; staff was very friendly; and they provided a decent continental breakfast. However, the facilities showed their age, are bare bones with no amenities (e.g. 2 to tiny bath towels were provided and not much else. They use the brightest, whitest light bulbs (no warmth) and the walls are paper thin. Sounded like my neighbors TV show was playing my room. There is a distinct smell of rotting plant matter on the sound side of the property. Too expensive for the bare bones nature of the place.
- Nicole (8/5): Coming back! - Location on sound great and use of amenities with resort awesome! Bringing large bags to 3rd floor with only stairs was a surprise.
- Lara (10/5): - What a gem of a place. The view from the waterside rooms is worth every penny! This place had that old school charm and hospitality you don’t get anywhere else these days. Bruce the bartender makes the stay memorable and makes you feel welcome. Book it for the views, stay for the stories, and enjoy the tiki bar and pool. I will be coming back next year. Such a memorable trip with this place. Bonus is the water sports are just outside the hotel and you get free access to the huge gym facility next door.
- jean-Sébastien (10/5): - the hotel is fantastic - and the bay marvelous
- Michelle (10/5): Fun, amazing sunset view from dock. - Super cute rooms, friendly staff
- Kathy (8/5): - The room and bed were very comfortable. Staff and breakfast were nice. The property outside i have to say from the looks of it i was nervous about what our room was going to be like. The room was clean and nice. The property not so much. I will say though that the next day they were cleaning the the outdoors of the property. Later that day it looked nice and very clean. We had a waterfront view which we could not enjoy as it smelled like sewer. Thst was very disappointing. We couldn't stay outside to enjoy the view. The outside pool was nice
I
- Tonya (10/5): - We loved our stay
- konrad (6/5): - quiet. comfy bed. location
- Andrea (2/5): Not worth the money at all - Old and everything needs to be replaced- blankets smell like wet dogs. Staff is unfriendly.
- Scannapieco (5/5): - The staff was less than pleasant
- Olga (10/5): - Kids running screaming in areas where they should have behaved.
- Lars (4/5): Don't go there - The place is old and tired. No amenities on site. Room on the third floor with no elevator
- Erin (10/5): - Cute place, enjoyed our stay, especially the pool and the employees, the breakfast gentlemen always had a smile and a great attitude!
- Alfred (4/5): - Great location directly on the water with a beautiful dock and gazebo at end with jet skis and boats to rent etc. I’ve been coming here for decades and the rooms used to be old and dated but at least they were cozy. Now they’ve sort of up dated the rooms ugly furniture, fake wood floors but no cozy rugs are anything, ugly depressing colors. Navy blue and grey. Everything still looks super dated just uglier than ever. My room smelled like an old locker room. Bengay oder and all ! Disgusting! The Inns only manager had left right after I checked in or I would have complained about the smell and checked right out !! Also the mattress on bed was low quality garbage. Pillows too. Slept horrible. It was a bad night between the smell and the horrible bed. Done with that place. Moving on. There are much better places on the Outer Banks
- Debra (6/5): - I think the bathroom sink area was difficult to maneuver around...meaning no counter space at all. Also, the bedding and mattress was only so so. But the people we came in contact with were very helpful and welcoming.
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Scenery
spacious
- Ramazi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cindy (8/5): Nice Inn with beautiful views of the Sound - We had a beautiful room with a balcony on the Sound. The sunsets were amazing! As stated in the Inn's info, there is a smell associated with the swampy mud area near the bulkhead, but we expected itvandvwas not bother by it. The only arm chair in the room was made of poor quality. It would have been nice to have 2 nicely made chairs to enjoy sitting and chatting in the evening. The continental breakfast was a nice variety of items and the dining and food area was extremely clean. The customer service was great from check-in to check-out! We would definitely stay again and recommend the Inn to others.
- Anna (4/5): - Walking to our room smelled awful then spiders, spiders and spiders...we found 7 spiders in our room the first night... everywhere spiders.
Bed was hard and uncomfortable. Breakfast was very nice though!!
- Anahid (6/5): - Our stay was fine, however the property and rooms need a facelift. It’s very rustic and old. We had a king suite which was a large room with a pullout but the furniture, room and bathroom needed a major upgrade. The staff was excellent and super friendly and helpful and the property’s location was ideal. Central and by the water. Overall we had a pleasant stay but I don’t think I could stay there again unless they do some major renovations.
- Dorcas (9/5): I recommend the Inn to anyone looking for a good price with excellent facilities nearby. - One of best hotel continental breakfasts I’ve had and such friendly staff.
Being able to use recreational facilities nearby was a huge plus. Pools, beach, restaurant were all excellent. They made the stay a bargain. The hotel is a little tired looking on the outside and rooms are basic but we spent more time at the beach and pools nearby.
- Erin (9/5): Cozy and comfortable - The location and walking areas in the back were ideal for traveling with a little kid. The gentleman at the breakfast area was so friendly, as were the other guests. All was good.
- Suzanne (9/5): Lovely small waterfront inn that provides lots of extras - The location is great! We really liked being near the Sound and yet close to the oceanside beach and the historic area of Corolla. We weren't expecting all of the extra benefits such as the oceanfront pool and beach access that are part of the Corolla Light Resort. We enjoyed riding the bicycles they had available for our use. The continental breakfast included with the room cost was quite good and nicely served in the breakfast room. The staff member who oversaw that - Bruce - was attentive, friendly and helpful. The room was fine but nothing particularly outstanding. The room's location in the hotel made it less enjoyable (its windows were right on a main walkway so we had to keep our curtains drawn). Where your room is located in the building complex makes a big difference. Our room was in a poor location along a main walkway and we kept our curtains drawn almost the entire time. Some other rooms were in a similar situation while others had views or at least were in a better location as far as foot traffic goes. And some had chairs outside them. We could walk outside our room elsewhere on the property to enjoy sitting outside, but the room's location definitely was less desirable.
- Akers (9/5): Inn at Corrolla - Great location, very friendly staff. This is an older hotel but is clean and in decent shape
The grounds are well maintained and it's nice that it's dog friendly. I would choose to stay again if I was planning to be vacation in the outer banks The only complaint is the air conditioner tended to be loud when running g
- Russell (9/5): Superb - Nice. Quiet
- Joanne (9/5): Superb - It was lovely. Only suggestion for other guests, bring your own pillows.
- Thomas (7/5): Nice short visit to Corolla - Breakfast was an assortment of cakes, muffins, breads, bagels and breakfast bars with Coffee and juices. It was as expected. The staff was pleasantly welcoming and talked to the guests. Very friendly which was nice. I like the view of the sound and the pool area was nice. Great ice cream next door. The Inn was full and the guests were very quiet at night. No parties or loud music. The rooms were comfortable and clean but the outside area was dark and didn't have anything special. The bar outside was too small and crowded with kids playing everywhere so I didn't use it. I went down the street to a bar.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Coats Stay at The Inn at Corolla Light - I loved the sound view, biking on the nature trail, waterfall/rock,pool, access to beach, kayaking at the watersports area, and continental breakfast. I thought we would have a kitchen table and extra sitting chair in our king suite room due to the pictures online but we didn't.
- Tracey (10/5): Nice Gem - Nice place for a stay in Corolla. Check-in was easy as well as check out. Clean room.
- Olivia (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was great. Rooms were very comfortable, clean and spacious. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Nothing
- Clinton (7/5): Loved it nice and quiet in the evening. Need to spry for the spiders. My wife wouldn’t had stayed here. - Great place I loved the location couldn’t be better and really quiet in the evening. The room was full of spiders. Lots of spiders outside and they make it inside.
- Keith (4/5): - It was nice, just expected the rooms to be a little nicer and cleaner. There were bugs in every corner of the room.
- Angie (8/5): There aren’t a whole lot of hotel options in Corolla, but you can count on this one to provide what you need. - This is a good option for the center of Corolla. It’s an older hotel, but they have kept it up nicely and provided a lot of amenities, including a complementary breakfast, a pool, tiki bar, and toiletries. It was great to be able to bring our dogs. There was a nice walking trail on the sound side of the hotel. You also have access to the trolley and amenities at Corolla Light resort. The room can get very dark, especially at night.
- Jeff (6/5): - Bad smell from outside but hotel was great
- Carl (8/5): - Great staff
