Guest Reviews
- Aidan (8/5): -
- Orlando (9/5): - Clean room, quiet and comfortable No tractor trailer parking
- Jason (4/5): If you had to just flop for a quick nap and get back on the road, I guess you could make it work. - Beds were reasonably comfortable. Bathtub drains were very plugged. Taking a shower meant standing in a foot of water. Floor was cracked and crumbling. Laminate was peeling up everywhere. Sink faucets leaked. Door seals were missing or damaged.
- Valerie (10/5): -
- Lindberg (7/5): -
- Zachary (10/5): - clean room, freshly painted and good breakfast.
fastest internet I've ever seen. 160 megabit I was using my VR all night
- floyd (8/5): Budget option that is safe and clean. -
- Kelley (8/5): - The front desk clerks were nice and it was quiet. The room was big. A little outdated but it looks like they are fixing stuff up. The room smelled moldy and the floor in one of our rooms was falling in.
- Dan (10/5): -
- Cindie (8/5): - Toilet needs to be higher. People with bad knees can’t get up from that low
- Steven (6/5): - Breajfast was unacceptable ( To you think Poptarts are or cerial with milk that was not refrigerated is a good thing?). 7:30 wake up call came at 6:38 AM. Parking at my door was a good thing. Parking lot was well lit. I would not stay there again.
- Eric (2/5): - Get what you pay for! They were power washing the outside for makeover but with 1" gap in door that dont seal had water all over floor when got there. Nats were coming out of sink. Tried to relax after long drive but had guest in bed already when spider crawled across bed after pulled covers back and then another crawling on chair.
- GILBERT (8/5): Excellent - Good service. Clean room. Accessible parking.
- Cindy (8/5): - Felt safe, no bugs,
- Linda (9/5): -
- Juan (6/5): - Buildings are older and abit run down, room wasnt the cleanest, neighbors were smoking
- Madden (10/5): -
- Robert (8/5): - Older hotel with older furnishings but comfortable. Room was clean, beds are comfortable. Easy off highway with parking outside your door. Staff is very pleasant
- Bill (6/5): - Old and beaten. Room was so so. Occupant in one room used his key to enter my room. Innocent mistake but could have been tragic.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice - The motel seemed to be operated by people who take pride in their work, our room had a great shower
- Verified traveler (6/5): The name of the place says it all - Very old hotel. Everything worked thankfully. Room had a weird air freshner that didnt smell very pleasant. Stay was okay but over priced, listing said it came with breakfast but what they really had was 2 options of sugar filled cereal and a plate of little debbie oatmeal cream pies. Definitely not the best place for a family breakfast but glad we didnt see any bugs in our room.
- Jodee (8/5): - Staff was very friendly and rooms were clean.
- Rebecca (10/5): Love Retro! - It was very clean being an older hotel. I loved the retro style. The staff was very nice. The shower had plenty of water pressure. The A/C freezes you which is a good thing in my opinion.
- Lexi (6/5): Cheap in good ways and bad ways - It was cheap and right along the highway Our room had flies and gnats and spiderwebs, we felt unsafe due to our door being open to the outside yet only one lock working and there were people walking around outside at night
- Robin (6/5): - The outside was kind of unkept otherwise the bebeds were
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very very basic - The room was very dated and in need of an update
- Angela (10/5): - Older but had everything you need. Beds were comfortable. TV choice good. I'd stay again.
- Renee (10/5): - Its a very dated motel but a fair value for the price.
- Paul (4/5): - I saw a bed bug. Sticky residue on bedside table. Spiders in bath area.. poorly maintained building. Never stay there!!
- Richard (6/5): - Only stayed for the evening on a trip. Didn’t have any problems but wouldn’t stay here multiple days. Property was old and run down. Next to Highway and a truck Plaza and was noisy.
- Yohei (7/5): Good -
- Myra (6/5): - The breakfast was the most abbreviated breakfast service I've ever seen. Staff was extremely kind and helpful, though. Everything was clean in the room. Bed was comfortable enough. During the night, someone tampered with the combination lock on our trailer, so that was a bit unsettling.
- Erik (10/5): - It was everything we planned and paid for happy we stayed here will do again if in the area
- Andrew (5/5): The place was clean and maintained, but looked dodgy and unwelcoming. - They 'Offered Breakfast' Expired poptarts and cereal, no milk available.
- Diane (6/5): - The outside area needs some attention not very appealing but the room
- Clarence (8/5): - The property may seem a little outdated but don’t let the outside appearance put you off. The room was clean and the air conditioning worked very well! Would stay here again!
- Paula (8/5): - Not bad for a highway hotel. It was clean enough, but not perfect. There was a dog or cat food behind the T.V., corners of the room were very dusty, the bedding was stained and tarnish and it still smelled like smoke from the 70s.
But for the price we weren't expecting much and we were able to sleep and shower and be on our way.
The decor was so cute and took us back to a time when things were slower and much more simple. Staff was very friendly.
- Kimberly (10/5): - Convenient for over night stay.
And was greatly appreciated the smoking room.
Availability.
- Ernestine (6/5): - I was totally uncomfortable. The reviews said it was a highly rated place. It was not.
- Douglas (5/5): only place available - quick overnight stay breakfast
- Vanessa (8/5): - It was a very friendly place. The room was clean.
- Karen (8/5): - The property was reasonably priced and quiet.
- Colton (10/5): - Easy to check in
- Tammy (3/5): Pass it by - Smelled bad, musty...very uncomfortable
- Olivier (8/5): - Was decent for a highway hotel. Nice people at the counter. Family ran. Not too much to complain ol about other than it being outdated. For the price was worth the money
- Janet (10/5): - Its an old property. Very clean. Comfy beds.
Would stay again
- MacKenzie (10/5): - Yes, its dated. But, its clean. And the beds are crazy comfortable. And the water pressure? Divine. Best bang for your buck on a road trip. Easy highway access, gas and food immediately next door too.
- pierre (10/5): Better then the look. - Holdy type of motel, but behinds it look everything's perfect. Clean and confortable bed. We got room 17 with a kingsize bed. Thanks to the bed i had a great sleep.
- Porter (10/5): Exceptional - It was fitting for quick rest and go situation. It's not a 5-star, but it has 5-star service for something overnight. Everything was great except our rental was sideswiped in the parking lot while we were sleeping. We just needed camera footage to give the adjuster
- Diana (8/5): - I have been staying here for 3 years on my annual travel through the area. This hotel might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's comfortable, fairly quiet and they have the softest towels ever. It's a little dated but has hardwood floors and in my opinion as clean as any more expensive places I've stayed. Staff is friendly and very helpful.
- Nathan (10/5): Good value for the price. - I have stayed at this motel several times. It's a convenient location halfway between my home and Columbus Ohio where I visit frequently. I am grateful for a decent motel that offers smoking rooms. While this motel has not been updated in quite a while the owners and staff are friendly, there are good food options nearby, and you can't beat the price.
- Gaye (8/5): Cheap, clean. - One of the cleanest places we have stayed in. Large room. It had two full beds plus room for a table and chairs. There were some minor cosmetic items that could be fixed. If you are looking for a nice room for a good price, this is it. Don't be put off by the need for major clean up outside. Basic cereal, toast juice, coffee for breakfast.
- Tracy (6/5): - I will do for a night I was kind of afraid to sleep under the covers because the sheets were burnt in the dryer.
- Allen (2/5): - The carpet was wet, not damp. The room smelled like wet carpet. I only stayed an hour and decided to check out and drive the remaining 6 hours home.
- Adrianne (10/5): - Great price, clean and comfortable beds!
- Ashley (10/5): - Great place for overnight stay. Bed is comfortable and we have stayed multiple nights in multiple different rooms.
- Erica (6/5): Good for a quick stay. - When we first pulled up it did feel sketchy but it was super late and dead out. Once we got into the room we felt better but it did have a very strong odor almost like poo. We sprayed the whole room with Lysol before going to get dinner and had our air purifier going all night to help. There was no breakfast except cereal so dont expect getting breakfast there. Overall the room was good for a quick stay.
- Will (6/5): - The beds were comfortable, and the sheets were clean.
But towels were pretty thread bare and the tub floor was very uneven. It is fine for a quick nights stop while travelling.
- theresa (4/5): comfortable bed, no hot water! - No hot water!!!! When management was told about this issue they were unconcerned. My husband took a cold shower and I didn’t have a shower. Very disappointing.
- Salivahana (6/5): - It was just enough for when you unexpectedly get stuck in a snow blizzard on a road trip.
- Leonard M (10/5): - Real nice folks. Quiet, clean room. Don’t read any other reviews. Just off exit with food and gas options… and fast internet. I’d stay again!
- Curtis (8/5): We needed a place to stay and it was just what we needed - It was convenient to the highway. Could use a boot tray to put our wet snowy boots in so the floor didn’t get so wet. How about some fruit with breakfast
- David (6/5): - Old property, not updated! Garbage truck came at 2 am! Basic bed and shower, not luxury. Bed was hard.
- Patricia (7/5): Good - The price The outside and parking lot
- John (10/5): - It was really everything the reviews I read said it was!
- Tonia (6/5): - There was food in fridge and in freezer.
- Rebekah (7/5): Good -
- Jeannie (8/5): Very good -
- Bruce (7/5): Good -
- Bruce (5/5): I was a great value. - The LOCATION & PRICE. WHERE WHAT I WANTED TO PAY. The pillows were too soft.
- Miller (9/5): Cozy room right off the free way in adorable town - The location, room, free breakfast coffee There was an additional $10 for pet that was not advertised
- Kimberly (10/5): - Very friendly staff, the room was clean and roomy.
- Jeannie (8/5): Very good - Bed was great. Cute town. Breakfast was cereal, coffee and juice. What I have at home. Great price too.
- Joy (8/5): Sketchy but decent. - This is an old motel and from first glance seems sketchy. Eeek. Yet the room was decent. It needs remodeling for sure and appears to be a place where local people would rent long term.
They use actual keys and not key cards. The fridge in the room was the biggest I have seen. The tub/shower was old and short. I am 5’3 and if I was much taller I would not fit under the shower head. It did have nice water pressure.
The people at the desk were nice.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Ok place to stay. Cleaner than I expected. Smell of old cigarettes linger in the room. Booked 1 king bed, got 2 doubles. It was a place to lay our heads for the night after a wedding.
- Shawn (6/5): - Old but clean and quite
- Lizzette (10/5): - Dated but good price and conveniently located friendly staff
- Shields (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patricia (8/5): - About what you expect for the price. A decent place to stay with pets
- Traveler60 (8/5): Very good -
- Nathan (10/5): Great value. Clean room. Friendly service. - This hotel is a great value. It is convenient to I-70, room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. This is not a luxury motel. It is a safe, clean, basic motel. It is a great value. I will stay here on future drives from Kansas City to Columbus Ohio. There are options for food nearby. Parking area is clean and well lit.
- Richard (8/5): Good for a quick stay. - The outside areas around the motel are quite ugly. The building is old bith inside and out. My room was very clean, everything worked and the bed was very comfortable.
- Barb (8/5): Will stay there again - Value, friendly staff, clean Breakfast was ok. Coffee good but milk for cereal was frozen
- Martin (8/5): - Marvelous desk staff.
- Christin (2/5): - It smelled so bad in the room, the bed was dirty (the sheets had brown spots that did not just look like stains)and so uncomfortable and there were bugs bitting us all night. It was too late to go find somewhere else as we are on a motorcycle going across the country. This was the worst place I have ever stayed in my life!!!! I would not recommend at all!!!
- Michael (8/5): - The room was clean. The hotel and experience was utilitarian. The staff member who checked us in was friendly and nice.
- Michael (1/5): Poorly advertised - Nothing. I do not like the area. Did not feel like it was Secure. I did not stay there.
- Melissa (10/5): - Great clean old true motel. Park right in front of room. Inside it took me back in time with old features. Walls, floors, and beds and were in good shape. Just know if you get a smoking room, they are very smoky.
- Brandon (8/5): - Was good. Only there to sleep. Plenty of food options in close proximity.
- Alice (10/5): - Excellent stay! Cute older motel but owners take great care and walk the grounds at night to keep everyone safe. Very convenient to Loves truck stop, Dairy Queen and another convenient store. Right off highway and you can't hear the road noise. I Highly Recommend this place.
- sandra (6/5): - Overall conditions appeared to be ok.
- Paula (7/5): Just a place to sleep. Was okay. - Was fine. Matched the listing. Could use a little cosmetic attention. Especially in the bathroom.
- Matt (6/5): Cheap motel but clean - Good overnight place to stay for minimal dollars.
- Quincy (6/5): Quiet and pretty clean with friendly staff, so fine for one night. - This is definitely a budget hotel just off the freeway, so it’s convenient but nothing fancy. The staff seemed to be a family living at the property, but they were very nice! The sheets on one of the beds had stains and looked worn down, but the other bed was fine. Also, the shower head was broken, but still usable.
- Yenping (8/5): Very good -
- Mike (8/5): - Good value. Clean, quiet and equipped as expected,
- Kyle (8/5): Great for a quick overnight! - Great little small family owned hotel right off of the highway. Close to several gas stations and fast food.
- Catherine (10/5): - My cats and I had a very lovely stay.
- Ransom (8/5): - It was an older property. A good value for the dollar
- Gary (4/5): Disappointing -
