Guest Reviews
- Beth (10/5): - Stayed for 3 nights in early October. The man in the office was polite and helpful with dining places and other things you wanted to know about. You could tell the motel was renovated not that many years ago. Our room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. If you enjoy wine they had a corkscrew and real wine glasses on a tray with the ice bucket, I liked that. The continental breakfast had everything you need for a good start to your day, even fresh sourdough bread to toast. That was a first at a motel and definitely a treat. We would stay there again in the future.
- Helena (8/5): - Staff was very friendly and easy going.
- LEITH (10/5): - Looks a bit oldish from outside but room was clean, updated and had everything we needed. Beds were super comfortable. The place was very quiet in mid October mid week. Peter, the manager, gave us a few good local tips. Continental breakfast included. I would return.
- Jamie (8/5): - Nice older motel, nothing fancy but a pleasant stay.
- Levi (10/5): - Nice little motel. Updates, clean, nice breakfast.
- Paul (10/5): - Great location to ride on the cape cod rail trail. Large rooms. Comfortable beds and nice breakfast included
- Dawn (10/5): - Everything was great.
- Joni (10/5): - This place was just renovated so nicely. Rooms super clean with great bedding and the landscaped grounds looked so nice. It surprised us with how nice of a place it was! And I was also able to walk to get coffee and breakfast as I didn’t wake up early enough for the Inn’s breakfast😊
- Sonya (6/5): Bathroom smelled like an outhouse - The second day we told the hotel the toilet was leaking on the bathroom floor. It was obvious a quick-fix of sloppy caulking was done. The next morning the bathroom smelled like an outhouse and the toilet had leaked water on the floor again. Fortunately we were checking out that day. I wouldn’t stay there again.
- Todd (10/5): - Rooms were updated and clean. We used the pool, which was also clean and in great shape. About a 10 minute walk into Orleans where there is plenty to do. Would stay there again.
- Olesya (8/5): - We shall recommend this motel near the Rail Trail and Orleans Center !
- Betty Jo (10/5): - Nice place
- Augusta (8/5): - This was hands down the best motel I have stayed in. I slept until 7:45am which is unheard of for me. The bed was so comfortable 💕
- Richard (10/5): - pleasant and freindly
- Victoria (10/5): Orleans - We were in Cape Cod for a wedding. The room was spotless, the breakfast good, the bed comfortable. Very nice stay!
- Noel (10/5): Venerable Orleans Gem - 6 night stay for a reunion with friends. The Olde Tavern is a long time Orleans fixture and Very comfortable traditional motel. Nothing trendy or fancy, but well maintained and clean. All basic needs fully met. The proprietor and staff are super friendly and accommodating. Very nice continental breakfast spread was better than expected. Good coffee too!
Great location and a rare good value on the Outer Cape
- Mary (10/5): - Our room was very clean with soft towels in the bathroom. The Keurig with k cups was much appreciated. The owner was very accommodating and the breakfast was lovely.
- Allan (10/5): - Though an older motel, this facility and its amenities have been thoroughly renovated and updated; everything was was nicely done, very comfortable, clean, and convenient to downtown Orleans.
- George (10/5): - Cute little inn, with a nice quiet pool!
- Adrienne (10/5): - The room had a lot of space and didn't feel cluttered with furniture. The decor was beautiful and relaxing. We only stayed one night but I can see us coming back again for a longer stay in the future.
- Michael (6/5): Good for a night on the way through town. - The property is fine for an overnight stay. Not much of a resort though. The rooms are about halfway updated, new floors, new lights, new vanities. There is still old tubs and tile that show wear from the years and could use a complete update. The air conditioning blows right on the bed and it’s hot enough that you have to use it, but it keeps you up at night as well. Again, not a bad place just not at the level I would hope. Breakfast was fine, but simple, breads, yogurt, banana’s and cereal. The pool was nice, and the area behind is nestled between a bunch of wooded areas, which makes it nice.
- Gina (10/5): - Check in was fast and easy. The room was clean and pretty. The water pressure in the shower was phenomenal! The breakfast was continental but had pancakes! The staff was super helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again!
- Tammy (8/5): - Kind and helpful staff.
- Heather (4/5): - The floors in the room were disgusting, the room had a weird smell
The bathroom was gross- shower and floor
Put a floor towel down it was blackened and the slip mat in shower was gross. Had to wear water shoes. When you shut the bathroom door stuff would fall from vent.
There was no microwave the refrigerator didn’t work well. No beds, at least the towels were clean and beds okay.
Not worth the cost! The reviews were all great not sure if it was the same hotel or paid reviews. Would never stay there again could have stay at a resort 20 mins aways for the few days we were there with a cleaner rooms and more amenities. Same price but trusted the reviews in this hotel.
- Linda (10/5): - The manager, Peter, was extremely nice. The continental breakfast was very substantial.
The rooms were immaculate. And they had all the amenities that you needed. Very much worth the money
- Rachel (10/5): - Peter was very helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. We will definitely stay here again when visiting the Cape.
- Jennifer (10/5): - They pay attentions to every little detail, from providing ear plugs for sleeping, to folding the toilet paper into a boat! It was amazing!
- Eugene (10/5): Great Place, Reasonable Price. Close To All - It seems like the guy running the place Peter, is also the owner- always a good sign.
Very friendly and accommodating. I also have to give a great review for the person cleaning the room. Very thorough, total attention to detail. When she finished, it felt like a new room when we walked in.
- Brittany (10/5): - Best little retreat that I could have ever ask for. Private, beautiful rooms. Close to a lot of places! Couldn’t have asked for a better stay!
- Jacquelyn (8/5): - In walking distance of everything. Recently updated and clean. Pool looked nice but didn’t have a chance to enjoy.
- Jacqueline (10/5): - Employee in the office was super helpful. Breakfast was nice and the room was great.
- Ricardo (8/5): - Great staff and great location! Clean place. Comfy beds. Fair price
- Danielle (10/5): - This was a great place to stay. Quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly.
- Christie (8/5): - The rooms are decorated in a nautical theme using colors reminiscent of the sea. The breakfast is good. The hands free pancake maker is fun to watch and makes small tasty pancakes. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Although the motel looks typical from the outside, it's above and beyond! A great little place we would stay at again.
- Jeff (8/5): - As other reviewers have mentioned, the room was clean and comfortable but it is still a motel. Don't expect any more than that and you will appreciate the room. The manager and his staff were very friendly and responsive to requests.
- Romulus (10/5): - Wonderful stay at this newly renovated property.
- Penny (8/5): - The room was spacious, nice tv, larger size fridge, new ac/heat unit, updated bathroom and shower, quiet and great location near town. The front desk was very welcoming. We didn’t try the breakfast. Bed was perfect. The room smelled musty upon entry but wasn’t bad after a minute or so with the windows open. Outside of building could definitely use some love, a good paint scraping and a fresh coat. Would stay again.
- Steve (10/5): A low-key & peaceful retreat! 🙏 - This quaint little spot off one of the main roads in Orleans was the perfect place for me to stay for two nights as I helped my dad move houses. From the nicely set up café and check-in area to the friendly service I received. I will certainly plan to visit again when I have a chance. Thanks so much for making it so easy and enjoyable for me!
- Jun (10/5): - Room is spacious
- Thomas (8/5): - Friendly staff. Clean rooms. OK self serve breakfast of muffins, cereals, some fruit, coffee, juice, hard boiled eggs and yogurt.
No microwave ovens in rooms.
Close to local restaurants and shopping. Great location as a home base for exploring the cape-North and South.
- Kimberly (8/5): - Loved this beautiful property and the room was clean and comfortable. The manager was helpful, kind and knowledgeable. Cant wait to stay again.
- Robert (8/5): - Great value for your money.
- Rachel (10/5): - Clean, seems updated, bedding was comfortable and staff was friendly. We enjoyed our stay
- robert (10/5): - property is in good shape. Easy parking. breakfast pretty good. TV is good, but channel selection is confusing. coffee not so good. Clean and quiet.
- Phiippe (8/5): Best combination of price vs service/quality - We spent one night for Mother's Day. Very few guests (it's amazing to see that for many businesses which are closed - the reason is "winter season" - May 11th...). Anyway, the room we got was entirely recently remodeled. Overall, an excellent night - the picture you see is the pool on the back of the motel with trees isolating you from anything else. We will very likely come back.
- Mark (10/5): - Property extremely welcoming, great amenities, newer furniture, and great decor
- Sharon (10/5): Convenient, clean, affordable. - We needed two rooms on short notice for a family funeral. Location was great -- we just got an electric car and found a charging station two doors down, so we could leave the car and walk back to the motel. Booking was easy, the innkeeper was polite, knowledgeable, and efficient. Room was fine -- clean, had all of the necessities. Only complaint is the pillows -- oddly square, very flat and uncomfortable. The continental breakfast was perfect and we met nice people while having a quick breakfast to start our day.
- William (10/5): - Friendly staff, centrally located , breakfast every morning!
- KIMBERLY (10/5): - I liked the property. Floor was sandy upon arrival other than that everything was great!
- Bill (10/5): - Well maintained. Friendly, helpful staff.
- Emmanuel (10/5): - Very nice front desk agent
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely motel, rooms clean and spacious. Very quiet
- Ryan (10/5): - The gentlemen at front desk was so friendly & anwsered any questions we had about area.
- Susan (8/5): - Olde Tavern is an old facility. It’s clean and well maintained but the bathroom is smaller than in newer motels and there’s no microwave in the room. The rooms have two doors, the rear one opening on a deck facing the pool and some woodland, which is nice.
- Annelise (8/5): - .
- Alan (8/5): - Nice Place
- Cassie (10/5): - Very nice room, quiet and calm atmosphere.
The breakfast was nice, lots of easy options.
The bathroom could have definitely been cleaner, some spots were questionable and there is not microwave in the rooms, but overall it was a nice stay.
- Maryellen (8/5): Return to Cape - Great location
- Doug (10/5): - Very quaint and clean place to stay with updated fixtures, only drawback that there was no microwave in the room to heat up leftovers.
- rand (10/5): - Easy for elderly to get in and out and easy on and off cranberry highway
- Amanda (8/5): - Extremely clean and the beds surprisingly comfortable. I would definitely stay again.
- Michael (10/5): - Clean, convenient
- Heather (10/5): - We’ve stayed twice and it’s been quiet and clean both times. Great free hotel breakfast
- Amy (8/5): - Great place. Owners were so sweet!
- Patricia (10/5): - The most comfortable motel we’ve been to. Couldn’t ask for anything, facilities were absolute great. Would highly recommend. Nicest front staff person!!!
- Michaela (10/5): - I stayed here for 6 nights and I don’t have any complaints! The continental breakfast has a good variety (of course the cool pancake maker was a hit), it was all clean, sanitary, the pool area gets a good amount of sun and is quiet, there are plenty of chairs outside to enjoy fresh air, the bed is super comfortable, and the room has plenty a space. I can’t recommend this motel enough. It’s the best affordable place to stay at in Cape Cod at a good location with stores, restaurants, beaches, and other activities close by! The staff was also friendly and respectful my whole stay. I’ll definitely stay here again if/when I go back to cape cod
- Lynn (8/5): - Cute little motel with some nice upgrades and a decent continental breakfast. Desk staff was very friendly.
- Duane (10/5): - Rooms are very nicely done. You can hear TVs in the next room more than I would expect but it was generally quiet at night. Good management.
- Ray (10/5): - Hidden gem.
- Tara (10/5): - The hotel staff is amazing.
- Lindsay (10/5): - Great location. Simply and clean facilities. Quality complimentary breakfast. Updated bathroom facilities. Specious rooms for four people in our party. The motel is connected to the center of Orleans via sidewalks which is great. Pool is simple, clean with bright decor. My 11 year old enjoyed it. Overall we are very pleased with our two night stay and would stay again.
- Glen (10/5): - Clean and friendly service
- Megan (10/5): - Peter was a lovely host. Complimentary breakfast was a great addition to this stay. Room was quiet and king bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to leave it.
- Carrie (10/5): - Great motel at a great price
- Lauren (10/5): - We really enjoyed our evening. Very clean and peaceful.
- deborah (6/5): - The breakfast had fresh bagels and excellent English muffins. The staff was great
- Heather (10/5): - Simple property but clean and nice continental breakfast
- Staci (10/5): - Clean, and just a few blocks from the beach. Breakfast is great.
- Kit (10/5): - Well priced, clean room for the area. Centrally located. Would stay here if back in the area. Very helpful staff.
- robert (10/5): - Clean rooms with great cable. HBO etc. fridge, good AC, pool
Could use a microwave or electric car charger.
All was great.
- Debra (10/5): - This is a comfortable, clean motel. Nice pool area. The young man at the desk was very helpful regarding local attractions.
- Jerry (10/5): Pleasantly surprised! - Stayed at property 15 years ago for business, rooms were very aged and dirty. New owners took over in 2019 and have done a great job renovating. Will definitely return in the future.
- Shannon (8/5): - The only negatives were that there is SO much light coming in the window it was difficult to sleep. The curtains definitely don’t block it out. The TV remote didn’t work unless you stood in front of the TV. Other than that, it was clean and quiet, the gentleman at the front desk was really nice and the location is great.
- Kimberly (8/5): Hidden Cape Cod Gem - A hidden gem. The person running this charming place was super nice/helpful/offered local insights. It’s aging a bit, but we really enjoyed our stay.
- Robert (10/5): - The rooms were beautiful and all the accommodations well done
- Frederick (10/5): - The bedrooms were large and had extremely comfortable queen beds. Wonderfully gracious host-owner.
- Christopher (10/5): - Very nice place for a weekend stay. Kind and generous staff.
Its an older facility but has comfortable space that are a bit larger than more modern facilities and and they've done a good job with updates, particularly in the bathrooms.
- Vincent (10/5): - Great motel, friendly staff, would stay here again
- peter (8/5): - I enjoyed the area around the hotel as well as the hotel itself. The room was nice and clean however would have been nice to have had a microwave in room. Also the breakfast was lacking but appreciated.
- JODI (10/5): Very Clean and Quaint - Motel was perfect. Very clean and spacious room. Staff was very friendly and helpful! There complimentary breakfast was the perfect ending to a very enjoyable stay!!
Highly recommend this Motel
- James (10/5): - Check in was friendly & easy, rooms were big & clean, breakfast was surprisingly good, location is close to Orleans shops & restaurants.
- Robert (10/5): - We have stayed here for many year’s, the owner keeps a neat and clean property and I would recommend staying here.
- Shawn (8/5): - Property was immaculate, beds were great. Parking was easy. Great location to activities on the Cape. The Hotel know they have a (room to room) noise problem as they supply ear plugs in the room. If you are a light sleeper consider other options. Staff was helpful.. but they placed people in the room right next to us while there were rooms empty and there was a possibility to have separation. You can hear the TV from one room to the other.
- Betsy (10/5): Great little motel - For a small “motel” which someone has given a one star they are nuts. The room was large clean and comfortable. Would stay there again
- Cong (10/5): - A very nice stay here!
- Joseph (10/5): - We have not been there in a few years and loved the renovations and updated room we stayed in. Breakfast was great too and I love the easy access to so many beaches.
- Lisa (10/5): - The property was very clean and neat. Our room was spacious and updated with new bedding, bathroom utilities and a new television and refrigerator. We liked the option of swimming in the outdoor pool.
The continental breakfast was sufficient and had a cool automatic pancake maker! I wish the front sitting space was a bit more enticing. It would have been nice to eat breakfast outside on a patio.
Overall, the Motor Inn was very comfortable and enjoyable.
- Lisa (10/5): - King Room was large, newly remodeled. Good bathroom/shower and comfy bed.
- Francisco (10/5): - Updated room very well equipped and with confortable beds
- JOHN (8/5): - Great staff !!
