Guest Reviews
- Todd (10/5): - Rooms were nice and clean and this property is within easy walking distance of Allen Street.
- Terri (10/5): - The new owner is redoing the property and rooms. The rooms are beautifully redone Tombstone style. The owner and their children even made some of the lamps and lighting. Clean and beautiful. Provided shampoo, shower gel, and blow dryer. The staff is very friendly!
Beds were a little soft for our taste but very nice. Walking distance to all the events downtown Tombstone. Would highly recommend this place and i would rebook!!
- susan (10/5): - It’s easy to walk from the motel to downtown Tombstone. Our room could have been just a little bit larger but we didn’t go to sit in the room. Very clean and the room decor is very unique. It’s also close to Boot Hill.
- Carl (10/5): - Nice rooms and close to downtown.
- Patti (10/5): - The rooms are being renovated, so there is some construction going on; however, our room was so cute and unique. Loved the decor and it was super clean and comfortable!
- Brett (8/5): - I think the locks for the rooms need to be more like most hotels and motels.
- Steven (6/5): - this is an older building it is lower in price than most others in area . very close to allen street was withing what I was expecting
- Verified traveler (6/5): Location! - Great location. Walking distance to the shops. I had an older room, so it was outdated. Not bad for a one night stay. Good water pressure.
- john (8/5): - It was a great stay tombstone is pretty cool hotel was older but clean and comfortable
- Retha (8/5): - The bed was quite comfortable.
- Nancy (6/5): - Bed had no support, carpet was dirty, no frig no microwave coffee cups styrafoam cups dirty looking uncovered.
- James (10/5): - Renovated themed room was great!
Limited parking (i had to park on street on opposite side of building). Office was messy but fine. Combination doors (instead of keys or cards) took a little getting used to.
- Kay (2/5): - Desk receptionist very unfriendly. Rooms olds d very dated
- Cassie (10/5): - Loved the remodel !!!
- Ronda (10/5): - Fantastic stay.
- David (6/5): - To start with the bed mattress might be the original from the 1890s! Walked into the room and you could see how the mattress all flowed to the middle. Small room , small TV, door when locked has 1/2 in of movement when pulled on. Way over priced due to being in a tourist town. We would Never stay here again!
- 702stefanip (10/5): Gem of a hotel - This hotel is beautiful. It has recently been remodeled like an upscale hotel. The bathroom and shower are updated. The ice and soda machine are near by. The bed is comfortable. There is plenty of space to work remotely as well. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!
- Francisco (6/5): - Property is properly priced for the value.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location was perfect and reasonable.
Everything is within a few blocks
- donald (10/5): - Average small rooms bed comfortable was decent price location great
- Eydie (10/5): - At first we had a god-awful room. We went to the office and told them. We got a newly renovated room. What a difference. PLUS, it was in the perfect location right across the street from Tombstone (the old town). We’ll go again!!
- Justin (8/5): - Location very close and walkable to attractions. Safe and quiet. Property is old looking but mostly clean. Staff was friendly and courteous.
- Martina (10/5): - The property undergoes renovation but the new renovated room, is super nice and cozy. Great location.
- Heather (8/5): - Friendly staff, very clean rooms.
- Britney (10/5): - It was so close to Kate’s Palace, was very happy with this stay would definitely stay again. I’m only curious that they hopefully change the door combo every time when a new guest stays in the room. Rooms were very nice remodeled.
- Suzanne (2/5): - Roaches. They don't take the trash out of the rooms daily. Housekeeper claimed my check in time was midnight instead of after 2pm. I arrived at 430pm. I called at 11:30am to let them know in advance I will be there by 430pm and the room was still a mess from the previous people. They did not give me another room but they did clean it after I complained. Doors are not aligned to door frame and have issues locking. They are under renovation but this issue happened after renovation. They did respond fast at night when I got locked out twice. Only after I kept calling to get let into my room, they changed my room. Wifi cuts in and out. I never complain or leave reviews because it affects business but I never had so many issues with one place.
- Cheryl (8/5): - Convenient location, easy to walk to the town attractions. Rustic furnishings - room is clean.
- Karol (10/5): - The renovation of the rooms is great. Very cozy and comfortable. Loved the decor!! I can't wait to go back.
- James (10/5): Tombstone trip - Beautiful room, very spacious n newly remodeled. Close to everything you’d want to see in tombstone.
- Christine (10/5): - They are renovating the property. Our room was amazing!
- Raina (10/5): - Very impressed with my stay and loved the updates rooms. Will be back in December
- Dana (10/5): - The room was absolutely adorable! All the Tombstone touches made the room! Super comfy bed, easy parking, and close to all the activities! We will be staying there again!
- Jason (10/5): - No room to room noise. The bed was very comfy, check in was simple, destination was about one walkable minute away.
- Tori (10/5): - Thank you for upgrading our room. Its quite lovely and shows some cool history of the area.
- Robert (8/5): - Great location to Tombstone attractions.
- Mike (10/5): - Great remodel upgrade!
- Paula (8/5): Tombstone AZ - The motel is in the perfect location for walking distance to Allen Street. The rooms are newly remodeled and updated. Very clean. A microwave and mini fridge also in the room. Beds are very comfortable. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I will stay at this property on my next visit to Tombstone AZ.
- Gilles (6/5): - Was expecting something a little bit nicer. Not what we saw online. They had to switch us room because the AC was not working. They did this right away. We appreciated that.
- Juan (10/5): - Close to all the things you want to visit.
- charles (8/5): - A nice place to stay in center of Tombstone. I am happy I found it on Expedia.
- Andrea (10/5): - Room was clean and seemed newly renovated. Comfortable and quiet.
- linda (10/5): - They have upgraded the rooms with a western style. Very nice. I would not recommend the older ones get the upgrade. Quiet and walkable very convenient
- Amy (10/5): Wonderful - We loved the location and our room.
It was right across the street from allen street and we walked to all the attractions
Our room was newly renovated and was so nice. We loved our stay!
- Adrian (6/5): - When we stayed here, the rooms were about halfway through renovation. We got one of the old ones so I can't speak to what the renovated rooms are like. The location is great and the property is nice and quiet. The room showed its age but as a place to sleep and shower it was acceptable. We did request extra pillows as there were only two provided and they were very thin. The motel was accommodating, so would definitely stay again and would be curious to see how the renovated rooms are.
- carolyn (8/5): - Hotel room nice initial service interaction mechanical and hotel amenities mid renovations
- Chris (8/5): - Everything in walking distance.
- Joshua (10/5): - Amazing stay
- Catherine (10/5): Clean - It was a very nice clean room. Recently renovated and they did a great job. Perfectly fitting for a tombstone motel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The newly remodeled rooms were absolutely amazing decorated with old western charm and superior cleanliness. Front office was quick to respond to any requests and helpful. Will stay again. Don’t hesitate to stay here because if the surrounding properties.
- Verified traveler (2/5): A lot of little friends! - We had a reservation for two rooms, didn’t get a king size room, the rooms were not even close to the pictures! They were so dirty, with cockroaches, spiders, spiderwebs! The whole works! The air conditioner made only loud noise! We had never experienced such a horrible experience!!!!
- Adam (2/5): - Disgusting. The room is so nicely updated, but it is terribly terribly filthy. Hair on the beds, on the floor, in the sink, and the faucets looked like they’ve never been cleaned, dirty toilet, and the worst was the huge chunk of “brown” on my comforter. Not a stain, a fresh something. If the staff don’t make a change, it won’t be nice and new for long. I’d never stay here again.
- H53NUsusanf (10/5): Great place to stay - The motel room was so cute. It was very clean, bed very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. They are fixing up the outside and remodeling some of the rooms that have not been done. It is so close to all of the attractions and walking is super easy.
- Josh (10/5): - The renovations of the rooms are amazing and comfortable
- Becky (10/5): Would stay here again. - It was an excellent choice for a hotel. Easy to find, walking distance to Tombstone sites. Very quiet. Liked the decor of the room. A very nice recently updated room we received
- Glen (8/5): - Great location. Could have been cleaner but not enough to get upset about. They are doing some renovations so I’m thinking the room we stayed in would possibly be next. We also go upgraded to a king room
- Culture01976943147 (10/5): Excellent newly renovated motel - The Tombstone Motel was an excellent choice. Rooms have been renovated in the last 9 months by the new owner. So earlier reviews are no longer applicable. Bed was comfortable, room was quiet, floors, vanity, shower all were clean and in good shape. The fixtures are all nice and fits with area. Fresh paint, walls in excellent shape, etc. We enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend staying here.
- Vonda (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay. Even though there was construction going on, it was quiet.
Only complaint, the door to the bathroom squeaks and disturbs the one sleeping.
- Global35792964698 (10/5): Beautiful room. Great price. - We walked into the room expecting the usual cheap place to sleep. Nothing special. Were we wrong. The room is spacious, the lighting is unique to the theme of the area. The beds were fantastic. Extra pillows. Microwave, fridge. Walk in shower. Water pump style sink. No slam toilet lid. The decorations were perfectly fitted for the area. Clean. Bright. New floors. Carpets. The staff were great and friendly. The price was amazing. The balcony has seating to watch the sunset over the valley. Fully impressed with this place. Totally upgraded if the other review is real. Highly recommend the tombstone motel. Pictures included.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to stay in Tombstone - Room was amazing and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely stay here again.
- Argelia (10/5): - Front desk was really helpful and understanding
- Sean (10/5): Highly recommend - Absolutely stunning hotel two minutes walk from Main Street all new realy well furnished could have stayed longer
- anna (10/5): - Comfortable room and newly remodeled, east access to town
- Kimberly (10/5): - My go to motel for tombstone. Easy to walk across street to downtown
- Tabatha (10/5): Fun little place, walking distance was great! - We stayed in an updated room and it was beautiful and fun with all the nostalgia in there. the light with the poker stuff stuck on the celling was pretty cool. it was a fun place to stay and easy access to the "main Street" where everything is.
- Kandice (10/5): - This Motel in Tombstone is currently being updated and we stayed in an updated room. The room was so so adorable they’ve really done an amazing job!! Highly recommend and super walkable to all Tombstone sites!!
- Teresa (10/5): - The experience.
The room was remodeled
Very clean
Staff are amazing
- Terri (6/5): - It’s under remodel but they keep it very cleaned up bein under construction.. Really the only complaint would be house keeping needs to be stepped up, don’t leave dirty used towels hanging on back of door
- Jewel (10/5): - It's Tombstone quaint.
- James (10/5): Newly remodeled - My first room was rough. My second was newly remodeled. Very nice!
- Donald (10/5): - Nice budget motel. Our room had a great of the mountains to the north of Tombstone. A short walk from the historic area of Tombstone. Many rooms are being remodeled so it may be even nicer the next time we stay there.
- Debra (10/5): - This place was perfect for 4th of July
- Marisela (10/5): - Nice property walking distance to everything which was great we didn’t have to find parking. Only thing was we found a lot of cockroaches outside
- Andrea (10/5): - Super cute and quiet. Nice little rooms that were clean and very close to all the neat historic stuff I wanted to see, we could just walk everywhere we wanted! I will definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again.
- Mark (10/5): - Nice and quiet at night.
- Danette (2/5): - I would call this place the roach motel. We stayed in a room that had a window cooling unit and every 15 minutes it was so loud it sounded like an alarm went off. I told the office and their solution was to just move us. They never offered to comp us 1 night because we didn't get any sleep. The window unit had a huge gap to the outside that there were spiders and roaches in our room. The door had gaping areas at the top and bottom of the door. The room we were moved to was not much better. The door was the same. The bugs were the same. The mirror on the wall was screwed in and barely hanging on the wall. The screw was nearly out of the wall. The beds were so worn out when you sat on them you could feel the box spring. The sheets were dirty and blankets had holes in them. At night there were roaches everywhere, could hardly walk to our room. This place gets a negative 20 stars from me. When we told the office about the bugs and such their response was 'ok' nothing else. I am telling everyone not to stay here.
- Karen (4/5): - Dirty room, 5 fuzzy channels on tv, no fitted sheet on horrendous uncomfortable mattress, coffee maker didn’t work, moldy shower curtain. I could go on.
- Marie241 (2/5): Heading a list of weekend misadventure - I have no idea who scans a directory or Tombstone website and chooses this place. No one with any self-esteem would deliberately stay here. TripAdvisor could not locate it on the map and the Tombstone Chamber of Commerce does not recognize it by giving me any additional information. Without a doubt, the most expensive ($212) dump I have more or less rested in (I cannot say slept.) A traveler must pay for entire stay in advance. The rental agreement requires significant information and warns that additional fees may be charged to clean up vomit or if pets are sneaked into a room. The website does not connect, there is no WiFi. There is no phone, no amenities to report, with the exception of a sad little coffeepot I did not attempt to use. The room was shabby, and unclean and a contractor of some sort was called in to clean some of the rooms on the second evening of my stay. The shower works. Some of my friends left after the first night but I was kept so busy throughout the day that the prospect of finding other accommodations was dim. In any case, refunds were not likely. The locks on the door are vintage 1960s and questionable although the deadbolt was functional. Upon unlocking it with an old style key, I had to muscle the door open. The TV had one channel reception (FOX.) The AC unit worked but made quite a noise. Fortunately, I have curtain clothespins in my bag to keep them closed. The motel grounds are desert rustic, parking is available. Evidently, one of the main attractions is an open courtyard that can be used for outdoor gatherings. It is within a short walk of Allen St attractions in downtown Tombstone. In case I've not made myself clear, there are far better places to stay in Tombstone.
- RUBEN (6/5): - The location of this place is excellent. Walking distance to main attractions in Tombstone. However, the property needs mayor all around improvements. It seems they are reconstructing the premises. Once they finished, they need to work in their operations, too. They cut the water off during our stay and did not inform us. I cannot recommend this place as is now. For the cost there are plenty of better choices.
- Barb (10/5): - Easy and comfortable with the dogs .
- joseph (10/5): - Great location within 5 minute walking distance to all the attractions. Clean and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Bed was hard and lumpy. Pillows were the cheapest, worst quality that I’ve ever seen.
- Randy (4/5): - The AC unit in our room was not cooling the room down. We were not offered a different room nor were we offered a discount. We did get a fan. Our group comes down yearly for a friends gathering, this was our 25th year. It was more expensive, by a lot, than previous years. And the upkeep isn't great.
- Candi (4/5): - The room is very old and the carpet is very dirty. There was mold on the shower curtain. The bed was comfortable, and the water was hot. “Tombstone” is literally right across the street.
- Jeffrey (2/5): - No fridge and ice maker not functioning.
- justin (10/5): - Staff was very accommodating for our late arrival. Place was nothing fancy but the beds were comfortable, different types of pillows which i appriciated as a stomach sleeper. Id stay there again.
- Flora (6/5): Not many amenities - It was what you expect for the rate...although I did ask for a king and got a queen. Room was small...no fridge or microwave and no pool.. will try another hotel next time
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Bed was very bouncy so it was not very comfortable and made sleeping difficult, especially with 2 people in the bed. Our room had a pretty bad water leak - bathtub ran (not a drip - constant stream) the entire time. But I’m sure management is aware of this issue. But the location is excellent and everyone was super friendly!
- linda (6/5): Central Tombstone - The best thing about the motel is the location. 5 mins walk to the central streets of Tombstone. Plenty of parking and the building itself was photo worthy. The room was basic but comfortable. Only thing that surprised us was no cleaning / making up of rooms - so we arrived back after a long day only to find the beds still unmade and towels in a wet heap. Maybe we hadn’t read the small print but for the price we paid I would have expected this. New towels were given happily but we had to go and collect them. Would stay again - but mainly based on location.
- Bruce (6/5): - Unique and old school. A fun property for a short stay.
- Paul (4/5): - Older property, only had one bath towel for 2 guests. They said they were out. Couldn’t divert water to the shower head, because it was stuck and wouldn’t shift.
- Bea (8/5): - all but one thing was good.
Shower/faucet not working properly. needs to be replaced and fixed. water runs from both shower head and bath faucet at the same time with high water pressure coming from bath faucet instead of shower head.
- Nicole (6/5): - It was very close to Tombstone
- Frank (10/5): Great family motel - The office employees were amazing, they were very helpful. The bed was amazing, my kids said they slept so well
- Erik (10/5): - Friendly staff
- Mark (6/5): Moderate and close to Allen street - New owner renovating hotel. Clean & functional. The ice machine is broken, and there is no microwave or small fridge in the rooms.
- Tanya (4/5): Filthy for the price - The room wasn’t at all worth the price we paid. Blanket was dirty & stained, carpet dirty, cob webs on light fixtures, trash under bed and a sink that dripped. We had two towels and NO washcloths.
- Susan (4/5): - Liked where it was located but no ice machine working, coffee pot broken, no chair to sit in, just bed...
- Kelly (10/5): Nice getaway - The guy checking me in was rather bland, but the room made up for it! I was disappointed no fridge or microwave, but room was comfy and had many pillows of good quality!
- melissa (4/5): - I looked at previous reviews and decided to book. But was not impressed with the rooms at all. They are conveniently located, but that was about the only plus. Rooms were really dirty. Beds were either really hard, or bouncy and every little move, moved the entire bed. Lights didn’t work. Shower didn’t work…the place was just pretty run down and needed a lot of TLC. Staff was very friendly and let us cancel our last night there, which we were very appreciative of. So I will mark them higher for great staff and service.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Sleeping front desk person - When i walked in to check in the guy at the front desk was out cold aka asleep .
The room was ok the TV only had 5 channels and one was crappie picture .
The internet was horrible.
The bed was nice .
The last time i stayed here it was a good experience. But this time wasn't the best .
