• Bethany (9/5): Super-clean vintage motel with Dr - Spotless. This was my main concern, but even the bathroom was 100% clean. Our room had a trace of must smell, but I've noticed this even in nice hotels, and it might just have been me. It quickly faded into the background. Good temperature control. Decent parking. Firm beds and pillows, two per bed. If you like more or softer pillows, perhaps bring your own. Nice furniture. Table was quite small and only two chairs. Room a bit small too, add it's an older motel. From the 50s or 60s I'm sure. Totally adequate for our needs. Recommend if you're happy with the price. $105 per night turned into $130 with tax.

• John (8/5): It's just what I needed without paying for a high priced room. - The room was nice and clean, about what I expected. I really enjoyed the nice shower, and the bath has been remodeled. I've stayed here before and may do again. Nothing to report. Microwave worked, not sure about the fridge, it may have been unplugged.

• Keith (7/5): - The price was reasonable and not to far from downtown Pittsburgh. About 15-20 minutes drive depending on traffic. Lots of places to eat nearby and grocery store. We spent Saturday night at the Monkey bar watching the World Series game 7. Just two doors down from the hotel. I like everything about it. Nothing negative to say.
• Sean (8/5): I overall enjoyed my stay at this motel. I would stay here again in the future. - The Motel is in a good area and right next to a Vocelli Pizza. I highly recommend to order from there when staying here. Need better and/or more pillows for the beds. Bed mattresses on the firm side for those who like it that way.

• Bruce (6/5): Some good some less so. - Despite being close to the road it was very quiet. The staff were polite and friendly. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The room had two beds and one had a very small gap at the end to allow access to the bathroom. There was a slight lip into the bathroom which could have been a trip hazard. A cover along the wall at floor level had fallen off to reveal the pipes that were inside.

• Anthony (4/5): South hills motel Terrible experience - It's close to a lot of restaurants was also close to my family's house for which I was going up there to see There were cigarette Burns on the comforters. There was bugs in the bathtub. There was no Wi-Fi. The cable was very limited and very outdated. The woman there was very nice and friendly and helpful, but the man was very ignorant and yelled at my fiance about a roll of toilet paper, which when we came in a room there was only not even a half on the roll. It's truly unacceptable and I really wouldn't recommend too many people go there to give them their business to pay almost $350 to stay somewhere. There are certain things that should be in a hotel room in 2025 and anybody owning a business like that should learn how to talk to their customers and treat them with the respect that they deserve. I know personally me and my fiance will never be going to back. The way he screamed at her about the toilet paper basically ruined one of our nights and had he done that to me. I might have ended up in jail because again there's just certain things you shouldn't do and you should appreciate the people that's coming to your property thank you and please put this on booking.com so that others can see and be wary of what we had to deal with and can decide for themselves if they want to deal with that

• Mary (10/5): Great motel easy access to Pittsburgh area. - The location was great. Front Desk clerk was very accommodating and pleasant. The room was clean a good value. We arrived after a long drive and the desk clesrk allowed us to check two hours before out scheduled check in time which was grestly appreciated.🙏 Location and cleanliness.

• Thomas (8/5): Nice stay! - I had never seen a property with so many stellar reviews! I was skeptical but they are spot on. Great price, very clean and quiet room. If you're looking for bells & whistles you won't find them. The only thing that turned me off is the obligatory armchair in the room should have been discarded years ago.
• Ani R (6/5): Decent place to stay for one night, but won't come back - We got to our room late on a warm summer night, and the room was too warm and I was afraid that we wouldn't be able to cool it down before we went to bed. But after turning the HVAC on and setting it to the desired temperature (68F), we were pleasantly surprised that the HVAC cooled it down pretty quickly, within half an hour or 45 mins. It also did a great job of maintaining the temperature through the night. There were enough regular outlets and one USB outlet by the bed. The location is close to a strip mall and a McDonalds. The room was also nice and quiet, the bed was comfortable. It was actually a room with one King bed, not 2 doubles (we opted for that on check-in). The fridge was turned off, glad we realized it before we went to bed and found the temperature control on the back of the fridge. No soap or shampoo dispensers in the bathroom. The motel is located 20+ mins from the Greenfield/Shadyside area, which was somewhat inconvenient for us. We had booked 2 nights - Friday night and Sunday night because we were supposed to take a trip with our daughter (who lives in Pitt) and get back Sunday night. However, that trip got canceled, and we requested a free cancellation of our second night more than 24 hours in advance. Never heard back even though I sent 2 messages in the Booking.com app.

And most importantly a primanti bros .3 miles from it too. Was a 30 - 40 minute drive to Pitt university I would stay again if I ever needed to visit Pittsburgh again

• Adrian (10/5): An excellent stay! - The staff were very friendly and made very polite conversation with us - this makes a difference in a world where customer service seems to be failing a lot. The rooms are older but clean and comfortable for the night. We also liked how the property has an enclosed parking area which makes it feel more private and safe. The beds were very comfy and we enjoyed a peaceful night with no interruption. Will return of we need an option in the area. Some of the decor and bedding is very dated. Also in 2025 it might be nice to have a slightly improved TV with a better picture.

You can only get ice 2 times a day. Cigarette burns in bedspreads. Bathroom has no vents. Housekeeping knocks expectionally loud. Watch every time you come n go. Make up prices as they see fit. Not worth the money I paid, which was way too expensive for bad service all around.

AC unit is mounted right above a bed and very loud, woke us up every time it kicked on and couldnt hear the tv over it. Shower was very low pressure because the water was still coming out of the bath faucet after lifting the pin for the shower.

• Patrick (4/5): Disappointing - Wasn't there long. The room smelt very musky and didn't go away once ac was on. The room was extremely hot and didn't cool down very well. Spiders in tub ( no big deal for us but some people it maybe.) So we decided after a few hours after we were in the room a.d it not cooling off that we would just continue with our drive. On the web site said it would be fine for 4 people. That room was so small and very uncomfortable.
• Bobbi (8/5): Hotel room was very clean and nice although basic. Location was good. - This is an older hotel that is very well maintained. The rooms are spacious and clean. Location is great with all kinds of restaurants on the same street. This is a basic hotel but if you just want a clean room to sleep in at a good price then this is it. A small coffee maker in the room would be a nice addition. My husband wanted extra pillows but there were none available the first night, but he did get one the second night.
• Vladimir (8/5): Good value; will definitely stay again. - It is a simple yet nice and clean facility. I have nothing to complain about. The air conditioner remote control didn't work, but that was really a very minor issue.
