Guest Reviews
- Brad (2/5): Horrible - The motel closed down shut down by the government two properties I get kicked out of here. Unbelievable. The most outrageous thing ever as well. So unacceptable
- Nancy (2/5): - Nasty, OMG , All I can say is Pay More or just stay home.
- Nahani (2/5): - I’m saying terrible and giving them one star just because they don’t have an option to give them zero is the worst place that I ever been in my life when I had a guy there they didn’t even have a room that it has he or I had to wait for the guy for the front desk to go get a heater from another room And the heater didn’t work so I had to leave
- Steven (10/5): - Was very satisfying
- Margarita (4/5): - No hay nadie en recepción cuando uno llega al hotel esperamos casi 20 minutos para que nos dieran la llave y eso que ise la reserva en línea creo que pueden mejorar eso
- Missy (2/5): - Left early when bed bugs were found
- Mark (10/5): - Manager and maid are outstanding customer service 👌
- lexi (4/5): - Dirty. Bunch of holes in the walls. Yuck
- Mark (10/5): - Outstanding customer service!! Outstanding maid!!no bugs no worries i will definitely be back
- Mariana (2/5): - Terrible
- Peggy (2/5): - The hotel door to our room was just locked with a button on the very wobbly doorknob. Anyone could push it open. I pushed a rusty tilted office chair under the knob. Only one key (not a card). There is a liquor store directly across the street The hotel was extremely old and needs a complete makeover. Only one table lamp and a small light over the oven for the entire room. A cabinet door was missing. One star ⭐️ overall is being generous. Not recommended unless you are totally desperate like we were. Only good thing about La Fonta is that you can walk to the boardwalk, this one star.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Typical seaside heights crack motel - So i get there. And they tell me theres a $100 deposit that wasnt mentioned amywhere online when i booked the room. Then they tell me that theyre full and are sensing me down the atreet to the cloud 9 inn. Oh okay. Great. Still has a pool and i dont have much of a choice bc it was nonrefundable.
The dude at the front desk was nice but thats about it. The room had ants, looked like it hadnt truly been cleaned/mopped it god knows how long. Bathtub had mildew and drain was clogged. The door to the room didnt shut right. Overall it was looking like the typical seqside crack motel. I have to say though, the comforter and sheets were suprisngly clean looking and smelling.
- Michael (8/5): - Shelley was a gr8 help n changing rooms bc cable wasn't working...
- Susan (2/5): - Only stayed 1 out of 2 days because hotel was absolutely filthy and disgusting. Tried to get money back for 2nd day but they would not do it. Air conditioner was caked with mold and dust and room smelled badly.
- Daniel (10/5): - We've been coming here to this same motel for 3 years in a row, my kids love the pool there and its close to the waterpark/amusement park boardwalk and beach. We'll be back next year!
- Anthony (2/5): - If there was a lower grade I’d give it as we arrived late, took almost 20 min to wake up staff to open. The second we walked in the smelly unsafe room, we decided to stay in our cars realizing any other room would be same if not worse.
- Teresa (8/5): - We didn't actually stay in this hotel we were moved to another hotel that they owned Cloud 9. Not sure why? But it was fine.
- Danielle (6/5): - Clean (needs updating) friendly helpful staff..great location.
- David (10/5): - AMAZING STAY. Great room super clean.
close to beach
super friendly staff
- Denis (8/5): - Motel has a lot of potential for it size and setup having a nice mini kitchen with a full size refrigerator and plenty counter space. They still have a problem with the upkeep in the cleaning department of not wiping down furniture and appliances. Overall it's ok and will return but with my own cleaning supplies.
- Amanda (10/5): - Best stay ever
- Cary (10/5): - Nice people work there.
- Tom (2/5): - When I saw buildings of motel are very terrible and disgusting I change my mind not stay I found other place motel I w@nt sent my money back
- Tonya (6/5): Good location & price - This place is adequate for a night or two. Do not expect a 5 star motel.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. We were able to have the pooch for a $20/night fee. It's close to the boardwalk and other attractions.
The motel could use some updates but it worked for us.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Rooms were not the best bed frame was broken the 2nd level stairs was good just the walk way to the rooms were weak feeling the only best things were the ac was amazing and very close to the boardwalk
- Aneuri (2/5): - I don't like to leave bad reviews but this one is well deserved. If you are looking for to stay I don't recommend this place. Not that cleaned and bad service. I had to leave this place 3 hr after check in, staff promised a refund, after days of waiting called the motel to ask explain my case again and I assume the manager told me that I will not get a refund. Don't waste or lose your money here.
- Yazlyn (2/5): - Nothing. Smelled like a full ashtray. And found few bedbugs!
- Ryan (2/5): - This the worst "motel" experience of my entire life.. I drove 2 and a 1/2 hours to arrive at this motel, and booked it hours in advance and received confirmation on the room, for them to tell me that the hotel was fully booked and overbooked, And that they did not even have a room for me. They then proceeded to go get the manager of the property who was not even wearing shoes and was not listening to the fact that I already had a reservation booked, He made a few phone calls and put me in another motel that they own called the flamingo inn, i also then had to PAY OVERNIGHT PARKING ON THE STREET DUE TO LACK OF SPOTS AT THE MOTEL. Motel was disgusting, we wouldnt even shower for the 2 nights we were there because of how dirty it was. There's even holes in the staircase to get to the upstairs rooms. Dirty, unreliable, and unbearable motel and overall experience.
- Kiara (2/5): - Service was horrible, room was Philthy I had to clean it myself, room basically falling apart, piss stains, nasty sheets/ blankets, curtains were falling, host disturbed us for maintenance issues, I had the worst experience EVER!!!
- Kyle (4/5): - First impression of this place was bad. The outside of the hotel was dingy looking. When I got inside of the office, I already had an impression of what the hotel room was going to look like. It was smelly and dirty and they had a broken, dirty AC just sitting there in a chair. Our room was also smelly and it looked like there was barely an attempt at cleaning it. When I turned the bathtub faucet on, it just flew right off. I get that the price is a “deal” compared to the other motels in the area, but there’s NO WAY this motel is worth $170 a night. Never again.
- Saleen (4/5): - You get what you pay for.
- Lori (2/5): - The motel room was dirty, smelled like mold and mildew and was so bad I left shortly after I checked in. There was no way anyone could stay there. The outdoor pool was not useable and it was filthy. It was the worst hotel/motel experience I ever had.
- Jason (2/5): - Sheets and the room was dirty. Asked staff to change the sheets they did so without question came with new sheets from the wash and still had stains on them. Cigarette burns on the mattresses. Mold in what I’m assuming was a closet but was just a hole in the wall with a sliding door and random junk thrown in. Refrigerator was rusting and paint chipping away. The shower was absolutely disgusting mold and rust all over the shower head. I wouldn’t stay here ever my friends and I were told they do not give refunds we just said our health and comfort is worth more then what we spent to sleep for the night and left…
- Yanily (2/5): - Worst motel I’ve ever been too apart from burning down almost they didn’t know what to do with us at 2am of the morning
- Julius (2/5): - Had fire damage and was never contacted about moving or anything. Place was covered in soot and surrounded by caution tape!!
- Alissia (2/5): - Absolutely disgusting! Filthy room. Old and outdated I can handle. But this place was so gross! Moldy shower, extremely dirty toilet, sheets were soiled and stained. Room smelled like stale smoke, mold and urine. Under bathroom sink was some sort of critter droppings. Police activity during the day while we were checking in. At check in we could see a room behind the counter with piles of dirty towels and linens on the floor. The person "cleaning" and preparing our rooms was about 16 and had no new linens. He literally just remade the bed with the same sheets from previous guest! Honestly this place is a health hazard and completely unsafe. We got out of there asap. Expedia should be ashamed to partner with this place!
- Jeannette (8/5): - Was very quiet and relaxing. Was very pleased
- Michael (6/5): - It is Seaside Heights so this is a motel not a hotel. It is old as many of them are. Being this is not one of the bigger motels such as the Aztec or Colony it is defiantly old and can use some renovations. However if you need a night or two and super convenient it is fine. The room was clean. Keep in mind the motel is dated so it can look not as clean as it is because the bathrooms are old. What makes me give it an ok review is the older couple that owns the hotel. They are as nice as can be and very accommodating. If they are not in the office later in the day or at night they have their cell phone numbers and you can call them anytime. We stayed for one night at a beach tournament. If is less than two blocks from the boardwalk and right near the casino pier. You don't have to worry about parking and you have a place to shower, and get ready after the beach. It is no frills basic but doable. The AC worked well and the room did have big porcelain tile floor so it was decent. You will not confused a brand new Holiday Inn but I would stay again for a night if we did not want to drive after a team party or if we were staying late.
- scott (6/5): - It was cheaper than other motels and quiet
- Louisa (10/5): - Had a great time.
- jenny (4/5): - Need to be updated and remodeling
- Michael (2/5): - absolutely disgusting. i'm perplexed as to how they have a c/o considering their were no smoke detectors.
- Maribel (2/5): - The place look a crime scene; dirty, dilapidated, nothing like the photos on your website.
- raymond (2/5): - The window and doors didnt even lock the bathroom door wouldnt even stay shut. Too much to list really but the door and window were the worst part i couldnt even leave anything in my room. The place should be demolished to be fair.
- Joseph (6/5): - The woman that checked us in was hysterical and def loved her , but the place itself is disgusting. Yet u get what u pay for
- Kristi (6/5): - Walking distance to everything
- Verified traveler (6/5): Typical Seaside Heights motel - Typical dive Seaside Heights motel. Walls had spackling on them, Look like there might have been holes. Only one lock on the door knob, No extra security no Working dead bolt and no chain lock. Microwave was rust it inside and not working. Dish TV worked. Lady at desk puts up with a lot of crap from less desirable patrons, so be nice to her, she is doing her job. It's not her fault the condition of the property is not great. She provided clean towels. In this situation you get what you pay for $66 including taxes. I couldn't find any heat source, there was a air conditioner in the wall and it was covered with dirty dust. I had my own blankets but it was pretty cold. Bottom line, i had my dog n 2 birds with me and just needed quick cheap place.
- TIMOTHY (4/5): - Good price. But you get what you pay for. The facility is in major disrepair.
The desk person was absolutely miserable.
It seemed like the other guests were section 8 or previously homeless.
This type of information should be made available to consumers prior to booking.
- Mark (4/5): - Never showed up,CANCELED
- Verified traveler (2/5): Low price place, but you get what you pay for - I'm pretty sure the room was not cleaned before I arrived. There were screws on the ground from some fixtures that had been broken and not fixed. I didn't dare use the shower (see pics). There was an old bandaid and a q-tip covered in rust in the track of the shower door. I have no idea how long they've been there, but it is clearly a while. The desk was covered with debris, I think someone cut a cardboard box on it (I know it wasn't even wiped by hand as a result). The sink drain piping was so bad most of the drain water would puddle on the floor when I tried to brush my teeth. The rust on the front door is so bad that a small rat or mouse could easily fit through the holes. The price was cheap, but be warned.
- veronica (6/5): - The lady that answers the phone for the front is super rude. For $60 the night definitely get what you paid for, very plain and simple. Probably would never stay there again.
- Samantha (10/5): - I have been staying there whenever I travel to Seaside. I never had any issues.
- Jeanette (2/5): - I liked the location, it was close to everything. However the rooms smelled like an ashtray, they are drab, dingy and rundown. There are cigarette burns everywhere even on the sheets. The shower had hair hanging on the walls. My brothers room had bedbugs and had to be charged 2x. The tv didn’t work. It sucked.
- Meghan (2/5): - This hotel was absolutely disgusting. From the smell of old and new cigarette smoke when we walked in the room, there was no towels no hand soap and the flusher was broken off of the toilet. I was horrified when I stripped the beds because I brought my own sheets. I would never stay here again
- Frances (2/5): - This property is disgusting. Not worth a penny. The bathroom was filthy the tub was so dirty we had to wear sandals when we showered. The tv didn’t work the mattress was old and dirty. The door had a cheap lock and the window curtains barley closed. Had no choice to stay there due to there not being any other places with available rooms and being affordable. It was 4 people and we only got 2 towels. The sink stop was jammed so we couldn’t use it.
- mary (8/5): basic bare bones but suffecient -
Room was surprisingly spacious, was not expecting microve or refrigerator and they were there. there was no closet but there were drawers. An actual window air condtoning unit and we had complete control of tempeture. We were happy and it was least expensive we could find on such short notice. It is good to know that cost is same, so book direct wih hotel and make sure you dont get charged for trarvel insurance
- Alicia (8/5): - Nice for the price
- SHEREEN (2/5): - Room was not ready for check in until after 4pm, there was no rv or cable box in the room, there was nowhere to hang up your clothes or towels, the microwave and refrigerator were dirty as well as the room, there was no iron, when they finally bought a tv in from another room the cable didnt work, we were lied to and told there was an outage..we called optimum and it was a lie there was no outage in the area..my husband had to fix the cable box himself and we didnt get to see tv until 10pm at night..The manager and staff looked like they were on drugs and unprofessional..When I inquired about an iron one of the staff told me this is a motel and not the Holiday Inn..The motel felt like it was a crack house and didnt have some of the amenities that are listed..The room also stunk like it was old and musty..By far the worst place I have ever stayed in..I know its seaside and a lot of the hotel/motels are out dated but this was beyond run down and dirty..overall vibe was scary and creepy..Dont waste your money here and if you do, bring your own sheets, covers and towels..I had to buy all of these things plus an iron because they said they never had one even though its listed in the amenities..The list goes on but im getting upset all over again just thinking about everything..I cant make any of this up- Believe Me!! I was there from July 2-5 2022 at $200 a night because of July 4th weekend..They got me good for my money..dont let this happen to you.
- Noemi (2/5): - They sent us to a different hotel bed was all side ways and honestly extremely dirty the shower wasn’t clean and it was smelly
- Jonathan (8/5): Good price nothing fancy - No frills hotel
You get what you pay for
Not a bad stay
The pool was nice
Walking distance to everything
- Allison (10/5): - The ammenties provided and the staff were cery humble and welcoming. Myrtle was the best, very helpful and warming at a off time to check in. Helped us find s safe room when we came at 3am looking for a safe room when our original was unsafe and dirty.
- Tara (2/5): - First- we did not stay at the hotel- we had to go to the Flamingo Inn.
The owner called and said no rooms- so go there.
No locks on the doors, beds unmade, no soap. Given towels that they slept on b/c to late to drive. We’re afraid to sleep- so one person stayed up and watched the door so no one came in and put the other bed in front of the door for safety.
The dead bolt had a key only the owner had. Sheets were in a big heap in the bed.
A very scary situation for young travelers- this should NEVER be an option on a reputable website like yours.
Thank God nothing happened.
- Christopher (2/5): - Ter blood stains on sheets Very dirty
- eduard (2/5): - Disgusting , very bad .
- Kittrina (2/5): Horrible - It was dirty office and the room was worse and now they won't give me my money back and I didn't even stay one night I stay couple hours and left.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This place is absolutley disgusting. there were 2 broken tvs in the room, cigarette buts beind the nightstand, just all around gross.
- Robert (2/5): Don’t do it. - Complete dump. Filthy dirty. Stained sheets something leaking from ceiling on bed exposed wires cracked moving tiles on floor toilet stuffed up. I would never go to this dump again. The lady running is really nice put its like a crack house.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - First extremely filthy, no curtains on the windows, a small lamp light with no shade. Food left in the drawers. Carpet not even attempted to be cleaned. Overall horrible room for the money.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I don’t usually write reviews but I must do this. Toilets wouldn’t flush. The whole room looked like it hadn’t been clean in months. Shower was full of hair upon arrival. It was an unpleasant stay. By far the worst hotel I’ve stayed at during my many trips to seaside.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This place is horrendous. I get the price is because it’s a 2m walk from the beach but they really need to reevaluate themselves. Our AC didn’t work, we had flies, spiders crawling out from under the bed, the door didn’t close or lock correctly bc there was a half inch gap between the door and the frame, curtains were literally just comforters thrown on a curtain rod, shower was clogged, floors were sticky and dirty, microwave was nasty and didn’t work, fridge was dirty, sheets had cigarette burns in them and stains, stains on the walls, quite literally anything that could be wrong with that room was. We figured it would just be fine to shower and sleep there but it was NOT.
- Gladys (10/5): Thank u for your kindness - Lady was very nice she made it a pleasure to stay
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It’s a very run down motel. You get what you pay for I guess. I couldn’t even stay the whole night because the condition of the room was horrific. Bugs and cobwebs everywhere, mold in shower, just very run down and dirty. The mattress does not have mattress protecters so you can only imagine what has seeped down into the mattress you’re sleeping on. The pool is very small, I’ve seen bathtubs bigger than this. The lady at the office is so so sweet but I’m a bit picky of where I lay my head so I was unable to stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Was a stranger places
- Tommy (2/5): - We checked in at 10pm and the property manager was completely asleep. After he finally awoke we got our room. It was disgusting and smelled like urine and vomit. Dirty bed sheets and blankets piled outside and trash left everywhere.
- Natalie (2/5): - I checked in at 5:00 and there was no pillows and there was spackle all over the walls and no tv or internet. It smaller horrible and we ended up leaving
