- Patrick (10/5): - Everything about the property, the views and staff were perfect. The river was stunning and dozens of Canada geese swimming down it made it magical. The drive around the are was equally stunning and the leaves were changing colors which topped everything off. Would definitely stay again.

- John (10/5): New England Fall Tour - We stayed in one of the refurbished rooms and it was very nice. Very clean. A short walk across the backyard and you can stand at the river edge and relax.

- Jennifer (10/5): - We came a weekend away, and had a great time. Check in was easy, the room was great, it was nice to have the fridge and microwave. I also enjoyed the large bath tub. Grocery store close by, close to New Milford downtown. We also enjoyed the Hausatonic Brewery nearby. We had some issues with the TV when we arrived but the lady at the front desk was super helpful and came by right away to address the issue.
- charles (8/5): Technical Difficulties - The room was nice and large and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom could use a few more hooks or places to hang towels. The shower floor is kind of slippery and there are no bars to grab. We kept having problems with our TV. Someone would have to come in and fix it every time we turned it on. I would have to walk over to the office because the phone didn't work. It was a pain. There were two of us staying in the room and the coffee maker is a Keurig. Only two pods were there and I asked for eight more as we were staying two nights, three mornings. The woman at the desk reluctantly gave them to me, She kept looking at me like I was going to steal them. The wifi connection was nice and strong. It would be nice if there was more then one chair in the room.

- Dennis (8/5): - Great for an overnight stay to get a good night’s sleep. I couldn’t figure out how the TV worked however. It was overly complicated, didn’t respond to the remote, so I finally gave up.

We got back to the hotel at 1:00am and the key card stopped working had to walk to the office and continuously call and ring the bell to get some one to open the room door for us.

Found a number to call to let them know and was given a disconnected number. Rooms were nice and took forever to get hot water

- Susan L (10/5): No rocks in Rocky River Inn - I got to Rocky River Inn after a long and stressful day and found a heavenly haven! The Inn is set way back from the street so there is no traffic noise. The room was absolutely IMMACULATE!! The bed was extremely comfortable! The sheets were soft and looked brand new! The bathroom was very well laid out with a great walk in shower! There were plenty of Aveda toiletries! There was a fridge and a microwave! I would LOVE to stay there again and rate it a 10 out of 10. It is also extremely moderate in price, so extraordianarily high value.

The room (129) must have been far away from the wifi router because the connection was weak and would keep disconnecting. I liked that there were snack and drinks in the lobby and the drinks were super cold. The automatic curtains in the room were also very cool. The desk could use a lamp.

- Ellen (8/5): Pleasant surprise - We stayed in a block of rooms for a family wedding in the area. I was pleasantly surprised by the rooms, which are newly remodeled. The mattress was super comfortable. TVs are huge. The only thing I would recommend, which I feel is very important, is the safety in the bathroom. They need to get grip bars and no-slip mats for the shower. I would stay again.

Being newly renovated I did find the toilet in the bathroom was loose and rocked slightly but I was able to tighten the nuts on the hold down bolts. The outside doesn't look like much but, the rooms we were given had been completely renovated. Best part was the big picturesque window that looked out to a beautiful green space and river.

- Kenneth (8/5): Cold water - The room was well appointed, had the king suite, bedding was excellent and there was even maid service during the day while I was out. But there was the shower water controls, cold was hot and hot was cold. I had to be patient and figure this out, otherwise it would have been a cold shower but that wasn’t happening. They need to look into that. Otherwise quite and comfortable, I would stay again.

I spread the hotel by word of mouth and i would say about 5 different friends add this place to thier definate stays anytime we are going fishing or stopping by elephants trunk flea market in Connecticut.

It was a short drive to several surrounding towns. Lots of restaurants in the area and several delivery options. Great, economical choice as a home base if you need a place in the area (we were attending a multi-day conference).

- Kathleen (8/5): Overnight adventure - My daughter and I were on an overnight adventure and this place was just right! We didn’t spend a ton of time in the room but we enjoyed the room, view, and (huge) TV. I imagine it’s an even nicer spot in the summer, overlooking the river.
- GREG (6/5): - There was motel repair working going on at 8am. Was up already, but this is the type of place this is. Also, checking in the attendant was not clear on billing details from Expedia.
- Justine (8/5): Great value for the price! - No frills, but clean and quiet (except for someone banging on a door nearby at 7:45 AM after we had a late night...gotta love that) and the check-in was fast and friendly. Not much nearby but a beautiful river view out the window. Downsides were the water in the bathroom took a while to get hot and the tub faucet dripped. Also the mattress was a bit too firm and pillows were not all that comfy (bring your own). All in all, would stay here again.

- Yoriko (10/5): - I hiked around in Kent and I used this place as my base. I stayed in Deluxe King and the bathroom was amazing! It was with marble walls, had a large tub with jacuzzi, and the separate shower. I was pampered and it was so nice after ling hikes. The bed was very comfortable and I got lucky not to have anybody next doors. Very quiet and peaceful stay.

- Alexa (8/5): - I have stayed at Rocky River three times. This last time we stayed in a suite due to lack of availability of any other rooms. This particular room suffered from stained rugs. Sad that previous people who stayed here were this careless. The owners seem to be a caring family and I expect tried unsuccessfully to clean the rugs. Time to replace them if they can't be cleaned because it really detracted from the room. Our other two stays in a different room have been five stars.
