Guest Reviews
- Hugh (6/5): Bed, chair, table, sink. Easy parking. - This is a Public bar with an upstairs accommodation area. The rooms are basic along with the communal areas. Privacy is very limited as rooms have open slats above doors for needed ventilation. Generous balcony joins most rooms, nice for big groups of friends staying together. Up high so nice views.
- Reg (6/5): - Accommodation OK but not pleased with our meal. Fish not properly cooked and mash dry and uninviting.
- paul (8/5): - it was a good spot for me
- Russell (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay as it was a reasonable cost, comfortable and had a good atmosphere.
- Adriaan (2/5): No return!! - Shower facilities poor, plumbing in room grubby , furniture not appealing, and look grubby, no soap in ladies toilets.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not quite what I had booked. - Not the fault of the hotel. When I arrived to check in there was no record of my booking. The staff went out of their way to find a room as every other accommodation venue in the town was booked out. Just as well I only needed a bed to fall into after doing overtime at work; somewhere to stay in case I was called back.
- don (6/5): - Nice hotel. Good vslue for money.
But please turn off some of the hotel lights, especially with such see through curtains.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Budget Room - Central position for a work visit. I have stayed many years ago - had a reputation for Best Steak ever Food was Great!
Room though a little disappointing
Clean but unloved
My curtains had about 1/10 of the rings connected Would not take much to present as cared for rather than unloved
- john (2/5): - Rooms too pokie hardly room for a bed, the exit light shone through the top of the door all night the sink in the toilets looks it hadn't been cleaned for years , we left at daybreak without having a shower or breakfast
- Peter (10/5): - It was only two nights but would of loved to stay longer. Everything was really nice and lovely. Definitely will stay there again and again. So close to everything it was great as I don't drive. Happy to tell everyone about it.
- Hugo (6/5): Heritage Hotel too noisy at night. - My friend and I stayed for two nights but we were both woken up in the early morning
- Verified traveler (2/5): - uncomfortable bedding and very hot only one power point in the room to run a fan off and charge ur phone
- Verified traveler (6/5): You pay for what you get. - The hotel itself is in a good location- close to shops and food choices. It's cheap and that's why I stayed here for work.
Unfortunately it needs a major renovation- paint is peeling off the walls upstairs, if you room is located to the left of the stairs, you will hear the pokies till late at night.
Staff rudely woke me up at 6:30am complaining to each other about the state of the mens toilets.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointing - We booked on lastminute.com but when we arrived there was no record of our booking. We were told, oh, she musn't have looked at it for a couple of days. Anyway, room was allocated with a choice of access to the balcony. The bedding was clean as were the towels, but the room needed a dust, we could write in the dust on top of the bedside drawers. The Gent's bathroom/toilet was grubby and is in desperate need of some work.
We have stayed here before some years ago, but the standard appears to have dropped a bit.
- mahalia (2/5): Tiny and old - Cancelled, didn't want to stay there couldn't get a refund, noisy, no tv and facilities are not private at all. couldn't sleep there doors are constantly slamming and the room was tiny.
- Gary (8/5): - Good location close to town. Friendly service and good atmosphere in the pub.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Okay hotel would not go there again - Hotel was okay. Noisy, but it was Saturday. Also noisy in the morning, vacuum cleaning at 7 am.
Not super clean but okay.
Service not very friendly. Weird atmosphere.
- klaus (8/5): Great place to stay for a night in town - Been there 3 times now. Great place with charm. My room could do with a bit of attention as curtains did not work and glass pane in French doors was broken. Showers and toilets very clean. Good bed in my room. Friendly and helpful staff. I'll come again.
- Peter (2/5): Don't expect To Sleep at This Place. - There was no expectation that a Hotel Room in an old hotel would be anything different to what I found except for the fact that the room faced the mail balcony at the front of the hotel all the lights along the balcony were left on all night and the curtains in the room were as thin as rice paper It was like trying to sleep at Luna Park. I found myself putting a blanket up at the window at 1am in the morning trying to block out some light. Above the door to the room were slats and just outside the door was the emergency lighting. So that was shinning in the room as well. I spoke to a person in the morning who identified herself as the manager about my nights experience. She said she had never been upstairs in the night so she was not aware of the problem. She also said that the owners would not be interested in the issue as most people are just passing through and don't come back anyway. DON;T STAY AT THIS PLACE. YOUR WASTING YOUR MONEY ITS TERRIBLE.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok hotel but room was very hot needs fans. - Needs extra pillows and the lighting needs to be turned off at night on the deck. The room was like daylight all nights. Needs fans as well.
