• Stuart (8/5): Decent overnight stay in a central location. - Nice room, bed and bathroom. Bar and breakfast area were basic but did the job. All the staff were very friendly. The car park isn't sign posted very well and I missed it. The hotel is a has a very strange lay out. My room was on the 2nd floor and I had to get two separate lifts and walk along 2 corridors.

• Werner (9/5): - The staff team did an exceptional job of making us comfortable upon arrival. The room was clean and also the breakfast was exceptional despite it being standard breakfast items. The Wi-Fi signal during our stay was not very good. It kept dropping every few minutes. This issue was not raised to the staff at the hotel. Also, the parking was rather difficult to find. However, the front desk was very supportive with instructions.

• Mrs M (6/5): - Good parking, with a reasonable cost for 24hrs and direct access to the hotel. Excellent location. Very clean. Good value breakfast considering it is included in the price. Whole cost and experience was acceptable with a couple of niggles. Smiley breakfast staff. Very good shower. Once someone has gained access to the hotel, the security seems quite low. Lifts do not need cards, corridor doors to stairs open without card. Staff did not make directions to carpark completely clear. 'First left and left again' takes you into an internal deadend. Receptionist on checking in was inclined to disagree with her customer - not entirely professional! The room had a tiresome intermittent ticking noise. It sounded like a drain (but wasn't) The room became far too hot overnight. Thermostat had been put up to 29 which I did not realise on first arriving. At that point the room seemed fine.

The room was very good and I had a good view of the Square, the choices for breakfast were excellent. The quality of the WiFi was very poor! EVERY hotel should have a decent WiFi system!!!

• Al Bulushi (5/5): - The hotel had a very central location, which made it easy to get around and access nearby restaurants, and shops. Overall, the location was the main highlight of the stay. I was given a room designed for guests with disabilities, even though I had not requested one. The bathroom layout was very uncomfortable and not pleasant to use. Also, the breakfast was exactly the same every day for five days, which became repetitive and disappointing.

• Hannah (7/5): Convenient bolthole, let down by the finish - This is a convenient hotel close to the train station. Check in staff were lovely. Breakfast also deserves a shout out - the bacon was really exceptional. The layout is a bit odd, convoluted walk to my room. The room itself was large, but definitely tired with some questionable DIY (large exposed areas of filler). The bathroom however was very clean and less tired. Bed also very soft, doesn't work for my back but if you like soft you'll be happy!

• ianpN1665YN (10/5): Again 100% perfection - Stayed for 1 night this time with my daughter just for a stop to see friends. Cant really say much apart from perfect. Room was very clean and tidy could not find a single fault. Check in was quickly done by Craig gave all the info needed and made sure I didn't need anything during my stay. Special metion to Eddie too who is always friendly and helpful. Breakfast 100% everything you need to start the day. Can't wait for my 1 week stay in August. Anyone looking for a hotel for Middlesbrough/ hartlepool then choose this hotel location is perfect. Thank you to all staff at this hotel. Ian

• Happyholidays2011 (6/5): Visiting Family - We stayed for 2 nights, to visit family in April. The hotel is centrally located. The reception team are super friendly and efficient. The hotel is in good order and has plenty of cleaning staff on hand to turn rooms around quickly. The rooms themselves are comfortable, clean and well appointed. The breakfast was incl and was ok, not much flavour, with anything, however for the price it’s a bargain.
• 384derekh (10/5): Superb Stay - On arrival we were greeted with friendly staff who were having a informal uniform day to which they told us they were thoroughly enjoying. The room was spotless as was the rest of the Hotel. Breakfast was plentiful and cooked perfectly. One of the best breakfasts our party had enjoyed whilst staying in various hotels in the UK. Overall great staff,room and food.
